WHACK!
"WHOAAAAA!" Astro got hit by another long arm, doing multiple impressive front flips before smashing into yet another building. To lighten the mood, I must say the sunrise was shining beautifully over the destruction of Metro City.
"ASTRO! Don't worry brother! I can help- AHH!" the BlackBott swiped across the ground, picking up dust and slabs of concrete. Zoran started running from the wave of debris, her legs just a blur. As another BlackBott arm gently rested to the ground, and she saw her chance. She leapt up onto the moving parts that made up the monstrous leg. Black looked to his red info panel on the dash board. A warning was flashing that a disturbance was on the BlackBott. "Whaa?" he reared the machine to glance to the small girl robot racing up to his chair. "AH!" he fastened his grip on the control leavers and lifted arm number five to flick the nuisance off. But Zoran just jumped onto the claw as it came powering down. It smashed into its other arm. Black scowled and lifted yet another leg. Zoran repeated the sequence, the leg pulling down to smash into the pavement. Soon the BlackBott's legs were all a twisted mess. Astro coughed and shakily got to his legs, around twenty meters from the fight. His eyes lit up as he saw the state the enemy was in. "Zoran!" he said in realization. He suddenly saw the small pink figure, falling as the BlackBott came rumbling down. "ZORAN!"
Zoran screamed and tried to grab onto anything, only succeeding in clutching thin air. With another frightened yelp, she felt the air around her rush by her sides and make her hair wobble. Her eyes widened and she kicked her legs as she fell, headed for the rock hard street. "AHHHHHH! I DONT WANNA DIE- Oomph!"
"Gotcha!" Astro smiled, holding the kicking sibling into a bridal position. Zoran looked to her brother, relief flooding through her body.
"Astro!" she smiled down to his boots, the loyal flames keeping them air bourn. She pointed to the BlackBott. "Look what I did!"
"Yes, I saw."
"I did it all by myself!"
"I know. Well done."
"Cos YOU were being lazy!"
"Zoran...I got thrown into a building."
"GAHHH!" the two flinched as they heard the groan of metal and shuffle of debris. Astro slowly spun around to see the killing robot slowly get to its feet. Their eyes widened as they saw Black in his chair. He didn't look crazy anymore...he look ANGRY. And I mean, like, BLOW UP ANGRY. The red force field activated and burst out of the top, creating a large red dome around the robot. Astro and Zoran so happened to be that tad bit in the way...
"AHHHHH!" the magnitude of the power shot them both through the next building, the BlackBott gaining strength.
"That's a pretty good plan." Zane praised. Zibby scratched her head.
"Ya but, like, who's gonna do it?" Tenma smiled at them all.
"You." They all exchanged glances... then their eyes widened.
"Wait..." Widget started.
"You mean..." Ember followed.
"Like..."
"All of us..." they all gulped.
"TOGETHER?" Tenma nodded. They all reeled back from each other, like there was a sudden disease that spread by touch.
"EWWW!"
"NO WAY!"
"Oh, com'on!" Z reasoned, placing her hands on her hips. "You're all human!"
"But!" Bruss whined. Z awaited his answer. He took a disgusted look to Zane. "They're scavengers..."
"Look Mr, you obviously think you're tough, yet you wont even deal with one simple plan. It's seriously just ONE HOUR together!"
"That's more then long enough!" Zibby cried. Tenma step forward, his face becoming scaringly stern.
"STOP WHINING!" he screamed. Silence sounded. He took a breath, looking at all of them. He shot his head to Cora and her friends. "Cora, guys, do you want Astro and Zoran to get destroyed today?" they all quickly shook their heads.
"No!" cried Widget. Tenma looked to Bruss and his friends.
"Would YOU want Astro and Zoran to get destroyed today?" they all shook their heads just as quickly, accept for Lisa, who was busy rubbing her nails. She darted her head up.
"What? Oh! Nah, that wouldn't be cool."
"So," Tenma concluded, "You all just have to think that in your head. This isn't about YOU. This is about Metro City, and all the people who are depending on us. Are we going to be children, or are we going to be heroes?"
"HEROES!"
"Good answer." They all took one more annoyed glance to each other, before looking to Tenma and Z.
"So, what are we waiting for?" Conner asked.
"LETS GO!" Sluch yelled, punching his fist in the air.
"Sluch, honey... you can't go." Z said.
"What?" his shoulders dropped. Z stepped forward.
"You and Widget have to come with us. It's too dangerous." Widget seemed glad at this, walking over straight away to the car. But Sluch how-ever was not as willing. He crossed his arms. "I wanna stay in on the action! You guys need me!"
"Look, man," Zane said, placing a hand on his shoulder, "You'll get to watch in first class, how about that?"
"I would rather be the one the people are watching..."
"Okay...the next time we go in Hamegg's car..." Zane took a breath. "You can drive..." Sluch's eyes lit up.
"COOL!" he raced over to Widget and jumped in the back with her. Cora straightened her shirt out.
"So, the Killer Virus is in your lab?" Tenma nodded.
"That's right. My flat is on the 30th floor."
"Oh geeze, anyone would think the greatest scientist would have a bad view..." Zane muttered.
"So, we're technically breaking into Astro's house?" Bruss smiled. "Cool..."
"No, I'm giving you permission," Tenma said.
"WHOAAAA!" they all jolted around to Astro and Zoran, landing painfully on the road beside them. A small rise of smoke was rising from the bodies. They gasped.
"ASTRO!" Z yelped. She started to run towards them, but Tenma pulled her back.
"NO Z!" he warned.
Astro and Zoran stirred, opening their eyes to not the most delightful sight. The BlackBott was slowly making its way over to them, its legs crunching on everything in its path.
"Astro! Zoran!" they looked to Zane, Cora, Ember and Conner. Astro smiled.
"Guys! And...Bruss?" Zibby giggled and waved.
"Hey Astro!"
"Oh God..."
SMASH!
The killing robot flung its arm into the building beside it.
"WHATS THA MATTA ASTRO? YOU SCARED OF LIL OLD ME?"
It was making its way closer and closer...
Astro quickly got to his feet, helping Zoran up.
"Zoran! We gotta lead that thing away from our friends!" Zoran flickered her eyelids. Her head spun with dizziness.
"Hmmmm?"
"Quick, Z! In the car!" Tenma urged, pushing his wife into the passenger seat. He looked to the group. "Be CAREFUL."
"Sure thing Sir!" Keel waved. In a brush back of garbage and dust the car lifted from the ground and zoomed across the top of the buildings, Sluch and Widget eagerly pressing their noses up to the window.
"Zoran! Get your game together! Now is NOT the time for a nap!" Astro shook his sister's shoulders as he yelled to her. Zoran eyes remained half closed, her head falling to the side. Astro gritted his teeth.
"AWWW, IS IT YOUR LITTE SISSY'S BEDTIME?" Black laughed. The small robot frowned.
"Astro," called Cora lightly. He glanced to her, glad to hear her voice. "We have a plan to retrieve a Killer Virus your Dad had in his lab. We need you to keep the BlackBott away from your house and we'll be there in no time to help."
Astro just frowned.
"M-my Dad has a K-Killing Virus in his lab?"
SMASH!
"COME HERE YOU LITTLE..." Astro quickly picked Zoran up and flew over the BlackBott, avoiding his many attempts to catch him. Twirling and flipping, over and under he weaved, still keeping a firm grip on Zoran (I imagined this if it were a movie, that the camera would be what Astro sees and it would be spinning and dodging as these huge arms grabbed for ya. Yeah, this is gonna be epic).
Cora looked to the group, leaning up against the wall. Seeing the BlackBott turn and take chase, she motioned for them to follow. "This way..."
"Why should we listen to you?" Stacy agued.
"Oh, I'm sorry Stacy. Do you have stealth skills? Have you ever had to escape malfunctioned killer robots with one screw driver as a weapon?" she just gave her a blank look. Cora nodded. "Precisely..."
They all quickly scampered around the building, headed for Tenma's penthouse.
Miss Harris was done marking papers for the weekend. She had gotten up at a very early 5:30am, and had been marking for a solid hour. She stretched her arms up, expressing a loud groan. "God these kids make so much work for me..." she shuffled the pile of work until it was straight, yawning a bit.
Meanwhile, outside the school, was Orrin. He was frantically searching for Master Astro. He hadn't returned from his outing yesterday, and it was his duty to search for him until he was safe at home once again. He fidgeted with his smooth clunky fingers. "Oh dear! What would Master Tenma think?" his eyes widened and he held his head. "What if he's got into trouble? What if he's hurt? Ohhh, I would never forgive my self!" He made his way up the school stairs. "Maybe he went back to the school grounds? Hmm, perhaps the principal would no something about his whereabouts..." he slowly entered through the doors, first off hitting his head on the wrong one.
Miss Harris got to her feet. With a deep breath she walked over to the door. She grasped the handle and pulled it open, to come face to face to...a robot.
Orrin looked relived. "Oh! Miss Harris! I've come to ask-"
"Out of my face, robot." She said with out a blink, walking out to the corridor. Orrin followed, staying out of her vision as she had asked.
"Miss, I can't find my Master." Miss Harris stopped. If it was a missing child in her school, it was her annoying duty to help as much as possible. She sighed and faced the desperate house bot. "FINE. Who is it?"
"Astro."
She immediately spun on her heels and headed to leave the building again.
"Miss!" Orrin cried. "He went to drop off his sister yesterday afternoon, and he still hasn't come back!" Harris didn't flinch. "I couldn't stand for him to get hurt, or KILLED, or fever," he started to go into the thoughts that troubled him for Toby's safety. "Or perhaps mugged! Or bullied!" Miss Harris shook her head, annoyed. But her eyes widened as she saw what was headed for them from the glass windows...
The BlackBott. It was pounding its way down the road, headed straight for the school...
"EEK!" Miss Harris scampered back into her office. Orrin frowned at her, before looking up to the monster headed for them. As Astro swiftly turned around the corner, the BlackBott kept on his trail, skidding and slamming into the side of the high school. The magnitude knocked Orrin off his wheels and shook he school aggressively. Just as the front wall started to cave in, the frightened robot got to his feet and scampered into the office.
SLAM!
SMASH!
The wall crashed down on the many lockers got bent and crushed. A wave of dust caved in on the office, and the back wall came crumbling down. Miss Harris covered her head for protection, and Orrin just hid in the corner. Soon, it was all over, and the BlackBott was back in pursuit. Miss Harris coughed from the dust, looking around the destroyed office. A mountain of debris was at the far end from the wall crashing down. The slabs of school blocked the door and most of the exit points. Her eyes widened and she ran over to where the door should be. There was no way out. "No!" she started to pound her fists on the cement. "Let me out! LET ME OUT!" Orrin quietly rolled over, eyes wide and scared.
"Um, I don't think that's going to help, Miss..." Miss Harris' mouth dropped open.
"NO..." she turned to see the house bot. She threw her hands up. "GREAT! TRAPPED IN HERE WITH A ROBOT!" she screeched.
Astro picked up speed, the fastest he's ever been.
"Hmmm..." Zoran was still barely conscious, her hair softly wobbling as the wall of wind hit them. The BlackBott had lost them a few minuets before, looking around the different buildings. Astro landed softly upon a skyscraper, laying Zoran down. "Zoran! Wake up, please!" he cried, kneeling down to her. Suddenly...they were covered in a red light. Astro's eyes widened. He slowly turned his head to the huge BlackBott eye. His eyes widened and his brows creased, in a look of plead. "Oh no..."
"THIS...IS THE END..." Black grinned. He could be so dramatic at times. Two arms reached up, red electricity clicking on the claws. Astro's breathing quickened. He looked down to his sister. He could take off right now, but he couldn't leave Zoran. No way. And if she was going, he was going to be there by her side. He took a long breath, gulped, and then looked to the BlackBott. Black laughed and charged the energy. Astro heard the deafening hum, and grabbed Zoran and pulled her close.
ZAPP!
"AHHHHHHH!"
