Rayne's Point of View

We had eventually stopped our long trek through the woods to get some sleep. Bellamy had set up the fire, while both Octavia and Clarke had gone back to sleep. I sat there next to Bellamy as they slept, the silence was killing me it was so chilling.

"Bells what's wrong?" I asked him.

"I don't understand why she was so willing to let us go and look for Clarke, but the moment we ask to leave to go get Finn and Murphy she tries to lock us inside the camp."

"Selfishness, she got Clarke back. She had no need to go out and waste the time on the people who went to go rescue her."

"Yea, but Kane would have let me go after you. I know he would have… Abby was supposed to be the kinder one out of the two of them yet her hearts just as black as his."

"Bells… Clarke is her daughter… and unlike a lot of the parents down here… Clarke is alive. I'm not excusing what she did but… she doesn't want to run the chance of losing Clarke like Roma's parent's lost her, or Pascal, Trina, Diggs, Atom, Mbege…. Charlotte…They no longer have their kids…"

Bellamy gave me a light kiss on the lips; "It's because of Kane, Jaha and Abby we were sent down here… they let those parents lose their kids."

Bellamy let out a deep sigh, "I'm not trying to fight with you." He told me as I smiled, "I know… I feel the same way, I care about Clarke too but the way Abby went out her caring wasn't right… Finn and Murphy are our people… she wouldn't understand why, you, Clarke, Octavia and I would need to go save them."

He nodded, "I don't think they ever will understand it. It's like the group of us they sent down here aren't even apart of their Ark Camp anymore… we're something else."

I giggled softly, "We are something else, and we made ourselves into survivors… They will never know what that was like for us down here."

We could hear stirring around us and both looked to Octavia whom was across from us sleeping soundly. I kept my eyes on here till I heard Bellamy's deep voice begin to speak. "Last time we saw you, you were closing the dropship door. Had to be done." He finished saying as I looked over to where he was looking which was an uncomfortable remorseful Clarke.

She moved so that she was sitting up right on the ground facing the two of us. "Did either of you get any sleep?" She asked.

"Rayne got a bit of sleep earlier." He told her, "It's ok. I'll sleep when we find Finn." He told her.

Clarke smiled happily, "You haven't seen him, Clarke. Losing you, the other, the war, it changed him." He told her causing me to cringe at the memory of him shooting the grounder in the head, wanting to leave Mel on the cliff to die. "He executed the grounder that drew us the map. Pulled the trigger without even blinking and walked away."

"No. That doesn't sound like Finn." She said shaking her head in disagreement.

"No, it doesn't. Clarke, I was scared he was going to hurt Rayne… Murphy was afraid of him. I saw what he was capable of, and still I let him go with Murphy and two automatic rifles."

"I'm sure that had to be done, too." Clarke said causing Bellamy to grip my hand tightly.

"They went out looking for you, it had to be done." I told her as she smiled at me before looking to the ground.

"When we got back to the dropship and no one was there, we assumed it was the grounders. All I could think at that moment was that, 'At least Rayne is with me and not the grounders' I had that moment where I didn't care where you guys were because I knew Octavia was safe with Lincoln, and Rayne was with me."

"As you should have, you have Rayne… if she had ended up being taken with us I am almost positive you and Finn both would be the way he is." She said.

"No Clarke, had she been taken and you where with us… Finn would have been selfish like I was and had a moment where he wasn't worried about finding the others. If it wasn't for Finn and Rayne… I wouldn't have been brought back to reality to go look for you guys."

They kept talking as if I wasn't even sitting there, like if I had even joined in on the conversation my words would be ignored. How come Bellamy never said any of this to me? Why was it he would open up to Clarke about this but when it's me he says nothing of the sort? Did I do something wrong? Did he no longer love me?

"You had every right to be selfish don't you dare apologize for it." Clarke demanded him. "Of course, you all thought it was the grounders. You couldn't have known it was the Mountain Men. No one could have."

"How long until chocolate cake turns into being hung upside down and drained for their blood?" Bellamy asked her as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"I don't know, but we don't have much time. Nova can only stall them and keep our people safe for so long before she thinks Anya and I aren't keeping up our end of the bargain, and with Anya dead… I can only imagine her willingness to help."

"Ok. First we find Finn and Murphy, then our people in Mount Weather." Bellamy said as Clarke agreed with him before looking to me to see if I too agreed.

"And Lincoln." Octavia said, every time Octavia said his name Clarke almost seemed to get weird with it or about it like something going on, or she knew something about him. "Something wrong Clarke?" I asked her.

"Nova, the grounder locked away in Mount Weather she claimed to be Lincoln's sister." She told us as Octavia stared at her, "He said his sister died at the bridge when we blew it up. Anya told him they found her body…"

"She and a few others where picked up by the Mountain Men… she was the only one they let live, they rest were used for their resources." Clarke explained.

"Think we've lingered here long enough." Octavia said as she stood up.
The three of us followed her lead getting up from the ground and getting ready to move out to head back on our trail to find Finn and Murphy.

Nova's Point of View

Soon we reached that halfway point and we needed to decide who was going to the camp, who was heading off Indra to tell her that they where safe and not taken. I looked over at Nia who looked as if she were about to collapse.

"Azrath… you take the men and go find Indra… I will take the two women and head back to the camp so Nyko can look after them."

He nodded; "We will see you all again soon, she will accept you back in the tribe Nova… I promise." He told me before he ran off into the night with two of the tribe's men.

I looked over at Nia and Collia nodding at them before we continued off into the night, hoping the reach our people by daybreak. When I could movement beyond some of the trees I stopped causing both the women to stop with me. Dead silence of night I could hear people moving around. Not our people, they would never make this much noise.

I saw one of our people tied up being lead by one of Clarke's people. Had to be one of her people they looked nothing like anyone I'd encountered. That and the mountain men clearly used the Reapers to gather us, they wouldn't be without their protective gear either.

"We should go he is one of the Commander's men he can take care of himself." Nia said softly from beside me.

"He is a prisoner yet, the Sky person is treating him with respect. They did not show your brother the same respect." Collia explained.

"He is clearly a different breed of sky people, heart filled with compassion and trust, because his brain is empty and filled with stupidity. He is unarmed with one of our people being held captive." I told them both as they chuckled.

"Let's go." Nia said as the three of us soon turned around and headed away from the pair before continuing on our route to find our camp, find the others.

Once the day broke, and the sun was out leaving the misty dew all over the trees from the rain the night before the path had become clearer. The camp was within our sights, Nia grinned rushing towards the campgrounds to see if her husband was still there. Collia remained at my side for the rest of the walk till we heard Nia cry out and a thump to the ground.

She turned to face me, "Collia stay here we will find out what happened." I told her as she nodded solemnly.

"Find something?" I heard a voice call out as she and I crouched down low still making our way to the camp.

"Finn?" The voice yelled out again.

Collia looked at me, "Sky people?" She asked.

"They have to be; they aren't speaking as we do, their talking in English… Finn was the name of that girl Clarke's friend…" I told her as she nodded.

"Why is he in our home?" She asked me as I shrugged. "There are no warriors there, only woman, children and the elders."

"Finn, answer me! Are you all right?" I knew that voice from somewhere, I remembered it.

"Hey, on your knees! On your knees, now!" The voice yelled as Collia shook her head rushing in, all I saw was her be pushed down by someone and pushed into the pen along with all our people.

I stood up walking slowly into the site to see what it was that was going on, where Collia and Nia had vanished too. "Nova?" Nyko said once he saw me walk up behind the guy holding the gun towards Artigas's head.

"John?" I said confused once I saw the side of his face. "John Murphy?" I remembered him.

Our people captured him long ago; they would torture him relentlessly for countless hours before they moved him to another camp where I was given charge to watch over him and take care to his wounds. He was the only Sky Person I had seen since we had Jasper tied to the tree.

"Nova?" He said confused looking at me. "You have to hide." He told me.

"Hide why?" I asked.

"Please… trust me… you tell her to get out of here." He pointed the gun at Nyko.

"Do as he says Nova." Nyko said in English, before switching to our language. "His friend is mad, he will kill you if he sees you get Indra." He told me.

"I wont leave you here at the hands of his crazy friend." I told him before I lowered my head and moved so that I was hiding behind one of the huts.

I watched as Murphy took in a deep breath before turning away from where I'd gone. "Finn!" he cried out again.

That's when I saw him rush out from the other side of the camp running towards the cage full of the villagers, whom where already terrified. He was holding a jacket, and he looked absolutely mad. I shook my head not sure of what to do. I was terrified of him and he had no idea that I was even here.

"Slow down." John called to him.

He pushed the jacket into Nyko's face before tossing it to the ground. "What have you done with them?" He growled raising a gun up into his face.

"Hey, Finn, Finn! Come on!" John said trying to calm his friend down.

"Their clothes are here!" He shouted at him. "They were here!"

"Finn!"

"You killed them!"

Some of the people began to stand up when they saw that Nyko was being threatened. "No. Stay where you are!" He shouted at them in our language, they all sat back down allowing my heart to beat a little less quickly.

"Your friends were not here. I saw one, Octavia, She was alone." Nyko had met Octavia just like they had told me. These were Clarke's people, I didn't think she would have the kinds of people in her ranks that would kill innocent unarmed women and children.

"These people are scavengers, Finn. They could've just found that stuff." John explained to him as 'Finn' grabbed Collia's sister by the shoulder tossing her into the mud.

"Hey, Finn, stop! Stop! Look at me." John tried to take his attention away from my people.

"Get off me!" Finn shouted at him as he was now stepping on her back holding the gun towards her head. "Finn, don't do this. Let's just walk out of here while we still can, ok?"

"Finn. Please." John began to beg him.

Once John had finally calmed his insane friend down they moved a short ways away from my people and a small bit closer to where I was hiding. "Look, just because their clothes are here, doesn't mean anything." John told him.

"He told us our friends were here. Why would he do that?"

"The guy with one eye? Maybe because you had a gun to his head, Finn."

One eye? Did they mean Delano? That man was a certain, worse than scum. He was terrible even too his own people, I was half surprised Anya or Indra hadn't killed him themselves yet. "The man with one eye. You saw Delano. A snake. A thief. He and his men were cast out." Nyko said as he began to stand up from his spot in the cage.

"You are his revenge."

"It makes sense." John told his friend. "Finn. Ok, We need to go." John told him as he began to walk away. "Now. Now! We need to go!" He called to him as he took one look at where I was standing.

One of the elders stood up and made a break to get out of the cage as Nyko shouted at him to stop trying to pull him back but it was too late. His friend Finn open fired at him causing the man to fall to the ground dead. Instantly, nothing in our power was going to save him.

"He was just trying to get away!" Nyko screamed at him as the rest of the tribe began to groan and cry at the sight of one of the elders lying dead on the ground.

That was when I watched as Nyko's only child jump out from the cage rushing towards Finn, causing Nyko to scream out for him to stop. Yet again he was too late. Finn shot him down too, wounding him gravely.

Everyone began to panic trying to get free from the cage and impending death as Nyko tried with all his power to stop as many as he could from leaving the cage. I felt so useless standing here in hiding watching as my people died. However if he killed all of them, I would need to tell the Commander. He would pay gravely for this insult to our people, slaughtering innocents, and for what? Clarke? They had her back; it was our turn to get our people back as she had promised.

I felt myself fall to the ground the tears streaming down my face, the shots firing from the gun. Killing my people, the innocents of our people. These people had nothing to do with any battle; they weren't even apart of the army, they where farmers, healers, nothing more and this child was killing them, for trying to fight for their lives, for trying to escape him.

I would make sure this child was killed for what he was doing to my people. I would make sure Clarke felt this betrayal, I would make sure our pain, would become their pain. No matter what it was she would do or say would fix this. I would bet all the power in this world that Anya would take my side with this one. The Sky People were as good as a paid bounty at this point. There was nothing worth saving when it came to these monsters.

That was when I saw them as I walked out from behind the shed all the dead. Once John had seen me walk around the shed he took hold of me stopping me from going near his friend even though at this point I was far too distraught to do anything to him. All I could do was look around at all the dead lying on the ground before me.

I looked up at the tree line and saw Clarke standing there, her face badly beaten as if she had gotten into a fight with someone. Beside her was a girl around her height with long dark brown hair, next to her a girl with deep red hair, the red haired girl had herself clung to the man standing with them. Tall black haired guy, these where the people Clarke was raving about being so fantastic? These people were monsters.

Rayne's Point of View

We had been walking in the sun for a few hours heading towards the camp like the map and Octavia had been leading us for hours. Her and Clarke where up front leaving Bellamy and I behind the group watching the rear in case any grounders were to show up.

"I still can't believe she's with us and safe." I told Bellamy as he smiled at me.

"Yea, I just wish the others where with her so we could all just go back to being safe behind those… walls." He told me with a smirk.

"Those walls, they will protect us from the grounders." I teased him.

He rolled his eyes at me, "of course they will."

"This is it." Bellamy finally said once Octavia had stopped in front of us. Her and Clarke looking back at Bellamy and I once we'd reached the two of them. We looked ahead of us and the giant statue that she had been talking about was a few feet before us.

"Which way to the village?" He asked her.

When she didn't answer the three of us turned to face her seeing that she was nearly in tears at the sight of the statue. It must have been the last place she'd seen Lincoln. I put my arm around her and pulled her close to me to give her a side ways hug. "O?" Bellamy said to her softly.

"The Reapers came from there. I couldn't save him, Bell." She said as I let go of her so that she could face him. She let him pull her into a hug as she cried into his arms about Lincoln being taken by the Reapers.
"I couldn't save him."

We had continued to walk through the woods looking for Lincoln's village as that was where the Grounder had drawn the map to and that was where Octavia was leading us until we where stopped by the sound of gun fire. "Finn." Bellamy said as the four of us began to run towards where the gun ire was coming from, as fast as we possibly could.

When we had reached the camp it was far too late, Finn was standing there staring at the four of us. Mainly Clarke, almost as if he hadn't even noticed what he had done just now. He was completely oblivious to the bodies lying all over the ground. Just past him Murphy was standing there holding a girl.

I didn't recognize her from the dropship yet she was wearing similar clothing to us. She looked nothing like the grounders, and yet I had no idea who she was. She had light chocolaty skin tone much, here eyes where almost black, her hair was long to her shoulders and a deep brown. She… I didn't recognize her.

"She from the Ark?" I asked Bellamy as Clarke moved away from us and towards Finn. Octavia took this time to rush towards one of the fallen people who was close to the girl in Murphy's arms.

"I have no idea…" he said slowly as the two of us also moved towards Finn.

That was when Clarke made the most heart sinking comment I'd heard all day. "Nova… you where supposed to be with our people in the mountain." That was when the girls eyes, which where already dark seemed to almost glow with anger.

The grounder that was supposed to be watching over our people wasn't even in Mount Weather, she watched as Finn killed half her people before her, and she was Lincoln's sister. I wasn't sure how much worse this situation was going to get. I was almost certain that I didn't want to find out.
