~Amber

It'd been about two weeks since Micah had seen or spoken to Roman. She hadn't been training with him and if she saw Nicole and Dean it was when they came over to her place or somewhere Roman wasn't present. She'd missed him terribly and would be lying if she said otherwise but she just couldn't bring herself to talk to him. She slept in one of his shirts that he'd left at her place every night because it smelled like him. She decided she needed to do something to get her mind off of Roman.

Micah had downed her third beer as she sat in a booth in the very back of a local bar and watched whatever was on TV. She was so consumed with her thoughts that she hadn't noticed that someone had sat down across from her in the booth until she heard a familiar voice.

"Why so sad? Did that boyfriend of yours finally realize that your fat ass is a waste of time?"

Micah looked and saw Scott sitting across from her. It seemed like she just couldn't break as of late. She sent him a death glare because she literally was not in the mood for his bullshit.

"Don't you have something better to do besides worrying about your ex-girlfriend's life?"

"Don't get so defensive. I just want to know if you ran off another guy. No one wants a girl with all that extra cush - -"

Micah leaned over and slapped the shit out of Scott. She wanted to murder him at that moment and wouldn't feel bad about it. " This is what you're gonna do. You're gonna get the fuck up from this booth and leave me the hell alone or I will hit you with this beer bottle. Now get the fuck out of my face!"

He sat there for a moment and looked at her as she grabbed the bottle and the look she had in her eyes he knew she would really hit him with it. Scott shook his head and finally left her alone. After that encounter she definitely needed another drink.

Nicole was laughing at something Dean had said when she got a text message from Micah. Dean and Roman noticed the change in her expression and asked what was going on.

"It's Micah. She's had a little too much to drink and she had a run in with Scott."

Roman and Dean both groaned at the mention of Scott. Roman wanted to go get her and also beat the shit out of Scott because he apparently had to learn things the hard way. But he didn't even know if Micah wanted to see him.

"Do you need us to go with you?" Dean asked.

"I don't think that will be necessary. She threatened to hit Scott over the head with a beer bottle if he didn't leave her alone. But I think she just doesn't want to be alone right now."

"She would threatened to hit someone over the head with a bottle," Roman mumbled, smirking slightly at the thought. God he missed her so much. He wanted nothing more than to go down there but he knew he couldn't.

Nicole grabbed her keys and headed out the door hoping Micah wasn't completely hammered.

Nicole immediately spotted Micah in the back of the bar and made a beeline towards her.

"How drunk are you lady?"

Micah laughed slightly at her friend. "I'm not drunk but I don't feel comfortable driving though. I also didn't want to be alone after that whole Scott encounter.

"You want to come to my place? We can talk all about it and spend some much needed quality time together."

"I'd like that. Let's get out of here."

"God he's such an asshole," Nicole exclaimed when Micah told her what happened with Scott.

"You're telling me. He's the last person I wanted to see tonight or any night for that matter."

The two continued to talk until Dean let himself in. "The party has arrived," he said jokingly. He jumped in between the two girls on the couch and wrapped his arms around both of them.

"How are my favorite girls?"

Micah grimaced when Dean put her in a headlock. "Let go, idiot." She punched him in his side to make sure he let go of her.

Nicole laughed at Dean and Micah, "we're alright, babe."

"You sure? This one isn't too drunk is she?"

"Shut up Dean. I'm not drunk. What are you doing here anyway?"

"Yeah what are you doing?" Nicole asked

"Roman went to sleep on me so I came over here."

Micah frowned at the mention of Roman's name. As much as she missed him she wasn't ready to face him. She couldn't get over the fact that he yelled at her the way he did. She knew she was the reason of his frustration but it didn't make it hurt any less.

"When are you two gonna talk?"

"Always right to the point aren't you Ambrose?" Micah sarcastically replied.

"You know me too well. But seriously, you're both miserable so why not talk to him?"

"I'm just not ready, okay? I miss him something terrible but he hurt me. Also, how do I know he wants to see me? I don't want to be the constant source of his frustration."

Nicole moved over to the other side of her friend and pulled her into a hug. "We've already talked to him. He knows he reacted in a shitty way and he feels bad about it but he does love you. He just hates that you're still not completely honest and upfront with him about things. He wants to be there for you no matter what, love."

Micah sat there and let everything Nicole just said register with her.

"I just need more time," Micah replied honestly. She didn't know how much time but she needed some. She needed to think about everything and figure out what's keeping her from being honest about everything with Roman; no matter how small she thought the issue was.

A month later, Micah and Roman still hadn't talked everything out. He would text her and she would respond very vaguely if she did respond. She just needed to work on herself and she couldn't bring herself to face Roman just yet. It broke her heart in the process but she was doing what she felt like she needed to do.

Roman on the other hand was losing his patience. He felt like she was just avoiding him and that hurt. Nicole said that Micah was just trying to work on herself and figure out what was keeping her from being completely open with him. As much as he was glad she was working on herself, he hated that she was leaving him out in the cold.

He was sitting on his couch barely paying attention to what was on when he decided he was going to go see Micah no matter if she was ready or not. He couldn't take it any longer and he wouldn't. He called the one person he knew would know where she was at the moment.

"Hey Roman, how are you?" Nicole asked cheerfully.

"I'm alright. I called you because I know you're the only person who can tell me where Micah is. I can't put this off anymore and I need to see her no matter how much she's trying to avoid me."

"I actually totally agree with you on that. She's quite stubborn as we all know but you two need to talk."

"I'm glad you agree with me on this. Wasn't sure how you were gonna be since she's your best friend. Where is she?"

"She's at Lorrie's studio down on Canal. She's been going there as an escape; just like she used to."

"Thanks Nic. I really appreciate it."

"No problem Romie," giggling when she heard him growl at the nickname Dean and herself had given him.

"Way to kill a moment. Ambrose is rubbing off on you I see. Thanks."

"You're welcome. Go get your girl."

"That's the plan. Later."

After he hung up the phone, he grabbed his wallet and keys and left. He was prepared to do whatever it took to get the woman he loved back in his life.

Roman walked down the hallway in search for Micah, smiling softly when he found her. He watched her as she danced to their favorite song 'All of Me' by John Legend. He couldn't help but smile as he watched her dance. Nicole had always told him how good she was but he was finally seeing it himself and it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. He noticed how peaceful she looked; she was completely in her element.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Even when you're crying you're beautiful too…"

Roman chuckled to himself after hearing that verse; thinking of all the times he's sung that line to her. He continued to watch as she danced and decided that he couldn't make his presence known just quite yet. When she finished her dance he watched as she grabbed her bottle of water and took a swig before she started to dance again. He recognized the song immediately hoped it was a sign.

"I am ready for love; all of the joy and the pain. And all the time that it takes, just to stay in your good grace. Lately I've been thinking maybe you're not ready for me. Maybe you think I need to learn maturity. They say watch what you ask for cause you might receive. But if you ask me tomorrow, I'll say the same thing… "

He watched on at the beautiful sight in front of him. He would never understand how Scott thought this was stupid because seeing Micah dance was one of the most beautiful things he'd laid eyes on. He was truly captivated by her and hated that someone made her feel like she had to stop doing she was obviously born to do.

"Tell me what is enough to prove that I am ready for love."

When the song ended, Micah walked over to turn the music off; gasping when she turned around and saw the one man she'd been avoiding for months.

"Are you really ready for love, Micah? Are you ready to let me love you?"

A/N Well, she can't avoid him forever can she?

Songs used where 'All of Me' by John Legend and 'Ready for Love' by India Arie.
