Bellamy's Point of View

This was a pain unlike anything I had ever felt before in my life, the screams of the grounders around me sounded like they where so far away. Distant, even though they where within arms reach from where I was standing. They had stripped us down so that we where naked, the embarrassment I was feeling right now was worse than moment I had experienced growing up.

Holding my hands down to cover myself from the eyes of any of the scientists in the room. Feeling them pull a collar around my neck clasping it closed tightly around my neck. Pushing this yellow dust on my skin giving me a slight burning feeling, yet it wasn't enough to cause any pain.

Without anytime to get use to the burning sensation of the powered they began to spray me with bone chilling cold water forcing my body to start shaking. When they where done spraying me down with the ice water, they injected me with something. This needle bigger than any needle I had ever seen on the Ark.

They had begun to check out my mouth looking at my teeth, holding my mouth open before they shoved a steel tube into my mouth, I could feel myself gagging as they forced it further into my mouth. Shooting whatever it was right down my throat, I wanted to vomit. This amount of pain was horrible, was this, the fate in store for Rayne if I failed?

Rayne. She was the only thing getting me through this horrible pain, through this torture. If it wasn't for her I don't know how much longer I was going to be able to take this anymore. I felt them inject me with something else shooting more pain throughout my body. Pushing me by the collar they moved me to another area of this room forcing me to stand under showerheads as they doused me in boiling water.

I couldn't contain the pain anymore; the screams began to force themselves out of my room. I wanted to say her name, scream to her for help but saying anything in English would give it away that I wasn't a grounder. That would only make it worse for me, is this was the pain they where putting grounders I could only imagine the pain they put our people though.

Staring down at my feet screaming in pain I noticed the blood dripping down my legs towards the drain I was standing on. They where washing all the dirt and blood off me, they thought I was contaminated. Clarke had mentioned they couldn't step outside because everything outside could kill them. The blood only made me think about Rayne and what she was probably going through knowing I still hadn't managed to contact them.

And with Lincoln back into the clutches of these monsters, they wouldn't even know the mission had gotten out of hand. I soon felt rough bristles rubbing against my skin, as they where replaced by a mop feeling against my skin. I couldn't understand why they would do this to another human being.

Rayne's Point of View

Indra and Fio standing before us confusing me I had thought Nova would be here with. Indra had convinced Octavia that Nova was taking her on as a second. They brought us outside the sun barely up in forming us both that we where supposed to meet with Clarke and her Mother who where on their way back.

Back up protection detail; Indra hated Clarke she had told Octavia and I about it during dinner last night. Octavia told her of her idea to put me into the role that Clarke had forced herself into. Indra thought it was a great idea, mainly because of her hate for our people, and realizing that neither Octavia nor I identified with them anymore.

Once we walked outside we saw that Nova was standing there in full leather and fur garb much like Lexa and Indra wore. Her hair looked a lot like Lexa's had the last time we saw her. She stood there with a crazy sword into her hands, "Octavia of the Sky People, you're training begins now." Nova said to her.

Octavia had stayed up all night with me teaching me their language. Or at least the amount she knew from what Lincoln had taught her. Octavia turned to me smiling at me before she rushed off to follow Nova who looked at Indra. "We'll see you at the meeting point, we must make sure… Clarke… makes it back her safely like the Commander requested." Nova spat out showing no joy in Clarke's name.

Indra turned to me and tossed my swords at me, before she and a few other grounders had began to run into the forest with me hot on their trail. They started showing me how to camouflage myself in the woods, how to climb the trees.

We had almost reached the meet up point seeing Octavia and Nova in the tree line across from us, they where scouting the area. Octavia didn't even look like herself anymore. Black paint all over her face a bow now on her back as she and Nova climbed up into the trees as we could hear the horses coming towards us.

Indra nudged me motioning for me to look ahead of me; I could see two men lying on the ground with rifles in front of them as they had them aimed out towards where I saw Clarke was now dismounting her horse. "Flank them, go around the back and wait for the signal to attack." She told me.

I quietly made my way around them in the woods with waiting on the other side of the brush watching them aim their guns at Clarke. It would be so easy to just let them do what they wanted, stop this inner camp battle. Work on what we really needed to do get our people out. Clarke was just in this constant struggle for control and authority. Hell if we were still on the Ark she would probably be working her way towards being the next Chancellor.

However I sat there and waited, watching them as Octavia joined me at my side. "Ready for this?" She asked me as I nodded. I looked up and found Indra's eyes on me giving me the signal I was waiting for. Her archer was about to shoot the gunner. The grounder took his shot shooting the man directly in the neck killing him almost instantly, however the man's death twitch caused him to fire off a shot anyway.

I took my signal rushing out of the brush along side Octavia as she bolted past me trying to punch the man in the face as he as he knocked her to the ground. I continued to make my way towards the man pulling out one of my two short swords noticing Indra and the men and emerged from the forest.

"No." She stopped them. "Her kill."

I ran towards the man noticing he was about to try and knock me down like he had Octavia when she kicked his knee out from behind forcing him down to his knees. The man was in pain however I wrapped my arm around his neck holding the sword close to his about to strike him where he was.

He pulled him self from my grasp turning around to fight me again when Octavia jerked upwards severing one of his outer oxygen tubes. The hissing from the tubes merited a smile from Indra who was now joined by Nova. I stood up pulling Octavia with me; ready to do the honors of ending our enemies' life as Octavia held the man in place as he was trying to fight for the tube she severed. I held my sword to his neck ready to kill him when Indra egged me on, "Finish it."

"Rayne, Octavia. No." Clarke interrupted us.

"No?" I questioned her.

"He's from Mount Weather. We need to keep him alive. Check to see if he's got a patch kit." She commanded us.

"Why don't you get off your high horse and check it yourself." I snapped at her, Octavia chuckled as Clarke gave her a dirt look. "I'll do it." She offered.

Clarke kept eye contact with me, "Well, you're going to need to hurry up and get him back to the camp, Clarke. Your guest is going to die if he stays out here any longer." I told her as Octavia rushed back towards us holding something in her hands.

"Looks, like Clarke and Lexa were the targets." Octavia told me handing me the pictures to look at dumbfounding Clarke.

"Making friends everywhere you go it seems." I told Clarke as I looked through the photo's before handing them to Clarke.

"We have to warn the Commander." Indra called from behind me.

"Send our fastest riders, it's the only way to get the message to her quickly." I answered her as she smiled, a proud smile as Clarke stayed on her horse still looking confused at where the leadership has turned.

"She's right, send our fastest riders to Tondc. Now!" Indra shouted at her men.

Octavia and I returned to the camp after Clarke and the others had, Octavia looked at me and took me by the arm off towards where Raven was to see if Bellamy had contacted us yet. Walking into the ship Octavia sighed; looking over at her I stopped her in the hallway.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Nova is leaving to find Murphy… Fio told her he would train me till she returns, She told me if I wasn't ok with Fio training me that I would have to go with her." She told me.

I arched my brow looking at her, "Go with her?"

"Yea she said if she's right Murphy and Jaha are going down a dangerous path and she wouldn't let Murphy die." She told me as she started walking again.

Once inside engineering we told Raven what happened out in the field. She asked us to stay here at the radio while she left to go check out the Mountain Man that Clarke had brought back. Her excitement towards Clarke dwindling each day since she had killed Finn.

"Maybe just deal with Fio for now let her go get Murphy… I mean at least if Fio is training you. It's like Indra is training you." I told her, "So we'd be learning together."

"I kind of want to go with her, Ray. I think I would learn so much more out there with her than doing random fights here with Fio."

I lowered my head sighing; "Well O', you know I support everything you choose to do. Just give it some more thought all right? You have till the nightfall to deiced." I told her as she nodded. "Exactly, by then we should know if Bellamy is ok." She said.

"Yea, both of them." I told her. "You should go check on Raven make sure she isn't killing Clarke." She chuckled as I nodded leaving to go to the medical tent.

I walked in just as Raven was leaving, nodding at her as she rushed past me mumbling something about Clarke and an Airlock. Walking in I looked over at Indra who was standing over one of the clan's warriors. "Indra?" I said softly to her as I walked further into the room and over so that I was at her side.

She took out a small blade showing me as she put the blade under one of the braids in his hair. "Your fight is over." She told his body as she handed me the braid. "We will burry this for him whenever we return to Tondc." She told me, "It is to show our respects to his sacrifice."

I nodded to her, showing her that I understood her. This must have been another lesson, a lesson of mercy or compassion to the dead or dying. I had heard Lexa and Anya say it before; it had to have meant more than I thought I did.

Indra lead me towards where Abby and Clarke where standing next to the man from Mount Weather. She looked down at the body of the man before back up at Clarke "A killer lives while a warrior dies?" She asked her.

"This is your way?" She asked again.

"I'm sorry, Indra." Clarke told her softly. "But he can help us beat Mount Weather."
"How Clarke by lying to us? Don't be stupid; he's a solider he knows what to say to us. Stop thinking this is a game, you're playing with lives Clarke." I snapped at her as her mother just looked at me.

"She's right, let me make him talk." Indra demanded.

"No. We're not torturing him. Also, I don't think this is a game Rayne." She explained to me.

"You must considering you sent Bellamy to his death like it didn't matter, because if it doesn't effect or matter to you it must mean it doesn't matter. You keep stepping on people like you are Clarke, you wont have anyone left at all." I told her as I turned around and moved so that I was slightly behind Indra.

Abby took a deep breath talking before Clarke could answer me; "Clarke is right Indra, He might just talk because we saved his life."

Indra chuckled; "Rayne is right, you both think this is a game." She snapped. "You people are so weak. What the Commander sees with you people I have no idea it's a worthless treaty." She said as she looked at me nodding me to follow her. "Maybe let someone with guts and the cutthroat to lead your people. Who can make the choices you're to ashamed and scared to make." With that Indra and I left the tent.

"Nova and Octavia had told me of their plans to have you take Clarke's place in our Commander's eyes." She said suddenly.

"Not that I want her dead, she is going to get herself and a lot of people killed if she keeps doing what she's doing. She thinks she is a leader because he parents where." I told her.

"She is a child; she plays tough, and has no idea about consequences. Her childish ways are turning many of our people on our own Commander…" Indra told me.

Bellamy's Point of View

My whole body was shivering, the entire room was freezing. I could hear the cries and moans of others around me as I slowly opened my eyes. Looking around myself I could tell I was inside a cage, I guess I must have passed out while they where preparing me for the cage.

Looking around the room I noticed just how many people where locked up in this room, there had to be hundreds of them in here. Each grounder in a different state of malnutrition or death, which was when I noticed the two of them. Hanging from their feet suspended by chains with tubes sticking out of them.

This was worse than the fate my people where about to go through, that could be Rayne hanging there with Octavia next to her. I felt my heart sink into the pit of my stomach. Sitting up in my cage using the cage to help me up from the position they had tossed me into. Instantly I began to look for a way out of here rattling the lock, pushing on the door.

Many of the young grounders in the room had started to move so they could see where the noise was coming from. I needed to get out of here; I had to continue my mission to save Rayne from this. The girl next to me said something in their grounder language, something I didn't quite understand.

"I can't – I don't understand you." I told her calmly as I looked over at the girl. She looked weak in appearance, yet she looked strong. Almost like she was almost pretending to be sicker than she was. Interesting tactic.

"Sky Person?" She asked me moving quickly to the grate closer to me.

I nodded to her keeping my head low as her face grew with rage as she spat on me. I sighed heavily wiping her spit off of my face. "I take it no one has told you we're not enemies anymore." I told her coldly.

She moved away from me glaring at me as she leaned sat back in her cage again. "I need to get out of this cage, this would have been so much easier if Nova just came with me." I sighed to myself.

"Nova?" A grounder asked as many other grounders sat up in their cages trying to get a better look at me. "She sent you to take us home?" I heard another say.

"And then what?" the girl in the cage next to me asked.

"And then I'll kill everyone in this mountain." I told her as she rolled her eyes, "How do you know Nova?" She asked me.

I pushed against the cage again, "Her brother is with my sister, and Nova is part of the reason our people are at peace. She is probably one of the kindest of your people." I told her.

"Appearances." She chuckled, "She needs to answer the calling." She told me. "She was supposed to come with me but our… leader…" I said not really sure I liked Clarke having that title. "Convinced your Commander to have her stay."

"Good, the Mountain Men would have killed her. They wouldn't even have put her in here with us." She told me as I nodded, she was probably right about that. The Mountain Men knew Nova; it would have been a greater risk had she come with me.

Sitting there in the cage I continued to push against the cage trying to open it much to the girls protests for me to stop and be quiet. "You have to stop." She told me.

"I have to get out, if I don't do what I came here for, I need to get back to my girlfriend." I told her, why I told her I have no idea. "Here they come, you want to get back to her be quiet." She told me as I turned around looking at her.

I pushed on the lock again "Quiet." She hushed me.

"Yea. This one'll do." The guard said as they reached her cage, I sat there watching her crawl backwards as much as she could.

Watching the fear grow in her eyes at what they where going to put her through again, I began imagining that it was Rayne. I wouldn't want to see her in that pain and I know she wouldn't want me to let a girl die the way these people where dying. I pushed my feet hard against the cage causing it to rattle as I screamed and made grunting noises.

"We got us a live one." The guard said as they moved away from the girls' cage and came towards mine. They began to unlock my cage shocking me with the stick again. Forcing me to cough and retch in horrible pain.

The guard shocked me again when I had tried moving forward to get out of the cage so that the doctor could inject me with something causing my skin to burn. My eyes instantly grew heavy and I felt myself slowly begin to fall over as I felt myself fall asleep.

Suddenly I felt like I was gasping for air, my heart was pounding so hard it was causing me pain. I could feel the sweat beading down my face my eyes fluttering open as I had begun to panic trying to figure out what was going on. I realized my hands where chained together and I had tubes coming out of my chest like the grounders I saw earlier. Looking up I noticed a pale girl standing near me her hands pulled up into her sleeves as she looked at me curiously.

"Who are you?" She asked as she knelt down next to me. "You're from the Ark, aren't you?"

Looking at her and knowing she had even mentioned the Ark, I knew she had to be Maya the girl Jasper was into. Clarke and Nova had mentioned her, differently but they had still mentioned her. Nova had said she was trust worthy, Clarke just claimed she was up to something.

"Yea…" I said slowly. "Do you know Jasper?" She asked me excitedly.

"Maya?" I asked her to be sure that she was in fact Jasper's girlfriend. At least I knew I had at least one alley here in here besides my friends, this mission would probably end up being at least somewhat successful.
