AN: You will see some of the changes I made in previous chapters in this chapter. Gunsnroses here's your guys chapter. Once again I am not JK Rowling.
Sirius POV
I had been right. Hannah wasn't upset at all. The moment Hermione had walked into the room Hannah had grabbed her hand and asked if she was alright. Bloody Hufflepuffs only cared about others, never a thought for herself.
"I would push anyone out of the way of the Cruciatis Curse Hermione." Hannah said her blue eyes wide. "Even a Slytherin. No one deserves to have that put on them."
Hannah, Hermione, Ginny and Luna started chatting together trying to catch each other up on gossip. I quietly left the room and opened the abandoned classroom where the guys were hanging out. There seemed to be some type of argument going on.
"Sirius tell Neville he's being mental!" Harry yelled turning on me.
"I have every right to go after that wanker!" Neville yelled his eyes slightly mad. I had never seen him so unhinged.
"Neville Theodore's already being sent back to Azkaban and I have it on good authority that he has been expelled from Hogwarts." I said slowly walking into the room. All the fight seemed to drain out of him and he slumped to the ground.
"How can you stand it?" Neville asked his face in his hands. "I love her and all I want to do is protect her."
"I felt the same way Neville, that's why I married Hermione to keep her safe and so I could feel connected to her." I said sitting next to him.
"Yeah I'm looking into rings for Ginny." Harry said softly a faint blush on his cheeks. Good for him he deserved happiness more than anyone else I knew. We all turned to look at Ron. He blushed a deep red and cleared his throat nervously.
"I er um..." Ron mumbled bright red.
"What?" We all asked at once. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. Neville's eyes were as round as saucers, Harry laughed happily and I clapped him on the back. He popped open the box. Nestled in the silk was a braided gold band with a small diamond on the top. It made me think of Luna.
"When will you propose?" I asked a huge smile on my face.
"Not sure yet. I want to make sure its special." A large smile spread across his face and he laughed. "Who would have thought we would be here a year ago?"
"I liked Hannah, I always thought she was pretty." Neville said his eyes bright.
"What about you Harry?" Ron asked turning to Harry. He shifted uncomfortably darting a look at Ron.
"It was really hard for me to admit my feelings honestly. First there was the whole 'she's Ron's sister.' Second was the whole crush she had on me when we were younger." He shook his head his eyes bright. "She had a bad habit of embarrassing herself in front of me. And I wasn't sure if she liked me for me or for the fact that I was 'Harry Potter the Boy Who Lived' I wanted it to be real."
"You know, mate, if you had just talked to me about it you could have started dating earlier." Ron said shaking his head.
"Its terrifying falling for you best friend's sister." Harry said shaking his head. "I had nightmares of you offing me with a beater bat." We all laughed at that while Harry blushed in embarrassment.
"No wonder you were always so pale in the morning." Neville said snickering.
"Still if you had just asked -"
"Ron think of it the other way." I said between Neville's fits of laughter. "Imagine Harry had a beautiful sister who had always been crazy about you then gave up and started dating other blokes. Every once in awhile she would catch your eye or flip her hair a certain way that made her perfume hit you in the face like Amortentia. How would you feel telling Harry?" Ron shifted uncomfortably and I nodded in understanding.
"Not so easy anymore." I said slowly watching him.
"How did you deal with it mate?" Ron asked watching Harry.
"It was not easy at all. When I smelled the Amortentia in Slughorn's class I knew it was Ginny's perfume." Harry sighed and shook his head. "It just reiterated the fact that I loved her."
"But by then you were already dating." Neville said sitting up.
"I was thinking about breaking up with her to protect her." He muttered running his hand through his hair.
"Again?" I asked my eyes wide. Merlin they had too many issues.
"Well the whole Voldemort thing makes dating difficult." Harry said shrugging. "But seeing her so broken after I broke up with her." Harry shook his head his eyes dark. "I'm never doing that again. I love her and she loves me I just need to accept that."
"Thank Merlin. If you broke up with her again you know we would have to go after you." Ron said shaking his head. At our confused looks he smiled. "Family code."
"So Sirius," Neville said turning to me. "Did you see yourself here a year ago?"
"Lets see," I muttered thinking. "A year ago I was under house arrest because it was believed I had a hand in the murder of my best friend and his wife and the killing of twelve muggles and a wizard." Harry twitched but didn't say anything.
"I was also dating Hermione in secret even though she was of age. People have issues with the thought of you dating a mad murderer." I shrugged nonchalantly. Neville's lips twitched and Ron chuckled.
"I was also madly in love with her and going a little stir crazy being locked up in the house all the time." I shook my head frowning. "But I was just beginning to think about marriage at that point."
"Were you really?" Harry asked his eyes wide.
"Yeah I was but I only told Remus what I was thinking about." I said flicking a piece of hair out of my eyes.
"Wow." Neville said in a hushed voice.
"Yeah. Sometimes its still hard to believe I'm happily married." I muttered shaking my head a large smile on my face.
"You two are good for each other." Neville said smiling. "It was easy to see how much you cared about her after the Department of Mysteries fiasco."
"I still have nightmares about that." I confessed tapping my hand.
"I do too." Ron said his face pale. "How mental do you have to be to accio brains form a tank."
"You weren't yourself Ron." Harry said leaning back stretching his arms. "Besides I went after Bellatrix when I thought she killed Hermione." I shivered and looked down at my wedding band trying to force the memories away. A wave of love came through our bond and I smiled. Hermione was trying to make me feel better even though she wasn't in the same room.
"Enough of the heavy lets talk about something else." I said changing the subject.
"Did you hear what happened with the Chudley Cannons?" Ron asked excitedly. I groaned, they were the worst team in the league. How he loved them so much I had no idea. The talk quickly changed to quidditch and we were debating between the teams.
"I still say I prefer the Holyhead Harpies." Harry said emphatically. I snickered and leaned against the wall. The door suddenly flew open and we turned to look at it in unison. Hermione, Luna and Ginny came marching in mischievous smiles on their faces. I darted a glance at the others and they looked nervous.
"Neville?" Ginny said sweetly. I swallowed loudly as Hermione sat next to me. Determination was flowing through the bond.
"Yeah?" He squeaked then cleared his throat. "What's up?"
"Hannah really wants to see you. Something about needing help with some sore muscles and wanting a massage." Ginny said smiling innocently. Neville flushed bright red then jumped to his feet.
"Yeah, I can help with that." He muttered rushing out of the room. Hermione was snickering next to me and I looked down at her surprised.
"What was that about?" I asked softly so only she could hear.
"Hannah wanted a little help to give Neville a little push in her direction." She said shaking her head. "I just hope Madame Pomfrey doesn't yell at him." I laughed and threw my arm around her shoulder.
"How would you like a little massage?" I whispered grazing her ear with my teeth. She shivered and gave a little breathy moan. Suddenly she jumped up her cheeks flushed.
"I just forgot I had some homework to do. Sirius do you think you could help me?" I barely nodded when she jerked me up and started rushing out the door.
"Can't you walk faster?" She hissed as we darted down the hall towards the Room of Requirement. I laughed and she threw a glare over her shoulder at me. She darted in front of the wall but nothing appeared.
"Someone must be using it." I muttered. Hermione swore darkly and I laughed. She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards an empty classroom surprising a small first year who dropped some scales. I flicked up silencing and locking charms as fast as I could before she shut the door. It was a good thing too because Hermione's lips slammed against mine a moment later.
