AN: Don't be surprised if some chapters hop from multiple perspectives. If you like it please tell me, if you loathe it please tell me. It helps to know what you like and don't like. Once again I am not JK Rowling.

Rodolphus Lestrange POV

I flung around papers on my desk searching for the list of mudbloods I had created. How was it you never could find something when you wanted it?

"Rabastan have you seen the mudblood list?" I yelled looking through one piece of parchment after another.

"No! Keep looking you'll find it eventually! If not you can always make a new one!" Well that much was true. But I didn't want to make a new one. The Dark Lord would be furious when he found out the mudbloods hadn't been imprisoned yet. I sighed and wiped a hand against my eyes. Maybe I had left it at Malfoy Manor? Well it wouldn't hurt to try looking there. I disapparated with a small pop.

Hermione POV

Harry and Ron were playing chess while we waited for Kreacher to find Dung. It had been one week since the wedding. One week since I had seen my husband. In the early light of the morning I always dreamed he was by my side. It made things so much harder than it should have been.

I sighed and flipped through The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Why couldn't Dumbledore have told me what he wanted me to figure out instead of just giving me a book? The man may have been a genius but he was confusing.

When Sirius and I had been dancing Harry had talked to Elphias Doge and dear Aunty Muriel. Apparently Rita hadn't changed in her ways at all and created a book called The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. Poor Harry was heartbroken over the fact that he barely knew the man he had respected so much.

I clung desperately to the necklace Sirius had given me trying to find some sort of comfort. My husband. I could barely feel his presence anymore. It was absolutely terrifying.

My throat thickened and I turned away from the main part of the tent was and cried silently into my pillow. How could we possibly kill Voldemort without Dumbledore? How could I possibly do all of this while I missed my family so much?

Severus POV

I strode into Malfoy Manor my cloak billowing around me. Lucius and Narcissa were quietly sitting in the library reading as if that was the life they longed for. Draco was writing something out on the desk a small frown on his face.

"Ah Severus its been awhile." Narcissa said smiling slowly at me once she saw me. Her face was pinched and pained.

When Lucius turned to look at me it took everything in me not to step back in revulsion and shock. Lucius no longer looked like the perfect pure-blood aristocrat he had always longed to be. His hair was dull and lank, stubble marred his once perfect cheeks and there were dark purple circles under his eyes.

"Too long." I said sitting slowly across from the only friends I had in the death eater circle.

"What are you doing here Uncle –" Draco started but was cut off by a loud curse. The Malfoys paled and sent each other nervous looks.

A moment later Rodolphus strode into the room and everyone relaxed. He started tossing papers around his eyebrows drawn together in concentration his dark hair falling in his eyes.

"Rodolphus what are you doing?" Narcissa asked slowly setting her book on the couch.

"My mudblood list have you seen it?" He asked looking through one paper after another.

"No but you'll find it I'm sure." Narcissa said with a wave of her hand and picked her book back up.

I bit my cheek so I wouldn't smile. It had been easy to slip the list away from Rodolphus. He was probably one of the slobbiest wizards I have ever met. I had slipped it out of a pile of papers and into my coat pocket without anyone noticing. It hadn't even been that hard to add the extra note about the Dark Lord's name being a taboo now. Hopefully the golden trio wouldn't use his name and same with the Order.

"Severus have you seen it?" He asked standing up slowly his eyes wide.

"I have not. It might be best if you just make a new list."

Sirius POV

Remus and I were going over the list of muggleborns again trying to figure out the best escape plan. Nothing seemed to be working well and I was mostly getting frustrated. I crumpled up a piece of parchment and threw it into the trash. It bounced off the side and landed next to the other papers that littered the floor.

"When's the next full moon?" I asked leaning back in my chair rubbing my eyes.

"A little over a week... why?" Remus asked taking a small sip of butterbeer.

"I think we should save as many as we can before the full moon. It won't be long till the death eaters go out and hunt them down." I said running a hand through my hair.

"How do you expect to talk to them if at all?" Remus asked scratching at his cheek.

"I'll think of something." I muttered shrugging.

Remus yawned widely and placed his head in his hand. "How are you not tired? You've barely slept since they left."

It was true. I could barely sleep without my wife pressed against me. My sweet Hermione out on the run to kill Voldemort. I could barely feel here with the distance between us. But I was still tormented by her presence. The pillow she used still smelled of her honey-vanilla perfume. Even going into our room made me think of her because of all the holes in the wall from when she blasted off the muggle models.

"I guess I'm running on adrenaline. Since I have a purpose I'm not able to sit listlessly and wait for my wife to come back from a hunt that could kill her." I muttered darkly.

"Do you know what their doing?" Remus asked sitting up his eyes wide. Son of a bitch! I knew I had said too much.

"No. just that Dumbledore gave them a mission and that they could die." I hated lying to my closest friend.
