I know, I'm a couple of days late, but I got it out sooner than I expected and am already working on the next one. For those of you who read my author notes in gooh, I was a chapter ahead of myself for the much laughter filled chapter. that's the next one. Sorry. Anyway, I do not own Yugioh, Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani, or Kenmore, enjoy! [YUGI, YAMI, and ATEM]
Chapter 33
"This way, Prince. But I must ask, where are the King and Queen?" the host asked as he led Yugi and Sakura to a table in the middle of the room.
"Oh, today, it's just my sister and I out to have a good time. It's been ages since we spent any alone time together. September I think was the last time in fact." Yugi said back.
"Ah, I see." The host said frowning.
"Uh huh, oh, and can you tell the chef that I won't be taking my drug today, please?" Yugi asked grabbing his sleeve before he could leave.
"I shall make sure to deliver the message." He said bowing before leaving to head back towards the kitchens.
"Yugi, there are vampires everywhere in this restaurant, and they're all staring at us." Sakura complained.
"I know Maria, but they have really good food here. And the waitress is really nice." Yugi said as she came to stand before their table. Candy glared daggers at Yugi before turning to Sakura, her glare increasing. Her voice however was polite as she asked them what they wanted for drinks. They told her and she nodded walking off.
"Oh, yes, that glare screamed mountains of kindness." Sakura said sarcastically.
"Yeah, she doesn't like me." Yugi said shaking his head.
"Why?"
"I almost got her fired the first time I came here with Atem and Yami." Yugi said shrugging. Sakura shook her head at him.
"Alright, out with it, what did you want to tell me? You have me in a very public place filled with vampires, and if I make a scene I will never hear the end of it at that Ball on Christmas Eve."
"Uh, what if I told you, hypothetically speaking of course, that I loved my mates?" Yugi asked slowly looking at anything but her.
"I would ask you if you lost your mind." Sakura said bluntly.
"And if I wasn't speaking hypothetically?"
"Yugi, you can't!"
"Those are your rules S-Maria! I don't have to abide by them."
"It's called loyalty and trust to kin!"
"No it's called stupid. Just one more thing they use to control the vampire race!" somehow their argument had gone from hushed furious whispers to outright yelling.
"Vampire race has nothing to do with it. It's to ensure the safety of the Hunters!"
"Well, I'm not a Hunter, and I wouldn't want to be one either!" Yugi had sprung to his feet. So much for not making a scene he thought.
"I can't believe you just said that! What happened to your ambitions after Sarugaki died?!"
"I met new and better vampires who love me for me! Flaws included!"
"I can't believe what I'm hearing coming out of your mouth! What am I to tell my Masters when they ask me how breaking the three of you up is coming along tomorrow?!"
"That it's a lost cause and they should just abandon ship! Either that or change their own stupid rules. Why does it matter if one of your family members is in a relationship with a vampire? It's not like you're committing the taboo."
"No, but the closer you get to them, the closer the damn vampire Mahad thinks he has to get closer to me."
"I thought Atem ordered him to stay away from you?"
"Not exactly. What he ordered was for Mahad to not bite me."
Ateeeeeem.
What did I do?
You are in so much trouble when I get home.
"…ouldn't follow me around like a lost puppy. At this rate he's going to find the base! Are you listening to me!?" Sakura asked noticing his spaced out look.
What did I do?
"Yes."
So much trouble.
Can I get a hint as to what I did?
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Yugi said sitting back down.
"Alright." Sakura said sitting down as well.
No.
"Let's just enjoy the rest of the day. No more fighting subjects." Yugi said as Candy finally set their drinks down in front of them. She asked for their orders, and Sakura ordered the trout while Yugi lamb. She took their menus and walked off.
"Yugi, you're seventeen. You can't possibly know what love is."
"I know it's making sacrifices and changes for the person you care about. For not caring if they walk around in sweatpants and sweatshirts, because they still look sexy anyway. I know it's feeling happy even when you're angry. I know it's about acceptance, no fear, and imperfections. Love is something that can be described a million different ways and it will still mean the same thing. Unconditional. They say if you love something you should let it go, and if it comes back to you, you know it was meant to be." Yugi explained as best as he could.
"Something you'll never have to worry about, because those two will never let you go."
"I wasn't talking about them." Yugi said shaking his head.
"What?"
"They're going on a two week journey to different countries starting December 31 and won't be returning until…well, until two weeks later. My heart hurts just thinking about it, but it's for the best. If I really love them like I say I do, then I have to let them go. Let them go and trust them to come back."
"Would they do the same for you though?" Sakura asked seriously.
"Of course they would." Yugi said back though he wasn't exactly sure if they would or not.
"Yugi."
"I don't know."
"Well, at least they've made you feel like the Palace is your home right? I mean you have your room, and then your personal room like they do, right?"
"Huh?" Yugi asked she had lost him.
"You know, like how they have their studies, you have yours somewhere in the Palace too, right?"
"Uh, actually my room kind of is my study, that's where my desk is." Yugi said kicking his feet under the table. The conversation was making him uneasy.
"Oh. Well, I'm sure that if you asked for one of their empty rooms, they'd give it to you. After all, there's not much they would deny the one they love if it's in their power to give, right?" Sakura asked. Yugi could tell she felt smug, could see it in her eyes.
"No, I suppose not. But they've given me so much already, to ask for more…that just wouldn't be right." Yugi said shaking his head.
"Yugi, they have six floors, not including the tower, of rooms. I'm sure they can part with one. It's not going to kill them."
"Yeah, okay." Yugi agreed as their food arrived.
"Just ask, there's no harm in a simple question." Sakura encouraged. Yugi smiled back at her, but he didn't know why she was pushing it so much. Maybe, to see how his mates would react? Honestly, he didn't know. So he just ate the food he had lost all appetite for. The first bite was halfway to his mouth when he remembered something.
"Oh, Maria?"
"Hm?"
"We need to go shopping for a new phone for me." He said setting his fork down.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because my last one kind of went bzzt poof yesterday."
"It went what?"
"Bzzt poof!"
"…"
"It blew up."
"How?"
"Well, I was having a side effect that I've named electric touch, and I went to call someone and it kind of died when I tried to punch in the numbers."
"Why were you trying to call someone?"
"Because, um, I hurt Yami. I barely touched him, I simply tapped my fingertips against his chest, restarting his heart and sending him flying a couple of feet into a lamppost." Yugi said biting his lip.
"Did you kill him?" Maria asked a strange look in her eyes.
"No!" Yugi's voice rose a few octaves.
"Well, you didn't hit him hard enough then."
"Maria!"
"Just saying." She said in a non chanting voice shrugging.
"Well, keep those thoughts to yourself, please." Yugi said in a huffy voice.
"Whatever, let's just eat."
Yugi shook his head before eating the food in front of him. He was so disturbed by his sister's comment that he didn't even taste what he was eating, simply eating it. It was gone before he even realized he was only biting fork and thin air, getting many odd looks from those around him, his sister included. He just shook it off though, asking for check so they could just get out of here.
[Time skip]
Yugi wandered the halls checking every room he came across but they were all filled with beds. He had looked for his mates earlier but they had mysteriously disappeared. Big surprise there. Still, it gave him a chance to avoid the awkwardness of asking if they had a spare room. And even if they did, or he found one, what on Earth was he going to put in it? Yugi opened another one, and found the girls he needed to find, the ones making his dress. The ones who would force him into it come Christmas Eve.
Yugi snapped the door shut behind him, and they turned, immediately trying to hide the dress from view. It was too late though; he had already seen it and decided that he wasn't a big fan of it. It looked like the top half was the made to look similar to a tuxedo, while the bottom was a long dark purple skirt. Oh no, this just would never do.
"You cannot see it yet! Get out, get out!" one of the girls yelled at him.
"I don't like it."
"What?" another asked.
"I don't like it. It's not…feminine enough."
"But in the summer you were complaining that the dress was too feminine." The second one said.
"I've changed my mind on the whole issue. I mean it's only two nights out of the year, right? I can put up with a little embarrassment."
"You're not wearing the dress, are you?" the third girl asked.
"I might, sometime in the night, but at the beginning, no." Yugi said smirking.
"Who is?"
"My cousin, Heba. So, here's what I want to see out of this dress…"
[Time skip]
"Don't forget the spray. If it's not applied correctly it'll come off and everything will be ruined." Yugi said coming out of the room. This was going to be so much fun! He shut the door and saw Yami standing across the hall from him.
"So, do you approve of your no-longer-a-surprise dress?" he asked before whistling sharply.
"Do I ever!" Yugi said his grin getting bigger.
"You're still going to be wearing a skirt."
"That's okay." Yugi said walking across the hallway and hugging him.
"So, what's Atem in trouble for?"
"Huh?" Yugi asked looking up at him.
"You said he was in trouble."
"I did? Oh yeah!" he had forgotten about that.
"Thanks for reminding him." Atem said moodily.
"Anytime." Yami said back grinning.
"'Tem! I've changed my mind. Maria is a big girl; she can take care of herself. If she can lose twenty vampires at once, one should be no problem for her." Yugi said giving him a hug.
"Alright, why are you way down here on the bottom floor?"
"Um, because I covered all the rest already. Oh! And I found your study, 'Tem."
"Good for you."
"You weren't in it."
"I was going over Ball details. There's still so much to do. We're taking a break right now though, so what do you want to do?" Atem asked running a hand through his hair. Yugi leaned in to the touch.
"Uh, find an empty room?" he asked looking at the ground.
"What for?" Yami asked in curiosity.
"Um, to make into a game room?"
"Oh, well we-" Yami started but was cut off by Atem clapping a hand over his mouth.
"Know exactly where one is. Stay right here." And they were gone. And then back again.
"Don't move." Atem repeated before he was gone again. Yugi sighed before sitting down on the ground.
He sat there, and sat there, and sat there. He continued sitting there looking down both ends of the hallway every now and then to see if they were coming back or not. He had been sitting for who knew how long, before giving up and getting up. He would find an empty room on his own. That had been his intention anyway. To avoid awkward questions. He dusted dust off his pants and stood up straight. He moved his foot to continue down the hallway, when a hand covered his eyes and another on his mouth.
ATEM! YAMI! HELP!
"Shh, I've got you, Yugi." Atem whispered in his ear.
You scared me.
"I know, I'm sorry. Okay, I'm going to remove my hand from your mouth, no screaming okay?" he asked.
Okay, I won't scream.
"Good, now come on, I want to show you something." Atem said turning him around and leading him down the hallway.
"Yugi?" that was Yami's voice and it sounded like it was a little ways ahead of them. He sounded scared.
"It's okay, Atem's got me." Yugi responded jerking his thumb over his shoulder. At the same time he felt cool metal press against his windpipe. He froze. He was yanked out of Atem's arms, and thrown away into another pair. He opened his eyes to see a grotesque vampire; at least he thought it was vampire, a couple of feet in front of him facing off against…Atem? He was pressed into a corner behind Yami. He was so confused, what was going on? He peeked under Yami's arm to see the grotesque vampire fleeing.
"I thought we killed all those things. Banned them from existing." Atem spat out coming over to them.
"Wasn't that a vampire?" Yugi asked wrapping his arms around Yami's middle.
"Not anymore. It's been warped by science. It's what we call a mimicker. They can mimic any voice or ability of the vampire they're impersonating. The only thing they can't mimic is the appearance." Atem said sadly. He drew Yugi out from behind Yami and pulled him into a hug along with Yami. Yami wrapped his arms around them as well. They stood there in the hallway, just holding one another until another vampire came up to disturb them.
"My King, there you are. You've been gone for ten minutes now. There is still so much to do, come away now."
"No, I'm spending the rest of my day with my mates." Atem said firmly taking their hands and leading them away.
"But my King!"
"Do whatever feels right to you for the streamers, okay? Oh, and no black theme this year, okay?" Atem said back turning the corner. Yami let go of Atem's hand and skipped ahead closing a door along the way, he disappeared into a random room.
"Atem, I checked these rooms already." Yugi said.
"Well, I think you missed one." Atem said grabbing both of his hands and leading him into the same room that Yami had disappeared in. Yugi's jaw dropped. It looked like two rooms in one it was so big. It had two closets, a bathroom and a terrace that lead out towards his dueling arena.
"So, will it do?" Yami asked.
"Yeah, it's alright. Are you kidding? It's huge! Much bigger than I thought it would be! Thank you!" Yugi said springing at them and giving them both a kiss. They seemed a little shocked at the quick kisses because they didn't even respond to them. Not Yugi was expecting them to, they were quick.
"Now let's go fill it with things! And we shall use Kaiba's card to do so!" Yugi said skipping from the room. He poked his head back inside after they didn't follow him.
"You know, I just realized that this room is missing something." He said walking around the room.
"What?" Yami asked.
"Outlets." He said bluntly pointing out that it had nowhere to plug in things.
"We'll get someone on that. Just to let you feel a little human in your private room." Atem said nodding.
"Really?" Yugi asked surprised.
"Of course. This place is your home, and we'll do anything to make it feel that way to you." Yami said appearing in front of him leaning down to kiss him.
"Alright, but now we have to go. So much to do, and so little time in which to do it." Yugi said skipping out of the room again.
"Denied." He heard Atem say in a teasing matter.
"You guys coming?" Yugi asked appearing in the doorway when they failed to follow again.
"Of course." Atem said taking Yami's hand. Yugi's eyes flicked down to them, before moving away and back down the hallway.
"Then let's go. I'll be an old man before you two decide you want to come on this little shopping trip with me." Yugi teased before disappearing out of the doorway again and skipping down the hallway again. He didn't get far before he was being tickled from behind, making him shriek in laughter.
"You will, will you?" Atem asked as he tickled him.
"Y-y-yes!" Yugi shrieked.
"Well, then, where are we going?" Yami asked scooping him up in his arms.
"Our room, it's cold out there and I need my jacket or I'm going to get sick. And thanks for saving me from the tickle monster." Yugi said kissing him softly.
"You're welcome." He replied.
"Hey, I have a question."
"Hmm?" Atem responded.
"If I asked you to wear sweatpants and sweatshirts, would you?"
"Why?" Yami asked in confusion.
"Because I want to know if you look as sexy in those as you do in everything else you wear."
"…"
"Or not. Really, it was just a curiosity thing." Yugi said hurriedly pushing himself out of Yami's slack grip. He rushed up the stairs leading to their room grabbing his wallet and coat before rushing back down. They were still standing there with dumbstruck looks on their faces.
"Um, you ready to go?" he asked putting on his coat and zipping it up. He shuffled his feet nervously.
"Okay, we'll wear these outfits that you want to see us in tonight, but it'll cost you." Atem said shaking himself out of his stupor.
"What?" Yugi asked tilting his head cutely. Atem bent down and whispered in his ear what they wanted. Yugi's face went from pale moonlight to a very dark red in a nanosecond.
"I think we should go." he said in a very high voice starting to walk away.
"I love that color on him." Yami sighed.
"Come on, Habibi." Atem said grabbing his hand and pulling him along.
[Time skip]
"Are we done yet?" Yami whined as they made their way to another store.
"Almost, now stop complaining, you wanted to come." Yugi said rolling his eyes.
"You're worse than a woman when shopping, Yugi." Atem complained.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know that we went into every store and came out with everything or nothing." Yugi snapped back.
"Is that your impression of how women shop?"
"I've gone shopping with Onee-chan before, and that's how she shops."
"You're basing an entire gender on one person?"
"Yes."
"I like it." Yami said. Yugi heard a light smack behind him. He looked over his shoulder to see Yami rubbing the back of his head and glaring at Atem.
"Okay, this is the last store." Yugi said stopping outside of an appliance store and opening the doors.
"You said that about the past three stores, why should this one be any different?" Atem asked.
"Because this one really is the last store."
"What do we need here?" Yami asked.
"A couple of things." Yugi said stretching before walking up to a salesperson.
"Here we go again." he heard Atem say.
"Yes, can I help you find anything?" they asked. Yugi looked at their name tag to see that it read Dilan. He stopped breathing for a second frozen in fear, before shaking it off. This man just shared the same name, he wasn't him.
"Yes, I need several things, and was wondering if we could start with the fridges?"
"What do you need a fridge for?" Atem asked.
"For food. Don't mind them; they're just tired of shopping." Yugi said waving them off.
"Okay, well we have an area were the children go while their parents are shopping." Dilan said grinning. Yugi had to clap a hand over his mouth so he didn't burst out laughing. His body was shaking with the effort of keeping it in. Atem and Yami glared menacingly up at him, but with their short stature to the Dilan's 6' 8", it lost a lot of edge.
"We're both dozens of times over your age, child. You should think carefully before speaking."
"Really? You mean you're over 7,000 years old? Interesting, didn't know that." Dilan said unfazed by their attitudes.
"What?"
"I'm a werewolf that's 7,189 years old."
"Wow, you're older than us." Yami said in awe.
"He's lying, he's really only 20!" someone yelled as they passed by.
"Ruin all my fun, Charlie!" Dilan shouted back at him.
"Anytime!" Charlie shouted back as he made his way towards the exercise equipment.
"Like I said we have years on you." Atem said smirking.
"Yeah, yeah, come on little human, we shall go in search of the perfect fridge!" he said grabbing Yugi and dragging him away.
"Hey! Get back here with our human!" Yami shouted after them. Dilan stopped in front of the fridges and asked what he was looking for in particular.
"A fridge to hold enough food to feed an endless pit of a werewolf." Yugi explained.
"Good luck with that." Dilan laughed.
"So do you have anything?" Yugi asked.
"I just might, here what about this one." Dilan asked taking his hand and pulling him over to the French Door refrigerators. After looking them all over, Yugi finally decided on the Kenmore 26 cu. ft. French door refrigerator with fresh storage drawer in black. They both agreed it would go with the rest of the furniture in the room, as well as the color that he was going to paint the walls. They also agreed that the stainless steel would work too, but the black would pop better. They moved on to ovens next. The one he chose was the Kenmore 5.3 cu. ft. electric range with self-cleaning oven in black. He tried to sell a sink to Yugi too, but he explained that he already had one.
"Alright, and when do you want this delivered?" Dilan asked.
"Actually I have a moving truck out in the parking lot already." Yugi said.
"You do?" Dilan asked.
"So, let's pack them up into it."
"Uh, okay." Dilan said calling up some more guys to help him move the desired item into his truck while they went to pay for them.
Yugi gave him Kaiba's credit card number, and Dilan took it shaking his head muttering something about a bad idea. He heard Atem and Yami arguing in hushed whispers behind him. He turned his head towards them as he waited for his receipt, catching a few words.
"…control…change…could be….see." they stopped looking back him to see his staring at them.
"Ready, Yugi?" Atem asked holding out his hand.
"Uh, yeah." He said taking his receipt and thanking Dilan for his help before running forward and taking Atem's outstretched hand. Yami took his other.
"You know, you guys are lucky to have found someone so damn cute." Dilan spoke up from behind them.
"Yeah, we know." Yami said smirking before they led him out of the store.
"Now that all the work is done, are you ready for the fun part?" Yugi asked them as they climbed into the cab of the truck.
"The fun part?" Atem and Yami asked together.
"Yeah! Putting it into the room." He said excitedly.
"That's the fun part?" Yami whispered to Atem.
"To a human I suppose it would be." Atem whispered back.
"Human can hear you." Yugi pointed out.
"Oh, they're done." Atem said starting up the truck and pulling away from the store and heading back to the Palace.
If I was rich girl (na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na nah)
See, I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl.
No man could test me, impress me, my cash flow would never ever end.
Cause I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl.
If I was ri-
"Hey, Kaiba!"
"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO CHANGE THAT SONG TWO YEARS AGO!" Kaiba screamed making Yugi jerk the phone away from ear.
"But I couldn't find anything that depicted a rich boy." Yugi whined back.
"What is with all the purchases you've just made in the past five hours!?"
"Uh, it's a surprise." Yugi said.
"Not when my money is involved it isn't. WHAT!? YOU JUST MADE TWO MORE PURCHASES!?"
"Uh…" Yugi said trying to come up with something. Yami snatched the phone out of his hand.
"What if we paid you back for half?" he asked.
"That's fine too, but just remember we weren't the idiot who gave them our credit card number."
"Not the point. We'll send you a check, tax not included." Yami said hanging up the phone and handing it back to Yugi.
"Don't worry about it. I'll pay him back myself, I always do." Yugi said taking it and playing with it.
"Nah, its fine, besides you wouldn't deny us a chance to spoil you, would you?" Atem asked.
"Um…no, it's too much, I can't ask you guys to do this for me." Yugi said shaking his head.
"But you're not, we want to do it." Yami said pulling him into his side.
"No, I can't let you." Yugi insisted.
"Tell you what. If you spend the entire day with us tomorrow, we'll call it an even trade." Atem said.
"Uh, is that supposed to be an even compensation?" Yugi asked confused.
"Our days can be very boring, Yugi. Believe me when I say it is way beyond compensation."
"I don't know." Yugi said biting his lip.
"Please? Please, let us do this?" Yami begged in his ear.
"Um, o-okay." Yugi finally conceded but he still felt uneasy about it.
"Thank you." they whispered.
"N-never mind." Yugi said shaking his head.
"Too bad, you already agreed." Yami said pulling his face up and kissing him gently.
"We're here!" Atem announced making Yugi pull away from him and look over at him. He heard Yami growl slightly making him turn back to him, thus failing to see Atem's cheeky grin.
"Okay, let's round up some vampires and move this stuff inside." Yugi said climbing over Yami's lap and hopping out of the truck.
"Where does he get all his energy?" he heard Yami ask.
"I have no idea." Atem responded.
"Come on! Come on!" he encouraged before running inside the Palace and stopping all and any vampires he came across. In the end he had rounded up about 40 which he then led in a single file line back outside to the truck. Atem's and Yami's jaws dropped at the display.
"Yugi! You can't use all of them! Some of them have important jobs that they should be doing." Atem protested.
"Okay, here's the plan. Grab something from the back of the truck without damaging it and follow Either Atem or Yami back to the room where it belongs and set it down anywhere. Let's go! The sooner this is done, the sooner you can get back to your important jobs as Atem calls them." Yugi announced clapping his hands together before opening the truck and stepping aside.
"Ugh, follow me while the King tries to reason with our mate." Yami said motioning for the vampires that had already grabbed items to follow him.
"Yugi, you have to let at least 20 of them go."
"But the more people there are the quicker this will be done. Then you and Yami can rearrange it in the room as I direct." Yugi said looking around him to see the truck 3/4 empty already.
"Yugi, please, just let some of them get back to their jobs."
"But they looked like they needed a break."
"Glad to know your form of a break is more work."
"Alright, this is the last of it. Can some of us go back to the jobs we're supposed to be doing now?" a vampire asked propping an armchair on his shoulder. Yugi nodded enthusiastically.
"Come on Atem, let's get started." Yugi said excitedly grabbing his hand and dragging him to his soon to be game room.
[Time skip]
"Oh, I'm beat." Yugi joked jumping off the counter.
"You didn't do anything except order us around!" Yami complained as he and Atem set down the black couch before the ornamental rug and coffee table before sitting down on it.
"That was a lot of talking though." Yugi said falling down across their laps.
"We'll have someone come in and install electricity and some water pipes tomorrow." Atem said looking around.
"Okay." Yugi said sitting up and sliding in between them before standing up and circling the room, taking it all in. He was actually quite proud of this. The walls were a soft baby blue, most of the furniture and appliances were either a dark emerald green or black, there was a small island bar with counter tops of marble, and the cabinets were made of walnut. The entertainment center was made of walnut, as well as the coffee table with a glass center. He had a stainless steel double sink, a large 52 inch TV, bluray, stereo, two couches, three armchairs big enough for two people to sit in, a small table with five chairs surrounding it in the corner with a small cabinet next to it, a bookshelf in another corner, and last a picture hanging on an empty wall of his parents. He still didn't know how it got there, but it had been there when he returned and didn't really feel like questioning it. Instead he was just thankful for whoever had thought of blowing it up and putting it there. He looked back at his two mates, his face eclipsed by joy.
"I love it." he said grinning.
"Then perhaps we should make use of it right now." Atem said pulling him down on top of him.
"No, we are not having sex on this couch. I don't want to be blushing every time my friends sit down on it."
"We don't have the energy for sex anyway." Yami said moving off the couch. Atem shifted their positions so he was lying down with Yugi on top of him.
"Oh, then what did you have in mind?" Yugi asked. He got his answer by Atem pulling him down into a lip searing kiss. Yugi moaned, fisting his hands into Atem's shirt as if trying to pull him closer. Even though it would be impossible for him to get any closer to the vampire then he was already. He felt weight press down on top of him as wet lips started to suck at his neck.
What is this? A Yugi sandwich?
Sounds delicious to me.
I'm sure it does.
Mmmm, you taste so good.
Just don't bite me.
It's not feeding day, why would I bite you?
Um, cause I taste good?
Yes, but you always taste good.
Yugi pulled away from Atem so he could breathe before reattaching his lips to his throat and starting to create a dark purple bruise there. Atem moaned underneath him, as he felt wandering hands move up and down his sides making him shiver in anticipation. Then they just stopped, and Atem was rolling them all onto the floor, making Yugi hit his head on the coffee table.
"No, Yami. He said no sex on the couch." Atem reprimanded.
"But we need to break it in." Yami whined. Both seemed oblivious to the fact that he was in searing pain. They looked down at him to see him rubbing the back of his head and glaring at Atem.
"Did you hit your head?" he asked.
"Yes, when you rolled us over onto the floor I smacked it on the coffee table." Yugi grunted.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll kiss it and make it all better." Atem said before doing just that.
"Now, how does it feel?" Yami asked.
"Do I look like I'm three?" he asked.
"No, this would be very wrong if you looked like you were three." Yami said shaking his head. Yugi just rolled his eyes getting up and sitting back on the couch. Yami straddled him leaning down and kissing him fiercely. Tongues battled for dominance, hands wandered to forbidden places, and Atem just stood there watching the show in front of him.
Mmm, this is hot.
You know what would make it hotter?
What?
If I was straddling you.
Okay.
Yami flipped them over so he was on bottom. He almost lost his hold on his mouth, but quickly gained back control. He cupped Yami's face titling his head up, giving him more access of that delicious cinnamon taste that was making him high on pleasure. He slid his legs out from under Yami, so they stretched across his thighs, their rock hard members rubbing together. He heard Atem shift slightly before horror flowed over the link.
"Okay, I think that's enough now." he said nervously.
"Oh, I'm sorry have we been ignoring you? How rude of us." Yugi said pulling away from Yami leaning over to kiss him instead. Just before their lips touched he saw a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye and looked over to see Sakura standing there. He yanked back, the same horror he felt from Atem flowing through him.
"Sakura!" he exclaimed shooting off of Yami as if he had been burned all previous bits of pleasure fading out of him quickly.
"Uh, what can we help you with?" he asked straightening his clothes as if that could erase the image she had just seen.
"He's still following me around like a lost dog." She said vehemently choosing to not comment on what she had walked in on.
"Ah, right. Mahad, can we talk please?" Yugi called out. Mahad's head appeared in the doorway, and Yugi motioned over to a closet. He nodded, and went inside. He gave his mates a slight grimace of apology before following him in.
"You have the worst timing." He heard Atem say before he shut the door behind them plunging them in darkness. It was a second late, but a light turned on, too bad Yugi couldn't see where it was coming from exactly.
"What do you need, Prince?" Mahad asked politely.
"Can you please give my sister some space? Especially tomorrow. She's visiting the Base, something she can't do if she can't lose you. Look, I want my sister around for a long time and if you continue to follow her around like you do, people might get the wrong idea." Yugi said trying to be polite before just shaking it off and getting right to it.
"Which would be?" Mahad questioned her.
"That you've bitten her."
"It's a tempting thought, but I don't want your sister dead anymore than you do."
"So, Atem told you?"
"No, I read the rules and guidelines of a Hunter that I stole from your sister's book pile whilst she slept."
"So you know all the laws." He said choosing to ignore the fact that he broke into his old home.
"Yes, and your relationship with my King and Queen is breaking one of them."
"I don't care. The punishment for that law isn't as extreme as the biting or dating rule."
"This is very true. I'm still going to try to convince your sister to leave the Hunter Organization though."
"It's not that simple. If you break from them they erase your memory of the entire time you've been in their service. For my sister that would be five years of her life, gone. The only other way out is death."
"Who told you that?"
"My sister. Who else?"
"She lied."
"What?" Yugi asked in shock and confusion hinted with disbelief.
"Here, it says it right here." Mahad said pulling out a book from inside his cloak pocket. He opened it before handing it to Yugi, pointing to a specific section.
Backing or getting out of T.H.O
Backing out is where you no longer are comfortable with, or are too scared to perform the tasks that we ask of you. You will receive no help from us in your new life for not completing our tests, and instead will be given a small fee for trying out our lifestyle equivalent to the amount of time that you spent in our services. That will be the end of our help, and anything you wish to do from there on will be on your own
Getting out is where you've completed your training and now wish to retire from our services. We will help you to acquire living quarters, a secure job, and anything else you may need to survive when no longer in our services such as therapy. We will thank you with a medal of honor for serving us, the medal depending on both your position and years in service. We wish you luck in your new life and know you will aspire to do great things in your new future.
Yugi blinked. He blinked again, before shaking his head and reading it again. He must have been reading wrong because that was nothing like what his sister had told him. But no, he didn't, because there it was in clear black print. If she wanted to leave, she could, no fear, no hard feelings. Yugi lowered the book, shutting it as he did so, before looking up at Mahad and said two words.
"Stay here."
He opened the door to see Sakura arguing with his mates about him. Anger grew up inside him; she had lied to him about this. What else had she lied to him about? What else had she purposefully made him feel guilty, like he was the bad guy, about? He suddenly couldn't take it anymore, and chucked the book at her. It hit her chest square on, effectively silencing all talk that had been previously going on. She looked down at it before back up at him, a frown forming on her face.
"Erase your memories huh?" he asked anger slowly leaking into his voice. The frown fell away to be replaced with a horrified expression.
"Yugi, let me explain."
"What's to explain? You obviously wanted me to feel like the bad guy. Congratulations, mission accomplished. But it makes me wonder, what else have you lied to me about?"
"I had my reasons."
"I'm sure you did. Your other mission, the one besides trying to break up my mates and I, did that really come from the top? Or did you just say that so you could try to figure out the weaknesses of an entire race?"
"It really did come from the top, Yugi." she said in earnest.
"I'm having a hard time believing you. It really does seem like something you would do on your own, Sakura."
"Yugi!"
"I'm sure he already knows it, after all he follows you around like a lost puppy doesn't he? Hell, he probably knows more about you than I do. Which is sad, considering we're blood."
"Yugi, please, just let me explain."
"No, I'm done listening to your lies and excuses. These are my mates, and this is my life. Do you get that, Sakura? My mates, my life! It is time you stopped interfering with that. Get out! Get out and don't ever come back. I don't want to see you here ever again. You may attend the Ball, but stay the hell away from me. As for Mahad, you can deal with him on your own, because I'm not helping you anymore. Mahad, have at her! She's worthless to me." Yugi said motioning at the closet behind him. He didn't dare look at his mates, his eyes were only on his sister's tear stained face. Strangely though, he didn't feel an ounce of remorse for making her cry.
By lying to him, about who knew what else, she had dried out his remorse for her like rain in the desert. He walked briskly past her, pulling his arm out of her grip as she fumbled with his sleeve trying to grovel and explain why she had done what she had done, but he was beyond listening. He just didn't want anything to do with her anymore. She was a snake in his life, and he was finally killing the whispering in his ear. He left her crying on the floor, maybe Mahad would comfort her, but he was the only one. Yugi was done with her.
