Nova's Point of View

"She's right. They're not budging." The white man of the two commented as Gustus looked over at me.

"I wish one of them would just kill the other." He huffed as I smirked. "In good time, I do call dibs on the one that killed my village." I told him as he chuckled.

"Of course, you and Nyko get him…"

I stood up and moved closer to one of the walls to watch them intently as the one man walked over and picked up the knife. "About time." I commented as Gustus moved closer to watch too.

"Marcus, what are you doing?" The darker skinned man asked him.

"If we don't make a choice… then we'll both die." He said softly. "And the killing won't end."

The man named Marcus stood up the knife tightly gripped in his hand as he stood there turning around to face his friend. I watched, as Lexa seemed to become more interested in what was going on with the two men. "There's only one way out of this." He said again.

He started walking towards the other man causing Lexa to jolt forward slightly as she looked over at us. Would they really be so bold to kill her? She in their minds was just a woman, there was no way they figured out she was our Commander.

He stopped right in front of the other man holding the knife up so that the handle was in his face. "You have to kill me." He told the man, I could feel my jaw drop, "I wasn't expecting that." I explained quietly.

"Yea, I thought he would be the one that kills the other. He has the blood hungry look in his eyes." I nodded, even though I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.

"We have to do this." He ushered again. "It's our only choice."

"Kane, no." The man said calmly.

"They respect strength. Let's show them ours." He continued saying.

"I said… no." The other said again.

"They found him in the desert; he seemed abandoned and lost, yet they act as though he is their leader." Gustus explained.

"Maybe he was their leader when they where in the sky, down here they have no leader. They have a bunch of kids running around killing innocents and playing god. They have adults walking around with no idea what they are dealing with. The whole lot of them are a mess, they need to go." I explain to him as he chuckled.

"Do you think they are responsible for Lincoln vanishing?" he asked.

"I know they are."

"You did not order the massacre." The one against the wall told 'Kane'.

"Not that one." He shook the knifes handle in the other mans direction. "Marcus, you don't need redemption."

"The choice we made on the ark was about survival. We did what we had to so that the human race could survive."

"The human race was already surviving." Marcus yelled at his friend.

I was beginning to wonder if these two men where friends, I certainly didn't treat my friends like they where expendable. "Then we did it for our people."

"Yes, and now we must do this." Marcus yelled again, he seemed very head strong.

I turned and looked over at Gustus; I wasn't sure what to say. I know if I was the commander I would look for a way to cohabitate with them. Have them help us destroy the mountain men; we have lost enough people to war. Three hundred of Anya's men alone in one night alone, according to Nyko. Not to mention the amount of us that where lost at the bridge. A war with the Sky people at this point in time is just not a good idea.

We needed to stop the mountain men from attacking, and taking our people for those twisted experiments. They looked at us as if we're wild dogs when we are simply just trying to survive like them. Looking down on us for not being as advanced as they are, as if we are just a means to an ends.

They acted like they where letting us live, we're just experiments to them. When they didn't need us they would just kill us off, if we got to be too much for them they would just get rid of us. We needed the advantages they had to help us get rid of them. I knew they where useful to us, wiping them out now just seemed wasteful when we could let them wipe out the mountain men and themselves in the process.

"I won't let you die for me." I heard the man Marcus say.

"Marcus think about your daughter…" The other man told him.

Daughter, so he was a parent of one of the kids I'd encountered. Was Clarke his daughter? I couldn't imagine a man this diplomatic having a kid that reckless. Maybe it was the Octavia girl, she seemed to have the same colour hair as him. I suppose that would make sense, unless his kid was still in the mountain.

"Oh," I heard Lexa gasp as I looked up and saw the man cut his arm deeply. Suicide, that isn't honorable at all. I suppose yes it is a sacrifice, but it's the cowards way out and was not the rules Gustus had given him.

"Finally." I heard Gustus mumbled.

"Come on. Help us. Please." The man begged Lexa.

I watched as she walked over handing him a cloth to wrap Marcus's wounds. "I told you, we didn't come all this way to die."

The darker man then stood up with the knife and moved quickly over to Lexa holding the knife close to her throat causing Gustus, myself and the few men in the hall to jolt forward.

"Thelonious! No!" Marcus yelled.

"I choose to live." Thelonious explained to the man.

Gustus took me by the arm, as he and the other men charged into the pit to stop the man from hurting Lexa. She looked at me as a dirty looking grin grew on her lips for a short time. She was just letting me know not to worry about her.

I stood there with my eyes glued to Lexa, only briefly looking at the two men in the room. "Take off these chains." The man holding Lexa demanded, causing me to scoff.

"Thelonious, please, she's just an innocent girl." Marcus begged him.

Innocent, girls like Lexa and I haven't been innocent since we exited our mother's wombs.

Lexa then began to speak to us in our native language. "He made his choice." She told us as the rest of us nodded in agreement with her. "This one is mine." She continued.

He was hers', the one who killed the entire village and Clarke were mine. I would make that boy suffer more than he can imagine for what he did. He will be begging for death, once he reaches that point… I'd hand him over to Nyko. These people didn't deserve our life, as I've said before we use them till the mountain men and the reapers are gone. Then destroy them.

In one swift movement Lexa managed to pull herself out of his arms, throw him to the ground and disarm him. Holding the knife to his throat I could almost imagine the look on her face while she stared down at him. The never imagined a girl like her could be our Commander, as the other man said; we respect strength.

She pulled the rags from her hair and looked over at Gustus. "I've heard what I needed to hear." She told us as we all bowed out heads, "Yes, Mam'" We all responded to her as Gustus brought over her Commander's shoulder piece.

I heard her snap it into place as Gustus moved me so that I was closer to her. I guess he wasn't lying when he told me that I was going to be her new second. "You're the Commander?" Marcus asked her.

"I've learned much about you." She began to say to him in English moving closer to them. "It's clear your intentions are honorable. Your desire for peace is true. Break him out." She commanded.

One of the men went over and unlocked his chains. "Later we will talk." She told Marcus. "In the meantime, your friend will be used to send a message."

"No…" Marcus pleaded. "Jaha tell Rayne I will come back for her." He began to beg as two of the men began to take him away.

The red haired girl was his daughter; guess I can see where she gets her charm. Not sure how she wasn't a leader over Clarke if this is who her father is. Then again, I guess in their world they have no ruling succession line like we used to have till we became a clan of strength.

They began to drag the other man away as she, Gustus and I stood there staring at Marcus. "The massacre must be answered. Blood must have blood." She told him before she turned to me.

"As my new second, I suspect you agree and will lead me to the one who killed the village?" She asked me. I nodded; "Of course I will. Gladly." I responded to her.

Rayne's Point of View

We had managed to climb into a car that we found unlocked, being as quiet as we could be trying not to gain any attention from Lincoln. Lincoln… he seemed possessed, rabid, just really off kilter. I could hear Bellamy trying to catch his breath as I rubbed small circles into his back.

"He's a reaper?" Octavia whispered. "How is it even possible?"

"Maybe he was confused? Or poisoned?" I offered as an explanation.

"He just looked right through me." She continued, "Shh." Bellamy suddenly hushed us.

"How?" Octavia continued.

I looked up to see what it was that Bellamy had seen only to see the zombie like state was hobbling over to where we where hiding. I wasn't sure how it was that he found us but it terrified me. There was no telling what he was capable of in this state he was in. Obviously he was capable of killing someone with his bare hands, I was scared of what he would do when he found the three of us.

"Huh?" Octavia said as her eyes followed here ours where pointing he was right outside the car looking in through the window. He had scars and scabs all over his face. His facial hair was grown in quite a bit, his eyes looked dead, empty and lifeless. Drool was pouring out of his mouth; he looked so dead on the inside.

"Did he see us?" Octavia asked softly.

"I don't think he sees anything hun." I whispered back to her.

"I don't know if he did, but something drew him here." Bellamy commented.

Lincoln began to growl and snarl at the window before placing his hand on the glass smearing blood all over it before he started to walk away from us and the car. Bellamy shuffled around a bit in the car moving so that both of us could see his face.

"Shh, just listen to me." He began to say, "We'll get him back. I promise."

Slowly opening the door of the car, Bellamy exited the car first. Followed quickly and quietly by both Octavia and I. We looked around for any sign of Lincoln. Bellamy must have had some sort of plan to help Lincoln out. I just hoped he wasn't playing any of it as he went along.

"You sure you're ready for this?" Bellamy asked Octavia.

I couldn't imagine hunting her boyfriend being something she wanted to do. God knows I wouldn't want to have to hunt and harm Bellamy down it would break my heart. Octavia nodded quickly; "Ok. Draw him in. We'll do the rest." Bellamy explained to her as she began to move away from us.

"Bellamy you sure about this?" I asked him.

"If he hurts her, we'll kill him. For now we have to play it to subdue him." He explained as we backed into the shadows.

"Lincoln!" O' called loudly trying to get his attention.

Metal clanked off in the distance, "Lincoln!" She called out again. "Can you hear me?"

I could hear his grunting, the shuffling of his feet moving faster with each step. I could hear Octavia trying to move away from him as fast as she could. Which means he was never that far away from us the entire time we where in the car. "I'm sorry." I heard her whisper.

"Hey!" Bellamy shouted at him as we both moved out from behind him. Bellamy took the electric rod and pressed it to Lincoln's neck causing him to cry out in pain as he slowly but surely collapsed to the ground.

"Now what?" Octavia asked once Lincoln was completely out cold.

I pulled out some chains and ropes we'd found behind the one car. "Now we take him home." Bellamy said as she looked over and saw what it was that I was holding.
