AN: Okay guys I'm heading up to the cabin for the fourth of July weekend early. I will be leaving midday on Wednesday and won't get back till Sunday. I will try to post as much as possible but I also have to do my job so I'll be doing both. Once again I am not JK Rowling.
I screamed and ducked a killing curse while Moody whipped his wand through the air and killed one of the five death eaters who were surrounding us. They knew we would be here. I threw up the strongest shield I knew while Moody sent one curse after another most of them unforgiveable or borderline to being unforgiveable.
Everything out here was pure, utter chaos. I lost sight of the others but I was gratful I could feel Sirius. And every once in awhile I could hear his thoughts.
"HANG ON GIRLY!" Moody yelled and I looked up from where I was casting a shield charm so Moody could fight. Voldemort was flying through the air next to us. If I could have screamed I would have but I couldn't move for fear. How had Harry faced this shell of a man year after year?
I flung spells at him, every one I could think of, some even from my friend, the half-blood Prince. Voldemort laughed. We both knew I was losing and it terrified me. I only hoped once I died Sirius would be able to move on. Suddenly Voldemort looked at me then laughed.
"ITSSSS THE MUDBLOOD BLACK BRING HER WITH USSSSS OR KILL HER IF SSSHE REFUSSSSESSSS!" I froze in horror and Moody sent one last curse at Voldemort before he had dissaparated into thin air.
"HOW COULD HE KNOW ITS YOU?!" Moody yelled fighting off three death eaters who had converged on us.
"LEGILIMENCY!" I yelled back fighting off the others. Suddenly something felt off inside of me. Like blood was dripping down my front while a knifing pain twisted my stomach but there wasn't any blood to be seen anywhere on me. How could I be bleeding but not? Suddenly it clicked and I looked around but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Hermione?" Moody asked looking me over.
"S-SS-SIRIUS!" I yelled clutching my chest. It felt just like the sectumsempra I had been cut with. Tears streamed down my face and I frantically tried to catch my breath.
"Work through the pain girly I believe in you!" Moody yelled accidentally unmasking one of the death eaters next to us. Rabastan Lestrange was hovering next to us his eyes filled with hateful loathing.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" He yelled pointing his wand right at me.
"NO!" Moody yelled his eyes frantic then jumped in front of the curse that was meant for me. I screamed and whipped my wand through the air. Lestrange went down when I hit him with sectumsempra. Moody's eyes were blank and staring I tried to shimmy myself down to where he was but a moment later his body fell and plummeted towards earth. Tears were streaming down my face and I tried to wipe them away but they kept coming hard and fast.
I was glad the Thestral knew where it was going because I never would have been able to direct him where to fly. My tears were coming so thick and fast I could barely see. Oh Merlin! Moody was dead! I sobbed brokenly as the Thestral headed towards the Burrow. My stomach swooped repeatedly and I found myself grateful I didn't get sick from this high up.
I was almost to the Burrow's wards when a hex flew past my ear. A death eater on a broom was following me with his wand raised. I flung my arm out at him but my curse missed and the death eater snapped his wand forward in a familiar fashion. A searing pain coursed through my body and I fell off the Thestral just shy of the wards.
The death eater dove after me and I recognized him. He was smaller than the others but still broad shouldered. The man in front of me had starred in more than one nightmare of mine. I sent a curse at him and Theodore Nott's mask fell off. His eyes were mad, deranged. Like Bellatrix. He sent a purple curse at me and my stomach felt horrible suddenly.
I knew he would take me in that moment to wherever the death eaters were holding up. There was probably torture in my future if he caught me.
My skin burned and I could feel myself changing back into my normal self. Hair grew out and my body shrunk to its normal size. Tears blurred my eyes and I could see Theodore getting closer.
Suddenly a blue spell hit Theodore in th face and he swerved horribly into the Burrow's wards and got electrocuted from it. I breathed a sigh of relief as someone yelled, "Accio Hermione!"
I knew the voice I just couldn't remember where it was from. My body soared through the air of its own accord and I flew into a man's arms who was hovering mid air.
"Sev?" I asked my eyesight blurring. It was hard to tell if it was really him. Everything was becoming blurred.
"I'm going to put you right next to the wards on the ground and roll you through alright? I can't go through the wards they've put up keeps out people with the dark mark." Severus was blurring around the edges again.
"What did he hit me with?" I asked my voice sounding funny in my own ears. It was slurring as if I was drunk.
"Some type of intoxication spell to easily kidnap you. Come on lets get you back to Sirius. Merlin what happened?" Severus asked flying without a broom towards the very edge of the wards. "I'm going to push you through alright?"
I nodded absently watching the world spin around me. "I don't know Sevy."
Severus was pale his eyebrows drawn together. "He really got you good but how did he get you there?" He suddenly shook his head then looked down at me. "Now I want you to remember something okay?"
I nodded again watching the stars twinkle above me. "George got hit with the sectumsempra curse. I was aiming for a death eater and missed."
"Poor Georgie, Freddie must be devassstated." I said slurring my words worse than before. The world was spinning and my stomach lurched of its own accord.
"The counter curse is – "
"Where's Hermione and Moody they should be back by now!" A nervous voice said close by.
"Shit." Severus muttered and pushed me through the barrier. It shimmered for a moment then I was in the lawn of the Burrow. Luna, Hannah and Ginny were talking quietly together then turned to me eyes wide.
"HERMIONE'S HERE!" Ginny yelled running over to me. She paled when she looked me over, Luna shivered and her eyes looked hallow and Hannah gasped horribly taking a step back.
"What?" I slurred looking down at myself. That's when I noticed the blood covering my pants. I was completely drenched. Had I been hit with a slicing hex?
"Hermione what happened?" My head felt light and it was a struggle to hold up my head. I hated blood. Loathed it actually. My stomach churned and I vomited into a bush on the edge of the property.
"LET ME SEE MY WIFE!" A voice yelled loudly. My vision was blurring again when Sirius was suddenly hovering over me his face pale and his chest bound with bandages. "Sweetheart what happened?"
"Moody died to sssave me." And then the spinning finally became too much and I held my head in my hands and cried brokenly. It hurt everything hurt. My body, my head, my heart, everything. I started to fall and Sirius pulled me into his arms and gasped sharply.
"Oh Merlin, were you pregnant?" Were the last words I heard before darkness surrounded me.
