OMG Pterodactyls here as well as there! Hello my fellow human-ish peoples! Don't own Darksiders and thanks to detrametal and booknerd104. As usual. *Sniff* we're finally at the final chapter. Fi! Nal! Ly! But in any case, read, enjoy, review, then get out. But in other news, velociraptors are attacking! Yay! Dreams do come true!

We finally made it back to the Ashlands and rode across the Leviathan's Drift - the place where the Horseman fought the Stygian.

At the base of the cliff we banished our mounts.

"Are you ready? We wouldn't want to keep Abaddon waiting." The Watcher came out and said. But we ignored him and flew up the cliff by way of Shadow Realm hidden orb. Meaning I was carried.

"Hey Big Red, are ya ready?" I asked as we crossed the invisible bridge. "I mean, you're about ta fight the Destroyer fucker. This is like the final boss fight in a video game. Ya ain't a little nervous?"

"No."

"Hmm, you're mouth says no, but the tension in the air 'round ya says yes."

We made it to the other side where Azrael was waiting and I dropped to the ground.

"We're baaaaack!"

Azzy didn't look at us, "It's Abaddon. Uriel has lead the Hellguard against him. It is as you foretold. The Hellguard will fall."

Well, that ain't good.

The Horseman drew the blade from him back, "Angel of Death - serve me one last time."

The angel just nodded.

"Well Big Red, guess this is it." I told him.

"You're not coming?"

I laughed at the preposterous suggestion, "Hell naw. I know my limits and the Big Boss Dude is way above them. Soooo, I'ma just sit back here with Azzy and chill. But, uh, good luck and all that." I held up my hand, hoping he would get it.

He hit my open hand with his, completing the high-five. Whoo!

"This is for all the cookies, Horseman. When you proceed, there's no return." The Stalker said as he and War made their way to the newly opened portal on the ground, courtesy of Azzy.

"Hold up a sec! Nobody told me there'd be cookies! Wait dammit!" I was too late. The Horseman had already stepped onto the portal and disappeared, as did the portal.

"Uh, I do not think he meant real cookies." The angel told me.

"I know. So Azzy, why'da we do now?"

"We wait."

"Ugh, that's gonna be borin."

It took only me a few seconds to start pacing and biting my thumb in apprehension. I may have told War that I'd sit back and relax but I could do anything but.

"What is wrong Hope?" Azzy asked.

"It's killin me not knowin what's goin on."

"Perhaps I can help with that."

"Hm?"

After mumbling a few incoherent words, Azzy opened up a hole in the ground. Instead of showing whatever was below us though, it showed the Horseman walking towards a giant dragon. Had to be the Destroyer. Probably. Definitely. Sure, why not?

"Awesome!" I told him.

"With this, we can see whatever happens."

The dragon had started talking to War and I had stopped listening to the angel. The Destroyer held out a claw which was holding the angel bitch Uriel, who seemed to be unconscious.

What happened ta her wings?

"She mistook me for… someone else. She loved him. And I believe that he loved her… long ago, before all this…"

I frikkin knew it!

"Foolishly, he chose duty above all, and died for it. Will you do the same?"

Why is one o' his eyes on fire?

"Heaven hunts you… Hell hates you. All of creation cares not whether you live or die."

The Horseman just stood there, readjusting his grip on the Armageddon Blade and looking as if the whole thing pissed him off. Then again, he pretty much always looked like that.

"Fuckin liar! There're people who care!" I don't know why I shouted, not like they could hear me. Azzy gave me a funny look though.

"Join me, War. Like a great sword, I will raise you up, and our enemies will shatter against us. The spoils of a thousand victories will be yours."

Why does Big Red look as is he's actually considerin this? Don't do it! You're here ta kill 'im!

"Or, serve the justice of a corrupt Council. And a Creator who abandons his most faithful. I offer you this choice, Horseman. Would you serve in Heaven, or rule in Hell?"

They stared at each other as War made his decision. Of course he made the right one.

Big Red ripped his sword out of the ground, "I choose what once, a coward did not."

"Oooooh! Buuuuurn mother fucker!"

The Destroyer threw Uriel and roared at War. And the fight was on.

Big Red summoned Ruin and took off. He and the Big Boss Dude circled before charging at each other. When he got close enough, War slashed at the dragon, causing him to stumble and fall. While he was downed, Big Red continued to slash at him from atop Ruin. When the Destroyer managed to get up they repeated the whole thing except when he got up this time, the dragon took to the air and crashed back down. Luckily, the Horseman managed to get out of the way, but just barely. They repeated this whole song and dance a couple more times.

It was just starting to get boring when they charged at each other again but this time Ruin dived into the ground beneath the dragon as War jumped onto the Destroyer's back who took to the air with the Horseman still hanging on. Struggling to keep ahold of the dragon, Big Red stabbed his blade into the Destroyer's back and ripped it out before falling back down to the battleground.

I jumped up and started cheering, "Fuck yeah! He did it!"

"Not yet. Look Hope." Azzy said, raining on my parade.

I looked back into the vision portal thingy to see the dragon shrinking and changing shape until he looked more like a man than a dragon.

Big Red used his wings to float the last few feet to the ground while the man crashed down, and through, the battle ground. He followed the man down through the new hole and landed as the man - the angel - got up off the ground.

It was Abaddon. I think. He looked totally opposite from the Abby in Azrael's flashback but it was him. By totally opposite, I mean he looked totally opposite. His armor was red and black instead of blue and gold, his hair was dark grey instead of white, and his wings were black. He was also carrying a really long sword. I know he was not carrying that earlier.

Oh, so it's one o' those kinds o' fights.

"Ahhh… The Armageddon Blade. This will be interesting." The former angel said before attacking War.

Abby jumped up and slammed back down. A glowing yellow circle appeared beneath him and something that looked like giant blades came slashing down all around him. Big Red barely managed to get out of the way.

It went on like this for a while, the Horseman would attack the former angel who would block most of the hits then start attacking Big Red, usually with blades made of energy or whatever.

"You have forced my hand. This ends NOW!" the Destroyer shouted before attacking again.

They stood for a moment, hacking away at one another but each blow was blocked. They ended up in a deadlock, both trying to push the other back. Big Red won that little mini-battle and slashed at the former angel.

"Yeah! Ya got this Big Red! Kill that bastard!" I looked up at Azzy, "Ah, sorry." Kinda forgot Abby was once his friend.

He didn't answer and continued to watch the fight.

Abby had flown up and teleported away from the platform, don't see he didn't just fly away though. He made three huge rocks rise up from somewhere and held them in the air before sending them flying towards the Horseman one after the other. The Destroyer teleported back down and the whole thing was repeated.

"Ah ah ah." He tsked at War when they started slashing at each other again. "No… It cannot end like this…"

They did the whole deadlock thing again but this time after War broke the deadlock, he hacked at Abby until the former angel's sword was knocked out of his hands. Big Red slashed at him one more time, laying the Destroyer flat.

Abby tried to crawl away but I guess War stepped on his back or something, "You have taught me something, Abaddon. Sometimes duty must be cast aside, to do what must be done. It is not for duty that I kill you now." He grabbed Abby's wings, pulling them back until they finally tore off with a spray of blood and a yell of pain from the former angel.

Hooooly Hellish shit, that's gotta hurt like a mother.

The Destroyer flipped over onto his back as Uriel floated down, "UrielUriel…"

"Reap what you have sown, betrayer." She told him.

War took the Armageddon Blade and stabbed it into Abaddon's chest, killing him. Just like that, the Destroyer was dead.

I jumped up again, "Woohoo! It's finally over!"

"Hope…" Azzy called. It wasn't over yet. Dammit.

I looked back to see something fall from Abby's hand. It was diamond shaped with the picture of four horses on it. One of the Seals. Probably the seventh one that he was guarding. I thought they were bigger than that though.

Big Red picked it up from the pool of Abby's blood but as soon as he straightened, he was surrounded by a blue light and he yelled out in pain before falling to the ground.

"War!" "Big Red!" the Bitch and myself called out at the same time.

The Horseman dropped the Seal and the Watcher appeared with a laugh, "You had to know it was a one way ticket…"

"The… Council…" War growled out, probably still very much in pain.

So is this what he meant by the Council betrayin 'im?

"They knew you'd never play executioner because of your precious honor." The Stalker went on as War crawled towards where the Seal had fallen. "They let you take the fall. They knew you'd butcher everyone involved to clear your name. And you did."

Hah! Joke's on you! Azzy's still alive and so is Hammer! I think…

Uriel came flying at them out of nowhere, "No!"

The Watcher sent the angel flying back with the same trick he was using on Big Red. "Patience, whore. I've got some for you too." He said before picking up the Seal that War had almost managed to grab, "I'll take that… If it were to get broken, you might get ideas - like not going back in your little cage. It's tragic, really. You had freedom in the palm of your hand… and you LOST it!" he finished with a laugh.

"That little bitch!" I yelled. "He's so lucky I'm not there right now!"

Then Big Red chuckled. It was honestly the scariest thing I'd ever heard.

"What's so damn funny? Even you wouldn't laugh at your own funeral."

Ooooh, he said a swear.

"I'm laughing… at yours." The Horseman answered, finally managing to stand. Only to be stabbed in the back with the Armageddon Blade.

"…Big Red… What… the… FUCK?! Who the fuckin Hell just killed Big Red?! Wait, he cain't die, can he?" I asked, looking to Azrael who didn't answer. "He cain't…"

"Nex Sacramentum." Uriel said, still holding the sword in War's chest. "The Death Oath is complete."

"You BITCH!"

She pulled the sword out of the Horseman's chest and attacked the Watcher. Or more accurately, she attacked the Seal, breaking it. The force of it breaking sent out a shockwave, knocking the angel back and blasting the sprite's arm off.

"Hellguard bitch! What did you do?!" The Watcher tried to scoop up the broken pieces of the Seal with his remaining arm. Don't see what good it was going to do though.

Wait… Big Red's movin!

And he was moving. It was just a twitch at first but then he started getting up. He was alive! Don't see how but he was!

"…no… no… NO!" the Watcher yelled and threw Uriel with that weird magic of his. "I'm going to pull your guts out though your halo!"

But she doesn't have a halo…

The annoying sprite drew his arm back, ready to follow through on his threat but Big Red came up behind him and grabbed his arm, stopping him.

The Stalker chuckled, "Keep getting up… I'll just kill you again!"

War didn't say anything and just bitch slapped the sprite, sending him flying.

Yeah! Show 'im who's boss Big Red!

"I was just following orders… like you…" he said before the Horseman punched him. "What are you going to do, fight the Council? Fight EVERYONE?!" He was kicked this time, sending him rolling to the middle of the platform.

Knowin Big Red, he'd do it. He already said he was goin after the Council after this was over.

"You'll never get away… you hear me? NEVER! Don't… forget… who holds… the leash…" he yelled as the Horseman drew closer.

Big Red picked up the Watcher by the head, "I haven't forgotten." With that, he simply crushed the sprite's head.

"Are you alright Hope?" Azzy asked me.

"No. Yes. Maybe. I think I'm bout ta cry. The Watcher is dead. This is the happiest day o' my life!"

War tossed the Stalker's body to the side as the bitch Uriel pointed her sword at him, "You knew… You knew what happen here. What I would do. That's why you spared me."

"No." Was the Horseman's answer.

"Then why?"

"Because I would not have the last of Heaven's honor die with its Champion."

The angel lowered her sword and knelt, "All debts are repaid. The duty I uphold - it may call me to raise my sword against you. And if that day comes, I won't hesitate."

Big Red turned and started to walk away and Uriel stood, "You will be hunted! The White City for certain… The Council… and… there will be others! You would wage this war alone?!"

War raised up the broken Seal, "No. Not alone." Behind him, three different colored meteors fell from the sky.

What a perfect endin and setup fer a sequel.

Well, guess that's the end of that. I'm happy but… what happens now?

Signing off,

Hope
