Nova's Point of View
Once the men had left Lexa in the pit with the men from Clarke's, home. I sat there on a set of stairs watching Lexa from the dark corner; she sat there listening to the two men talk. I myself had to admit that I was confused by the fact that they where not fighting like they had been demanded too.
"You're watching?" A deep voice spoke from behind me as I turned to see Gustus smile as me before taking a spot next to me.
"I am watching, Lexa. The two men I have little to know care for, after what those people did to the village. After they tortured my brother, and killed Anya… they could both die, it would effect me." I told him as he chuckled softly as he patted my back.
"You know Lexa will demand you take, Talia's place as her second." He told me.
"Why what happened to Talia?" I asked.
He let out a deep sigh before moving around in his spot; "She was taken by a group of reapers when she left on a patrol the other night."
I nodded," The reapers, they take our people to the Mountain Men to be drained of all their blood and then disposed." I told him.
He shook his head, "So once we kill all the sky people, we will have to call upon all the clans and attack the reapers and the mountain men."
I nodded slightly, "We could do what the last commander did when we found that one group out in the deserts… join or die? Then at least we would have pawns to do the grunt work and keep our people safe longer."
He chuckled; "You and Lexa are too much alike; she was considering that same things the other day."
I smiled; "What do you think is going on in there?" I asked him nodding my head towards the pit.
"She is determining what to do with them." I nodded as the two of us fell into silence hoping to hear what they where saying.
"That's why we need to end this war!" One of the men yelled.
"War, they know nothing of war." Gustus said from beside me.
Rayne's Point of View
As we continued to walk through the woods with the group Bellamy, Octavia and I began to hang back moving to the back of the group. We saw them all make it into the clearing when Octavia took me by the arm jogging off from the group.
"We should start looking in this direction, this was the way that Clarke said they had come from after they got out of the water." Bellamy said.
Walking through the woods, Bellamy was a few feet ahead of Octavia and I. "According to Clarke, before the bombs, there were buildings everywhere here."
"So there should have you know access to the underground then, somewhere." I commented.
"Exactly what I was thinking, there as to be a way into the bunkers." He agreed with me.
"So we're looking for ruins, anything that's manmade, ok?" Bellamy said again.
"Hey! Blake! Kane!" We heard guards shout from behind us as both Blake siblings grabbed hold of wrists.
"Let's go, right now." The one guard told us.
"In case you've forgotten, we're not under your command." Bellamy told them, as Octavia let go of my wrist and moved away from us a small bit.
"Don't make us do this the hard way." The man told us.
"The hard way?" I said with a chuckle, "Only slightly laughable."
Scott turned his eyes towards me glaring at me. "Come on, Scott, 47 of our people are prisoners in this mountain."
"And that's why we're out here." Scott said to us.
"Wrong." Bellamy snapped. "You're out here to find other stations of the Ark."
Octavia moved closer to me nudging me in the arm before darting her eyes to the ground causing me to look to where she was looking. There where so many tiny bugs crawling all over the ground turning the once dirt covered forest floor into a sea of green and black bugs. "What the?" I said softly, as she turned her head up to face me with the same exact expression.
"We're out here to find our friends." Bellamy said snapping our attention away from each other.
"Bell." She and I said in unison as he looked over to me only to watch me nod my head in Octavia's direction. She was once again staring at the bugs covering the ground.
"What the hell?" He said softly to us.
"What are they doing?" Scott asked us.
The area soon filled with screams as Octavia moved away from the two of us and began to follow the bugs trail trying to figure out where they where headed. "O' we don't have time." I called to her.
"Acid Fog!" Bellamy called out as Octavia looked back towards Bellamy and I before darting off in the same direction as the bugs. "Wait! Octavia!" I called after her as we all followed her.
"We need cover! Now!" Bellamy told the men while we where on the move.
"Deploy the tents! Let's go!" He continued to order as I continued to follow Octavia down the path she was walking along.
"Look." She pointed out to me; I looked in the direction she was pointing in. The bugs seemed to be going under what looked like a sealed door.
The fact that this Acidic fog actually lead us to the way into the Mountain seemed to be the one piece of good luck we've had in days. Besides of course finding Mel, however with that we lost Sterling. Finding Clarke, Finn killing an entire village of grounders in front of the only grounder that would help us. I had to ask myself what the negative fall back was going to be from finding this entrance.
"O! Rayne!" Bellamy began to call to us once he saw the two of us off in the distance not getting tents ready. "Get back here!"
"Bell look!" She called to him.
"You have to see what Octavia found, look." I pointed to the ground.
She was already on the ground ripping the moss away from the door that the bugs had been crawling under. She looked back and up at both Bellamy and I excitedly. "There's something in here." She told us both.
"Maybe it's the ruins." I told them both as Bellamy turned around to look at the three soldiers.
"Hey! Hey! Over here!" Bellamy called out to them.
He moved both Octavia and I out of his way once he had found the handle on the door and began pulling at it trying to open it. "Come on…" he mumbled eagerly.
"We found it!" Octavia told the guard when he came over.
"She found it." I stated with a grin.
"Come on, pull." Bellamy urged Scott when he came over. "Hurry…" Octavia and I ushered them both as the acid fog began to approach us.
As soon as they pulled the door open Octavia grabbed my hand pulling me into the room on the other side of the door. We looked behind us to see that both Bellamy and Scott where behind us. Which meant the other two guards were still outside.
"Hey! Quick! Get inside!" Bellamy called out to the two men.
"Come on, move! Let's go!" Bellamy continued to yell at the two men as the one ran into the door.
The other guard stood up to run towards the door but ended up being engulfed by the acid fog, we could hear his screams and cries of pain. It reminded me so much of the night we lost Atom. His screams and cries for help and pain where horrifying.
Scott moved to run out and get his man when Bellamy grabbed him by his back and began to yank him into the ruins. "Move! It's too late!" he told him as they shut the door once the five of us where safely inside the ruins.
The five of us soon turned on our flashlights looking around us as many of the remaining bugs began to speed away from our feet. "Let's go." Bellamy said as the continued to walk further into the ruins.
Looking around there where cars everywhere, or at least what I would assume cars looked like. They where all covered in thick layers of dust and rust. "Where are we?" Scott asked.
"Looks like a garage." I explained as Octavia instinctively drew her sword. "More like a tomb." She corrected me.
I looked over at her as we shinned the lights all over each of the cars in awe at what we where looking at, "This is unbelievable." I told her.
She nodded; "Look at it all, do you think the people who owned these are the mountain men?" She asked me.
"Maybe."
"Look, I'm sorry about your man." Bellamy told Scott. "But we need to find an access door to mount weather."
"Hey, not so fast." Scott told him.
"Sir, that fog could keep us pinned down for another—" Bellamy began to say before the guard cut him off handing him a pistol.
"We'll split up. Be back here in 15." Scott told us. "Be safe."
Bellamy, Octavia and I began to walk off into the darkness once the two other men took the left wing of the garage. Octavia had her sword out, Bellamy his Pistol. I was simply carrying the bow and arrow that Octavia had made for me in the camp.
We continued walking around in the dark, Bellamy stopped to look at a door trying to figure out if it where locked or not. "Damn it…" he said after giggling the handle.
"Shh," Octavia hushed us, the moment we had stopped shouting we could hear shouting in the distance.
We began to run off towards the noise our weapons drawn in defense. As we approached we could hear the sound of music twinkling in the air.
'Fa la la, fa la la,' the music softly played in the air, it sounded so eerie, creepy almost. "Scott?" Bellamy called out softly.
"Are you there?" He asked again as we flashed the lights around looking for them.
We began to walk closer to the end of the row of cars, the music maker lying on the floor next to one of the guard's guns. Bellamy picked the gun up swinging it over his shoulder securely. We could heard some odd noise off in the distance causing us all to look at each other.
"Bell, what's that?" Octavia asked him curiously.
We flashed the lights off in the direction the noise was coming from and sure enough there where two reapers making lunch out of one of the guards. "Reapers…" Octavia said softly as the two turned around and began to charge at us.
Bellamy stood up shooting them both quickly; we stood there watching as the two of them fell to the ground before us. "Where's Scott, that was his partner." I commented looking over at the dead man on the ground.
"Rayne." Bellamy said,
"What?"
"Take this." He said handing me the pistol as Octavia looked at me nodding, "Keep an eye out for Scott." She commented.
We could hear deep heavy breathing not to far away from where we had killed the grounders. My bow back on my back, the arrows back in the quiver. Octavia was holding her knife out steadily, Bellamy with the automatic rifle, me now holding the pistol. Bellamy shinned the light over to where the noise was coming from.
We found Scott; a reaper was also eating him. Bellamy cocked his gun to shoot the reaper, just as I did too. "Don't." Octavia told us as we both looked at her with confusion. The grounder looked up at us, blood dripping down his chin, white paint whipped across his face and a chunk of meat in his hands.
"It's Lincoln." She said excitedly, how she was happy to see Lincoln when he was eating a guard was beyond me.
Lincoln began to stand up looking at us with a hunger in his eyes. "Lincoln, it's me." She told him.
He stepped over the dead body and began to walk towards the three of us. "It's Octavia."
Lincoln charged at Octavia knocking the knife from her hand and shoving her against the wall. "Ow!" She cried out.
"Octavia!" The two of us shouted to her. "Bells do something." I cried to him keeping my gun aimed on Lincoln.
Once he had started advancing at the two of us I shot him in the shoulder, Bellamy smacking him in the face with the butt end of the gun. He looked at the two of us and sighed; "We have to hide, now." He told the two of us as I quickly rushed to Octavia's side to help her up and take her over to where Bellamy was. "He's right." I told her.
