"Well, were back home at least" Ash said, jumping off Oak's shoulder into the lab's yard
"Yeah" Bolt said before wincing "Ow... My arm" he looked at Ash , who was staring at the ground, looking guilty
"I'm sorry Bolt" he said, not taking his gaze off the ground
"I'm fine Ash" Bolt said, wincing a little with each word "Don't worry about it" he put on the smile he had at the end of every gym battle, trying to convinse his friend he was fine
"Ash, you okay?" Gary asked, tapping the pikachu's shoulder
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine Gary..." Ash said, sounding unsure of himself
"Well, you three better head back to Ash's house. I'll take care of Pikachu's injuries" Oak said, without waitng for an answer, went inside the lab, Ashchu and Gary turned and started walking away, but Ash stayed put
"Ash? What's wrong big bro?" Ashchu asked
"What?" Ash asked, as if wasn't paying attention "N-nothing, stick with Gary, Ok? I'll meet you at home" Ashchu was about to say something when he saw his brother's face. His eyes were slightly red, and dispite the fake smile he knew when his brother was worried sick about Bolt, he nodded and took off after Gary
"Wow, I'm shocked Ash" Nubtup said "I thought you were gonna follow him anywhere"
"I trust Gary to look after him" Ash said
"Let me guess, you wanna help Bolt?" Nubtup said, Ash nodded
"It's my fault he got hurt, I'll help him get back up on his feet" he said
"Don't you mean paws?" Nubtup said, Ash giggled a little at the joke "Calm down Ash, Bolt will be fine. You don't have to feel guilty"
"I know" Ash said, walking to the open door of the lab "But I still wanna help"
Lewis stood in front of the large stone door, talking with the creature behing it
"We'll start the next ritual soon my lord"
"Good. But we need the aura of a Ketchum to open the door, how is the capture progressing?"
"I-I'm afraid that we have been unnable to capture him. Etheir his friends come to his aid or he defeats us when tried to set a trap for him" Lewis said nervously
"Hmm, interesting. Begin the ritual, I belive I'll be strong enough to aid in his capture afterwards"
"As you command my lord" Lewis said, bowing "Bring him in!" the mettalic doors behind him opened to three people, two carrying cage with a Nuzleaf, the other one carrying the book that he and Doug got out of Pokemon Tower
"Nuz leaf nuz! (Let me go!)" the Nuzleaf screamed
"Administer the tranquilazer" Lewis said, one of the two men nodded and pressed a button on the side of the cage, realising a green smoke, the pokemon held it's breath as long as he could but eventualy broke and as soon as he took it in, the Nuzleaf looked very relaxed
"Nuuuz" he said, getting a little cross-eyed
"Good, now pass me the book" Lewis said, the female grunt nodded and handed him the black book and walked out of the room with her colleuages, Lewis smiled and picked up the Nuzleaf "Now, we get to the fun part" he set the small pokemon in front of the door and opened the book and started reading
"Nuzleaf" the pokemon moaned as he started to go back to his senses
"Nmaklin Sentaihk powemnksd Poxkimn ri nku misndf nimfddd!" Lewis chanted, resiting the paragraph perfectly "Nluh eifhd oiuj lain xen hgie Gmojn aifh sloujn odfjo plik, oh kan!" as soon as he said that last word, a bolt of blue energy flew out of the door and torwards the Nuzleaf
"NUZLEAF!" he screamed as the beam hit him, but he went quiet very quickly, his eyes getting red, until the beam broke. Then there was nothing more than a new shadow pokemon standing perfectly straight next to Lewis, who smirked and got out the special 'Shadow ball' and caught the Nuzleaf, and put the ball on the transisit system nearby
"Ahh thank you Lewis. Now I belive I have the strenght necesary to help you capture Ketchum's desendant"
"Thank you my lord" Lewis said, bowing his head
"There you go, Pikachu" Oak said, petting Bolt head, after giving him a good spray with a couple of Hyper Potions
"Thanks professor!" Bolt said in poketounge
"And thank you for the help Ash"
"Your welcome" Ash said in poketotunge, as he threw away the empty Hyper Potion bottles. He ran to Bolt and gave a hug "I'm soooo sorry"
"Don't worry about it Ash, I'm fine" Bolt said, giving him a friendly shove
"Still, I.. *YAWN!*" Ash said "Man, I'm sleepy"
"Hehe, come on, I don't think your mom will mind if we spend the night here" Bolt chuckled "Come on, I bet Oak has couple of beds he can spare" Ash nodded and followed Bolt to Oak, who told them they could sleep in Gary's old bed, the two pikachu climmed onto the bed and dozed off to sleep
"WAIT STOP!"
Ash opened his eyes and gasped, he was back in the woods he made inside his subconsious, expepct they were history, the trees were burned, there was smoke everywhere and his all his friends and his brother were laying on the ground, passed out cold
"Ashchu, Gary!" Ash yelled, running up to them "Come on! Wake up you guys!" before he could do anything else
"Get away from them, you monster!" he heard a familiar voice scream
"Huh?" Ash wondered, looking up to see Bolt dashing to him at full speed "Bolt wait!"
"Ash?" Bolt said, stopping dead in his tracks "No, no. It can't be you"
"What? What do you mean?" Ash asked, as Bolt turned to face him, a look of both anger and sadness in his face
"You did this. Why Ash?" Bolt asked his cheeks sparking
"What are you talking about?" Ash asked, slightly scared by his friend, slowly backing away
"You attacked them! I thought you were my friend Ash!" Bolt yelled in anger, shocking Ash
"Ahhhhhhh!" Ash screamed, both in the real world and in his dream. Back in the real world, Bolt woke up because of Ash's scream
"Ash?" he asked, turning to see his friend "What the...? Ash!" Ash looked hurt, almost like something had punched him in stomach "Professor!" he kept shaking Ash until the professor showed up
"What's wrong Pikachu?" he asked, rubbing his eyes
"Pika pi ka pi!" Bolt said, pointing at Ash
"What's wrong with-" Oak was cut short when Ash suddenly shocked himself with a thunderbolt "Oh my... Keep trying to wake him up, I'll go get my rubber gloves" Bolt nodded and kept shaking his friend, trying in vain to wake him up, back in his dream, Ash was getting his butt handed to him by the dream version of Bolt
"You heartless monster!" Dream-Bolt screamed, hitting Ash with a Iron Tail
"Oww, Bolt, I didn't do this!" Ash said, clutching his stomach in pain
"Yes you did!" Dream-Bolt yelled "Your sent is all around here. You attacked them!" Ash barley manged to doge the Quick Attack and tried to attack him with Brick Break, when he his own voice
"Go ahead, get him. He attacked first, so we'll finish it!" Ash shook his head, cancelled the attack and climed one of the burned down trees
"Get down here, you coward!" Dream-Bolt screamed, shooting off electricity at him full blast
"What was that, wait a minute." Ash said, remembering when he got possessed "A being of pure chaos..."
"Get down here!" Dream-Bolt screamed "You'll pay!"
"You." Ash said, staring at the blacked out sky "Your making this happen aren't you?"
"Very good, Ketchum. I knew you weren't a idiot like others thought you were"
"What are you and what do you want?!" Ash yelled into the sky
"What do I want? Simple, I'm a missing piece, and I want to return to this land"
"To destroy it!" Ash growled "Then why don't you just kill me? I stopped your friends more than once."
"If you are refering to Cipher, they are not my friends. They are my worshipers and are working to free me. The only point were they have failed is in your capture"
"Wait, you mean to tell me that Cipher is a cult?" Ash asked, ducking under one of Dream-Bolt's attacks
"No, they are not a cult. For a cult belives in something that may or may not exist. I am real, sealed behind rock inside their base"
"Some all-mighty force you are" Ash said under his breath
"I HEARD THAT! I AM SEALED HERE BECAUSE OF YOUR ANCESTOR!"
"Ahg" Ash groaned in pain, holding his head, he lost his balance and fell off the tree he was in and fell off
"Now I've got you" Dream-Bolt said, an Iron Tail ready, Ash looked at behind him and saw something like a face staring right back at him, smirking
"No you don't" Ash said, getting up, he started running. But before he was able to get far, he was stopped in midair
"You did not think I would let you escape so easly?"
"Your going to pay Ash, for attacking my friends" Dream-Bolt said
"Bolt listen, I didn't do it, that thing behind you did! It made it look like I did it!"
"SHUT UP!" Dream-Bolt screamed "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR LIES! YOU SAID YOU WERE OUR FRIEND, BUT THEN YOU GO AND ATTACK THEM AND TRY TO BLAME SOMETHING THAT DOSEN'T EVEN EXIST!" Dream-Bolt yelled in anger as he shocked Ash with enourmes force. In the real world, Oak had hooked Ash up to a machine
"What is this thing?" Bolt asked, looking at the contraption, witch looked like a bed attached to a large tank by a bunch of hoses with a bunch of computer monitors to it, becuase Bolt question was pretty obvious Oak explained
"This is a machine that allows me to see the dreams of pokemon"
"Really?" Bolt asked in poketounge, the professor nodded, pretty sure of what the pikachu was saying and turned the machine on and looked at the biggest monitor
"Okay, whatever Ash is dreaming should appear right around... now!" Oak said pointing at the screen where an image of Ash floating and being shocked was displayed "Oh my..."
"Ash!" Bolt yelled, as two lights appeared beside him "What the...?"
"Hello Bolt" the pink light said "You're looking very well"
"Xearneas?!" Bolt asked "Wait, then the other light is-"
"Yveltal" the red light finished "Leave dealing with this to us" as soon as Yveltal finished his thought, the two lights flew into Ash's head, flying deeper and deeper until they arrieved in the area of his subconsios that had been attacked, both of them nodded and took their normal forms, and found Ash, in the spot as before. Held up in the air, being shocked by a dream version of his best friend, after a silent nod to each other, the legendary pokemon landed in between Ash and Dream-Bolt
"Who the heck?!" Dream-Bolt screamed "Get out of my way, you multicolored weirdoes!" Yveltal simply shrugged at the comment, and opened his beak, his mouth glowing red
"Oblivion Wing!" he screamed as a bright red beam flew out of his mouth and blasted Dream-Bolt, causing him to dissapear "Now, quickly, before he returns" Xearneas nodded and flew straight into the sky, blasting apart the darkness, the woods dissapearing as a dark blob floated in front of the three pokemon
"Hello brother" Xearneas said, with a slight growl in her voice
"Sister, brother"
"Go, we all now your too weak to fight us" Yvetal threatend
"Your correct, but this is not the last you have heard of me. Esspesaly you, Ketchum!" Ash could feel himself waking up from the nightmare, opening his eyes to see Bolt standing over him
"Ash, your awake!" Bolt said happily, hugging Ash "Your okay!"
"Yeah, but I won't be if you hug me to death!" Ash said, being strangled a little by his friend's hug
"Oh, sorry" Bolt said, letting go of Ash "You have no idea how worried we were"
"I'm okay" Ash said "Remember when I went crazy when Team Rocket trapped you, Gary Nubtup and Ashchu?"
"Yeah, kinda hard to forget"
"The same thing did this"
