AN: There will be more Remus Sirius interaction when we see through Sirius' eyes. We will also be seeing the death eaters going after the muggleborns. I'll also have to come up with some kind of plan for Hermione's parents since their memories won't be modified. Once again I am not JK Rowling.

I stood in front of the large mirror the Room of Requirement had provided me and smoothed my hands nervously down my black dress. My eyes were red and puffy from crying. Sarah's funeral had been the day before and I still hadn't figured out a way to honor my sweet little friend. Dumbledore's funeral would be starting soon. My heart clenched in my chest. All I wanted to do was scream to let out the horrible clawing sensation inside of me.

Tears slipped down my cheeks and I turned away from my reflection. I could barely stand the pain in my eyes. It hurt, everything hurt.

"Sweetheart?" Sirius said softly placing his hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him dully sniffling softly. "Its time."

Sirius slipped his hand in mine and silently led me towards the grounds. Harry and the others joined us as we passed Gryffindor tower. No one cared about houses any longer, the Patil twins were sharing Parvati's bed at night and it was rumored that one Slytherin had left their house to switch to Gryffindor. I didn't know if it was true or not but the thought made me smile.

Our small group headed out the doors and Sirius led me towards the lake. Hundreds of chairs had been set out in rows and there was an aisle down the middle.

An odd assortment of people were already here sitting, waiting, to say their final goodbye to the most brilliant wizard of our time. Most of the people I didn't recognize but some I did. Most of the Order took up the seats towards the front that weren't taken up by people from the ministry. Some other people I recognized from a passing glance were from Hogsmeade or worked in Diagon Alley.

"Hum-hum." I froze and looked up slowly at the sound. My eyes darted up of their own accord and my mouth dropped open in shock. Delores Umbridge was making her way towards the front with Percy Weasley beside her. I made a noise of disgust and clenched my hand that had the words I must follow rules on the back. All I wanted was to Avada the evil woman. The world would be better off without her.

"No." Sirius whispered in my ear. I clenched my hands and nodded but didn't say anything.

Harry closed his hand around Ginny's and slowly led her up the aisle. I looked at Ginny and frowned when something hit the sunlight just right. My eyes widened and I blinked to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. Hanging on a gold necklace was a simple wedding band with a diamond. Why did that look familiar?

"It was Lily's." Sirius whispered leading me towards the others who had already taken a seat.

"How did you possibly -" I started my eyes wide.

"I," he blew out a heavy breath and closed his eyes. "I saved it for Harry before I ran after Peter. Actually I grabbed a handful of things from their house and hid them in Grimmauld Place so Kreacher or even Dung couldn't find them."

"Your a good man Sirius Black." I whispered squeezing his hand. He smiled at me and kissed my cheek before turning back to the front.

Tonks quietly sat down next to me and slipped her hand into mine. "You doing okay?"

"As well as can be expected." I said shrugging. "Where's Remus?"

"He should be here in a moment." Tonks muttered her eyes darting around. Remus came up the aisle a moment later. He was paler than usual and his hair had more gray than the last time I had seen him. Remus quietly sat down next to Tonks and slipped his hand into hers a small grimace on his face.

I was about to ask him what was wrong when strange otherworldly music started that made my heart clench horribly. Some of the people jumped alarmed looking around for the source but I was too busy staring at Hagrid as he slowly made his way to the front holding Dumbledore's body that had been wrapped up in a purple velvet cloth with gold stars. Tears were streaming down Hagrid's face and I closed my eyes. If only he hadn't touched the horcrux! He would still be alive. The four of us could have figured out a way to cure him. How could he possibly knowingly leave us when we needed his help to destroy Voldemort?

A strained broken sound escaped my mouth and I quickly clamped a hand over my mouth. This could not be happening. I couldn't possibly be attending Dumbledore's funeral. He was still alive. He had to be! Sirius' arm slipped around my waist and he pulled me against his side. Tears streamed down my face and I didn't bother to wipe them away.

A small man in a black suit made his way to the front and started talking. He made a lengthy speech about how wonderful Albus Dumbledore was and all the things he had done for the wizarding world. This man obviously had never met Dumbledore or at least hadn't known him like we did.

Tears hit my hair and I looked up at Sirius. His eyes were squeezed shut and he was breathing heavily. I thought of how much I loved Sirius and how much he meant to me and forced those feelings through our bond. His eyes fluttered open after a moment and he gave me a pained smile for my effort.

The short man finished speaking after a moment and wandered back to his seat. Who would speak next? I looked around waiting and jumped a moment later when bright white light erupted around Dumbledore's tomb. Several people screamed and I quickly looked around for the source. The light expanded and turned into a flaming phoenix then dissipated as if it had never been there. Now enclosing the table where Dumbledore had been lain was a white tomb.

Arrows flew through the air and more people screamed. It was the centaur's tribute. I turned and watched them run into the forest their bows at their sides. The mermaids slipped beneath the surface of the lake and sang one final note.

Hannah was crying silently as Neville held her, Luna looked the most depressed I had ever seen her and she had her cheek pressed against Ron's shoulder, Tonks was silently crying and Remus was trying to comfort her as best he could and Harry was quietly talking to Ginny.

"You want me to what?" She asked raising her eyebrows in surprise. Everyone else seemed too preoccupied to notice but I watched them closely.

"Don't put the ring on till after we win." Harry whispered his voice soft.

"But there's a chance we won't!" She whispered fiercly. "I would rather elope and have a little bit of happiness before you leave."

"No Ginny your not of age." Harry said shaking his head his eyes pained.

"But I love you!"

"I know and I love you too but we shouldn't. I can't stand the thought of you being alone." He whispered then stood up and walked over to the waters edge. The minister wandered over to him and they started chatting quietly.

"Ginny are you okay?" I asked softly looking at her. She scrubbed at her cheeks trying to rub away the stains from her tears.

"Fine." She said then stood up and smoothed out her black dress before walking over to Tonks and made idle chit chat. Ron's face was red when he spotted Percy leading Umbridge up the aisle.

"I'll be right back." I muttered to Sirius and stood up.

"Come back quickly." He muttered softly then rubbed his eyes.

"Don't do it Ron it won't help anyone." I said grabbing his hand and dragging him towards where Harry was standing.

"Look, let me go back and hit Percy!" Ron said his eyes flashing.

"No," I said firmly, grabbing his arm.

"It'll make me feel better!"

Harry laughed. Even I grinned a little, though I almost sobered immediately when I caught site of the castle. They were talking about closing the castle and even if they didn't Harry would go on the run searching for the Horcruxes.

"I can't bear the idea that we might never come back." I said softly. "How can Hogwarts close?"

"Maybe it won't," Ron said. "We're not in any more danger here than we are at home, are we? Every where's the same now. I'd even say Hogwarts is safer, there are more wizards inside to defend the place. What d'you reckon, Harry?"
"I'm not coming back even if it does reopen," Harry said his voice soft.

Ron gaped at him, but I had a feeling he would say that all along. "I knew you were going to say that. But then what will you do?"

"I'm going back to the Dursleys' once more, because Dumbledore wanted me to," Harry said looking at the castle. "But it'll be a short visit, and then I'll be gone for good."

"But where will you go if you don't come back to school?" Ron asked his face pale. Did Harry notice how his eyes flicked to Ginny?

"I thought I might go back to Godric's Hollow," Harry muttered his eyes clearing of pain for a moment. "For me, it started there, all of it. I've just got a feeling I need to go there. And I can visit my parents' graves, I'd like that."

"And then what?" Ron asked nervously running a hand through his hair.

"Then I've got to track down the rest of the Horcruxes, haven't I?" Harry said looking at Dumbledore's tomb. "That's what he wanted me to do, that's why he told me all about them. If Dumbledore was right — and I'm sure he was — there are still four of them out there. I've got to find them and destroy them and then I've got to go after the seventh bit of Voldemort's soul, the bit that's still in his body, and I'm the one who's going to kill him. And if I meet Severus Snape along the way," he added, "so much the better tor me, so much the worse for him."

My heart stuttered painfully in my chest. No wonder Severus thought he wouldn't survive. Everyone hated him!

"We'll be there, Harry," Ron said grim determination crossing his face. I nodded quickly in agreement.

"What?"

"At your aunt and uncle's house," said Ron. "And then we'll go with you, wherever you're going."

"No —" Harry said quickly shaking his head. Why did he think he had to do everything alone?

"You said to us once before," I said quietly biting my lip "that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We've had time, haven't we?"

"We're with you whatever happens," Ron said "But, mate, you're going to have to come round my mum and dad's house before we do anything else, even Godric's Hollow."

"Why?" Harry asked lifting an eyebrow

"Bill and Fleur's wedding, remember?" Ron said slowly as if talking to someone who was thick.

"Yeah, we shouldn't miss that."
