Chapter 26!

A familiar face! Rin's transformation!

Rin and Sesshomaru raced into the village, it was a mess! Roofs of villager's homes were on fire, innocent people were being slain and livestock was running amuck! Sesshomaru ran inside and immediately started to attack the assassins! Rin told all the remaining villagers to run for it while aiding Sesshomaru in slaying the assassins. All the villagers nodded and headed into the forest to take cover. Rin swung Sangotsu around on its chain and killed each and every assassin one by one. All of a sudden, a huge blast appeared before her! She jumped, avoiding it in the nick of time and landed on a roof.

"Look at we have here, a woman trying to play hero."

'That voice!' Rin thought, as she was surprised on how she recognized it.

'Who is he? I know him!'

The man showed his face. He stood there, 6ft tall with long hair and a scar on his face. The man appeared to be well into his 50's and looked like he had a long history of plundering innocent lives. Rin looked at the man long and hard, trying to think where she saw him. Then, in the back of her mind, it hit her!

"Die wench!"

"Mother! NO!"

"Rin—run!"

"Shut up and die!"

"AKKKK!"

"Mother!"

'The sound of slashing, and my mother's blood shed…. This man was once the thief, who killed my family!'

"You! You're the one who killed my family!" The man swung his blade and seemed to ponder his thoughts. "Hmm, you have to be more specific girl, I have destroyed many families."

Rin frowned and took some locks of her hair and tied it into a pony tail on the side of her head, just like she had it as a child. The man then quickly recognized her and smiled devilishly. He pointed his blade and replied. "Ha, you're that brat from that village I plundered 10 years ago as a thief! Well, I can see you are no longer a brat anymore! You have become a filthy half breed! No matter, I will destroy you, just like I did to your brother and mother!" "You monster!" Rin replied in hatred as she swung Sangotsu at the evil man. He dodged her attack and landed on a roof.

"HA! YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT—GIRLY!"

Rin growled with loath and hatred and swung Sangotsu around on its chain, she was going to get serious this time, and kill this man to get revenge!

Meanwhile on the other side of the village, Sesshomaru was battling and destroying the associates of the man who Rin was fighting. After taking down three, Sesshomaru noticed Rin fighting the leader. 'Fool, why does she not let me take care of him? Does she know this man?'

Sesshomaru thought, as he slayed another assassin who tried to attack him just then. He came over and spoke to Rin while cracking his claws, ready to poison the evil leader with them "Rin, why don't you aid the villagers and I will take care of this fiend." "SATY BACK SESSHOMARU! HE IS MINE! HE KILLED MY FAMILY!"

'It would appear as though this is the man who killed Rin's kin…. She is too enraged with anger to fight, I must stop her…'

"Rin, leave it be, he is not worth getting serious for." "Quiet, I will kill him myself and take revenge!" The man laughed ever so carelessly and spoke. "Listen her girly and listen good, my name is Dafoki, Remember that name as your mother did when I slayed her. I will slay you and that pathetic demon companion of yours."

Rin had enough of Dafoki running his ugly mouth and threw Sangotsu at him! Dafoki blocked it with his blade, sending Sangotsu back at her! "Ukk!"

Rin went flying across the ground and inside a hut! Sesshomaru wanted to help her, but she told him to stay out of hit. Sesshomaru stood by, but if she were to get hurt anymore, he would cut in and kill Dafoki himself. "HAHAHA! TAKE THAT! WHORE OF A DEMON!" The air changed, wind charged ever so carelessly. Sesshomaru sniffed the air, and smelled a familiar smell.

'This scent, I have smelled it before…. When Inuyasha turned full fledge—No- it cannot be!'

Sesshomaru searched for Sangotsu, it was up in a tree with the chain wrapped around one of the branches. He then turned his vision back to the hut where Rin was flung into. Rin came out slowly, with red piercing eyes and claws erect! She was full-fledged! This was the same situation when Inuyasha was parted from Tetsusaiga!

"GRR…."

Rin growled, as her claws and finger's cracked, ready to attack!

"Uhh, no!"

Sesshomaru belted, as he ran to get Sangotsu for Rin to take hold.

"She is—a full-fledged demon! I thought she was a HALF BREED!"

Dafoki exclaimed, as he quivered with fear. Rin smiled and lunged at Dafoki! Dafoki ran for his escape, but was slain!

"UKKKKK!"

Rin landed on a hut and smiled while saying "THAT WAS FUN…." In a growling dangerous matter. Sesshomaru had to come up with something quick, for he knew Rin would attack him next in her state.

'I must bring her down and put Sangotsu in her grasp, before she attacks the villagers—or me…'

Sesshomaru came down from the tree he was hiding in, and prepared to bring Rin down. For the first time in his thousand years, he was afraid. Afraid that he might hurt Rin, afraid that she might kill him if he makes a wrong move. He worked up the courage and tackled Rin to the ground!

"GRRR RELEASE ME AT ONCE VERMIN!"

Rin clawed and bit Sesshomaru repeatedly, spilling his blood everywhere. Sesshomaru endured, as he reached for one of Rin's hands and put Sangotsu in her grasp! A few moment past, and Rin's full-fledged demon form subsided, as she was back to herself. "W-where am I? WHERE IS DAFOKI?!" Sesshomaru rolled off Rin, hiding his agony from the wounds Rin inflicted on him and answered in his usual emotionless self, when in reality he was in great pain. "You turned into a full-fledged demon and slayed him. It seems you are like that if Inuyasha now, if you and Sangotsu part, you become a full-fledged killing machine."

"Oh no, that's awful! " Rin tied Sangotsu to her side and stood to her feet. She watched her husband struggle to his, followed by his blood dripping from huge gashes on his arms.

"My youki, did I inflict those wounds?" Sesshomaru turned away, as he did not want to answer. "Never mind, let's find Jaken and tell the villagers they are safe now." Sesshomaru walked slowly into the forest, leaving a blood train behind him. Rin huffed after and asked again. "SESSHOMARU, AS YOUR WIFE I EXPECT YOU TO BE HONEST, DID I OR DID I NOT INFLICT THOSE WOUNDS?!" Sesshomaru knew he could not keep it from her, so he nodded and replied "Yes." And kept walking. Rin lowered her head in sadness and replied "Oh I see..." "It's fine Rin, these wounds are nothing, let's keep moving."

After telling the villagers what had happened, they all thanked Rin and Sesshomaru and returned to their homes. Sesshomaru, Rin, and Jaken headed back to the mansion with another mission accomplished, along with a painful memory.
