A/N: Goodness me, I forgot to mention the previous chapter was for JJuna on HoC who wanted Lancelot to overhear Arthur mistreating Merlin and come to his friend's defense, telling the prat about what Merlin has done for him :)

This one, however, is not from a prompt - though it was inspired by a tumblr post (message me if you'd like the link ^_~)
Just a hint of crack in this one :D

Guest: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying them so far :) Your requests have been added to the list!

"When will this end?" Arthur growled, the sound echoed by soft thunder above his head.

"It's difficult to say, Sire. Merlin's magic is unstable right now; it's growing at an unprecedented rate. I can't predict how long it will last or how great his power will become." The physician frowned at the storm cloud which was roiling threateningly only a few spans above and behind the royal's head.

"So you're saying he's going through magical puberty?"
The king managed to contain laughter, but his amusement was still plain.

A thin tendril of lightning darted from the cloud, turning blond hair into a frizzy mess. Gaius' face pinched as he suppressed his own amusement and Arthur scowled when he noticed the cause, though a wicked smirk soon took over.

"You're so moody, Merlin. Maybe you're going to actually become a girl."

The cloud puffed up as a semblance of Merlin's face formed, cheeks round and crackling with lighting.

Arthur lost it, holding his stomach as he guffawed.

The Merlin-cloud rumbled once more, hovering directly over the king before unleashing a torrent of rain on the monarch.

"Merlin!" He spluttered, already soaked completely through.

Another tongue of lightning streaked downward, scorching the ground an arm's length from the protesting man before the cloud darkened even further and floated off.

Gaius watched all this with the face of a weary parent, muttering to himself.

"Such a drama queen..."
