Nova's Point of View

The room was still silent, Lexa waiting for Clarke to answer her question as Clarke was looking around probably hoping she didn't say the wrong thing to ensnare Indra's wrath for a possible fourth time. "Well?" Lexa asked her breaking the silence.

"The Mountain men are turning your people into reapers." Lexa looked over at me not amused by Clarke's words. "I can turn them back." She continued to explain.

"Impossible." Indra shouted at Clarke.

"Commander, I beg you let me kill her." Indra then asked Lexa in our language.

"I've done it. With Lincoln." Clarke said as her all eyes now landed on me from the sound of his name being uttered.

Lincoln was still alive, and he was a reaper? How was this even possible? Nyko made it sound as if the reapers took Lincoln and killed him. Was this what the Mountain men were doing with our people after they drained them to near death? I felt sick to my stomach…

"That traitor is the reason my village was slaughtered by your people." Indra said as she walked closer to Clarke.

"Enough!" Lexa shouted at Indra as she stood up from her throne. "His sister stands at my side as my second and yet you still call him these names?" She said coldly to her in our tongue.

Indra ignores what Lexa said and storms away to the other side of the tent leaving the clearly terrified Clarke standing there staring at us. "Lincoln is alive?" I asked her.

"He is… I promise you this Nova." She told me.

Lexa turned to face me as she and Gustus moved closer to Clarke, Gustus moving me so I too was closer to the young girl. "You say you can turn reapers back into men?" Lexa asked Clarke.

Clarke started to nod, "Yes." She said confidently.

"Then prove it." Lexa spat out at Clarke. "Show us Lincoln, Nova will be the judge as to the status of her brother being Man or Reaper." She told Clarke as she looked over at me swallowing hard, eyes still struck with fear.

Rayne's Point of View

I sat on the other side of the room next to Bellamy as the grounder Nyko stood on the other side of the room staring at me. Standing up I walked over to where he was. "I really am sorry for what happened to your people." I said to him softly as Octavia rung out more water from the rag to cool Lincoln's fever down.

"Sorry won't bring them back." He told me keeping his eyes firmly planted on me.

I looked towards the ground, "Can I ask you something Nyko?"

He nodded at me leaning against the wall, "What is it your people want with me? Anya tried kidnapping me, Tristan did too… they said your Commander wanted me for something."

Nyko smirked looking over at Bellamy whose eyes where firmly planted on the grounder that was inches from me. Trying to keep our conversation hushed. "The Commander we had before Lexa was said to be the most kindhearted soul. She was the only one of our leaders who had managed to make peace with any other clan, even united them under one banner. So much compassion, kindness…" He began to explain to me.

I continued to look at him, confused as to what this grounder leader had to do with me. "She was said to be one of the most beautiful of our kind, long hair the color of fire. Eyes as green as the moss in the forest, she was the beloved older sister of Lexa our current Commander." He told me causing my eyes to widen.

"She thinks I'm her sister?" I asked him.

"She knows her sister is dead; the Mountain men took her, most likely killed her. It is said that when the reports of your people reached the Commander the description of you made her think you where her sister… she wanted to see for herself. However after each attempt to capture you and take you to the Commander continued to fail, she eventually called off the request. You are probably one of the few Sky people who won't have to fear death. " He told me.

"If she knows I'm not her sister why did she keep trying to capture me?" I asked him.

"When someone you love dearly dies, or goes missing. You will find just about anything, anyway to hold onto that memory. You are that reminder of her sister." He told me

"Something to hold onto. She wont take you if that is what you fear." He explained. I nodded as he took a deep breath, "Losing her sister was hard enough, losing someone that looks like her sister would only make her feel as if she lost her a second time."

"Do they know what happened to her after they took her?" I asked, he shook his head, "We may never know what happened, it was almost ten years ago maybe longer since the day it happened. Anyone who had tried to get answers for the Commander also went missing or ended up dead." He told me.

"Maybe she is still alive in there, you never know there is always hope." I told him, "I would love to think Sonja is still alive, she was the perfect ruler. She knew when to be ruthless, and she knew when to be kind… Lexa doesn't have the luxury of being a kind ruler, not after the Mountain Men showed their willingness to take even our Commander when she is on a mission for peace."

"Now go sit with your boyfriend before he tries killing me for talking to you." He told me as I smiled softly before making my way back over to Bellamy.

"What did he want?" He asked me before I could sit down.

"I asked him if he knew why Anya and that other guy were so adamant about taking me to their Commander. Apparently I look like her sister, sister who is dead." I told him softly.

"That's… morbid." He said confused, the metal hatch soon opened as Finn moved up the ladder.

"Oh, thank god. Where's Clarke?" Octavia asked him.

"Trying to stop a war." He told her as the grounder rolled his eyes, and mouthed that I should have gone with her.

Suppose he is right, if I look like the Commanders sister Sonja then maybe that alone would help us at least stall the Commander from wanting to kill our entire camp. Probably not, that even sounded like huge leap to me. It would likely just cause more problems than it would have solved.

Abby soon moved up the ladder too, looking over at Octavia then to Bellamy and I. Her eyes lingered on me as if she wanted to say something to me. Had my father returned to the camp? Was he dead? I lowered my head to look at Lincoln instead.

She moved so that she was next to Lincoln on the floor opening his eyelid. "Pupils are unresponsive." She sighed.

"Tie off his arm." She ordered Octavia as she did as she was told.

"Tight as you can." Abby continued, Finn seemed to keep looking back at Nyko as if he was about to leap from the corner and maul him again.

"Thanks to the supplies Rayne and your brother found, Lincoln might have a chance." She explained to Octavia as she began to fill the syringe.

"What's that?" Octavia asked her cautiously.

"This will bring down his fever." Abby attempted comforting Octavia as Bellamy took my hand in his, in an attempt to comfort me.

The moment Abby tried to stick Lincoln with the needle he began to thrash around, she looked over at Bellamy and I. "Hold him down!" She shouted as Bellamy, Octavia and I instantly moved so that we could hold Lincoln down to the floor as best as we could.

"Abby he's seizing again," I told her roughly hoping to spark her attention that I was still useful to her in the medical tent.

"What's happening? Why isn't it working?" Octavia began to panic.

I looked over at Abby hoping she had some sort of answer, knowing Clarke she was going to use Lincoln as some sort of leverage like we'd talk about. The fact that we can hopefully return him to his former health, change him from a Reaper back to a grounder. Which would only mean she was leading them here, which meant we were running out of time.

"His heart stopped." Abby told her as I watched Octavia's face drop, Abby however didn't seem to give up she started on chest compressions, much like Clarke had the last time.

Nyko moved so he was above Lincoln's head facing Abby as she continued attempting the chest compressions. "You're their healer?" She asked him, Nyko nodded. "Tilt his head back." She directed him.

"Pull his chin down to open his airway." She continued as Nyko looked over at me confused. I smiled at him, trying to comfort him. He nodded at me slightly before doing as he was asked.

I looked up at Bellamy who began to run his fingers through his hair; he knew just as well as all of us did if this didn't work we would be the first of our people to die. I then turned my attention to Finn who was looking away from the rest of us in shame, probably blaming himself for Lincoln's predicament as well. He had to know how unhealthy that was; he wasn't to blame for Lincoln and the war.

Nova's Point of View

I stood next to Lexa with Indra and Gustus not to far away from us as we stood feet away from the doors of the place these people once called their home. Standing on the ashes of hundreds of our people that Clarke had killed not more than a week ago. I looked over at Lexa, who sighed before speaking to me, "If Lincoln is still a reaper, you may kill whomever you wish first. Indra has already clearly decided on Clarke, Nyko claimed Finn," She whispered to me after Clarke entered the structure.

"I will kill the girl who is responsible for taking my brother from me." Indra looked over at me over joyed.

"That troublesome girl, Octavia." She said as I nodded. "She's the reason he never searched for me after the bridge."

"Then it is settled, now… let's go see this cure of the reaper disease." She announced as Gustus and Indra followed after Clarke, soon followed by Lexa and myself.

Once in the drop ship I could hear the clear distinct sound of someone sobbing. Lexa looked over at me with great amounts of sympathy filling her eyes. The sobs must have been from the girl who my brother was in love with Octavia. Which could only mean he was likely dead.

Lexa went up the ladder first followed closely by me, Indra and Gustus. Upon moving further into the room my eyes immediately landed on my brother Lincoln. Lying on the floor chains covering his whole body like he was a prisoner against his will.

"Lincoln…" I managed to choke out tears beginning to flood my eyes.

"First my people in the Mountain and now you kill my brother? What kind of monster are you Clarke of the Sky people?" I snapped.

"This isn't her fault!" The girl with the red hair shouted at me.

"No you're right, it's his fault." I pointed at Finn.

"This is no one's fault; we did our best to revive him. I swear to you, we wouldn't let him die." She said as she wrapped her arm around the crying girl. I suppose she is right they wouldn't mean to kill him that would only add suffering to their friend.

The sight of my brother's lifeless body on the ground caused my heart to pound hard against my chest. Choking every last piece of me out in my own soft sobs. The last time I saw him he was rushing towards their camp to warn Octavia of our night approach on the bridge. He warned me, told me not to go with the group.

He said he would come back for me, I could feel the strength in my knees begin to give way. I felt myself fall to my knees hard against the ground moving myself closer to my brother's body as everyone seemed to draw their weapons.

I couldn't bring myself to care Lincoln was dead. They could all kill each other now at this point I couldn't care. "I'll kill them all." Indra shouted as I felt the girl Octavia shudder but just like myself she remained unmoved by the actions going on around us.

"Please. You don't have to do this." I could hear Clarke beg.

"You lied, and you're out of time." I heard Lexa reply.

"He was your brother." I heard the girls soft voice flutter from beyond her hair.

"My protector, and my brother." I explained to her softly as the fight around us perused.

"They did everything they could please don't hate them." She pleaded with me.

"I only hate one of you're people, Octavia and no amount of pleading will change that." I whispered to her.

The woman that was with the sky people pushed both Octavia and I out of the way pushing the rod in her hand against Lincoln's chest as bolts of electric currents ran through it into him shocking his entire body. I sat there staring at the woman like she was insane before looking back at the others whose faces mirrored mine.

"Hit him again." Clarke told the woman, the woman did just that pushed the rod against my brother's chest a second time. This time rather than met with his head just falling to the side he let out a gasp of air.

Opening his eyes slowly as I felt the girl Octavia grab my arm pulling me closer to Lincoln with her. "Lincoln." She said softly as his eyes locked with hers.

Then his head jolted towards me, staring at me intently almost as if I wasn't even really hear. He moved his head towards Octavia softly whispering her name before he turned to look at me. "Nova… you're alive?" He questioned.

"Not now… rest brother…" I said to him as I felt the tears pour from my eyes.

Octavia pulled me closer to her in a hug, as we both sat there staring down at my brother who was no longer dead, or a reaper. I wasn't sure what it was that woman did to my brother and I wasn't sure that I really cared either. All I was sure of was that she gave me back my brother and apparently jump-started a friendship for me with Octavia.

Rayne's Point of View

Soon after Abby saved Lincoln's life Clarke was asked by the grounders to return to their camp. They wanted to talk about what it was they wanted in return for this peace bargain. Apparently bringing the one grounders brother back to life and showing they we can cure the Reapers wasn't enough for them.

Surprisingly enough the young grounder was allowed to stay behind to tend to her brother. I sat next to Bellamy on one of the few benches left in the room, as Nyko stood watch over the young grounder girl. I looked over at Bellamy.

"Abby did great." He whispered to me.

"Better than great, she not only brought Lincoln back for Octavia… but she reunited a brother and sister. Gave the grounders a reason to give us another chance." I told him as he took my hand kissing the top of it.

"Hey… Lincoln's…. sister." Bellamy forced out not knowing what her name was.

"Nova." Nyko said harshly to him, as if it was something he should of known. Nyko who was clearly still here to keep the girl safe, or bring her back to the Commander once Lincoln was mobile.

"Sorry," Bellamy offered, "What is it that your people want in return for showing them we can change the Reapers?" He asked her.

She straightened her back before slowly looking around for Finn whom had left with Abby shortly after Clarke and the grounder's had left. "Blood must have blood. That is the way of our people, and no matter of miracles you can show us will change that. She will want Finn of the Sky people, as I had asked for his life in return for what he did to my village." She told us.

I looked at Bellamy; "Some how I feel like we knew that was going to be the answer." I explained.

"I just hope Clarke comes back and talks to the chancellors before she agrees to that." he told me.

"Regardless if she agrees or not," The girl began to say, "Thank you for saving my brother." She said as Octavia once again pulled her in for a side hug, Nova clearly looking uncomfortable by the amount of affection she was being given.

"Rayne, if it wasn't for you and Bellamy… I'd be a mess." Octavia thanked us as I grinned.

"You are Rayne?" Nova asked me.

"Yes… I am." I told her slowly.

"Your father is Marcus…" She said more to herself than to me. "He is still alive. The Commander has him in our base camp, I believe he is still a prisoner… he will likely stay alive and be returned to you should Clarke hand Finn over to my people. Should she refuse, I cannot say he will be alive by the end of the week." She explained me as she looked over at Nyko.

"Octavia, you will send word for me when my brother is awake and mobile. I will do my best Rayne to keep your father alive, however I can't do that from here." She told us as she and Nyko moved towards the hatch.

"And please… tell Murphy that I miss speaking to him." She said awkwardly clearly wanting to say she more than just missed him. I guess Murphy had charmed her when she was one of his guards or his caretaker when he was their prisoner.

"We will, pass it on to him… good luck." I told her as she nodded slightly before disappearing through the door.

"Who would have guessed, Lincoln's sister would want to be with Murphy… who would have opted to kill Lincoln when he was our prisoner." Bellamy half chuckled kissing my cheek.
