AN: Once again I am not JK Rowling.
I was sifting through my old books trying to figure out what I would need in the upcoming hunt. Thanks to Severus we had plenty of potions that could help with the inevitable injuries we would get. I was sitting cross-legged on the floor staring at Hogwarts a History trying to decide if I could really part with it.
"Hermione?" Sirius called from the hallway.
"In here!" I called back finally placing my favorite book on the keep pile. Sirius strode into the room his hair disheveled as if he had been running his hands through it and his face pale.
"Everything alright?" I asked picking up Spellman's Syllabry and absently flipped through it. What were the chances Voldemort knew ancient runes?
"Hermione, we need to talk." My stomach jumped nervously and I looked up at him slowly. That phrase did not bode well.
"Okay, what about?" I asked carefully placing the book on the keep pile.
"Hey," he said kneeling in front of me and touched my cheek softly. "You don't need to be so scared its nothing as bad as your feeling."
"Then why are you so pale?" I asked squinting my eyes at him.
"I just don't like what I'm about to ask." He muttered blowing out a heavy breath.
"What is it?" I asked looking him over. He really didn't look like himself.
"The Order is talking about making a new escape plan for Harry." I furrowed my brows thinking. Why would they need a new one?
"Why?" I asked blowing a curl out of my eyes.
"Well mostly because of Severus." Sirius muttered rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Since he has gone back to Voldemort he will have told him everything. He honestly has no choice. Harry won't be safe if we remove him on the thirty-first through the ministry. They have too many death-eaters and imperiused people on their side."
"Where do I come into this?" I asked pushing my hair away from my face.
"Dung kind of came up with a brilliant idea in exchange for not having to help in removing Harry form his aunt and uncle's place." Sirius said running his hands through his hair making it even messier.
"Okay...?" I said slowly waiting.
"They want your help so we have enough people." Sirius said slowly lifting his head so he could look at me. I froze my eyes wide.
"What exactly would we be doing?" I asked watching Sirius as he stared at the different piles I had placed around the floor.
"Moody wants to tell you himself since he is the leader of the Order now. The meeting is tonight." Sirius said his voice soft.
"How upset would you be if I did this?" I asked standing up slowly to stretch out my back.
"Honestly I loathe the idea of you being put in harms way but it can't be helped." Sirius said shaking his head. "All I want to do is keep you safe."
"I wish it was that easy." I said placing my hand against his cheek. Sirius smiled up at me slowly and placed his over mine.
"So who else will be joining in this crazy charade?" I asked walking over to our closet to look for a sweater.
"Not completely sure yet. I know Arthur is talking to Ron about it right now. Remus is for sure and right now he's trying to talk Tonks out of volunteering." I whipped around quickly to look at Sirius my eyes wide.
"Please tell me your joking." I whispered feeling light headed.
"I wish I were but Tonks wants to be in the thick of things with everyone else." Sirius muttered shaking his head.
"Think there is any way I can talk her out of it? Or what if I found a replacement person?" I asked hopefully trying to wrack my brains for someone who was a good fighter. The only person I could think of was Severus! He was the best dueler I knew.
"I don't even know if that would help." Sirius said shaking his head. I paced back and forth trying to think of anyone who could take her place. I stopped thinking tapping a finger against my leg.
"What about Ginny?" I asked pacing back and forth.
"Molly won't let her help even though Arthur thinks she should." Sirius said shaking his head.
"Charlie?" I asked pushing my fingers through my hair.
"He won't be able to get off of work till the day before the wedding." Sirius said sitting on the edge of our bed and picked up a book from the discarded pile.
I continued to pace back and forth thinking then paused a frown on my face. "What about -"
"I'M GOING TO HELP AND THAT'S FINAL!" Tonks voice was heard from the hallway as her footsteps pounded up the steps.
"Merlin." Sirius sighed shaking his head. Tonks came into the room her cheeks flushed and her eyes glazed with anger.
"Hey Tonks." I said weekly and waved my hand at her.
"I'M NOT DONE TALKING ABOUT THIS!" Remus yelled running up the steps a moment later my baby brother started to cry.
"Come on guys there's a baby in the house!" I exclaimed looking between Tonks and Remus who came pounding into the room a moment later his eyes livid. Both of them looked sheepish then a moment later it was masked. I waved my wand and silenced the room before the yelling started again.
"Hermione would you please talk some sense into my wife?" Remus asked darkly glaring at Tonks. Tonks glared right back at him unaffected by the anger that was radiating off of him.
"Sirius would you please tell your best friend that I will be perfectly safe during this mission?" Tonks asked glaring at her husband.
"You don't know that Kitten could you really risk our baby for this?" Remus asked running a hand through his graying hair.
"What if there's no one else who could help?" Tonks asked her eyes flashing red.
"Then we blackmail Dung into it." Remus said shrugging as if that would fix all our problems. I turned to look at Remus and raised my eyebrow even Sirius looked skeptical.
"Remus that will never work! Dung would just Apparate away when things got bad! I need to be there its as simple as that. There isn't anyone -"
"Wait there is someone else we could talk to." I said rubbing my hand against my neck.
"Who?" Remus asked his eyes sparkling with hope.
"Neville Longbottom."
