First off, I'd like to apologize for missing my last two updates. I kinda lost my inspiration for this for a while and was working on a Fire Emblem Awakening fanfic, but I'm back and ready to finish this!
Haruka frowned, looking back and forth between the papers in front of her. Tomochika had finally convinced Haruka to start planning for the re-marriage and had picked out two shades of pink for Haruka to chose between for the color of the table cloths, bringing in an entire box of papers and planning supplies into her room. The only problem was that the two shades of pink looked like the same color.
"Um... Is there really a difference between them?" Questioned Haruka, handing them both back to Tomochika. "They look the same to me."
"No no, they're different! See, this one is slightly lighter with a red tint to it while this one is slightly darker with an orange."
"Oh..."
"Or maybe they are." Tomochika snatched them from Haruka, looking at them closely. "I might have grabbed two by accident." Haruka let out a sigh, a smile sneaking onto her face. Tomochika was taking this far too seriously, even if it was important, it wasn't that important.
"Tomo-chan, just pick what you think is right, you're better at this than me." Haruka smiled.
"Hm... you're right, we'll go with this one. No wait, this one!"
"I thought you said they were the same."
"No, they were different."
A knock sounded at the door, a nervous voice calling out. "Are you decent?"
"Come in!" Tomochika called, keeping her eyes on the papers, holding them up to the light to see them better. The door opened with a squeak and in walked a familiar black haired boy, a small smile plastered on his face as he balanced some cups and snacks on a saucer with one hand, trying to close the door with the other.
"I brought snacks!" Taichi smiled, walking them over to the girls and kneeling down to put them next to Haruka.
"Thanks, Taichi-kun!" Haruka smiled, reaching out to take a cookie from the plate. Tomochika practically lept at Haruka, pulling her away. "W-wha-"
"Haru-chan, no! What are you doing?! You have to watch your figure! You don't want to grow out of your dress before the wedding!"
"B-but we don't even have a dress yet..." Haruka cried, shifting away from Tomochika, who crossed her arms and huffed.
"We will later! And what happens if the weight comes back later?! You'll be fat! On your wedding night, when you two, you know..." Haruka blushed, covering her face. It was bad enough that Tomochika kept reminding her what would happen on her wedding night, but she really wished she wouldn't remind her when Taichi was in the room. Haruka peaked at him and he seemed to be even more red than Haruka was.
"T-they're low fat-"
"Give me!" Tomochika cried, stuffing one into her mouth. Taichi gave Haruka a weird smile and Haruka laughed awkwardly, picking one up and eating it.
"So what are you two doing?"
"We're picking out table cloth colors." Haruka said, handing the two sheets of pink to Taichi. He took them and sat down, looking them over.
"I see... So it's between light pink with a hint of red or dark pink with a hint of orange." Haruka's mouth dropped open, staring at Taichi. He blushed and handed them back to her. "Er, what? I know a bit about colors."
"I knew they were different." Tomochika whispered in victory, snatching them back and looked between them.
"I think the light pink with red is better." Taichi said.
"Really?"
"Yeah, it brings out her eyes." Haruka continued to stare at Taichi.
"I-it does!" Taichi insisted, feeling uncomfortable under Haruka's stare.
"But we're going to have red roses on the tables, so wouldn't that be too much red?"
"No, the red is so subtle that it'll, if anything, just make the red of the roses pop out more."
"That... makes so much sense!" Tomochika cried, a smile breaking out on her face.
"It... it does?" Haruka questioned, looking at the two pinks. No matter how she looked at it, it was just pink- the same pink. The exact same color. "I don't get this at all."
"So what does Jinguji-sama thinking about all of this?" Asked Taichi, looking through the box.
"He doesn't care too much." Tomochika waved him off, sighing. "He's working on the food, and by that I mean he's not doing anything."
"Ren has to work is all." Haruka frowned, crossing her arms.
"True, true, but still-."
"So he can pay you." Tomochika closed her mouth, looking back at the papers she brought in. "What's in that big box?" Haruka asked, pearing in.
"That? Just some places for the wedding, some dress ideas, and a bunch of other junk I threw in." Tomochika shrugged, standing up and laying down on Haruka's bed. "You should look through it."
"All of it?" Asked Haruka in uncertainty.
"It looks heavier than you." Taichi chuckled. "And it probably has more mass."
"I'm not that light." Haruka pouted, picking up a magazine for tropical vacations. She placed it next to her before looking through the box, finding a magazine full of baby toys. "Why is this here?"
"What?" Tomochika sat up, trying to see what Haruka was holding. A devious smile snuck onto her face. "Oh, that? It's for after you go there." Tomochika pointed to the magazine on tropical vacations next to Haruka. It took a moment, but when Tomochika's words finally managed to process in Haruka's mind, she blushed ten shades of red and practically threw the magazine at Tomochika.
"Stop it!" She cried. "I already know what's going to happen, so please stop pointing out to me that I'm going to have sex with Ren!" The room was silent for a moment, Haruka catching her breath from her outburst.
The sniffled sound of laughter caught Haruka's ear and she turned to the door, where a chuckling Ren stood, peaking in slightly. He closed the door, leaving the three to sit in silence.
"That's a good shade of pink too." Tomochika pointed out, pointing at Haruka's face.
"Yeah, it brings out her eyes."
"Why... me..."
Hey guys, I'm really sorry for the lack of updates. But, funny enough, now that I'm in school again, I think I'll be much more motivated to work!
