Bellamy's Point of View

Once I had stood up and gotten use to the fact that I had survived the blast from the acid fog room. I had started to crawl back in through the vents making my way back towards the Harvest room. I had mad Echo a promise that I would help her and her people get out of their cages. We needed the army on the inside to help with getting out people out, I wasn't about to miss out on that chance.

Once getting into the room I held out my gun just in case of any Mountain Men being in the room. Once the coast the clear I quickly pulled out the key and made my way towards the cage that Echo was curled up in sticking the key in, turning it and gaining her attention as she turned to me.

"Get up. It's time to go." I told her, as she seemed to almost smirk. "I told you I'd come back fro you."

"Come on out." I told her as she moved closer to me hopping into my arms so I could help her down and out of the cage. "Our people are marching on Mount Weather right now."

Quickly I moved towards the next cage unlocking it to help the next grounder to get out of his cage, once I had made a motion to get closer to him he had flung his hands in the air trying to bat me away. "Hey. It's ok, we're getting you out." I told him.

"Slow down." Echo told me pushing me away from the cage, "They just bled him." She explained.

"Listen to me. There's an army inside this room and I need you to help me get them ready to fight. Can you do that?" I asked her, watching her stand there nodding slowly to my question.

"All right. Start with him." I told her as I moved to the next cage to unlock it, she could help the grounders out, I wasn't about to get myself hurt trying to help any of these people.

As I had begun to unlock the cages the grounders had started shouting and moaning, banging against the cages loudly out of excitement to leave their confinements. Turning slightly looking around at all the grounders the sound only getting louder I stood up looking back at Echo. "Too much noise." I shouted to her.

I knelt back over as Echo moved to the edge of the room and began shouting something in grounder to the rest of her people, almost instantly after she finished talking they all went extremely silent. So whatever it was that she said, worked. She quickly made her way back over to me as I stood there slightly shocked at how quickly she had made them listen to her.

"Ok. How do we do this?" She asked me. Moving away from the cage slightly. "There's an army outside going for the main door. When they get it open, all hell will break loose." I started to explain to her.

"That is the signal for my friends to come here, and –" I stopped speaking when the P.A. began to speak with the voice of Cage, the new president.

"My fellow citizens, this is your president speaking. I have news to share with you that will change all of our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home. It's kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done these things for one reason – so that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today.

"He's going public." I said to myself out loud, I could feel my heart sink into my chest. I didn't know what it meant for those helping my friends. Did this mean the people hiding my friends would keep to what they had promised?

"Before my friend Lorelai Tsing, was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this Mountain. She found a cure. It was in their bone marrow."

He had continued his speech of destruction and hate towards my people; I put the key into Echo's hand. "Here. I'll be back." I told her as I quickly made my way towards the vent. "Where are you going?" She asked following me to the door, a few of the freed grounders making their way behind her expressions of confusion etched onto their faces.

I stopped walking for her to catch up to me as I looked directly into her eyes, "He's trying to get his people to turn on each other. They'll find my friends. I have to bring them here now. I'll send them in groups. You get your people, ready to go, but you wait for me to come back, do you understand?" I asked her as she turned for a moment to look at her people before her eyes returned to mine.

She nodded at me following me as I had made my way back to the vent, "Wait!" She called to me pulling me back by the shoulder.

Looking at me with pain in her eyes, reminding me so much of Rayne's expression every time I had left her to go be a hero, left on the whim or idea of Clarke, and I could only imagine this would have been her expression when I told her I was leaving to come into this place. "Thank you." Echo said to me softly.

"You free your people. Protect mine when they get here. We can thank each other when we're all outside." I told her as she nodded.

I moved again to get into the vent when she took hold of my shoulder again. "Your woman, you'll have to introduce me to her when we get out. I'd be interested in meeting the woman that made you fight this hard to get us all out despite our differences." She told me with a kind smile, something I wasn't expecting from a grounder.

"Rayne would love that." I told her before climbing into the vent making my way along to find my friends.

"This has been the dream of our people since the bombs, but to reach it now, I need your help. The 44 criminals that irradiated level 5, killing 15 of our people are now keeping us from that dream. Although we've repaired our home, we can never replace the lives that were so viciously taken from us, and as hard as it is to believe, there are those among us—"

He had continued to lecture his people, forcing them into an action against people who where literally just children. Why didn't he comment on that? Why not tell your people you where kidnapping and harvesting someone's sons and daughters for their bone marrow and killing them.

"Who would help the people who did this, and I am speaking to you now. If you truly want to end the blood treatments once and for all, then the 44 murderers you're now hiding are the key to doing that. You have one hour to turn them in without punishment. After that, we'll be forced to consider you enemies of the state."

He was basically threatening them at this point, telling them if they didn't give up the kids that they would be killed. I could only imagine what their form of torture was for their people. Our death sentence on the Ark was always floating people, would he really throw them out the door and let them die out there like that? That would be more painful than anything the grounders would do to their people, or even us to ours.

"I'm asking you, please do what's right for your people, our people, so that we can all take our rightful place on the ground. We're almost home."

He had finished his speech; I tried my best to move even quicker through the network of air ducts. I needed to get to them as fast as I could. I could only imagine the fear they where all experiencing after hearing that same announcement I had heard. They where no longer safe, even with the people who had told us they would protect them.

I had reached the hallway next to Maya's fathers place alerting him to what was going on, he told me right away that we would need to head off the guards in the hall before they reached the elevators to take the kids to the next level. He shoved me into another vent as he waited at the end of the hallway, and from inside the vent I could hear them coming down the hall.

"Out of the way, Vincent." A guard said.

"That's my daughter." I heard the man say his voice growing sad. "Dad, don't" I heard Maya cry out.

Knowing Maya was there meant that Jasper was also in the hallway with her, and I wasn't sure how to feel about that. Jasper had shown such a big amount of growth in his character. He has become a leader to our people in the mountain and considering how he was in our camp, I had to admit I was incredibly impressed with who he's become.

"Quiet. She's been aiding and abetting the outsiders. You need to get out of the way." The guard said again.

"I won't let you take her, Paul." Vincent said.

"Listen carefully. We've got orders. She knows where they're hiding. Now step aside. I'm not gonna ask you again." 'Paul' said to him.

"If you want her, you got to go through me." Vincent told him again.

"Dad, please. They'll kill you." Maya begged.

"Don't make me do this, Vincent." The guard told him.

"Sorry, Paul." Vincent told the man. I waited as planned and once the guard had walked into my line of sight I shot him directly into the neck, which wasn't intentional but it killed him.

I watched as Vincent quickly rushed towards me moving to tear the vent off the wall. Hearing fighting going on outside as I moved to climb out of the vent system aiming my gun at the next guard, looking to see as Miller had subdued the man. Fox and Maya glued to the one side of the wall with Jasper standing behind them. I had honestly thought there would be more of them.

Once outside of the shafts I looked at Vincent, "Hey, good job." I said to him as I placed my hand on his shoulder. "Thank you." He said softly to me.

"You too Miller, good job." My friend looked at me smirking at me, "No problem."

I made my way towards Miller unlocking the cuffs on his hands, "You alright there Miller?" I asked him as he shrugged, "Been worse man, been worse."

I moved back towards the corner of the wall looking around the corner to see down both sides of the hallway. "Need to get everyone into the Harvest Chamber. You'll be safer there." I told them.

"Safe in the harvest chamber?" Jasper asked as he made his way towards me his hands now free. "Just trust me." I told him.

"Are the others there?" He asked. "Not yet, you're the first." I told him.

"Monty?" He asked his voice filling with joy, "Monty's with the other group on level 3." Vincent told him, "Don't worry. We moved him after the last sweep."

"You should go there next, I have the rest on this level." I nodded at him. "All right. Go on. Vincent will take you. I won't be long." I said.

I was turning to leave down the hallway when I heard Jasper behind me picking up one of the guns. "Hey! I'm coming with you." He informed me.

"Jasper…" I warned. "No, I promised I'd protect them. That's exactly what I'm going to do." Jasper told me.

"Fine, Let's go." I told him as we both began to leave, "Maya?" I heard Jasper say stopping me in my tracks turning around to look at him Jasper.

"I'll be ok." I heard her say, I was ok with keeping one of them safe, but two of them… I wasn't entirely sure if I could. I watched as the two of them rounded the corner running towards me. "Let's do this!" Jasper told me as we all started running towards the stairs to the next level, and to Monty.

Rayne's Point of View

We had finally set up our camp closer to the Mountain, Clarke had called a few of our people to the tent to explain their plan. Octavia and I obviously not invited because our mission to the mines. Sitting outside of our tent Octavia continued to angrily stare at the fire. "I think we over reacted O'" I began to say as she looked at me quickly.

"No, we didn't. Clarke is a liar, and I'm completely done with her."

I lowered my head; "O' we can't just abandon her we have no clue what they are going to do once we get everyone out… we're going to need to be there for each other." I explained to her.

"Then you can be there for her." She snapped.

"Look, you go with Indra and I'll keep Clarke from herself and the grounders." I told her. "Whatever." She shrugged.

"Octavia, I promise I will get Bellamy back… and if anything happens trust me I will fight to get you back." I told her as she smiled, "At least when you say that I know it's not a complete lie." She sighed.

"I'm gonna go to that meeting, explain to Clarke I want to join her… I'll stay by her side and watch over her." She just nodded as I jogged off bumping into a few of the guard who with them was Monroe.

"Holy Mrs. Blake wasn't expecting to ever see you again." She laughed giving me a hug.

"And you Monroe, off to Clarke and the Commanders meeting?" I asked her, nodding she said yes.

"Welcome, Sky Crew." Lexa announced once we had all arrived in the tent. Clarke looking at me with a confused look on her face as I just nodded to her, mouthing that we would talk after. "Join us."

One of the guards walked closer to Clarke and the Commander with something as he had begun to tell them about it as Clarke's eyes still hadn't left me as if she where still expecting some sort of explanation for me about why I was there.

"Field Commanders, Today's the day we get out people back. The enemy thinks it's safe behind its doors, but it's not. When it realize that, it will fight back…hard. We need to be ready." Lexa explained to everyone in the room.

"This is a rescue mission. We are not here to wipe them out. There are people inside that Mountain that have helped us, children who have nothing to do with this war. We kill their soldiers, their leadership if we have to, but we are there to rescue our people. Is that clear?" Clarke explained at length.

"Then let's begin." She said flatly her eyes landing on me again.

"There are 4 teams. Two of them – at the Dam and in the Mine – are moving into position already." She said causing me to realize that after I had left Octavia. Indra must have gathered them all and left for their post. Even if Clarke told me I couldn't join them I wouldn't be able to go to the mines with the others.

The third—Inside the Mountain – is freeing the grounder prisoners as we speak." She said letting my mind flood with thoughts of Bellamy, I couldn't wait to get my hands on him. The moment he was in my arms I was never going to allow him to leave them again.

"It is our job as the fourth team to keep the eyes of the enemy off them for as long as possible. To do that, we have to be in position here at the main door with our entire army. The Mountain men believe the door can't be opened from the outside, so they leave it unguarded." She continued to explain to everyone.

"Only it can be, and thanks to our source on the inside, now we know how. According to Maya, the electromagnetic locking system has one flaw. When the power goes out, it disengages. That's where Raven's team comes in." She pointed at the Dam on their little model.

"The Mountain's electricity is generated at Philpot Dam. By now, they've taken the turbine room. It's their job to blow the power. Once they do, we blow the lock. There is a catch, a backup generator inside the Mountain. If the lock is still functioning when that backup power kicks in, we'll never get that door open, we'll never get out people back." Her saying those last few words of how we could possibly never see them in there again.

Knowing now that there was the possibility that I would never see Bellamy again, caused my heart to seize in my chest, the air to hitch in my throat, the pain of threatening tears behind my eyes. I don't know what I would do if I never got to see Bellamy again. It worried me because I knew in that pain I would blame Clarke, she was to blame she told him to go. However she didn't know what would happen in her sending him there…

"How much time do we have until the backup power kicks in?" One of the lead guards asked her.

"One minute." Clarke said her eyes on me, basically telling me that within that minute anything was possible.

"Small window." He sighed. "Why don't we just take out the backup generator, too? Bellamy's inside. Have him do it."

"Leaving them without power that long would kill them all, and as I said, that's not the mission." She told them.

"Besides, we lost contact with Bellamy." She said looking at me, her eyes apologizing to me. She looked unsettled by the fact that Bellamy was no longer contactable.

"What? We did? When?" Monroe started to question taking a few steps before me.

"The last time you heard from him was when the Acid Fog was cut off, wasn't it? Do you think they found him out?" I asked her.

She lowered her head looking away from her, "Yes, it was right after he took out the Acid Fog. I think—" Clarke was soon cut off by the commander.

"Bellamy's a warrior. He'll be fine." Lexa attempted to cool the situation down.

"As the Commander said, once the door is open, the shooting will start, and they'll throw everything they have at us, but that's what we want. We want them looking at us because while we're fighting at the front door." She told us all.

"Indra's team will be escorting the prisoners out the back, right through the reaper tunnels. Once all our people are free, they'll sound the retreat. We'll be back home before Mount Weather even knows they're gone, and that's it." She explained for the last time. "That's the plan."

Lexa had begun to walk closer to us looking over at us. "The Mountain has cast a shadow over these woods for too long. They've hunted us, controlled us, and turned us into monsters. That ends today. Thanks to our alliance with the Sky People, the Mountain will fall. As Clarke said, we spare the innocent. As for the guilty…" She started to say.

"Blood must have blood." She said her voice hungry with anger.

The grounders around all my people began to chant it as well, soon all of our own people sounding out the words phonically so that they could chant it as well. "Jus dren just daun!" Everyone soon began to chant around us, my eyes on Clarke as I watch her too start to chant along side everyone else.

You could hear the thundering chants of everyone outside of the tent chanting loudly along side everyone inside the tent. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that this was how things where working. We where all getting along, yet sadly I still had to ask 'For how much longer' was this peace between us going to last.

Once the meeting was over I stayed in the tent looking at the model hoping Clarke would come to talk to me, we had a lot to talk about. We had a lot to get off of our chests and onto the table. I hated that we where fighting with her, but at the same time I hated that she was doing the things she was doing. We needed to fix this friendship while there was still the chance of repairing it.

"Rayne." I heard her say as she moved so that she was standing next to me at the table. "I thought you where going into the mines with Indra and Octavia?" She asked me.

"I was, but I figured I needed to fix things with you instead. I don't feel right going to war, with the chance we could get captured or killed and not having fixed this… we've been friends since your parents took me in… I let my jealousy with Bellamy get in between us." I started to say.

"I let our bickering get in the way of things with our friendship, we have both let so much come in the way of everything we had built up since our Ark days and we need to fix that or neither of us are leaving this tent." I explained.

Clarke smiled at me before nodding; "I should have just come out and told you I didn't like Bellamy, that would have ended that. Shouldn't have spent so much close time with him, I knew how you would fell about it." She explained.

"I'm sorry that I told Lexa about the pregnancy, I just know that I had already messed up by letting Bellamy go into Mount Weather. I wasn't about to let you get hurt so that you and Bellamy would hate me even more." She told me.

"Clarke, I don't hate you. I never have hated you, sure I have been pissed off with things you do, or say, even the way you act but. Hate no, never, Bellamy might be slightly be ticked off with you for the Tondc bomb but, I'll talk to him." I smiled at her as she quickly jolted towards me pulling me into a tight hug.

"Ray, please be by my side tonight." She whispered into my ear.

"Of course." I told her as I pulled away from her, "Let's go get ourselves ready to fight tonight. Get me some badass coat like you." I teased.

"What your jacket from the ark isn't good enough anymore?" She asked me as we both walked out of the tent our arms linked. "Well it sure does have some great memories but considering the amount of holes and tears in the thing, I need a new one. I don't see a mall anywhere near by so…" I laughed.

"Come on, I had a few given to me I have the perfect one for you, leather too… not sure where they got it from but it looks good." She grinned.
