Miss Harris was going crazy. She couldn't be trapped in a small room with just a robot! She couldn't be! She banged her head on her desk, scrunching up her hair. Orrin was clueless on what to make of the behavior. He wasn't exactly not used to stressed out humans, but never to un-familiar ones. He inched forward.
"Umm, Miss? I suggest you don't hurt your forehead on that desk..." Miss Harris gave him a glare and stood up, walking around the room.
"There has to be SOME way out!" Orrin followed her, keeping his distance. "A window? Another door? ANYTHING?" the robot took a glance around.
"No, I don't think so..."
"Oh, you're a robot! Can't YOU find an opening or something?" Orrin stopped in his tracks as Harris began to pace in tight circles.
"Well, you're a teacher. You must be very intelligent." Miss Harris stopped for a brief second, slightly touched by the complement. But hastily continued.
"Could you smash through the wall?" Orrin was taken back by the order.
"Um, you don't know very much about house bots, do you?" Harris looked to him.
"Astro could do all that, he's a robot! Couldn't you?"
"Astro is a higher model than me. I'm not meant to be a strong robot, just a helpful one." He said, jittering his fingers nervously. Harris growled angrily.
"It would be very HELPFUL if you could do SOMETHING!"
"I can make coffee?"
"URG!" Miss Harris punched the wall.
Zoran on back, Astro served over towards the BlackBott, still smashed down on the pavement. "Are you sure we can beat this guy?" Zoran yelled over the wind into Astro's ear. Astro couldn't help the smile that snaked onto his lips.
"Nope." He said, gaining speed. Zoran sighed.
"Oh, that's good cous- wait WHAT?" with a laugh Astro silently transformed his arm into his arm cannon. Zoran looked down to it.
"You know I still deserve arm cannons..." she grumbled.
"Do we have to discuss this now- AHH!" a giant BlackBott arm swung up as they passed, nearly hitting them both out of the air as it grabbed for a near by skyscraper to help it to its feet. Astro made his way to attack, when he heard something:
"HELP! I'M GONNA FA- AHHH!" it was the cry of a little girl. Astro's eyes widened as he looked to the building. Above the wedged in claw was a tiny girl at the window, about to fall backwards. With a swift turn he changed directions. "Hey! Where're you going?" Zoran asked, stunned. Astro didn't respond, gritting his teeth as he boosted upwards to the falling girl.
A teenage boy's eyes enlarged in horror as he saw his little red-headed sister wobble on the windows edge as the building jolted. He ran to her, reaching for her hand. "NO! Jaime!"
Reach.
Grasp.
Jamie was safe in the boys hand. She looked up to the brown hair covered in a black cap and freckled face to her brother. She sighed. "Thank you Kal!" but both their smiles slipped when the building shifted again, and they both went falling over the edge...
"AHHHH- Oomph!" the two citizens gasped as they were caught by something. No, someone. Astro held the boy under the arms while Zoran was hit on the head by the falling Jamie. "Hey! Watch it!" she snapped. Kal and Jamie gasped as they looked around. They were...flying? Kal looked up to see the recognizable two spikes and brown eyes. He smiled. "Hey! You're that Astro kid, right?" Astro's eyes widened as he glanced straight ahead.
"Yep, and you better hold on..."
"What? Why?" he soon found the answer. Ahead of them was the giant monster, every mechanical arm swaying at them as it made its way up to its feet. "WHOOAA!"
"WATCH OUT!" Astro boosted up for a few seconds, hovering to look where he was going to fly next, then zoomed down. While Kal was screaming his head off, Jamie was lapping up every second, laughing her head off.
"THIS IS SOOO FUN!" Zoran giggled.
"I know right?"" flipping under an arm, Astro landed on the pavement and stood up straight, causing Zoran to fall off along with Jamie. He carefully placed a shaking Kal down.
"Is it over?" he quivered.
"Not yet. Look, I need you to find a safe place while the BlackBott is- ACK!" in the middle of his instructions, Black surged his claws up and knocked into Astro's side, causing him to fly back and smash against a building. Kal grabbed Jamie and tugged her down the street to an ally way She gleefully waved to Zoran. "Bye-bye!" she called, and Zoran waved back.
"See ya!"
"COME HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Black trudged forward, finally getting the killing robot to gain balance. Zoran took a breath and opened her mouth, letting the sonic sound waves to irrupt from her throat. But they only rippled and disappeared on the machine's force field. Zoran's lip quivered. "A-Astro?"
They were all driving each other crazy. The two Blondies had picked to go first, then Zane and Bruss, then Cora and Zibby, and at last Conner and Ember. So, there they all were, squished up together halfway up the air vent, moving one joined step at a time. "My mascara...is ruined..." moaned Stacy.
"Omg, like, I know right?"
"Could you guys shut up about your stupid makeup!" Zane yelled, his voice echoing through the tunnel.
"Stop squishing me!"
"Right, cos I'M the one squishing YOU!"
"Yeah, precisely!"
"Oh my god, how much ROOM do you need?"
"Fighting not helping anyone!"
"Shut up, no-one likes you Conner!"
It went on, an on and on...
Until Stacy finally felt her foot slip on a new tunnel and both hit their heads on the roof. Climbing done.
"H-hey! I think we're like, there!" Lisa called down.
"Finally!" Bruss sighed.
"Okay, now carefully get on your hands and knees and climb into the tunnel, and then help Lisa up with you!" Cora instructed. Lisa looked up, and found a small blue handle. Gripping it, the two girl's backs lost their pressure, causing Stacy to slip a bit. She screamed as she fell on top of Zane. "Oww! Hey, be more careful, would ya?" the Blondie grunted a bit as she pulled herself up into the new tunnel, blushing.
"Sorry..." she mumbled. Helping each person inside, soon they were all crawling along, Conner at the back, tapping on his map. Zibby blew some hair out of he face.
"So, will Astro still be going to school?" she asked. Cora scowled from in front of her.
"Why would you ask that?"
"Oh please Cora. I think you would figure it out..." Ember called from down the line. Bruss and Zane looked to each other and rolled their eyes. The one thing they both agreed on was the ridiculousness of girls, and their taste for super heroes. "I'm just asking..." she mumbled.
"You know, Astro doesn't even like you."
"Ooo, look who's jealous."
"What? I am anything BUT jealous!"
"GUYS!" Zane yelled. The girls grew silent. "Astro is out there fighting for his life and all you can discuss is his romance life? I suggest you GET a life!" Bruss snickered. Zibby scowled.
"It's just being concerned!"
"Yeah, of who he's going to date!" Bruss laughed.
"I seriously don't see the point of dating a robot..." Lisa said blandly.
"Hey!" Cora snapped. "He's more then just a robot, for your information!"
"I've hit a split in the tunnel!" Stacy announced. Conner glanced to his map.
"Umm, okay take the left one." With a nod, they all made their way along. "Oh! And watch out for that little gap in the-"
"WHOOAAA!" as Stacy's knee hit the opening in the vent, she fell right through it. Luckily she grabbed onto Lisa...who fell and grabbed onto Zane...who grabbed onto Bruss, who grabbed Cora, who grabbed Zibby, who then grabbed Ember and at last Ember grabbed Conner, who slid along the vent and grabbed hold of the end before he could plummet down with everyone. There they all dangled, just like a string of people, twisting above a massive hole in the floor which led way down to the lounge area of the motel. Zibby screeched as she took a glance to the drop, gripping tighter to Ember. Stacy had gone white from the sudden fall, and Conner was struggling to keep them all up. As for Zane, who can always make the moment...
"Well...this is awkward..."
