AN: Once again I am not JK Rowling.

Ever since Moody told us that the death eaters wanted me Sirius wouldn't let me out of his sight. He kept a constant watch on me and requested I didn't leave the house. It wasn't hard to fulfill that request. I didn't have any reason to leave the house.

Right now Sirius and I were working on my last minute packing. He had helped me put an undetectable extension charm on the little innocuous bag I wanted to use and a featherlight charm.

I was putting one book after another into the bag setting them in alphabetical order so it would be easy to find the one I wanted. Next I put in all the clothes I could possibly need and any necessary toiletries. I would get the boys' things tomorrow when we would go to get Harry. It was harder than I thought it would be to shove the tent and the miscellaneous cooking utensils into the bag.

"Do you really think you'll need all of this?" Sirius asked picking up a large container of salt.

"I think it would help for when food is possibly hard to come by." I said shrugging nonchalantly. Sirius frowned at me his eyes dark.

"Do you plan on having difficulties finding food?" He asked putting a large case of pepper into the bag.

"I'm trying to be prepared for anything." I said starting in on Severus' bottles. There were so many of them it took awhile to put them all in there.

"Why would you possibly need a muggle first aid kit?" Sirius asked lifting up the little white box with the red cross on the front.

"Like I said I'm trying to be ready for anything." I muttered grabbing the case from him and set it in the bag.

"Does that stuff really work?" Sirius asked looking into the bag.

"Yes it does." I muttered stuffing some miscellaneous things into the bag.

"Sweetheart you need to relax." Sirius said placing his hands on my shoulders.

"I am relaxed." I said immediately. No I wasn't. We both knew that. He could feel how nervous and tense I was through our bond. I was trying to hide it from him but honestly what was the point? He could always read my emotions.

"No Sweetheart your not." Sirius said sliding his hands down my arms. He slipped hand into mine and pulled me towards the bed. A powerful wave of love hit me and I had to sit on the bed to steady myself. Sirius sat down next me and pulled me into his arms. "What's wrong?"

"I'm nervous about tomorrow." I whispered slowly trying not to look at him.

"You don't have to do it." Sirius said immediately rubbing his hand up and down my arm. "No one would think less of you for it."

"I would." I muttered shaking my head.

"Hermione there's nothing wrong with saying your afraid to do something. If anything it makes you even stronger just to admit it. You, my sweet wife, are one of the bravest people I know." I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him. "No I'm serious. You have been through so much and have been strong through all of it. Names, hexes, duels in the halls, you faced each unknown with your head held high."

"Well when you say it like that..." I muttered trailing off.

"And anyway Harry would be ecstatic if you didn't volunteer for tomorrow. He's going to be furious about the polyjuice potion." Sirius said smirking.

"I just hope he tastes better than Millicent Bulstrode's cat." I muttered making a face. "But that's not what I'm worried about."

"Oh, the death eaters, of course. Moody promised me he would keep you safe at all costs. They won't get you Sweetheart if -"

"I'm not worried of that Sirius I'm worried about you." I said sitting up to look at him. His mouth was open in surprise his eyebrows furrowed in thought.

"Why would you be worried about me?" He asked sitting up slowly. "Nothings going to happen to me."

"You don't know that for sure." I said nervously tapping my fingers against my leg. "I don't know what I would ever do if something happened to you." My voice wavered and I cleared my throat softly.

"Hermione I doubt they'll come after me, besides I can take care of myself." Sirius said wrapping his arm around my waist. He pulled me back so I was laying against his chest. I ran my fingernails down his chest and he shivered.

"What do your tattoos mean?" I asked tracing one that was peaking out of his shirt.

"Innocence." Sirius whispered his voice hoarse. "It was so I would never forget the truth."

"And this one?" I asked my voice soft and breathy.

He shivered and pushed me back against the pillows. "Family."

"I love you." I whispered kissing him lightly on the neck. Sirius moaned deep in his throat and kissed me fiercly. We made love until the late hours of the morning. Once we were done Sirius held me close to him running his fingers up and down my back.

"If something ever did happen to me I don't want my ghost to hold you back." Sirius said his voice soft. "I will always love you and I know you love me too but I want you to know you have that option."

"Sirius..."

"No you needed to know that and I don't want to hold you back." Sirius whispered running his fingers down my spine.

"I love you." I muttered pressing myself closer to him.

"I love you too Sweetheart." Sirius said pressing a kiss to my forehead. I fell asleep in his arms and didn't wake up till late in the day. I took a nice long bath to help myself relax. When I finally made it down to the kitchen I found Sirius holding Sebastian in his arms at the table talking to dad while mum was making eggs on the stove.

"Morning sweety." Dad said smiling at me.

"Morning." I said sleepily sitting at the table.

"You look half asleep Sweetheart." Sirius said pushing a cup of coffee towards me. I drank it down like a shot. I needed energy for today.

"I think I am." I muttered rubbing my eyes. Mum placed a heaping pile of eggs on the table in front of me and I started in on them immediately. Once I was done with my plate I nervously tapped my hand against my leg.

The flew sounded in the next room and a moment later Tonks came into the room circles under her eyes. She looked worn out.

"Hey Tonks." I said standing up

"Do you mind if I stay here with you guys?" Tonks asked nervously.

"Not at all." Sirius said kicking out the chair next to him. Tonks sat down slowly and her whole body seemed to sag with relief.

"Would you like something to eat Honey?" Mum called from her place in front of the stove.

"No I wouldn't be able to keep it down anyway." Tonks said shaking her head. At my confused look she smiled softly. "Morning sickness."

"Yuck." I muttered making a face.

"Wait till it happens to you." Mum said sliding a cup of tea and a slice of toast on front of Tonks. She took a sip and pushed it away.

"That won't happen for awhile." I said shaking my head. Sirius frowned next to me and started up a conversation about Quidditch with dad a moment later.
