AN: Once again I am not JK Rowling.

The next few days passed quickly. I asked mum and dad to go out and get a bunch of canned foods. Who knew how difficult it would be to find food on the run. We didn't even have a plan of where to start. And that was why Sirius and I were packing up to head over to the Burrow tonight. He and I were staying over for the wedding tomorrow after Harry's party today. I hadn't heard from either of them since the dreadful fight of who gets to kill Theodore and it was making me nervous.

"Hermione you ready?" Sirius asked walking slowly into the room. He leaned against the side of the door, arms crossed and smiled easily at me.

"What?" I asked looking down at myself. Nothing seemed different, at least not from what I could see.

"Nothing." He muttered shaking his head. "Would you like some help?"

"Yes." I said nodding. He walked over and pulled me up from the bed, his arm slipping easily around my waist. It was still hard to walk sometimes and Sirius was helping as much as he could. He led me down the steps and stopped us in front of the fireplace in the library.

"Do we have everything?" I asked looking around us. Crookshanks was sitting on the couch happy to stay here which was fine with me, I wouldn't be able to take him with Harry, Ron and I when were on the run anyway. Besides he would be perfectly happy with Sirius.

"I think we do." Sirius said patting his pockets for the different things he had in there. He had shoved one thing after another into them mumbling about presents earlier.

Mum and dad slipped carefully into the room smiles fixed onto their faces. They knew I wouldn't be coming home for awhile after today. Mum had cried when I had told her and dad was upset but they understood what I was doing and why.

"I love you both so much." I whispered pulling them against me. Mum cried against my hair and dad kissed my forehead.

"We love you too Sweetie." Dad whispered.

"Sirius will keep you safe while I'm gone." I whispered kissing Sebastian on his crazy curls.

"Sweetheart we should be going." Sirius muttered softly. "The party will be starting soon."

I nodded as Sirius led me towards the fireplace. He deftly pulled me into his arms and threw a handful of floo powder into the grate "The Burrow!" I closed my eyes tightly so I wouldn't get dizzy. Sirius stepped out a moment later into the living room of the Burrow.

Mrs Weasley was cooking at the stove and Bill and Monsieur Delacour were eating at the table. A small pile of presents were sitting on the table. I pulled my present out of my pocket and enlarged it before setting it on the table. Sirius placed a handful of presents on the table and enlarged them.

"Good morning Molly." Sirius said as he helped me sit at the table.

"Morning Sirius." Mrs Weasley said flicking her wand at a teetering pile of plates. They started to clean themselves in the sink. "Your room is all ready for you tonight."

"Thank you Mrs Weasley." I said as she placed a plate of eggs and toast in front of me. She placed a similar plate in front of Sirius. I absently ate my food more interested in watching Bill talk with Monsieur Delacour. They spoke softly in French their heads inclined.

"No need to thank me dear you and Sirius are always welcome here." She said flipping some pancakes. I ate some more eggs, Bill sent me a smile and I smiled back.

Harry and Ron wandered in a few minutes later talking softly heads bent. "Harry!" Harry and Ron jumped apart at Mrs Weasley. They must have been planning again because they looked guilty. "Arthur told me to wish you a happy seventeenth, Harry," Mrs. Weasley said, beaming at him. "He had to leave early for work, but he'll be back for dinner. Our present is for later in the day dear."

Harry and Ron sat at the table. Ron started in on his food immediately but Harry pulled out one of the presents from Sirius. It was a small letter that looked slightly yellowed with age. His eyes widened and he paled as he slowly flipped the letter over to open it. On the front there was small curly writing. To our son on his seventeenth birthday.

I turned to Sirius my eyes wide with shock. He was looking at his plate as if it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen. I turned back to Harry, he had his eyes closed and was swallowing repeatedly.

"What's it say Harry?" I asked my voice thick with emotion.

It took him a moment to answer. He shook his head when he opened and closed his mouth. Finally he passed me the note and my eyes quickly darted across the page.

My darling son.

Your father and I have started to write you letters in case something happens to us. We try to keep optimistic but its not always easy. I'm watching you sleep peacefully as I write this. I hope you know how much your father and I love you. We would do anything for you, no matter what. Even if we don't make it to the other side of this unscathed know that you can trust your godfather, Remus and Peter. They all love you very much (even if you do always scream when Peter holds you). Keep safe Harry. We believe in you to do what you think is right.

Your mother, Lily Evans Potter

Tears streamed down my face and I quickly wiped at them. Harry carefully pulled the letter from my hands and set it in front of him to read it again tracing some of the letters. They had similar handwriting and he seemed to be in awe of that fact.

"Your parents wrote you a handful of letters in case they weren't able to be with you. They left them in my possession with a few other things like your mother's ring." Sirius said nodding over to Ginny who had just walked in. She looked down at the ring hanging around her neck in awe.

"They also wanted you to have this." Sirius said pushing a small wrapped parcel towards Harry. He unwrapped it slowly and pulled out a large gold pocket watch. "It was your father's."

Harry dropped his head into his hands. We all looked away to give him a moment as he cried silently over his parent's gifts.
