Rayne's Point of View

I stood there next to Clarke as we watched them begin drilling into the door leading into the Mountain, knowing how close I was from Bellamy was hurting my chest. I just wanted to get in there, cut down anyone that got in my way of reaching his arms. The Commander almost seemed like she was upset with Clarke, which strikes me as odd considering Clarke had told me they kissed.

Monroe seemed to finish drilling into the door as she turned around to look at me, than to Clarke. I saw her saying something to Miller's dad, which I could only imagine how badly he had wanted to get in there knowing Miller was possibly still alive inside.

Lincoln moved around Clarke, Lexa and I as he made his way towards the door himself to make sure the new Chief Guard did his part perfectly. Talking with Clarke on the way up here I had learned about Byrne's murder and that there was apparently and oversized Gorilla somewhere in the jungle pissed off and locked up.

I was still shocked that she had managed to find a Zoo, let alone something still alive inside. Knowing she had found a Zoo it had made me even more curious to know exactly where we where in the world. We knew we where in the United States somewhere, we knew we where near Washington in Virginia. However exacts we never knew, part of me wanted to just destroy everyone in this mountain to find out more.

"Archers, watch the trees." I heard Lincoln shout causing me to flinch.

"Alright there?" I heard Clarke ask me softly. "Worried about Octavia, she didn't seem to happy that I chose not to go with her." I told her.

"I think she was more upset with me than you." Clarke explained to me.

I watched as Miller's dad and Lincoln had begun to exchange words with each other causing me to smile, even though Lincoln was more or less apart of the 'Sky-People' than he was a grounder. "You sure it's just Octavia on your mind Ray?" Clarke leaned over and asked me.

"Bellamy is right there Clarke, right there." I pointed towards the door to Mount Weather. "He's so close to me, so close to my touch, so close to being in my arms and yet… he couldn't be more far away." I told her feeling myself break down.

"I will get him back to you Ray, I promise you." She told me as she had turned towards me, and me towards her placing her hands on either of my shoulders. "I promise, there's no way baby Blake is going to be born without both parents there to greet him or her." She smiled at me.

"Knowing it's part Blake I can only imagine how sassy of a girl it would be, and imagine the annoyingly long speeches it would give if it was a boy." I told her whipping the few tears from under my eyes.

"It's not just a Blake, it's also a Kane." She reminded me.

"Good lord the speeches this baby is going to give whoever it's around." I found myself laughing. "At least we don't have to question if it'll be a cute baby." She smiled, "I mean look at you two."

"Here you are telling me how beautiful the baby will be and I still can't come up with a name." I chuckled. "Really no thoughts at all? I always thought that was something that women just knew." She teased.

"I am thinking Finn, if it's a boy… you know to honor him." I told her, "For a girl, I'm not entirely sure yet…" I told her as she smiled at me.

"I think Finn would love that." She told me as a small tear slowly slipped from her eye at the memory of him.

"Me too…" I told her as I followed suit with the small tears.

Bellamy's Point of View

We ended up back in the vent systems, which at this point I knew better than the halls of the Ark, I had been practically living in them for the past few days if not a week. I looked behind me at Maya and Jasper who nodded to me telling me they where ready for a fight if one was to ensue when we got out of this vent. I slowly and as quietly as I possibly could putting it on the ground below me before I climbed out ushering the other two to follow me by getting out along with me.

"We don't have much time, the last 12 are on this level." I informed them to hurry up and keep pace. We had found everyone else sending them back towards the Harvest Chamber to stay safe, which was just about the only thing we had going for us right now. Until Clarke and the others had gotten into this Mountain that was going to be the only place we would be able to hold our ground until we where rescued.

"Including Monty." Jasper added in as I nodded to him, "Yes, Monty is among them."

"Great, lead the way." He had said once Maya was out of the vent.

"This way." Maya pointed out to us knowing exactly where the room was that the 12 where being kept. The alarms constantly sounding off weren't really helping when it came to the fact that I was trying to concentrate on this task. I was so close to getting out of here, and getting back to Rayne and Octavia. I was distracted, something Raven told me not to become.

"Attention. Class one Quarantine protocols are now in effect. All citizens must report to level 5 immediately. Hard seal lockdown in T-Minus 30 minutes and counting."

The man on the P.A. had started explaining to everyone inside the mountain. I ignored it the best I could, we where so close to getting the last of our people into the safe room. With all the Mountain Citizens on level 5 getting out of here just became that much easier. Till I noticed neither of them where following me.

"We're not gonna let anything happen to you, will we?" I heard Jasper say as I made my way back to the two of them lowering my gun downwards looking at the two of them in confusion at us stopping.

"Jasper, in 30 minutes, all the backup power gets diverted for species continuity. That means level 5 for life support and security. Radiation will seep in everywhere else. I can't go to level 5 without being shot in the head." She told him as I stopped remembering she hadn't received any marrow transplants. She wasn't cured like the majority of the guard was in this place.

"Guy, hate to interrupt you but we need to keep moving." I told them both quietly.

"We'll get you your hazmat suit, extra oxygen, enough to last until the engineers get the power back on." Jasper tried to comfort her.

"And then what?" She asked him, "You think Cage Wallace is gonna let me live here after that?"

"Then we kill him." Jasper told her, it wasn't something I was opposed to or against. In fact I think everyone outside of the Mountain would welcome such an idea with open arms. However Jasper's idea was flawed.

How would we get close enough to take this guy out? I remember having to stock Jaha for days on the Ark before I had shot him. Learning all his habits, trying to figure out the perfect time to get him. The time he would be alone and most vulnerable? In here it was much more different, Cage was never alone.

A shot rang through the air followed by a woman's scream in distress forcing this conversation to end abruptly. It had come in the direction we needed to head in which only caused me to worry. I just hoped it hadn't come from the woman who was holding the last 12 of our friends. If they had managed to find them I wasn't sure how we where going to get them back, if we would even be able to.

"Monty." Jasper said as the three of us started to run off in the direction of the shot.

"Move! You heard him. Let's go." We heard a man yell, the feeling in my stomach which I could only describe of fear and worry became more apparent that my thoughts where about to be confirmed and they had found the last of them.

The gunshot would mean they weren't keeping to what Cage had said, they where killing anyone who was hiding them. These people where more savage than I thought the grounders where, something I didn't think I would ever say let alone think.

"Slow, slow." I whispered to Jasper as we reached the corner about to turn down the hall we had needed to go to.

"Be ready for anything." I told him as he nodded to me, the voices still heard down the hall telling me they haven't left yet and we could still save our friends if they where being taken away.

Right when I had rounded the corner I watched as the elevator in front of me closed telling me we where in fact too late to save whoever they had managed to take from us. Moving fully around the corner I saw the body of a woman on the ground, her cold lifeless body just lying there. The moment we had started to move towards her I knew this was in fact the woman holding the last 12.

"It's Mrs. Ryan." Maya told us both, "She was hiding the last 12." I said hearing my voice break at the thought of losing our friends to the Cage and his men.

"Where'd they take them?" Jasper asked me.

"It's got to be level 5." Maya added.

"No." I stopped Jasper from making a move towards the elevator. "Get out of my way." Jasper's voice grew cold as he threatened me.

"Every person inside this Mountain is on level 5, every soldier. Tell him." I said looking over at Maya.

"Jasper's right." She said causing me to roll my eyes, I couldn't believe they where considering this suicide mission.

"After the lockdown, it'll be almost impossible to get them out. It's now or never." She finished telling me as Jasper's watery eyes looked over at me.

"All right." I sighed "But how do we even get—" I started to say as I was cut off, by a loud thump coming from beyond the woman's body. Jasper and I quickly lifted up our weapons aiming them towards the sound as we had started to make our way towards the noise.

I could see the outline of someone crawling on the ground moving towards us, clearly in pain. "Monty." Jasper said as he lowered his weapon and quickly made his way towards his injured friend.

"What is it?" Jasper asked him as I slowly lowered my weapon too, "What's wrong?"

"They know about the grounders." Monty said as he looked up at us as he moved towards the woman's body propping himself against the couch. "That's why I hid."

"Did what you had to do, Monty." I told him, hoping to comfort him however he lowered his head.

"I – I didn't do anything to save the others, I just hid. I let them kill Mrs. Ryan." He explained.

"What did you mean they know about the grounders?" I asked of course they knew about the army outside they where trying to be obvious about it.

"It was on a soldier's walkie. They're going for the Harvest Chamber." Monty said as his eyes returned back to meet mine, my heart dropped into my stomach. They would kill all the grounders, Vincent, they would take all the kids we had saved and sent there.

"If they take it, we lose everyone." I commented looking back at Jasper and Maya, who had just suggested going after the twelve.

"Not just our friends, but the grounders too." I continued to say walking, as both of their expressions grew grim. I instantly ran around Monty knowing they would pick him up and bring him us, but I had no choice I couldn't wait.

Rayne's Point of View

Once it was dark out we all stood there, staring at the door, staring and waiting for something. Anything to happen, I was under the impression that Wick and Raven where supposed to have blown the power by now, we should already be inside and fighting. Or at least retreating with all out people rescued. Either way this nothing, was only making my stomach churn.

"It's taking too long." Clarke said once again causing me to be jolted from my thoughts. "It takes as long as it takes." Lexa responded to her.

"What will you do when it's over?" Lexa asked Clarke.

"I have no idea, help Rayne and Bellamy with the baby?" She questioned not sure of herself.

"Well, what do you want?" Lexa asked her, implying she was talking about the kiss they had shared. Clarke had told me about their kiss, which I had to admit still surprised me, even when she had told me the first time.

I had to admit even though it surprised me, I was happy Clarke had found something to make her happy again after Finn. I wasn't against it being a girl, but I was surprised that it was. As much as she and I fought and didn't see eye-to-eye… she did deserve happiness after everything she had been through since we landed here.

"Nothing." I heard Clarke say softly to Lexa, her voice just above a whisper. "My people back. I can't think past today."

"You should come with me to the Capital. Polis will change the way you think about us." Lexa told her, "You, Rayne and Bellamy should join us… the capital would be the best place to raise a child." She almost seemed to add just to entice Clarke to go with her.

Lexa was smart; she knew Bellamy wouldn't raise this child anywhere close to the grounders. Anywhere he wasn't more than 100% sure that the baby would be safe. He would be more likely to follow suit with Murphy and Jaha, heading off into the desert to this fabled City of Light vs living surrounded by Grounders. She knew the invitation was just for show to Clarke.

"You already have." Clarke whispered to her softly, I had to admit seeing how tender they where with each other, it reminded me so much of how Bellamy and I where. It reminded me of Bellamy, all the memories we had together flooding my memories. Our first kiss, the first time we had made love, our first fight, making up, everything we had done was spewing into my hear replaying like a film.

Gunfire was what stopped the memories from playing, jolting me back into reality. Which I was thankful for considering the memories I was having now where all the moments that I should have been experiencing with him. While he was stuck in the stupid mountain of death.

"It's coming from the Dam." Lincoln informed us. "They know we're going for the power."

"They know we're going for the door." Lexa than said her voice uneasy, I had to admit thinking they had no cameras watching this entrance made me want to laugh. Of course they knew we where standing out here, they had to have known what we where here to do. Obviously they didn't think we where going to just camp out till they adhered to our demands these people were monsters, worse than the grounders where when we had gotten here.

"Raven will get it done." Monroe told the Commander. "She has Wick with her, they will do what they need to do." Monroe nodded at my comment. "She's one of us." She then remarked.

"As soon as those lights go off, you push that button." David Miller informed Clarke. "We'll do the rest." Lincoln added.

Almost like that the lights shut off, I looked over at Clarke as the grin grew on her lips with joy; "She did it." She said taking hold of my arm, "Rayne… she did it."

"You had doubts?" I chuckled, "It's Raven."

"Shut up." She grinned. "One minute starting now." Miller's dad told her.

"For those we've lost..." Clarke started telling Lexa. "And those we'll soon find." I watched as they held the detonator together pressing the button at the same time.

However when nothing happened I felt myself grow with worry, we had now less than a minute with the door and this button not working I only began to worry more and more with each passing second it was wasting.

"What's wrong? Why isn't it working?" Lexa had started asking. "They're jamming us." Clarke said angrily. "I have to get closer."

"Clarke stop!" I shouted to her.

Once she had stepped out of cover the Mountain men had started firing at her. Lincoln rushed towards her wrapped his arms around her pulling her away from the line of fire and back towards where we had all been standing, hidden under cover.

"45 seconds!" David shouted to us over the gunfire, I looked to Lincoln hoping he would have some form of an answer to what to do. He however seemed more than distracted by making sure Clarke wasn't injured.

"Flank the shooters! Go!" Lexa yelled at her people, as I looked over at Lincoln he was now less distracted by Clarke as he was now seemingly more concerned about the men leaving.

"If I can get there, I can trigger it manually." I heard David tell Clarke and after the way I had watched the grounders taking off to flank drop like flies I could only imagine what they would do to them if they made an attempt on the door.

"No. You can't get there." Clarke scolded the mans idea as if she was reading my mind.

"For Nate, I have to try." He pleaded with her.

"Shield wall! Now!" Lexa shouted out to her people I watched as a group of them gathered near by using steel panels as cover. "Take him to the door!" She shouted to them again.

I looked over at watching as Dylan ran towards where the wall was moving along with them as they had all started to make it for the door. I had to admit the idea had made me skeptical on how this would work. Which only got confirmed as the Mountain Men began to fire at them causing each one of them to go down to the ground.

"Shit!" I cried out, Clarke looking over at me with pain filling her eyes. "What are we going to do?" She cried out.

"We'll find another way in." Lexa told us both in an attempt to calm us down. "We don't have time, or another chance to, Lexa." I snapped at her, Bellamy was at stake and I wasn't about to lose this opportunity to get him back.

"She's right; there is no other way in. You know that." Clarke called to her. I looked over at Lincoln as he nodded to me, "We don't need one." He said loud enough for the two girls to hear.

"How is your aim?" I asked him, "Perfect." He told me, "Do your thing then!" I watched as he nodded to confirm with me he had heard me.

He then lit one of his arrows with the fire off of another grounders torch, standing up still out of the range of their shooters he was aiming his bow directly at the door. I could feel the breath in my throat hitch, the moment Clarke announced we had 5 seconds left on the timer before we had no time at all.

Lincoln let go of the drawstring allowing the arrow to fly freely through the air. He must have been telling the truth about his aim because the light from the explosion light up the entire entrance area. I looked over at Clarke, "So close!" I told her my excitement for seeing Bellamy growing to new heights.

The gunshots however did not cease, it almost seemed like they called out more shooters once we blew the doorway, which I knew was unlikely. They probably already had every able bodied man outside the mountain trying to stop us from getting inside.

"It worked!" Clarke had started to laugh.

"We need to get to that ridge and take out the shooters." Lexa informed us, as both Clarke and I nodded to her, she was right. The only way we where going to get into that Mountain was if someone lead a squad up there to kill every single one of their soldiers.

Lincoln stood up making a move to lead with a group of grounders when Lexa stopped him, "No! You stay with Clarke and Rayne." She told him as I felt that uneasy feeling return to my stomach, it seemed to show up every time Lexa or even Clarke made a decision I either didn't understand or didn't like.

Her leaving Clarke here with Lincoln and I versus letting Lincoln take a squad with him didn't make sense. You would think the leader of the grounders would want to be down here when the door was opened and we would be able to get into the place. Something just wasn't sitting right with me, making my decision to join Clarke instead of Indra and Octavia seem like that much more of a good idea.

"When the shoot stops, you get that door open." Lexa ordered us as Clarke nodded. I however just sat there, voicing the ideas and thoughts in my head didn't seem like they would go across very well. Lexa and a small group of Grounders than took off into the woods to make their way to the ridge.

"Something doesn't sit right with me Clarke, why would she go… she should be down here to storm the door… with us." I told her as she put her hand on my shoulder; "Don't worry Rayne, everything will be fine and you'll be with Bellamy by the morning." She told me with a smile, however something told me otherwise. One of two things was going to take place tonight, we where going to get blind sighted, or my gut feeling was going to be silenced.

The shooting up in the trees had stopped or at least stopped being aimed at us, looking over at Clarke she seemed to be deep in though at what to do next. "We need to get to that door Clarke." I told her.

"I know… I know but, Miller was the only person we had that could do that. Other than Wick and Raven." She explained.

"We'll figure it out, Clarke we can do this." I told her putting my hand on her shoulder.

"We have movement." Lincoln told us as we both turned to look over the rock we had taken cover behind. "Miller." Monroe said as we ran out from the rock to go to his aid.

"Make sure he's ok." Clarke called over to Monroe and I, I had thought Clarke was with us however when I looked over to her I saw that Lincoln had his arm extended stopping her from coming any closer.

"Sergeant Miller!" Monroe shouted. "David are you alright?" I questioned to him as I knelt down next to him.

"They'll be waiting just inside the door." Clarke explained to Lincoln loud enough for me to hear. "We've got this Clarke." I shouted back to her.

"Rayne is right we got this." Lincoln told her. "We will have many of our archers in the trees waiting for them to show face." He told her.

"Archers wont be enough." I said looking back.

"Follow me, two lines!" Lincoln shouted to the men behind him as I helped Miller off the ground with Monroe's help as we both move out of the way of the grounders taking Miller back to our people.

Monroe and I stood there watching as both groups of people began to hook the door getting ready to pull it open so we could be gin our attack on the mountain. I was so close to getting back to Bellamy's arms, my thoughts being cut short by Monroe putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Not much longer now, it's right there." She told me as I smiled, "I don't think I've ever been so nervous and excited…" I told her,

"I'm still nervous about this truce, can only imagine how you feel." She smiled. "

The door before our eyes had begun to open even if it was incredibly slowly, now it was a matter of getting in there and finding Bellamy. Everyone behind me had started cheering in excitement to the door being opened which was the same exact feeling I had in my own body. Excitement. I turned around a small bit looking at Clarke as she smirked at me nodding. "Attack now!" She shouted.

"Stand down!" I heard the Commander yell which caused me to look around in confusion. I looked to my side where Clarke was now standing with me. "What did she say?" She asked me. "She told them to stand down." I explained to her as Lexa began to walk down the path along sider her soldiers and a guest I hadn't thought we'd have to see ever again. Emerson.

I knew I was right to have those gut feelings, I knew I was right in thinking we where going to be backstabbed or betrayed. "What is this?" Clarke moved past me about to get into Lexa's face when I reached out and help her arm causing her to stay back.

"Hey, look! They're coming out!" One of the guard yelled, however when I looked over I had noticed it was just grounders walking out of the door. I was at a loss for words, I wasn't even sure what I should say. This was Clarke's truce, she could deal with it.

"They're surrendering?" Clarke asked her as I let out a scoff.

"Not quite." Lexa told her. "What did you do?" Clarke asked her as her entire voice cracked and almost seemed like it devolved into nothing.

"What you would have done. Saved my people." Lexa said, as her voice grew cold. I moved so that I was standing beside Clarke taking her hand in my own feeling her grip my hand tightly.

"Where are my people?" Clarke sobbed. "I'm sorry, Clarke." Lexa said as Emerson walked over to the two of us practically ripping me from Clarke's grasp. "What? Let go of me!" I screamed at him trying rip myself away from him.

"Let go of her!" Clarke yelled at him as Lexa had two people walk towards her holding her back from me. "Clarke!" I screamed at her as I felt Emerson's breath against my ear. "You are how we will get rid of our pest problem." He whispered into my ear.

They where going to use me to find Bellamy? How did they know I was with Bellamy? How did they even know whom I was or that I would be here with Clarke and the army? "You people are sick, and stupid if you think giving Lexa her people back will mean they wont kill you all once you get to the ground." I harshly whispered back.

"The others weren't part of the deal." Lexa explained.

"But Rayne was? Are you insane?" She shouted at her.

"Rayne was apart of the deal, Clarke." Emerson told her, "Or did you forget that she was there when you two sent me off?" He chuckled. "You made the right choice, Commander." He said as two other men came out along side the grounder prisoners as they grabbed me from Emerson dragging me into the Mountain.

"I'll get back to you Clarke! Stay strong… you can get in just think hard… find Octavia!" I screamed to her as the two guards attempted to gag my mouth.

"Don't cause her pain. Neither Wallace will be pleased if she is injured in anyway. They have plans for this Ark Citizen." Emerson told them.

Bellamy's Point of View

Once we had reached the Harvest Chamber I couldn't say I wasn't surprised by the fact that I couldn't see anyone, no grounders, none of our people. The room was just instead completely empty, the sound was almost haunting me. However what I wasn't expecting to see was Vincent on the ground pooling blood beneath his head. "Hold Maya back." I told Jasper who I guess didn't hear me.

"No!" Maya had began to scream, before she had collapsed to the ground next to her fathers body as she knelt there sobbing, as Jasper moved so that he was kneeling next to her trying to comfort her.

I was without words this time, I don't even know what or how I would react if I was in the same situation. I don't even remember crying when my mother was floated. Probably because it was so fast I had no time to hold her close to me as she was dying.

"No! Let go of me!" I heard a voice scream through the hallway. "Maya quiet." Jasper asked of her as she nodded silencing herself.

"Does anyone remember someone being alone I thought everyone was in groups?" Monty inquired.

I recognized that voice; I would recognize that voice anywhere. It was not a voice that I ever wanted to hear inside this place. "Bellamy?" I heard Monty ask as he walked towards me. "Are you ok?"

"I will never help you sick people, let me go!" The voice began to grow faint. "Where are we going?"

"Clearly we had gotten off on the wrong floor, Emerson will be pissed. We're supposed to take the girl to Wallace." A guard said. "Let me go!"

What where they going to do to her, why wasn't I running to go protect her… why was I frozen in fear. "That's Rayne." Was all that I had managed to say feeling the stray tear slowly slip down my face, I had failed her, they had gotten her here.

"We're going to get them all." Monty said.

"You don't understand… Rayne is pregnant…" I announced to them as all three of their expressions changed.

"If they take her bone marrow, the pain she undergoes will kill the baby… we have to figure out which Wallace she's being taken too quickly." Maya said.

"We will kill everyone involved in your fathers death Maya, I promise you that." I told her as she nodded. "Let's go save Rayne." Jasper said as we all stood up, beginning to discuss our game plan for not only rescuing Rayne, but finding and getting everyone else back. This was not something I was prepared to handle, all I knew was that I needed to get back to Rayne… I needed her, more than ever.
