Rayne's Point of View

The sun had finally rose up in the sky as I looked over at the others around me, Abby was missing, my father was missing and likely dead. Clarke was somewhere in the forest with the Commander, Bellamy was I would hope to say alive. I clutched my stomach again feeling as the pain began to rip through it.

"Are you ok Ray?" Octavia asked me as she moved closer to me, the gunshots still ringing through the air.

"I just feel sick, I mean look at what's going on around us." I explained to her. "That's all that's going on with you? You look pale." She said to me again.

"She pales from blood lost, Sky girl." The young second behind me responded to her. Apart of me wanted to agree with her, I was losing blood from my bullet wound but something told me that wasn't at all the cause to my illness.

"We can't wait anymore, Rayne what do we do?" The young grounder male asked me.

I had started to feel dizzy, I couldn't hold it in anymore leaning over my head next to one of the bins near me I threw up into the dirt and sad. I feeling a hand slowly move onto my back rubbing me gently I turned noticing Nyko they're looking at me. "You must rest, the Commander would not want you risking your life in such a fragile state." He told me.

"I'm not fragile, I'm just not used to bombs going off around me or being shot." I told him as he nodded, "As you say," He lowered his head as I wiped the corners of my mouth.

""Our people are dying down there." I called out to everyone still capable around me. "Rayne, look." Octavia motioned for me to look,

"If we can get to the crater, we can tunnel in from the side." She explained moving to move around me as I stopped her, "We will have the sniper to worry about." I told her as she sighed.

"There's no cover." The girl yelled, "We have to make cover." I told her, "Octavia is right we do need to get over there, the sniper wont be able to see us."

"I'll go first, I'm already hit we can't afford to lose ay of you." I told them as I began to move as the male held my good shoulder back. "No, I'll go it. You are important, I am just a second." I arched my brow.

"How am I important?" I asked him, "You are Indra's second." He informed me.

I watched as he stood up about to run for the crater mindlessly the sniper shooting at him causing him to fall backwards. I looked on with shocked as Octavia tried to get him to crawl back towards the cover and us. "Now that we've gotten the blind heroics off our chest can we work on a more planned option?" I said as the boy lay there breathing heavily.

"Another bad idea from the Sky Girl?" Caris added.

"You seem to forget I am also from the Sky, Caris. Show her respect at least she's trying."

She lowered her head, I picked up the alcohol that he'd dropped I looked over at Octavia before whistling at her and tossing it for her to catch. She looked at me confused as to why I'd thrown it at her, "What's this for? Liquid courage?" She asked me.

"I was thinking we could start a fire." I told her.

Octavia looked at me as I nodded to her before she threw the bottle over her head having it land in one of the fires nearby causing a huge explosion to burst into the air. Filling the entire area with thick grey smoke, wasn't sure if I should tell Octavia she just drank basic fuel or not but I wasn't even really sure if it mattered or not.

"Go now!" I called them as the girl looked to me, "You're coming with us, right?" She asked as Octavia rushed around the corner and towards the crater.

"No, I have to stay here with Indra. I'm of no use to anyone till my wound is properly taken care of… go and listen to Octavia." I told them as they both followed her down into the crater.

"They listen to you as if you are a clan leader." I heard Indra say to me, moving closer to her side I shrugged, "I don't know why they do, Indra I'm barely an adult." I told her.

"You are a leader, one of the Leaders of the Sky Clan." She smirked.

"Would your people really accept us as the thirteenth clan?" I asked her.

She had begun to cough roughly, "I think if you are to lead it, the Commander might consider it." She told me as I began to feel that vomit return to my throat.

"You pale with sickness." Indra said, "I haven't been feeling well for the past few days, it's been getting worse." I told her honestly.

"I remember when I was pregnant with my child." She told me as my eyes widen with fear. "I'm not pregnant." I told her.

She laughed at me, "Do not live in denial, Rayne. A great leader does what is needed of her." She told me, "Your child lives to see the end of this war, and is presented as a girl you may have the future Commander growing within you. They were all children born from a war." She told me as I shook my head.

"Indra, I can't be pregnant…" I told her feeling myself grow weak in the knees, which made me thankful to be sitting.

"We will have Nyko examine you before we leave for war. This will not be up for further discussion." She told me. I nodded to her as I looked to where Octavia and the other two seconds had gone too.

Marcus's Point of View

I could barely feel any part of my body after the cave in, Abby had tried to save me. She did her best to try and tell me what was going on but both of us knowing our only children where out there. That was enough to take my mind off the horrid injury that I had on my leg, before I was always ok with her being down here because Bellamy had promised to watch her. However now, she's out there alone and I didn't know if she was safe.

I could feel light over my eyelids as I had continued to hold them shut. I could hear Abby saying my name trying to make sure that I was still alive. I groaned in pain slowly turn my head opening my eyes slowly looking over at her, "Oh, I'm so cold." I told her as she lowered her eyes from me.

"I'm right here." She told me as I continued to shiver, "I'm right here." Did the cold mean an entire day had passed again? Had it really been that long since the bomb had taken out of Tondc? "I'm ok." I told her softly.

"I'm sorry, Marcus." She had finally said. "I'm so sorry." She repeated.

I tried to smile through the pain, "It's not your fault, Abby." I offered her.

She shook her head, "It is my fault. She's my daughter." She told me as I scoffed.

"As Rayne is mine, she's done things that are questionable too Abby that's no reason to apologize." I told her, she just sat there with tears filling her eyes as she sat knees to her chest. "What are you talking about then?" I asked her.

"She knew." She told me as I lowered my eyes from her, "Rayne knew too." I told her as she shook her head.

"Knew and tried to save people, Clarke escaped alone with the Commander before the attack." She added.

"She did what she had to." I tried telling her.

"No, what Clarke did was horrible." She snapped, "At least Rayne is being heroic."

"Rayne is also going down a rather dark path, I hate admitting it but as much as we need the grounders they are taking our daughters from us." I told her.

"How could Clarke do something like this?" She asked me.

"Because they grew up on the Ark. They both learned what to do from us." I told her, adding Rayne to it always seemed to show Abby she wasn't alone.

"Clarke let this happen." Abby seethed. "She could have done what your daughter did and tried stopping it."

"They both made their choice, like executing people for stealing medicine and food…" I started to say referring to Rayne being locked away for stealing the medicine for that little girl.

I had pushed Abby so hard to keep Rayne close to her and in an honorable career so she'd marry a good man, what I hadn't expected from her was for her to be rebellious like I was at her age. "Or like sucking the air from the lungs of 300 parents so they could save their children.

I heard Abby soft softly, "Like floating the man you love…to save your people."

"Rayne and Clarke are just like us…" she breathed out softly.

"They are, they are the best parts of us. Clarke will always have Rayne watching her back and Rayne will always have Clarke's friendship." I reminded her.

"We have to answer for our sins, Abby." I told her, I knew how Rayne and Clarke would react if they knew we died in this attack. More so because of all the effort that Rayne had put into trying to get me to leave Tondc.

"After everything we've done do we even deserve to survive?" She asked me, as I looked over at her the discomfort filling my body.

"We owe it to our girls to try Abby." I told her softly.

Bellamy's Point of View

I had spent the pas ten minuets trying to climb into the room the kids where in in hopes to get them out of there before the Presidents son broke in there to get them all. When I felt a shock run through my body looking towards the shoot door, I could hear voices from behind the hatch.

Pushing the door down I looked over at them all as they all stood there in shock staring at me. "Bellamy." Monty said as I nodded firmly at him before turning to Maya. "Get her in here." I told them when they took to long I shook my head, "Come on!" I said more forcefully.

I moved back once she had made her way towards the hatch to climb in, once she was in she slid all the way to the bottom with me behind her. I hadn't realized Jasper was along side us till the smoke cleared at the bottom and I saw him pull off her mask allowing her to breath oxygen again.

I watched as the two stood there holding each other in arms, I began to look around ushering them to move out of the way for the rest of the kids to come down. "We gotta make this quick." I told them.

'Decontamination Complete.' The automated voice alerted us.

"All clear." I told them hopping out of the container we where all standing in. Maya was still trying to catch her breath as I helped her out of it too followed by Jasper.

After hearing one of the doors close near by the three of us turned around quickly seeing that it was Maya's father. "Dad, what are you doing here?" She asked him.

As he stepped closer to his daughter he smiled at her softly, "What your mother would have done." He told her, "Come here." He told her calmly as he pulled her into a hug.

I looked over at Jasper as he moved towards me pulling me into a hug as well, "Hey, listen to me." I told him as I pulled away from my friend.

"Clarke and Rayne are coming with an army of Grounders." I told him as he looked at me shocked. "What?" He questioned.

"We have to keep everyone safe and protected until then." Jasper soon began to laugh, "Don't tell me Finn finally got his peace talks?" He looked up at me happily.

Not sure what to tell him about that entire situation that we had with the Grounders now. "Something like that."

I stood there awkwardly looking over at my friend not sure of what to say to him about the situation. "Come on. We got a lot of work to do." I sighed looking over at them as we heard the hatch above us open.
