"AHHHHH!" It had been over a month since the thieve business. Rin was in bad shape. She had screaming painful nightmares that would eco throughout the mansion. Even though the damages to the mansion were fixed, Rins mental wounds still bled. Miss Bamki ordered the remaining maids who survived the fire to get a bowl of cold water to dampen a cloth for her head. "Go now!"

"Yes Miss Bamki." "Miss Bamki, what is wrong with momma?" Resashy cried. "She is fine, go back to sleep." "No momma is not alright!" Just then Sesshomaru came out from the darkness and picked up Inutashi and Resashy, and took them downstairs. "Let Miss Bamki take care of her. Right now, you need some sleep." "Papa, mom is sick isn't she?" Inutashi turned to Resashy and replied. "No you impudent fool, she is having night mares. Father, where are you taking us?" "To my office, you need your sleep."

Inutashi grumbled and replied. "I don't need sleep." Sesshomaru huffed and replied. "I beg to differ."

Later… in Sesshomaru's office...

The twins were conked out on the spare bed in Sesshomaru's office. Sesshomaru sighed and did paper work while sipping some rich wine. Yes, Sesshomaru drank human alcohol. Whenever he was stressed, he would drink it on occasion. He could still feel her pain, and could hear her screams upstairs. He struggled to his feet, but passed out from Rins pain, which was connected to him.

The next day….

Sesshomaru woke up, with a giant head ache. Rin must have had one too. Sesshomaru's vision cleared, which was focusing on the sofa. He pulled himself to his feet and yawned carelessly. He turned to the twins, who were still asleep. He picked them up, and carried them to their cribs.

After tucking them in upstairs, Sesshomaru joined Rin in bed. He re dampened the cloth, making it cold again. He then put it on her forehead. "Rin, wake up." Rin's vision was blurry, but focused on Sesshomaru right away. "Uhh, Sesshomaru? What hap—""You had a terrible nightmare." Rin tried to get up, but Sesshomaru would not let her.

"No, you must rest." Rin nodded and stared up at the ceiling. She then spoke. "Where were you when all of this happened?" "I had to take the twins into my study, your screams were scaring them." Rin sighed in a shameful manor. Her ears flattened in embarrassment. "I am so sorry for the stress I have caused." Sesshomaru laughed softly and spoke. "It is not your fault Rin, you have every right to still be scared after what happened. If I had not gotten there on time, the heathen would have definitely entered inside you without remorse. I am just really glad we did that ritual." Rins eyes widened while she replied.

"You could feel my fear?" Sesshomaru nodded and leaned his head up against the base board and replied. "Indeed, I also felt pain across my face when he hit you. Rin sat up slowly and replied. "Wow that is amazing." Sesshomaru nodded and replied. "It is something, that's for sure. Go to sleep now, you need your rest." Rin laid down, then looked up and replied. "Don't you want to sleep?" Sesshomaru shook his head and replied while gazing out the window. "I am not tired. I do not become easily fatigued like you do."

Rin rolled her eyes and turned over on her side, slowly drifting into slumber. Sesshomaru kept looking out the window, not taking his eyes off from the outdoor surroundings. The truth was, Sesshomaru was mind-numbingly exhausted. With taking care of the twins, to doing paper work for the land he

Co- owned, fatigue had caught up with him. When he was just a wondering demon who went where ever the wind took him, he did not have responsibilities like he does now. With all of the worrying, stress, and parenthood in his life now, he could hardly keep his eyelids open.

The overall mental exhaustion brought him down. Despite all of it, he was happy now. No longer was he cold, bitter, or evil. Rin had melted that ice that formed his demon heart, and he was thankful. With her in his life, he could laugh, make jokes, and even be humourlessly sarcastic once and awhile. Since the event with the thieves, he was worried. He did not want Rin to go through hell again. Every night he would guard Rin, making sure she was safe. Tonight however was a different story. He was at war with his eye lids. When he rested his head on the base board again, he lost the battle, as he slowly drifted into deep slumber.

The next day…

Sesshomaru woke up. His vision was on the ceiling as it cleared. The youki finally realised he was on his back, with his feet resting on the base board of the bed. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, then yawned and stretched out his thousand year old muscles and bones. He looked beside him, Rin was gone. He rushed out the doors of the Master bedroom, to hear bath water being drawn. He opened the doors to the bath springs and found her in a house coat, tying up her long black hair. Rin turned to her husband and laughed while speaking.

"My youki, don't you ever knock?" Sesshomaru smiled and sat next to her on the bench where she was sitting to tie her hair. "Sorry, I was just worried. Why did you not wake me?" Rin smiled and replied while kicking off her slippers. "You looked like you needed your rest." Sesshomaru sighed and admitted defeat, as he knew he could no longer keep things from his wife. "Yes, I have been very busy, and it has deprived me of my energy." Rin smiled and shifted next to Sesshomaru, resting her head on his shoulder. "Do you still have energy for me?" Sesshomaru's eyes widened, then relaxed, as he knew what his wife was asking her for. Perhaps intimacy could heal her nightmares. So, they both got naked and made sweet and passionate love in the hot springs.

Afterwards, they cuddled naked in the springs and talked amongst themselves. "So, have you mentioned the incident with the thieves to our ally?" Rin asked, as she was wondering if Sesshomaru told the demon he was sharing the land with about the situation yet. Sesshomaru nodded while leaning his chin on her bare shoulder, as Rin was cradled in his arms with her back to him. "Yes, I sent him a letter explaining the details on what happened. So far, he has not replied." Rin sighed and melted in the springs. She then replied while turning to Sesshomaru. "Perhaps you should pay him a visit." Sesshomaru chuckled then replied. "No, we will both visit him. Owning and maintaining this land, I am king of these west lands." Rin rolled her eyes and replied. "What do I have to do with all of this?" Sesshomaru smiled and replied while exiting the bath, exposing his beautiful naked body. Rin always loved the sight of it, especially when it was out in the open. "You are my wife, which makes you queen. So you have accompany me in all my political endeavours. "Rin laughed and exited as well, throwing on a house coat. "Oh, is that so?" Sesshomaru nodded and put on a house coat too while replying. "Yes, it is." Just then, Miss Bamki came in with the twins. "My lord, Rin, the twins have requested your presence." "Papa!" "Father, this maid is boring us, we came to see you, as you are more interesting. No offence Miss Bamki." Miss Bamki replied while closing the door. "Non taken Inutashi." Sesshomaru chuckled and picked up his twins. "Well then, what shall we do?" "Let's play papa!" "Yes, something interesting." So Sesshomaru and Rin came back down from the adult world and into reality, as they took care of their normal duties from that point on.
