Sorry this update took so long to come out; I've had a lot going on the past week or so with my personal life and really didn't want it to effect my writing so I chose not to write... however I have been writing all day and this is the next chapter, the next 2-3 should be out before the end of the week, as well as the grounder story i have going. Again guys I am so sorry for the delay.

"Rayne! Rayne!" I heard Bellamy calling my name causing me to turn around from the gate looking over at him as he stood there behind me watching me intently as if I wasn't even here at all. Like he was just remembering me being here at some point in time.

"Yea?" I asked as I jumped down from the gates edge and headed towards him.

"Don't run off like that please… I mean like you said if this is our last night together… I don't want to spend it away from you." He said as he cupped my face in his hands.

I smirked at him moving away as I playfully punched his arm. "Bellamy Blake, since when were you such a suck."

His stare never softened like it would normally do when I would playfully tease him; he seemed to keep his eyes steady onto my eyes not blinking once. "I became a suck, the moment I first laid eyes on you Ray…"

"I was just trying to make light…" I said my voice growing soft realizing I may have offended him. "I just can't really stand seeing you so unhappy."

"Hey." He said putting his fist under my chin lifting my head up to look at him. "I love you all right?" he asked me before putting his hand down away from my face taking my hand into his.

"Come on, let's start getting everyone ready for tonight." He said smiling at me.

"Bellamy!" One of the gunmen yelled from behind him, Bellamy turning his head around to look at where the voice was coming from. Once his head cam back towards me I let go of his hand and told him I would go look for Octavia while he dealt with the gunmen and the rest of the group.

Standing there alone I watched as he walked away from me, once he was out of my sight I began to make my way towards Octavia's tent. There was a high chance she was in there trying to sharpen Lincoln's sword for the battle tonight. Why she thought a sword would be any bit useful against these people was way beyond me however. This was Octavia; she always had her ways of surprising me.

I moved away a piece of the tarp and entered her tent slowly as I watched the young Blake girl sit there sharpening the blade she was holding tightly in her hands. "Hey." She said softly realizing I was standing behind her.

"I really am sorry about Lincoln." I told her softly as I sat down next to her on the bed.

"You have no reason to apologize Lincoln saved you guys, again. I just wish I had gotten to see him at least one more time before… tonight." She said mumbling the last bit.

"Who knows O' maybe he's still alive, found a way to out run the reapers, found a way back to his cave, maybe he's plotting a way to get to you." I began to ramble to her.

She placed her hand on my leg; I looked over to her as she held a beaming smile on her face. "I gonna miss this Ray…" she said as her smile began to fade from her lips.

"Miss us just sitting around the forest, or our tents, just talking… acting like we could be sisters… I miss Atom, I miss Monty, and I miss the days when we first got here… when everything was good." She began to explain to me.

"I miss Charlotte, Wells, Mbege, Roma, and Atom… I miss the days when Clarke and I could tell each other everything… before my jealousy. I miss us not having to wonder if we'll be alive when we wake up… I miss my dad…" I said scoffing at the last bit.

Did I actually miss a man I didn't even know was my father this whole time? I mean sure Kane was a pain to almost every child down here just like Jaha. However hearing him, seeing him on the com knowing that was my father just seemed to make the entire situation of losing him that much worse. Bellamy and Octavia didn't have anyone but each other and now Clarke, Finn, Raven and I. Clarke was just like me, only had one parent left… Clarke… god…

I was so cruel to her for weeks, without even so much as a regard to how she felt, or anything. No amount of apologizing ever made me feel better either. No matter how many times she would smile at me and say she was over it, I just still felt so rotten about the whole thing.

Kane's Point of View

"Hydra station Good to go."

"Mecha station, Good to go."

"Orchid station, Good to go."

"Flint station, Good to go."

"Aero station, Good to go."

"Chancellor Jaha, all stations are prepared for launch."

"In peace… may you leave this shore. In love… may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels, until our final journey to the ground… May we meet again." Jaha's voice flooded the radio air space.

"May we meet again." Everyone around me said in unison. We were finally going to attempt landing on the ground, have that five percent chance of seeing our children again, chance at life, chance to be on the ground where we belonged to be all these years.

"Sinclair." Jaha's voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Yes, Sir." Sinclair said as I looked over to the nervous man sitting across from Abby and myself.

"Take us home."

"Taking us home, Sir. Initiate Go-Sci separation." He began to say as I turned to face Abby who was already looking over at me grinning.

"We're going to see our girls soon Marcus." She said to me her voice soft and moments from breaking.

"Finally." I told her not allowing myself to break down at the thought of seeing Rayne again. Seeing all of those kids again, even Bellamy. As much as I hated to admit it he was down they're keeping my little girl safe, and for that he had to be a decent man in my eyes.

I held the strap that was over my chest tightly to brace myself for the separation slowly turning my head to look over at Abby who was also holding onto a strap tightly, her eyes where clamped shut. Hoping for the best I would assume.

"Separate." I heard Sinclair say, only for no movement of any kind to happen after he said it. My eyes also shut just like Abby's hoping for that five percent chance we would make it to the ground.

Opening my eyes I quickly looked over at Abby who looked back at me her eyes questioning the situation as she slowly looked around the room. My eyes darted right towards Sinclair, what happened? Why didn't we separate from the main ship?

"Sir, remote detonations failed. We are negative for Go-Sci separation, negative for launch." Sinclair said.

"Can you fix it?" Jaha asked.

"Not from here, Sir, no." Sinclair said again his voice starting to fill with panic. "Someone will have to launch manually."

The words that flooded from Sinclair's mouth broke my heart; I instantly began to pull at the straps around me getting ready to get up without a second thought to save all the people of the Ark. I knew this meant never being able to see Rayne again, that this meant dying for the greater good.

I felt Abby's hand against my arm. She had a look of panic and fear written all over her face. "Wh- what are you doing?" She asked me as her voice began to become more firm.

"Someone has to stay behind, Abby." I told her.

She looked at me intently shaking her head; "What about Rayne? You can't just leave her alone down there."

I looked away for a moment, before returning my gaze to hers. "She wont be alone she'll have you, Clarke and Bellamy." I told her.

"She should have you there, there has to be another way." She said keeping her arm now firmly planted across me.

"I can go back and reprogram the system, but it'll take time." Sinclair said capturing my attention from Abby.

"We'll miss the window for the Eastern United States. We won't land anywhere near the hundred." Sinclair continued to say.

"Then we'll wait till it comes back around again." Abby said aggressively.

Sinclair shook his head; "The Ark will be out of air by then."

I looked over at Abby, who seemed like she was all out of sorts, "Salvation… comes at a price. Rayne deserves so much better than a man who refused to admit she was his child. Our people deserve better than a man who has such selfish motives." She attempted to stop me once again but I stood up preparing myself to get up and leave the area to save our people.

Abby quickly took my hand in hers, causing me to look down at her as she looked up at me the water taking over her lower eyelids. Letting go of her hand I began to walk towards the exit people reaching their hands up to touch my own thanking me for the sacrifice I was about to make for them.

I almost made it to the exit of the compartment when the entire room shook nearly tossing me into the ground against a few of the people. I could hear loud snaps from metal parting, followed by explosions. Someone had beaten me to it, someone had manually separated the stations from Go-Sci.

"We're away. We've launched." I heard Sinclair say as I made my way back to my spot next to Abby.

"How?" Abby asked him.

"Godspeed, my friends. Godspeed." Jaha's voice took over the radio's air space.

"Thelonious, Where are you?" Abby asked into her headset.

"Right where I'm supposed to be." He replied to her, "Hold on tight, Abby. You'll see your daughter soon."

Rayne's Point of View

I stood there watching Bellamy as he began to help everyone with the sandbags and getting ready for tonight's last stand for our lives. I could only hope that I would at least be with Bellamy during those last moments. Even though everything in my mind and body told me he would likely find a way for me to hide.

There was no way Bellamy would let Octavia, Clarke and I die. He would find a way to keep us alive even if it meant that he would die. It was one of his more admirable traits, even if that meant making everyone see him as some sort of ass. I stood there still watching him, unaware of the person behind me till I felt the hand on my shoulder.

"I wish things never got this bad." Octavia said revealing to me who was standing with me.

"Me too." I sighed.

"Do you think it's because of the bridge? Like when you and Clarke talked to the grounder leader?" She asked me.

"No, I don't think that's why…" I said getting cut off by the loud beat of drums spreading through the camp like a wild fire. Octavia looked towards me fear struck in her eyes.

I looked back towards Bellamy whom didn't look himself he actually looked terrified. Sure I had seen him scared before and maybe even worried but this look of absolute terror was new. Obviously he was afraid of what the drums meant, and the grounders probably out numbered us ten to one.

I don't know why I was trying to rationalize what was going on right now, there was nothing good or even positive about what was about to happen. "Go to him." Octavia said pushing lightly on my back till I made my way towards Bellamy whom just pulled me close to him kissing the top of my head before moving away from me slightly to look around at the people near by.

"They're here." I heard one of the girls say.

Bellamy looked back at me; "Are you with me?" He asked me softly as I nodded. "Till the end." I told him as he smiled softly to me before taking my hand as we made out way to one of the tunnels.

Rushing through the forest we finally made it to the foxhole that was guarding the front gate by only a few feet. We loose this spot we loose the camp once we'd gotten into the foxhole Bellamy looked around the location we where in and at the people whom where already here.

"Where's Octavia?" He asked.

"She was at the camp…" I mumbled.

"Yea she might still be back there cause she left a while ago. Didn't say where too." Miller explained. "She thinks she's a damn samurai."

Bellamy chuckled softly at the thought of Octavia running around pretending to be a Samurai. I had to admit, since we handed her Lincoln's sword she has been a bit off. Then again handing her, his sword was basically the same as telling her that the man she had fallen in love with was dead. I'm almost positive Clarke would be the same with Finn, like I would be with Bellamy.

"You see anything?" Bellamy asked him.

"No. What the hell are they waiting for?" Monroe asked from beside me as I continued to look through my sight hoping to see anything. Killing wasn't something I wanted to do in any way shape or form but the grounders are leaving us no other choice but to attack them back to save our lives.

"The longer they wait, the better." Bellamy said, "This is about buying time for Raven."

"I see them. They're moving!" Sterling yelled to us over the radio. "I count two, three, no, wait there's more. I don't know, man. There's too many of them." He continued to say causing both Monroe and I to visibly shake.

Bellamy put his hand on my shoulder, "Just breathe babe." He whispered to me as I nodded steadying myself once again.

Shots began to fire off echoing through the woods making it hard to tell where the shots came from. I turned to look at Monroe whom was just as shaken up as I was at this point. I didn't even say goodbye to Clarke how selfish could I be right now. "Who was that?" Bellamy asked.

"Sterling, I think." Miller told him. "South foxhole."

"South foxhole, report now." Bellamy growled into the radio.

"Yea, yea. We're ok." Sterling replied. "They didn't attack. It's like—it's like shooting at ghosts."

They where trying to draw our fire? How did they even know we would be out here in the forest waiting for them? It was like they knew exactly where we all were even in the dark. Something about this just spelt out trouble.

Soon I heard footsteps and looked around only to find very large shadows running in front of us, right along our line of sight. Moving quickly as if to not really be seen completely but enough that it would catch our full attention. What was the purpose of that?

"There!" Monroe exclaimed. "I see them!"

Almost simultaneously both her and Miller began to fire off into the woods at the moving shadows. "Stop! Stop. Hold your fire!" Bellamy shouted to them. "Hold your fire!"

"Reload. Now." He ordered the two of them.

"Those were our last clips." Miller told him tossing a now empty clip onto the ground.

"We should—we should fall back." Monroe began to stutter.

"No. If this position falls, they'll walk right to the front door." Bellamy told her.

We could hear the shots going off at the other foxholes, the grounders where trying to make us waste our ammo. Some how they knew we had limited supplies of it. How they knew about the ammo shortage, the foxholes, our camp layout, our numbers… was so beyond me. Then it hit me. Murphy.

One of the mines went off near the foxhole Jasper and Harper where in. "Raven! Our mines actually work!" He shouted into the radio causing Bellamy to turn to look at me a wide grin etched onto his face.

"Jasper, we need you in the drop ship right now." Clarkes voice echoed into the radio.

"Negative. We can't give up the west woods." Bellamy said into the radio.

"Bells; I can go take his place." I said to him as he shook his head.

"No, you promised me… till the end."

I smiled softly at him. "I did but it's not the end yet. I can help." I explained.

"The west woods are mined, Bellamy. The grounders just figured that out. Jasper get in here!"

"All gunners listen up." Jasper's began to say.

"The grounders are not attacking. They're making us waste bullets. Don't shoot when they're running laterally."

It only confirmed my suspicions that Murphy was the one who told hem about everything. Of course he did, just made me think what he asked from them for such information. There was no doubt in my mind that once they ran out of uses for him, he'd be dead just like the rest of us. He had to have known that.

"Jasper's right. Don't fire." Bellamy said into the radio.
