AN: Okay readers I have some bad news. Now that it is summer I won't be updating as much as I did in the spring. I will update as much as I can but it might not always be every day. Once again I am not JK Rowling.
I leaned against the wall in the Room of Requirement with Sarah. I was teaching her how to correctly produce a shield charm.
"This is so stupid! Why can't I get this?" She asked flicking her wand. Unfortunately her wand was pointing towards a mirror and rebounded off of it and hit her chest. She shrieked and flew back into the wall.
"Sarah!" I yelled jumping up. Her blue eyes were dazed and there was blood in her blonde hair.
"Did I do it?" She asked faintly. I smiled down at her sadly and shook my head.
"Lets try something else." I said pulling her up next to me. She shook out her hair and smiled shakily at me. I turned my back on her and let out a heavy breath. "Attack me."
It took her a moment to respond. "What?"
"Attack me." I repeated staring at the other students in the room. They were throwing curses back and forth but it didn't seem like they were into it.
Sarah sighed and took a deep breath. When she was about to call out I flicked my wand at her. She shrieked as her wand rolled towards me. I picked it up and turned to give it back to her.
"Try again." It took Sarah twenty minutes to be able to hit me with a curse. Her face was red and blotchy with frustration by the time Sirius called us all to stop. He had been half-heartedly dueling Severus most of the time in the corner of the room.
"Okay lets try something different for a change." Sirius said rubbing his hands together a mischievous smile on his face. I swallowed thickly. Oh Merlin whatever his idea was could potentially be bad. "Lets play a little game."
"What kind of game?" Romilda asked her eyes flicking around nervously.
"Its a surprise." Sirius said a brilliant smile spreading across his face. Girls were exchanging nervous looks but the guys looked excited.
"Okay we need a volunteer." Hands shot up all over the place. Sirius picked Colin Creevey and he excitedly went to the front of the room bouncing on the balls of his feet.
"Now you all get to pick who he will duel." Gasps were heard around the room and some laughed. Colin paled slightly but kept the smile on his face. I had to admit the kid was brave.
"Duel Granger!" Susan Bones yelled smiling. There were some murmurs of approval. I looked at the floor frowning. That would not be a fair fight at all.
"What about Luna?" I asked my voice shaking. There was even more agreement with that. I sighed and leaned against the wall as Luna made her way to the front of the room wand in hand. She smiled politely at Colin.
"When I say 'go' you may begin." Sirius said stepping back next to Severus. Severus was smirking and Sirius was smiling. "Go!"
Luna and Colin bowed to each other and slowly started to circle each other. Colin raised his wand and yelled, "Confringo!" Luna yelped and dodged the curse that exploded against the ground. A huge hole was in the middle of where they were dueling.
"Engorgio!" Colin's nose was rapidly growing and he hastily fixed it.
"Levicorpus!" Luna was hoisted into the air and her skirt fell down to reveal bright pink shorts with yellow poca dots. Ron's ears turned red and he looked ready to intervene when Luna yelled, "Ducklifors."
Colin immediately shrunk into a duck and started quacking. Everyone laughed and Luna flicked her wand and landed gracefully on her feet.
"Did I win?" She asked vaguely her eyes wide.
"Yes I would say she did." Sirius said waving his wand. Colin turned back into his usual self and doubled over laughing.
"Who next?" Sirius asked smiling brightly. Their were less hands this time but whoever raised them were eager to prove themselves.
"Ginny why don't you try." Ginny smiled and darted to the front of the room an eager smile on her face. I was suddenly reminded of Tonks and a large smile spread across my face.
"Who should I duel?" She asked looking around at everyone her eyes bright.
"Seamus!"
"Dean!"
"Padma!"
"Romilda!" The names came so fast it was hard to keep them straight.
"What about Potter?" Michael Corner asked leaning against the wall a smirk spreading across his face. Ginny's eyes opened wide and her mouth dropped open in shock as all the blood drained from her face.
"YEAH POTTER!" Everyone was staring at Harry now. He shifted uncomfortably but eventually walked up to the front to the students approval. They cheered and high fived each other. Ginny was biting her lip so hard it was white. Harry and Ginny bowed to each other then straightened to look at each other.
"Don't hold back." Ginny said holding her wand at her side.
"Don't worry, Love, I wont." Harry said his green eyes bright. One moment they were standing there smiling at each other and the next they were throwing hexes back and forth so fast their arms blurred with the speed. Ginny held her own for awhile but it didn't take Harry long to get the upper hand. He brandished his wand like a sword and it sliced through the air like a knife.
Ginny was panting her hair slightly crazy. She tossed one last bat bogey hex before Harry hit her with a spell.
"Petrificus Totalus!" Ginny's arms snapped to her sides and she fell back with a dull thud. Harry unfroze her and helped her to her feet.
"Better luck next time, Love." Harry said as Sirius walked to the front of the room a smile spreading across his face.
"That was rather entertaining." Some of the kids smiled and nodded Sirius smiled back.
"Now I have someone I would like to volunteer into a duel." Everyone turned to look at me and I shifted uncomfortably my cheeks lighting up into a blush.
"No I'm not talking about my wife." He said a huge grin spreading across his face. "I was thinking more along the lines of Severus Snape."
