"speaking"

Rin woke up happy the next morning, a habit she was really beginning to embrace. Sesshomaru had surprised her the night before and taken her for a nice simple night walk through a local park, he told her more about himself some of the things she had imagined that most people had to spend years observing him to learn. It was a very peaceful moment.

Today I'm going to pick out the cake. She remembered. Sesshomaru was happy to be getting married, but he didn't care at all about the details going into making the wedding actually happen. "You can do as you please, just make sure you're standing next to me at the alter." Is what he'd said when she'd asked him his opinion on the colors for the event.

The staff now consisted of two wedding planers and a promoter picked out by her father so that she wouldn't get overwhelmed by all of the details or forget anything. Rin was thankful for the help too, she'd never seen a wedding and had not realized how much work went into setting one up.

Today is cake testing, putting together a list for the formal invitations, and getting the rest of the menu set up. She thought as she got ready.

Izayoi and her mother were getting the final details done on the dress she'd picked out. Rin stopped and smiled at the memory of how she looked and felt in her dress, she hadn't wanted to take it off.

"Hey there sweetie!" Her mother said popping up out of nowhere, "I decided that if there is anyone from up there that will be attending the event then we should make the invitations for them today, while we're eating breakfast."

Rin quickly nodded.

Another thing making her so happy was that she was getting to spend so much time with her mother. Normally her mother was far too busy to spend more than an hour or so with her every other weekend. So during breakfast she and her mother began the task of writing out the announcements and invitations. They barely made t half way through the Kami and other apparitions that would be in attendance and would work on the demons and humans the next time they met up with Izayoi.

"What is left to do?" Her mother asked.

-Sesshomaru and I are to spend the afternoon picking out our menu.- Rin wrote.

"Don't go too traditional with it, that'll just be boring." Her mother teased.

Rin smiled, she wasn't going traditional at all...especially with the colors she picked for the whole thing. Sesshomaru didn't care how it looked so long as it made her happy and got him a few more brownie points.

Orange, white, and a very pale yellow. Those were the colors his intended had picked, and from the stack of invitations on the table there were a lot of the very powerful people coming to the event.

Yes, Izayoi had told him all about the fight between their mothers at the dress shop, and that Rin's mother was a in fact a Kami. But because Rin herself was so powerful it led him to wonder how much of her was actually human. She smelled completely human, and possesses so many other completely human attributes from what he had seen of her personality. These were the thoughts plaguing him as he drove to the restaurant he'd chosen to cater the lunch and the reception.

The wedding would be held in the afternoon so that he could spend the morning finishing up some last minute work at the office before they left for their honeymoon.

Their ceremony would be held outdoors in a very large very beautiful garden to complement not only Rin's love of flowers, but the chosen color scheme as well. Sesshomaru also enjoyed the outdoors. The garden had already begun to bloom and would be in full bloom on the day of.

Kagome was tired not too tired to meet with Izayoi and try on the dresses that they would be wearing to the wedding. She'd even brought along Hiro to spend time with his grandmother and get a cute little outfit for him as well.

"So you forgave him, but you have no intention of going back to him?" Izayoi asked when they had stopped for lunch. Kagome had explained what was going on between she and Inuyasha.

"I used to trust him with everything...my life especially." Kagome sighed, "but doing what he did...I wouldn't trust him carrying a carton of eggs for me."

"I would imagine it's hard to trust some one who would just shatter your heart like that." Izayoi nodded in agreement.

"Exactly, and he keeps trying to act as though nothing happened. The way he acts you'd think I'd just suffered from an over abundance of hormones and stormed out." Kagome huffed, "now he's trying to pick up where we left off."

"Well, just do what you think is best. Don't let him off easy." Izayoi said.
"Believe me I'm not." Kagome assured her.
