Sirius POV

I smiled as I spun Emily around the room as Tonks plunked out a tune on the piano. Jean had been teaching Tonks how to play as an a distraction since Kingsley, who was now head of the Order, had asked her to stay in to keep the baby safe. At seven months pregnant Tonks she looked like she had a quaffle under her shirt.

"Baby I need your loving." Emily sang as I spun her out and pulled her back into my arms. She laughed and wrapped her arms around my waist. I ruffled her blonde hair and she giggled again.

"No dating for you young lady." I said twirling her around.

"Why not?" She asked tilting her head to the side her bright blue eyes innocent.

"Because I said so." I said kneeling so she could climb up on my back. She carefully slipped her arms around my neck and slid her legs around my waist. "Tonks I'm going to make us some lunch do you want anything?"

"No thanks I'm good." She said a small frown on her face as she drummed her fingers against the keys.

"But why can't I date? Because I said so isn't really a reason." She asked placing her chin on the top of my head.

"Your too beautiful for your own good and I just don't want you to get hurt." I said heading to the kitchen where I could make the two of us lunch. Jean had kept her promise to teach me to cook and I was slowly learning. Right now I could make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

I walked into the kitchen and placed Emily on the counter. She looked around the kitchen and smiled when Jean walked in holding Sebastian. Sebastian at ten months old was chattering all the time. Half of what he said I didn't understand but I still tried to pay attention and respond.

"Hey Sirius." Jean said smiling when she saw Emily and I. She lowered Sebastian into his play pen and he started to push around his blocks.

"Jean do you want a sandwich?" I asked pulling out the bread, peanut butter and jelly.

"No I'm good." She said pulling out a soda from the fridge. I quickly made a sandwich for Emily. She thanked me and started eating it immediately getting a smudge of jelly on her cheek. I laughed and wiped her face off with a wash cloth. Yes I could easily picture a life with Hermione and Emily.

Severus POV

I paced back in forth in front of Hannah, Luna, Ginny and Neville. At some point I had stopped seeing them as my students. They were growing up so fast it was hard to believe. And it was becoming hard to control them with a hand of fear. Which was how I had always done it in the past.

"So you four break into my office and try to steal the sword of Gryffindor. Why?!" I snarled turning to them. The four of them stared back at me with blank faces.

"No reason." Neville said shrugging his blue eyes as hard and cold as stone. Where had the boy who had been intimidated by me go? It seemed like he had been replaced by a man. He had a bruise over his eye and a busted lip. Who had he gotten into a fight with this time?

"Yes there is a reason!" I snapped starting to lose my patience. The Dark Lord was not pleased. I had copied the sword and put the fake in Bellatrix's vault. The other was hidden safely.

"There isn't." Ginny said her face blank. Something had shifted in the girl and her eyes had taken on a haunted look. Through the rumor mill I had heard the Ginny had been attacked by Gregory. It had taken everything in me not to attack the little shit.

I glared at Luna and Hannah but they gave nothing away. This year was becoming harder and harder by the minute. It was a good thing Albus was pretending to sleep behind me or things would have been much more difficult.

"Fine your dismissed."

Hermione POV

"How long do you think we need to wait to destroy the Horcrux?" I asked running my hand through my hair. It was becoming harder to move. Something in my stomach still felt off.

"I need to figure out how to open it first." Harry said pushing his glasses up his nose.

"What are you two doing?" A sharp voice asked. I turned around and looked at Ron surprised. He hadn't spoken since he had put on the Horcrux earlier that day. Something was always off with him when he wore it.

"Talking about how to destroy the Horcrux." Harry said his voice soft.

"We have a way to destroy the Horcrux mate." Ron spat his eyes flashing. "You two were snogging weren't you?!" Ron yelled his eyes slightly mad.

"What?!" I yelped in shock. "Of course not I love Sirius."

"And I love Ginny. I gave her my mum's ring." Harry said his mouth slightly open.

"Yeah right! You two have been snogging whenever I've been looking the other way!"

"We have not Ronald!" I yelled my eyes flashing. How could he possibly think that?

"I know you have! What do you think I'm blind?!" Ron yelled standing up from his bunk. The horcrux swung around his neck.

"You would have to be to think that anything was going on between me and Hermione!" Harry yelled standing up so their chests were almost touching.

"That's it I'm leaving!" Ron spat. "I hope you two are happy together!" He took off the horcrux and threw it at me. I looked up at him tears streaming down my face. A moment later there was a soft crack. He had apparated away. I sobbed brokenly and dropped my head into my hands.

I woke with a gasp and stared up at the top of the canvas. It had only been a dream. I looked around the tent frowning. Harry was sitting alone in the doorway to the tent absently rolling the horcrux in his hand. It hadn't been a dream. Ron had really left. He had been gone two and a half weeks. I rolled over and opened the locket. Sirius smiled up at me and I smiled at the picture of us. As long as I still had Sirius everything would be okay. Eventually.
