Chapter 32

Murder solved, new beginnings…. (Part 1 of 2)

**Wow, the end of the series….. I still can't believe it…. I must say, it sure has been hard portraying Sesshomaru's personality. I had to watch Inuyasha several times to understand him. However, I gave him more emotion and facial expressions. Making him one of the main characters was really fun and I enjoyed it. Now that this series is over, I look forward to doing it again in the sequel to this story: A Strong Bond Series: Together for all eternity, Sesshomaru and Rin. Thank you for all of your support and feedback. SO here it is, the final chapter of A Strong Bond, Sesshomaru and Rin***

((Sorry it took so long! Enjoy!)

After burying the family, the group went to Kaede's village to visit. Sesshomaru went into Kaede's hut to wait for Rin. He wasn't one to "socialize" and Rin was fine with that.

"Well Rin, what brings you here again?"

Kagome said, giving Rin some tea. She then waddled around the hut, making lunch. After having her daughter Tuskino, her son Sota, who she named after her brother, she was pregnant again. Yep, she and Inuyasha were VERY BUSY. Rin sipped her tea and replied.

"Miss Kagome, do not tell me you're getting tired of me, ha-ha."

Kagome laughed and sat next to Rin and replied.

"No, you just don't visit this often. You were here 4 days ago."

Rin smiled and replied.

"Sesshomaru and the children and I have moved into the manor a mile from here. We wanted—well- I wanted to move closer to you and everyone in this village. After all, you Sango and Miroku are my family."

Kagome gleamed and hugged Rin.

"Oh Rin, I am so happy for you!"

Kagome exclaimed, smiling from ear to ear. Inuyasha had returned, with logs for the fire place. He scoffed and spoke while setting them down.

"What are two gleaming about?"

Kagome laughed and lifted herself up then put her hand on Inuyasha's shoulder.

"Rin and Sesshomaru have moved into the manor 1 mile from here. Now we will see them every day!"

Inuyasha rolled his eyes and lit the fire place with a sarcastic reply.

"Oh whoopee I am so thrilled."

Kagome glared at Inuyasha for a moment then returned her attention back to Rin.

"So Rin, how was the move? I bet it was tiring traveling four days here nonstop."

Rin sighed, as she was unsure of what to say about the bodies of the family Sesshomaru found. She thought from Inuyasha and Kagome's previous adventures, they would know where to look.

"Uhh, well, we found an unexpected surprise."

Rin said, finally starting the conversation to lead up to the dead bodies. Inuyasha helped Kagome sit down and spoke.

"What do ya mean?"

Rin sighed and finally replied, putting her hand on her stomach, trying to not let her stress harm her unborn child.

"Well, when we were unpacking, Sesshomaru found a dead family in the basement. The children were not as mutilated as the parents, indicating that the killer was a family member."

Kagome gasped in distress, then replied.

"Oh no, that's awful!"

Inuyasha chuckled and spoke out.

"Ha-ha, I bet he was quite amused with that!"

Rin glared at Inuyasha. She turned to Kagome and frowned. Kagome nodded and said the usual command.

"Inuyasha SIT!"

"Ughh!"

As Inuyasha fell to the ground Kagome spoke while walking Rin out.

"You would think after 6 years of marriage he would have matured by now."

Rin nodded and replied while holding her pregnant belly under her arm.

"Yes, we shall see in the next 6 years."

Kagome laughed and spoke.

"Well, we are behind you in this, whatever you need, we are here for you."

Rin went to hug Kagome, then their bellies collided. They laughed and kept walking around the village. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru was waiting impatiently in the hut. He rolled his eyes and finally lost it, entering Kagome and Inuyasha's house. There he saw, what used to be his obnoxious younger brother, was now a family man. Inuyasha had a bump on his head, indicating that he was recently told to sit. He was also rocking his son Sota and patting Tuskino's head as she coloured with the last of the crayons Kagome brought over long ago from the future. Sesshomaru smirked and leaned up against the wall.

"Well, look at you. Finally set aside your childish ways."

Sesshomaru said, grinning. Inuyasha chuckled darkly and replied.

"Funny, I was going to say the exact same thing to you."

Sesshomaru smirked slightly and replied.

"Whatever, where is Rin?"

Inuyasha tended to the logs in the fireplace and spoke.

"Kagome and she went for a walk. Pretty sure they are down by the lake chatting away and what not."

Sesshomaru nodded and left with haste. Inuyasha chuckled and went back to his "family man" duties.

Down by the lake….

"So, how do you think you will solve this murder Rin?"

Kagome asked. Rin sighed and replied.

"I did not think of that. I suppose I will start with the locals. I will ask them what the family was like, who they associated with. ALSO, I will ask who lived there with the family."

Kagome nodded and sat on a park bench. Inuyasha and she built it together a year after marriage.

"Yes, that is a good start"

Kagome said, fixing her kimono. Rin nodded and sat next to her and replied.

"Yes, I just hope I find something, anything to get a lead."

Just then, Sesshomaru emerged from the bushes.

"Rin, we must go now."

Rin sighed and nodded, following Sesshomaru. They both headed home.

So after resting for a bit, Rin went about the local village, asking villagers about the family that lived there. The family was named Hoshiomi, very rich blood line. Their ancestors settled there since the beginning of time, which made the house very old. Apparently they had a lot of enemy's. Rin jotted down every single word the villagers said.

"I heard they have an older son, he was staying there for the time being. He then vanished, I bet it was him"

Rin nodded at a local villager and wrote her quote down, mentioning an older sibling. After taking many notes, Rin went home. She went into the den and looked at all her notes. She was not going to give up. She was going to solve the murder, then kill the murderer. She sighed, as she was already stumped. She needed more clues, a sign that would help her. She decided to take a nap. She carried her notes into the bedroom and put them down on the night stand. She then wandered around the house. It was old, as in ancient samurai old. She then slid open the living room door to find Jaken asleep on the sofa. She chuckled and went into the library, sliding the doors open and closed. She looked at all the dusty books, looking for answers. So far, nothing. She huffed in frustration and sat by the window. She then saw another door in the corner of the room. She looked at it curiously. Perhaps there is something in there, some family private records perhaps? She went over to the door and tried to slide it open; locked. Frustrated, Rin kicked the door. She then headed to the kitchen, when the door slid open. Rin turned around and gulped. Just then Master Jaken showed up.

"Rin, you have to eat now—what are you doing?!"

"Master Jaken, there is something in that room, come with me."

Rin picked up Master Jaken by the head and dragged him in the room.

"Rin! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

Jaken demanded. Rin rolled her eyes and spoke.

"Quiet, help me look."

Confused, Jaken spoke sarcastically.

"What exactly am I looking for?"

Rin smiled and replied.

"A family secret."
