AN: So one of my reviewers asked for my name. I guess I didn't realize I never gave out my name. Its Christa. I seem to be getting a lot of comments about liking the hopping from one perspective to another so I think I'm going to keep doing that. If there is a certain perspective you would like to see just PM me or tell me in a review. Once again I am not JK Rowling.

Ron POV

"Hermione cried herself to sleep again." I whispered rubbing my eyes. The hunt so far hadn't been easy on any of us. We had been staying in different parts of the forest of Dean waiting for Kreacher to come back with Dung.

"I know I heard her." Harry muttered running a hand through his hair. I glanced back at her laying on the cot tear stains on her cheek.

"She's having a hard time and I know she's still in pain from what Nott did." I sighed opening a can of soup. It was rather unappetizing but at least it was food.

"How can you tell?" Harry asked pulling out his wand and heated the soup. I drank it straight from the can and tried not to make a face.

"The way she gingerly moves. I think Nott messed with more than her baby making abilities." I really didn't want to call her stuff by name.

"What else could he have done?" Harry asked turning to me his eyes worried.

My stomach swooped and I swallowed thickly thinking of something I hadn't wanted to ever contemplate. "What if she's dying?"

Harry paled and turned to me slowly his mouth opening and closing. He dropped his head into his hands and exhaled heavily. "We really need to kill Nott."

Sirius POV

Remus and I had saved half of the families on the list and had sent them to America. It was the only safe place we could think of. We gave them enough money to get to New York and to start up a simple home.

Remus and I walked down the street wands hidden in our sleeves. We walked up to the home of Emily Lewis and knocked on the door. No one answered. Remus and I exchanged a look before he leaned forward to knock again. That time there was a small scuffle behind the door. I leaned forward and unlocked the door silently and strode into the room.

"CRUCIO!" A small childlike scream tore through the air and I ran into the room. Rabastan Lestrange was torturing a little girl with blonde pigtails.

"STUPIFY!" Remus yelled pointing his wand at him. Rabastan keeled over and smacked into the fireplace. I ran over to the little girl on the floor who was panting heavily her body twitching.

"Don't hurt me!" She whimpered softly her voice almost gone.

"We're not here to hurt you." I said my voice soft and soothing. The last thing I wanted was for her to be scared of me. "We're here to –" I stopped looking around the room. "Where are your parents?"

"He killed them with his wand." She whimpered softly her voice cracking. And then she was crying heartbroken sobs rolling onto her side. "Why would he kill me parents? I thought wizards were supposed to be good. The man who came to tell me I was one was very nice even if he was short."

"Its complicated." I said smiling sadly. How could I explain to this little girl that Rabastan hated her just because her parents were completely normal? Non wizarding people. She was too young to learn of the horrors people could be.

Rabastan started to groan and move feebly. "Lets get you out of here before he wakes up Emily."

"How do you know my name?" Emily asked her eyes wide.

"Because I'm a wizard and I came to save you." I muttered pulling her into my arms. Her body relaxed and she let her head fall against my chest. "I'm from the Order of the Phoenix and I am fighting to keep you safe."

"Why?" She asked her eyes round.

"Because someone should." I said walking towards the door. "Why don't you clean up here while I head back to Grimmauld Place."

"Of course." Remus said with a forced smile his face pale. He didn't want to clean up or dispose of the bodies any more than I did. Rabastan groaned again and Remus' eyes widened. GO! He mouthed pointing towards the door.

I ran out onto the front step and pulled Emily closer to me. "What are you doing?"

"I'm taking you to my home. You can play with Remus' wife or my father and mother-in-law." I said pulling her close to me. "Now I need you to close your eyes."

She shut her eyes and I disapparated away but not before I saw the green light in the windows. Looks like Remus had cleaned up.

Severus POV

I paced back and fourth in the headmaster's office with a glass of Firewhisky in my hand. "Albus I don't think I can do this anymore."

The man in the portrait smiled up at me the twinkle gone from his eyes. We had been arguing for awhile now and he seemed just as angry as I was. "Severus you gave me your word you would protect these children."

"But I'm not protecting them!" I yelled my eyes flashing. Albus smiled serenely and I glared at him wanting to destroy his bloody painting. "They will be tortured by the Carrows. We both know that! They will try to brake everyone's spirit and I'll have to brake theirs too. I'll be lucky if one of them doesn't try to kill me!"

"Severus you need to be here!" Albus yelled finally losing his patience with me. "Could you imagine how much worse it could be if say Bellatrix were to become headmaster or in that case headmistress?" I shivered unconsciously.

"But Albus those children will be tortured possibly chained or beaten." I said falling ungracefully into the chair sloshing Firewhisky onto the floor.

"Just remember Severus... Its all for the greater good." I was really beginning to loathe that phrase.
