Nova's Point of View
I stared at Clarke watching her lips move to almost no noise following her words. It was almost like she herself was blind to what her friend had just done, or was she upset that I was not babysitting her people back in the Ark?
"Nova?" She shouted moving closer to me, only for me to whip out one of the knives from John's pant leg.
"These are the people you where so desperate to come back to? So willing to risk your people's lives up in the mountain for? Are these not the people you said would do my people no harm?" I asked her as I pushed John away from me walking towards some of the bodies.
"Look around you; Clarke." I spat at her, "These people where villagers, farmers. Your friend killed them like this was the easiest thing he'd done all his life."
"Nova, this can all be explained why aren't you in the mountain you said—" I cut her off.
"Maya is watching over them, she has grown fond of them since you left. She promised me they wouldn't die. However if her promise is as hollow as the one you made me, well…" I said looking around at all the dead bodies lying around me in pools of blood. "We can see how this promise may pan out."
"Clarke said you were going to keep them safe—" The red haired girl said.
"Clarke is starting to appear like someone who says a lot of things. John told me about her long before I met her. I half expected what he told us about you're people to be lies. You better hope Anya is talking to the Commander on your behalf Clarke because the Commander will not forgive this." I told her as she turned to the boy who fired the gun.
"Blood for blood that is the way of our people. Now, where is my brother, and what did Anya say before she left?"
Clarke took in a deep breath; "Anya was… killed on her way with me back to my camp. You're brother I don't know, Octavia—" She started saying as I looked down to the girl whom had her hair braided like our people.
"Lincoln was taken Nova, in the night by reapers." Nyko said to me softly not allowing the girl to speak.
"Get your people out of here Clarke, and pray to your gods that the Commander will show mercy on your people for this." I told her as Nyko stood up lifting his child's body with him, he motioned for the men in the group to do the same to the others before the entire village began to walk into the woods towards the base camp.
"Nova…" John said walking towards me.
"You are not safe with them, John. Come with me I will ask my Commander to take you through the rites to join us." I told him as he nodded.
"He's coming with us." The red headed girl flared up again.
"Rayne, come on." The tall curled brown haired boy spoke to her.
"I'll take my people home, I will wait there for you to come get me… or when they leave to attack the mountain I will come find you…" he told me as I took in a deep breath.
"There is a meadow between the mountain and the forest. You will meet Karl he will take you too our people. I must speak to the Commander about this." I told him before he pulled me in close for a hug.
"Thank you, for saving me all that time ago. I swear I will do what I can to make up for it." He told me before he turned on his heel running to catch up with his friends.
"The Commander will have them all killed for this, not just the one who did it… and for escaping the mountain men she will name you as her second." Nyko told me as I nodded following him into the forest.
Rayne's Point of View
I sat there looking at Clarke as she stared at the table, Bellamy was supposed to have been here a while ago. I assumed he was off talking to Murphy since they had a newfound friendship with each other of something. Since Finn's 'fall from grace' in everyone's mind.
"Where is your boyfriend? He said he would meet us here five minuets ago." She ranted on, to me.
I felt for her, I could feel her frustration. She just lost now a second grounder that we could have had as an ally. However this one left because of Finn, rather than the quick actions of our own guards. She blamed herself for our friends still being in mount weather, Anya dying, and the massacre at the village. She looked so worn out by all of it and I didn't have any uplifting words for her.
"Hey babe, Clarke." Bellamy's deep creamy voice said from behind me as he placed down three cups before kissing my cheek and sitting next to me across from Clarke.
"Hey baby." I said to him with a smile.
"Clarke, did you draw the schematic for me of the place?" She nodded pulling a sketch out and placing it on the table in front of us.
"So we're going to have go in through the waterfall? I don't understand."
She stared at him like she had explained this enough times for him. "Ok, tell me again." He told her.
"Like I said, it's a labyrinth. We got to the dam through this tunnel. It's all connected to the mine system. That's our way in." She explained, " Sure, if we can get past the reapers and the mountain me." He told her as she took in a deep breath.
"When you and Anya where escaping did you see a way past them?" I asked her.
"No, just more ways into the Mountain. I don't know what's behind any of the doors I came across but they where entrances." She told me.
"I swear to god, if your mom doesn't sanction a mission soon, we're going by ourselves." He told her as he took my hand. "Right babe?"
I nodded, "And Octavia. We did promise her we would look for Lincoln with her." I reminded him.
"Yea I forgot about that." he responded with a sigh.
"You two won't be by yourselves." Clarke told us with a soft smile.
We could hear soft chatter going on behind us causing Bellamy to turn around as I looked at Clarke to watch her quickly to look over at what Bellamy was looking at before she turned her attention back to staring off into space. I looked over in time to watch Murphy rush out of the Ark.
"Guess the inquisition's over." Bellamy said with a soft chuckle.
I punched his shoulder lightly, "Not funny."
"Sorry," he smirked. "How's Finn doing, anyway?" Bellamy asked her.
"I haven't talked to him since we got back." She told him before turning to me. "I don't blame you." I told her.
"It's not that, I just don't know what to say." She said.
"He ruined our last hope for peace with the grounders Clarke…" I told her.
"I know, he just… he just kept shooting."
"We're at war, Clarke. We've all done things." Bellamy told her as she lifted her eye brows slightly.
"Hey." Finn said as he walked over.
"Hey." Bellamy and I said in unison.
Bellamy looked at me licking his lip before nodding for us to leave. "Next rounds on us; babe join me?" He asked standing up.
I looked over at Clarke giving her a weak smile before mouthing sorry to her, Bellamy and I began to walk away towards the entrance of the Ark that lead to the rooms we were assigned too. Sitting down on our bed I let out a deep sigh.
"I feel like there was something I should have said to her and didn't." I told him as I peeled the sweaters off of me letting them fall to the ground.
"You did just fine; you did all you can do. The whole walk back to camp you where glued to Clarke's side. Trust me she knows that you mean well." He comforted me.
"I feel like I crowed her to the point of suffocation." I sighed laying on my back, before rolling so I was lying on my stomach.
Bellamy chuckled sitting next to me softly running his hands along the length of my back giving me chills. "I missed this." He said softly to me causing me to grin.
"I missed your touch." I mumbled to him.
He tugged on my shirt so I would roll over; I not only rolled over but sat up next to him. I felt his gaze attached to me instantly, his hand moving up my leg. Than moved my arm, before his hand trailed up my neck before he took hold on the back of my neck pulling my face closer to his. I felt the heat of his breath trickled along my lips, before he latched them to mine.
The heat between us became intense, as more of our clothes began to hit the floor. Our bodies becoming entangled in each other, bliss filling every inch of our bodies before we collapsed onto the bed out of breath.
I lay there staring up at the ceiling which was a window that hadn't broken showing us the sky, all the stars up above us marveling the sky with their beauty. I felt his hand play with my hair as his face nuzzled into the crook of my neck.
"I love you Rayne, and no matter what happens with the grounders. I want you to know that. I will do whatever I can to protect you, but if I can't I need you to run as far away as you can." He told me softly.
"You already know I wont leave you Bellamy. I think if we see a chance to take off we need to take it. Get Clarke, Raven, Monroe and get out of here." I told him.
"Keep our people safe." He agreed. "I suppose that means we should also take Mel, Murphy and Finn with us?"
I shrugged, "I would assume that depends on you and Clarke."
"We would need to decide as a group, not on our own."
"I love you." He told me as I felt his body weigh on me. "I love you too Bellamy." I whispered to him as I fell asleep.
The next morning there was a noticeable knock on the door causing both of us to jolt up from the bed. I began to get dressed as Bellamy walked towards the door. "Who is it?" He asked.
"Clarke you lovebirds decent?" She asked with a laugh.
"Rayne is much to my displeasure. Give us five we'll meet you by the water hole." He told her as we heard her walk away.
"And here I was hoping I would get you all to myself all day." Bellamy said as he walked over to me giving me another kiss.
"You dirty, dirty man." I laughed between kisses.
After the two of us got dressed and left the room heading towards where the morning food was being made we saw Clarke right away. She wasn't wearing her frown she had worn the past few days however instead a bright smile.
"Well hello there Miss perfect smile." I laughed as she gave me a hug.
"My mom sanctioned a mission towards Mount Weather, we found that they where jamming our radios. We're heading out to destroy their towers and find a way inside to get our friends out."
A grin grew onto Bellamy's face, "This is great news." He said, "When do we leave?"
"In ten so get your packs ready and find some weapons and ammo… and Octavia."
I smiled as she walked away, "I'll find Octavia and get the packs. You get the guns and Ammo." I told him as he nodded walking away.
Once I had the packs and was on my way to look for Octavia I bumped into Murphy. "Hey, Ray." He said softly to me.
"Hey Murphy. What's up?"
"Where are you all going?" He asked.
"To infiltrate Mount Weather, should be interesting." I told him as he nodded.
"Right on, if you're looking for Octavia she's outside near the edge of the camp." He told me walking away.
"Murphy?" I called to him as he turned around, "What?"
"That grounder… Nova… was that the grounder that you had bonded with in your capture?" I asked him.
He nodded, "She would have been a great ally, the other grounders Anya and the weird bald freak kept telling her what to do and how to act. Saying she was supposed to be their commanders second. Whatever that means, which means she was the only other grounder than Anya who was going to help us." He told me before taking off.
Once I found Octavia and got her ready before we left. Octavia and I walked through the forest with Bellamy next to me and Clarke not to far behind us walking along side her mom. There where a few guards with us as well and those where the people Finn seemed to be walking with, as well as Raven.
"I can't believe they let Finn come." Octavia snapped.
"He's the best tracker we've got." Bellamy sighed as he walked closer to me. "Clarke is just as good of a tracker as he is." I told him as he shrugged.
"She's right." Octavia added.
"Don't forget to look up. The grounders use the trees. That's how we lost John Mbege." Bellamy called out to everyone.
Nova's Point of View
Once we reached the base Nyko and the others walked around making themselves useful to the warriors. I stood there looking around trying to see if I could find the commander or any of the warriors that followed her.
"Nova, you're alive. Our reports told us you died on the bridge." A mans voice said from behind me.
Turning around to see one of the men that was in charge of the desert clans. "The Commander will be very happy to see you are alive."
I nodded, "I was hoping that I could speak to the Commander about another attack on our people, and what the mountain men have been doing and what they plan on doing."
He nodded, "She is dealing with two of the sky people's leaders in the pit, you are welcome to come down with us when we leave her there to judge them." He told me.
"I would like that." I told him with a smile.
Walking down a long path I saw the Commander standing there before the gate, beyond that was where the prisoners where being kept. She stood there her long brown hair falling on her shoulders. She was prepping herself to look like she was just a regular clan woman. She turned and saw me a soft grin growing on her lips.
"Ah! Nova!" She called to me as she walked towards me before eloping me into hug.
"I knew the rumors couldn't be true, I knew you were alive. We have much to discuss about what is to happen with you. However right now I'm busy I need to oversea the two sky men, see what they have to say."
"Say?" I asked her.
She nodded, "There have been more missing people since their fall to the ground, more reaper attacks, mountain men patrolling the areas… they have something to do with this." She told me.
"One of their people also killed 18 of our people. Indra's village, a young man he just shot them all, they where unarmed… farmers." I told her, as her eyes grew dark. She looked at one of the men behind me.
"You bring this up to the men, fight to the death…. Nova you can wait by the gate if you need to but we will talk about this when I am out." She told me as she straightened herself up before the group of them entered the pit.
I moved so that I was closer to look into the pit, there where two men sitting on the ground looking at the warriors intently when they had entered the pit. They looked horrified at the things they where being accused of as well. I stood there taking in a deep breath; our people were to go to war once this interrogation was finished. There was no way Lexa was going to let these people live.
