Warm. Sated and deliciously sore.

Those was the first thoughts that registered in Emma's brain when she swam up from deep sleep and

settled into a light doze. She was so perfectly warm, she wanted to stay there forever. She cracked her eyes open just a touch and squinted to see the clock. 4:10 a.m. She gave a little sound of pleasure at the early hour, ecstatic that she needn't be up for at least a couple of hours.

Now that she'd taken stock of her own body, she concentrated on the one beneath her. Regina's

She was on her back, cradling Emma against her side, breathing the deep, even rhythm of

somebody fully asleep. One arm was wrapped around Emma's body, holding her close. The other was

flung to the side, the ex-mayor's hand relaxed. Emma studied Regina's beautiful hands, a flash of them on and in her body hit Emma so hard, a small gasp pushed from her lips.

The heat from Regina's centre still radiated and Emma could feel it against her skin. As she

mentally counted all the ways that her life had changed since she met the woman lying in her arms, the feelings she evoked in her everytime they made love to each other , her fingers seemed to act all on their own, travelling gently lower, to find Regina still wet and swollen. Exploration occurred all on its own, Emma alerted only when Regina's breathing changed. As if shocked, Emma's gaze jerked down to her hand, then up to the brunette's face. Brown eyes captured hers.

"I, I'm sorry," Emma stuttered, pulling her hand away. But Regina caught her by the wrist and held her hand in place.

"Don't be," Regina whispered. "And don't stop."

She lifted her body slightly so she was positioned more above Regina, hovering, looking down at

her. With one leg, she pulled the older woman's to the side to give herself better access. Her touch no longer tentative, she rubbed her fingers through Regina's wetness, eliciting a gasp as she set up a rhythm.

The brunette's eyes drifted shut.

Emma stopped all movement until they opened again.

"Look at me, please." Emma whispered. She didn't want Regina thinking about anything but her touch. No Evil Queens. No Henry's memories. No sorrow or anguish or whatever fucked up life she'd been through. Nothing but the two of them and the love that swirled between them, the wonderful connection they shared.

Regina nodded, her breath becoming more ragged as their bodies began to rock as one.

"Good." The word was a feather-light breath against the brunette's lips before Emma's mouth took

them in a bruising, passionate kiss that ratcheted up the heat in the bed by several degrees. Emma

picked up the pace, pushing inside Regina's body and nearly crying out at the hot flesh that surrounded

her fingers. A few short moments after that, Regina wrenched their mouths apart and crushed the pillow over her face as the orgasm ripped through her, tearing a sound from her throat that began as a cry of ecstasy and turned into a wrenching sob of happiness and contentment.

Emma was surprised, and she wrapped Regina up in her arms, murmuring to her, pressing tender

kisses to her temple, her forehead, Emma's own eyes welling. "Hey...what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"I'm sorry. I'm just...I'm so happy. Last night, this whole night has been so perfect and then you proposed and I..."

"Hey, hey. Listen to me. Last night was perfect and I know me proposing took you by surprise. It kinda took me by surprise too but all that doesn't matter Regina. I love you and I wanna spend the rest of my life by your side, whatever the title..."

"But..."

Bringing her hand up to Regina's lips, she silenced her then leant in and kissed her softly, "I know" she whispered.

Five Hours Earlier…

"Regina?"

"Mmmh…"

"Marry me?"

There was a brief moment of silence then.

"What?!" Regina sat up with a start

"Marry me,"

"Oh! I heard you!"

"But you said what so I thought you didn't."

"You…you want me to marry you?" Regina stuttered.

"That's what I said,"

"Why?"

"Why. Why what?"

"Why do you want me to marry you?"

Emma flinched and then blinked rapidly. "Because I love you! What do you mean why? Have I been the only one paying attention to what's been happening between us these past few months, this evening?!" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Regina sat up, looked at the blonde and sighed, "I love you too, you know that. But us loving each other might not be a good enough reason to get married Emma. Not when you are planning on marrying the evil queen."

""You're not the evil queen anymore and even if you were, I wouldn't care what anyone thinks. I love you and that is reason enough for me to want to marry you but if it isn't enough for you then I'll give you a few more. I want to marry you because I want to spend the rest of my life by your side, I want to devote my life to making you happy. I want to give Henry a happy and complete family and what better way to do that than both his moms getting married and living together?"

And then Emma reached out and stroked Regina's cheek with her thumb, "And because when I'm with you, not only am I ridiculously happy, but I'm content. I feel safe and sure, like it's the way things are supposed to be. Like we are meant to be. And when I'm not with you, I'm waiting and counting the hours until the next time I will be. So being apart isn't enough for me anymore, and I don't want to do that anymore. I want to be able to have a crappy day at work or a good day with Ruby or my parents and be able to come home and share that with you and for you to do the same. I want my days to begin and end with you. I know that might freak you out, but I want to see you and be with you more often. I need to see you more and not to mention you're the hottest woman to ever walk on this planet and... oh my god could I just shut up now? Look, Regina, we will be fine. You, Henry and my parents are the only people that matter to me and from what I've seen, they seem to be pretty on board with our relationship so it's all good. I won't let anyone or anything get between us, do you hear me?"

The brunette nodded her affirmation, then sighed "Oh…My God,"

"Please say something,"

"Oh My God,"

"Other than that!"

"I…I, YES! Yes I'll marry you!" Regina screamed as she launched herself at the blonde.

"Oh! My God! Regina, Really?!"

"Yes, really. What did you think I was going to say?"

"I don't know what I thought but I was hoping…Oh My….I love you…I love you," Emma said between the small kisses she was placing all over Regina's face. "Wait, if you were going to say yes this whole time, why did you just put me through all that!? You almost killed me!"

"Did you really think I'd make it so easy for you, Miss Swan?" Regina smirked playfully at the blonde then her face grew serious almost immediately. " I love you and I want to spend the rest of our lives together with our son no matter what anyone else thinks. It's our turn to be happy Emma and I'll be damned if I let anyone take that away from us."

"I love you!" Emma smiled and opened her arms wide as an invitation for the other woman. Regina leant into them and sighed at the wondrous familiarity. They hugged tightly, neither able to verbalize the familiar tenderness and calmness that enveloped them. Regina relaxed in the blonde's embrace and then they laid back down on the bed. Emma placed a kiss on her hair and held on tight to the woman she loved with all of her, a woman she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. A woman who would soon be her wife, the love of her life. She let a lone tear fall down her cheek. She was getting everything she ever wanted in her life, everything she ever dreamed of and it was all thanks to her, despite the hardships and heartbreaks Regina had been through, she still found it in her heart to love like it was the only thing she knew how to do. She deserved some happiness too. There and then, with the love of her life in her arms, she made a promise to herself, that she'd dedicate the rest of her life to give her just that. To making her so happy that she'd forget all the screwed up stuff she'd been through.

"We have to find a way to fix Henry's memories soon," Regina said.

"I know. We'll deal with it starting tomorrow. Now let's get some sleep because I have to be up early to go and check on him. He's been feeling neglected since we got here, which He hasn't refrained himself from telling me. I swear he gets more like you with every passing day, I'm worried how I'll be able to deal with the two of you together once we get married."

"You're the savior, I'm sure you'll find a way." Regina smirked playfully.

Emma lifted her head and gazed down into the brunette's eyes. Then she straightened her hair and drew her thumb across the perfect hairline. "Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you two as my family no matter what."

"I know..I love you." Regina whispered.

Tenderly stroking her cheek, the younger blonde kissed Regina's forehead again and again. "I love YOU! Do you wanna..."

"You needn't ask, darling. For you anytime!"

"God! Woman. Are you trying to kill me or something?"

"Death by orgasms? My love, there are worse ways to go!" Regina jocked as she moved her body to lie on top of Emma's.

THE PRESENT

"Thank you," the blonde said and she knew that she'd never meant anything more than she meant what she was saying right then.

"For what?" Regina replied uncertainly.

She didn't know what to say that would reassure Regina of her love for her or how grateful to her she was so she just held her, held on to her never wanting to let go-to show her what her words really meant. And she wanted to make love to her again, to shower her with kisses until she was too exhausted to do it anymore. She would do all that but right then she went with the most urgent need. She looked into Regina's beautiful brown eyes and said, "For making me the happiest woman alive. I don't know how I ever got so lucky but know that I love you. I love you, Regina. I love you with all of my heart."

"Kiss me," she murmured, the heat in her eyes burning Emma's soul.

She kissed her. She kissed her and kissed her and kissed her. And after they finished making love again, they fell asleep, neither of them waking until the next morning. The light sipping through the curtains made them both sit up like they'd been slapped. They stared at each other for a few seconds and then bright smiles broke on both their faces.

"Good morning my love" the brunette said first.

"Good morning future wife. How did you sleep?"

"Exceptionally well, thank you." She leaned in and planted a chaste kiss on the blonde's lips. "Is it time?"

"Yeah, but I'll see you later, right? Have dinner with us so we can break the news to everyone."

"Okay, I can't pass up the chance to see the look on your parent's faces when the find out, especially your mother." Regina smiled.

Emma chuckled as she stood up from the bed to find her discarded clothing from the previous night and started to get dressed.

"I love you," Regina said, grabbed Emma's hand and pulled her back to bed.
