Rayne's Point of View
Once we entered one of the many newly transformed roomed I could hear Bellamy addressing Monty. He was another who changed drastically after the events of Mount Weather. I looked over at him, as he seemed to be sitting there at the table perplexed and in deep thought.
"Monty?" I repeated for Bellamy.
"I am. He's not." Monty informed us as he nodded his head off towards what was a extremely drunk Jasper. Not that this surprised me; since the loss of his Mount Weather friend this was a daily look for Jasper. From the stories he had told me she was actually a really decent girl.
Undeserving of what came to her, extremely undeserving. I only saw what I saw, experienced what I did. Jasper and the others lived it; I could never form the opinion of the mountain men like he had. However the few things he did share of his time, was all of Maya and how amazing she was.
"We don't have time for this." Bellamy grumbled, "We always have time." I responded to him as the three of us moved towards where Jasper seemed to be lying. I readjusted my pack and weapons before I moved closer to him shaking my head. "Oh Jasp…" I sighed.
"What should we do?" Monty asked Bellamy. "Well I would suggest we leave him, Ray?" He asked me. "This is Monty's call." I said standing up and walking back towards the two of them.
"After all, you did say you would watch him." I commented as Monty sighed, "I did." He murmured, "He's not getting any better Ray, Maya's death broke him." As would be expected. "He needs this, he needs a cause." Monty told us, "Take an arm." Bellamy instructed him as he let out a deep exhausted sigh.
I understand grieving much like anyone else but this was too much, Jasper was driving himself to near death most days over this girl. As much as I would love to think Bellamy and I would do the same if one of us died. I think we would both know we would want the other to move on and find new happiness. I don't think Maya would want this of Jasper, would want him to suffer or hurt like he is.
We began to move Japser towards the vehicle when I heard it again, that absolutely annoying voice. "Zeke, I said produce first. Art doesn't go bad." I looked over at Bellamy visibly annoyed.
"Babe ignore her, ignore it… you're the one that set her up for the collection aspect… she has to be here." Bellamy told me as Monty seemed to take his cue to move Jasper inside and leave us alone.
"She doesn't have to be anywhere but out of my sight… I've been dealing with her crap for three months." I nagged causing Bellamy to chuckle, "Babe, I'm yours ignore her." He sighed kissing my gently on the forehead.
She rushed towards me; "I found something's for you guys on the run." She quickly said. "Oh that's great… thanks Gina." Bellamy told her.
She handed Bellamy a book, the Iliad. I guess she had heard him and I talking about Homer's fabled Greek heroes the many times we would fall asleep outside among the stars. That wasn't creepy. She than walked towards me briskly.
"I found something for you… it was far too big to bring to you now knowing your heading out so it's in your room. It's that painting, The Starry Night. Van Gogh… I remember in Earth studies you mentioned how you liked the old art from Earth how it would speak to you on this other worldly level. I saw it up in the vault… I knew you had to have it." She smiled her face lighting up.
"Wow… thanks Gina." I said shocked she not only remembered that but also went that far out of her way to find me something. She quickly trotted off towards her station. "Are you sure I'm the one she has a crush on?" Bellamy teased pushing me slightly. "Shut up."
Bellamy slammed his bag on the front bumper of the rover-causing Raven to shout out at him. "Hey Raven." I chirped up at her, "Ray Ray!" She grinned towards me causing me to smile.
I looked over at Bellamy as he had begun tossing guns out at other party members who had suited up for the mission. "What's the point if we can't shoo them?" I heard someone ask, wasn't really that bad of a question.
I think if their hostile we should just annihilate them, who knows what these other tribes are like, we've seen how Lexa's operates… the others could be just as bad if not worse. Made the shoot first ask later seem like a great idea.
"Where's Octavia?" Bellamy asked.
"We're going outside the wall you honestly think she'd miss that?" Nathan remarked. "Has a valid point." I remarked as Nathan chuckled.
Suddenly as if almost out of the blue; Jasper grabs Monty thrusting him against the back of the rover. Jasper begins to walk away when Bellamy stops him; "No gun for you, not till you're sober." Smart thinking, we wouldn't want him going all Finn on us out there in Sector seven.
"I thought you were banned from leaving the walls…" I heard Raven ask me. "Yet I leave with Bellamy and the others every single time." I smirked.
"Think he'll catch on?" She asked me, "I'm sure he knows, I'm just also sure he knows he can't stop me… I will find Clarke and bring her home." I told Raven as she smiled "I know; you will"
We all piled into the back of the rover with Raven at the helm, I felt Bellamy take my hand in his before addressing the others. "We got this remember our mission." He told them as I looked to him and nodded.
The moment the doors opened Octavia was there on a horse causing me to smirk and Nathan to make the remark that we had found her. "Shut up." Bellamy chuckled.
"Horse is almost bigger than the Commanders." Nathan remarked.
"Only the best for our dearest O'." I grinned.
Since the fall of Mount Weather and in the last three months we had managed to make the camp into a small community, we had so many things now not just a home. This had really become out Ark on Earth yet properly renamed from Camp Jaha to Arkadia.
I usually zoned out for these rides not paying much attention to the boys. Nathan tapped me on the knee bringing me back down to earth. "So do you really think Clarke will be in this sector?" He asked me.
"I can really only hope, there aren't many places left to look that aren't literal month if not year journeys away from here. However she could be camped out right outside our home, we wont find her till she wants to be found…"
"Than why keep looking? Ray you don't owe her anything, her leaving and that war she started… I think it took enough from you." He whispered to me, he was remarking the baby again. "Yea I know, but she's my friend and no one gets left behind." I told him.
It wasn't till Jasper started singing that I realized they where even playing music. Which only caused me to smiled one Japser, and Raven where singing, with Nathan now playing the air drums. I looked over at Bellamy who was as always trying to contain his laughter.
"Why can't I get just one screw?" I sung to him; "Did you forget last night already?" He whispered to me causing Nathan to roar out with laughter.
Jasper soon began to move around the Rover singing to the song, which was only causing Bellamy to look over at me questioningly. I just shrugged, this was the most positivity we'd gotten from Jasper in three months… what would be the point in stopping it?
The music stopped abruptly as I moved from the back of the rover to the passenger seat looking at Raven, "Something's out there?" I questioned her.
"No it's a tracking beacon from the ark." Monty explained moving in between us.
"Another station?" I asked, "We should head there, survivors." I said looking back at Bellamy.
"Who is it?" He asked. "Farm Station." Monty commented slowly looking back at Bellamy with him.
"We have to map Sector seven later, these are our people Bellamy." I remarked.
"Wait, what? After—after for months? How?" Nathan asked, that's when the station named dawned on me. Nathan's boyfriend was from the farming station…
"Rayne is right we have to find them, We'll find out how when we get there. Where are they?" Bellamy asked.
The back door opened revealing Octavia. "Don't tell me I missed the party." She commented. "Sector 8." Monty told us all. "Ice Nation." Nathan sighed.
"Shit." Was all I could say.
"What about it?" Octavia asked us. "Protocol says we go home, let the chancellor decide." Raven commented.
"They may not have that long, if any one survived this long." I told Bellamy. As much as I wanted to be in charge neither Kane nor Abbey would allow it. Bellamy was the lead on any expeditions beyond the wall.
"Exactly screw protocol. Chancellor isn't from Farm Station. Monty is, so is Miller's boyfriend. It's your call." Bellamy told Nathan.
"Let's do this." Monty called out to Nathan; they both knew they had the support of the entire group. All Nathan had to do was agree and we would head out as fast as possible.
"You have to ask?" Nathan said sarcastically.
"Try to keep up." Bellamy told Octavia as she just rolled her eyes, "How your still with my brother amazes me." She teased to me. "Yea it's a miracle." I told her.
We then immediately changed our directions towards where the signal was coming from speeding up in the process. Not only was the station in a dangerous sector but also we now had friends, and family's lives drawn into the equation.
Nova's Point of View
John was resting on a couch his head on a pillow that was on my lap as I sat there slowly stroking his hair. This odd music was playing all around us. Jaha had done nothing but stall at every question I had for him, giving me almost nothing to go off of. It was infuriating.
He was in the room behind us kneeling on the floor where he had told me he would wait until John had woken up. There was something really wrong with Jaha, something very different. He was more crazy than before yet sane at the same time. It left me with a horrid feeling in my stomach whenever he was near me.
John quickly sat up drinking the entire glass of water that was left before us, he than picked up the apple before looking to me, "Where's yours?" He asked, "I already ate."
John stood up pulling me with him walking towards the former leader of his people. "Jaha." John remarked as he still kept me behind him. "Thelonious isn't here, John." A voice came from behind us, a voice that while John was asleep I had become familiar with. She had cleaned us both up and gave me new clothing or I guess very old clothing.
"He's in the city of light." She told him.
"I know what you are." John told her as he threw the apple at the female only for it to go through her. "It's refreshing to be around people who understand technology again." She commented, "Even if this one doesn't." She said as John pushed me behind him, "I assure you she is safe here."
"Because I'll believe that." John told her.
"Let us explain." Jaha said as he walked up behind us.
"Yea, that's a good idea." John remarked sarcastically. "Why don't you star with why you kept us locked in a bunker while you where here living like a King?"
"The outside world means nothing. In the city of light we're all kings, and queens." He said motioning towards me.
"Here I thought we were the ones losing our minds." John said wrapping his arm around me. "It's the truth, I can show you." The not really there woman told us as John looked at me. I just nodded; I had to admit I was curious.
"You need to know she's the ones that launched the bombs that ended the world, alright?" John explained to Jaha.
"Wrong. She didn't end the world. She saved it." John looked to me with this look of utter disbelief before turning to the woman. "We're out of here." John said as he began to pull me away.
"Let him go. He'll come around." The woman said, "She'll change his mind." Was all I heard before John and I where out of ears reach.
"What if she has all my people locked away somewhere?" I asked him, "What if she killed them all?" He asked me causing me to nod, that was a though that had crossed my mind… what did she mean I'd change his mind? Like hell I would.
Rayne's Point of View
Once we where all out of the rover I made my way towards Octavia as she smirked at me; "These woods must be the border." Bellamy said stopping Octavia from whatever she was about to say to me. "Probably, so we should enter with extreme caution." I told everyone as Bellamy nodded; "The Ice Nation may have a treaty with Lexa, but I don't believe that extends to us." Bellamy added.
"Where's all the ice?" Jasper asked.
"Much further north." Octavia explained as we all made our way towards the tree line. "Azgeda stretches for a thousand miles."
"Good thing we only have to go 200 meters." Monty told us.
"Slow down, remember rules of engagement are non-lethal." Bellamy reminded everyone, "Tight formation on my command. Raven you stay in the rover." Bellamy began to order. "Yea right." She rolled her eyes walking closer to Octavia and I.
"We need everybody we've got." Octavia told him. "She's right Bells." I chimed in. "Who knows what's out there, this could be like when we first got to earth all over again, we don't know."
"Their coming." Monty said forcing every one of our eyes to dart towards the tree line, my stomach tightening up with a slight anxiety. "120 meters, 110." Monty continued to count for us as we all continued to stand our ground weapons still not drawn.
Bellamy raised his gun, "Their our people." Monty pleaded. "We hope they're our people." Bellamy corrected him.
"Weapons up." I told everyone as everyone complied and followed suit.
"On my command." Bellamy said as Octavia pulled out her sword.
Soon a troop of horses come towards us moving into our view, I couldn't tell if they where our people, or the Ice Nation. Mainly since none of us had a clue as to what they looked like. Though the answer was obvious, it was pretty silly to think our people had found horses and learned to ride them within four months. I looked over at Bellamy quizzically, "Ice Nation?" He questioned as I just shrugged.
"Yes. White war paint." Octaiva replied to him, "Stay calm." She told us as she walked towards the men with me at her side weapon lowered to my side.
'Who are you?' The man called to us.
'Sky people, looking for our people.'
'Looking for Wanheda.'
The one said as their leader seemed to dismount and walk towards us. "They think we're looking for Wanheda." Octavia told the others.
"Who's that?" Bellamy asked, "I don't know." Octavia responded.
"The light. That's the beacon." Monty piped up.
Japser soon just pushed past us all walking towards the grounders. "Hey get back here!" Bellamy called to him.
"Jasper, what are you—" Monty started in as the one grounder drew back his bow prepared to fire it at Jasper.
"Jasper!" Octavia tried pulling him back. "It's ok I got this." Jasper told us. "Idiot." Was all I could muster to say with how much I regretted letting them bring him along with us.
"Tell them we observe the commander's truce. Tell them now!" Bellamy told Octavia. Which she quickly began to call out to them as Jasper ripped the beacon from the grounders belt. "This belongs to us." Jasper said before turning around and being grabbed by the grounder.
'Where's Wanheda?' The grounder demanded, I looked over at Octavia confused, who was he even talking about. 'Let him go!' Bellamy called out to them.
'Please we don't know who that is! Please we can help each other.' I pleaded with the grounder. Jasper had began to laugh softly to himself causing us to lower out weapons and seemingly pissed off the grounders. 'You think this is funny?' The grounder asked him as he slowly began to slit Jasper's neck.
Everyone began to take shots at the men on the horses in an attempt to get the grounder to release Jasper. Octavia moved closer to the grounder; "Jasper, get down." She called out as she whipped her sword towards the grounder landing him right in the chest.
"So much for non-lethal." I remarked.
"Rover one, come in." Kane's voice came through the radio. "Repeat, Rover one, come in now."
"What now…" Bellamy said as we both returned to the Rover.
"Bellamy, where are you?"
"We had to shoot three ice nation scouts. Covert sector four copy." Bellamy said as I looked over at him shaking my head. Had Kane or anyone else been here… Jasper would be 'floated' those scouts had no intent to harm us till Jasper intervened.
"Can you tell me what's going on?" Bellamy asked again.
"When you get in. Over and out."
"No one is to find out why we killed those men, is that clear?" I called out to the crew, Jasper and Monty seemed to be ignoring me. "Is that clear!" I screamed at them as they both nodded; "Yes mam'" The commented looking at me. Octavia arched her brow.
"Unless we want Jasper's head on a pike… this stays quiet… search them for anything we can use and lets get the hell out of here… now." I ordered as both Nathan and Raven ran towards the bodies.
"Babe… we had to." Bellamy commented. "No… they had no intent to harm us when they heard about the truce. Japser laughing and going near them is what triggered this… we should know better Bells… these close calls… I can't lose you to someone else's stupidity, sadness or anger… I can't and I wont." I told him as I walked around the rover.
"What's in sector four? Why is Kane so far out beyond the wall? Raven asked.
"Get him home." Bellamy ordered. "Miller get one of their horses, Raven you get on the back. Monty, Rayne your with me." Bellamy ordered everyone sending the other four back to the camp. Which only made me wonder what we were going to find my father tied up in.
