Micah had just finished applying her lip-gloss and spraying some perfume when her doorbell rang. She took one last look at herself and went to answer the door. As usual, her breath was taken away when she saw Roman. He was wearing a soft blue button up shirt with the top two buttons undone paired with black slacks and he had his hair tied up at the neck. She could smell his cologne and it was intoxicating. She finally stopped staring and let him inside and he placed a kiss on her lips as he did so. She noticed that he had something behind his back and made sure she didn't see it. Micah couldn't help but blush as Roman let his eyes roam up and down.

"Wow. Micah you look incredible."

"So do you. You look so handsome."

The smile he sent her was almost her undoing.

"So, I know you're not big on flowers much and I'm struggling with not going into trainer mode with this but I think you're gonna love it. Just be responsible," he instructed before laughing. He pulled out a bouquet of made of Reese's cups, Micah's favorite candy and her reaction honestly made it worth it. First, her contagious laugh followed by that beautiful smile that he loves so much.

"I love it, Roman. I promise I will eat these responsibly and will make sure you kick my ass when I have too many." She pressed her lips to his again and this time he pulled her body close to his and deepened the kiss. He pulled away first and let her go so she could put down her bouquet and grab her clutch.

"You ready?"

"Definitely."

Roman and Micah were sitting across from each other at what Micah was sure an overpriced Italian restaurant and she still couldn't believe how much of a gentleman he had been. She couldn't remember the last time a guy had opened the door for her and pulled out her chair. Actually, she shouldn't be surprised because he'd always been such a gentleman around her and it was one thing that she liked so much about him.

They fell into a comfortable and delightful conversation during dinner. Micah was sure the wine as well as the charm of the beautiful Samoan in front of her definitely played a huge role in calming her nerves. It wasn't even the fact that she was nervous around him because she wasn't; the term 'date' just freaked her out. Hell, she hadn't been on one in a few years but she loved that she could be herself around him.

"Micah, I can't tell you enough how phenomenal you look in that dress." In the back of his mind he wished he could take it off later but he knew it would be a while before they would get to that level with each othe

"I'm glad you like it," she confessed.

He could tell she was still not used to the compliments he was giving her and that was something else he was going to fix if he had his way.

"I mean it Micah," he honestly spoke, placing a kiss to the hand he was holding across the table.

She finally looked up at him as a small smile played on her lips. "I know."

Dinner went way better than expected. Micah couldn't believe she was so nervous to spend time with Roman. Again, she felt like she could talk to him about anything and it was such a good feeling. She couldn't remember the last time a guy had made her laugh like Roman did. He also would tell her how beautiful she was throughout the dinner. It's like he wanted it ingrained in her head.

After dinner Roman grabbed Micah's hand and lead her to a local jazz clubs that was a few doors down from where they had dinner. The club wasn't too crowded when they walked in and the dim lighting gave it such a fun feel. Micah hadn't been somewhere like this in ages and she was glad Roman brought her. The two made their way to a table in the back and got comfortable. He automatically wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer to him as they sat and enjoyed the music.

Micah was just enjoying everything about the club at the moment; the music, watching the couples dance. But enjoying all this with Roman, who still had his arm around her, made it perfect. The band started playing some slower music and he turned to her and asked her if she wanted to dance. She remembered a time she wouldn't have hesitated but after everything with her ex, dancing was something that she loved but gave up besides when she was with Nicole. But Roman wasn't Scott and she needed to stop let him having a hold on her. She nodded her head and took his hand as they made their way to the floor. It felt so good to dance in any capacity and doing it with Roman made it that much more special. Something so normal like dancing made her feel like her old self a bit. She let a small laugh escape her when he unexpectedly dipped her, placing a kiss on her forehead when he lifted her back up. Roman then placed a soft kiss to her lips and loved the sight of happiness that was on Micah's face.

"You're the most beautiful woman in here, you know that?" he asked in her ear as their bodies still swayed to the music.

"No I didn't but thank you. You definitely make me feel that way," she answered honestly.

Roman just looked into her eyes, finding himself getting lost in them. " I'm glad I make you feel that way because you are." He was falling hard for Micah already and he wasn't even going to fight it.

Roman held Micah's hand as he walked her back to her apartment door. Honestly, they were both bummed the night was over but neither could deny how amazing it was.

"I had an amazing time with you tonight, Roman," Micah confessed. "Thank you so much."

"Not problem. I had an amazing time too." He pulled her in for a hug and placed a kiss on her forehead, "I'll see you Sunday. I believe I have a dinner to make for you."

She smirked, "I believe you do. I can't wait."

"Goodnight, Micah," he said before placing a chaste kiss on her lips.

"Goodnight, Roman."

True to her word, Nicole arrived the next morning with coffee in hand; ready to hear all about her date with Roman.

The two sat in Micah's living room enjoying their coffee and Nicole couldn't get over how happy her friend looked.

"You've had that same smile plastered on your face since I got here so I'm assuming you had a blast last night."

"I did. Roman is so amazing, Nicole."

"Yes he is. I also noticed that interesting bouquet over there when I walked in. Now I know why he asked what your favorite candy was. I'm glad you had a good time. Where did he take you?"

Micah chuckled a bit, "I was wondering how he figured that out. He took me to RPM. It was so good and then he took me to a jazz bar down the street from the restaurant afterwards."

"RPM is really nice."

"It really was. Oh my goodness. And the jazz bar afterwards was a fun touch. We danced together and we know how long it's been since I've done that. I hesitated a bit when he asked me to but I just couldn't let Scott have control over me anymore."

Nicole placed her coffee down and leapt at her friend. She couldn't be happier to hear those words come from Micah.

"Ahh! I'm so happy to hear you say that. I know it's going to take a long time for you to get to that level but just hearing you say that makes me so incredibly happy." She couldn't help but hug Micah again.

"You're right about it taking a while but I just want to be happy. I can see me being happy with Roman," she confessed to her friend, smiling at the mention of his name.

Nicole let a smile grace her lips as well. She wasn't sure if Micah would get here and it made her happy to see her friend wanting to be happy again.

"Is your boyfriend giving Roman hell this morning?"

Nicole laughed at the question. "You know it. Probably asking if he got in your pants or not."

Micah playfully rolled her eyes. "Ambrose always has to ask the tough questions."

The girls both laughed and continued drinking their coffee and discussing Micah's date.

Roman had just grabbed his mug of coffee and plate of pancakes before sitting at the breakfast bar when Dean walked into the kitchen. Dean made himself a cup of coffee before turning his attention to his roommate. At first he had shit-eating grin on his face before Roman finally asked him what his deal was and why he was staring at him like a lunatic.

"Are you just gonna keep looking at me or do you have something to say?"

"I was just gonna stare because you're so pretty, Fabio. But in all honesty, how was your date last night?"

A smile tugged on his lips at the thought of last night. "It was great, man. She's an amazing girl."

"That she is. Nicole sent me a text not too long ago saying she hadn't seen her this happy in a long time."

"I'm glad she's happy. I know this isn't gonna be an easy journey, you know? But I'm glad she's giving me a chance to make her happy."

"You're right. It won't be easy but it doesn't matter how slow the steps are at least she's making them. " Dean took another sip of coffee before he spoke up again. "I have a serious question to ask you."

"Alright, Ambrose. Shoot."

"You didn't put out last night, right? Don't need you acting like a whore on the first date," he stated before smirking at his friend.

Roman glared at his roommate for a moment before losing the battle to laugh. "No I didn't, asshole."

"Good. Don't need Micah telling me that my roommate's a whore."

"Just because I have muscles and all this pretty hair doesn't mean I'm a slut. And stop with the name-calling, it hurts my feelings," he said as he playfully held his hand over his heart.

"Roman 'The Sensitive Samoan' Reigns."

"Fuck off, Ambrose."

"Such language. Did you kiss Micah with that mouth?"

"You're damn right I did," he said as he placed his plate and cup in the sink.

When Roman passed Dean on the way out to the living room he playfully shoved him into the counter.

"That's for calling me a slut."

A/N: They finally had their date! I hope y'all enjoyed the chapter.
