Whitney and Kevin took their time to enjoy the next few months of being expectant parents of twins. Together, they made nurseries in all of their houses and Whitney went crazy with shopping for matching everything. The media went wild with headlines about the expectant couple with even the tabloids making up stories of them expecting to have five babies. Ever since Michael Jackson became a father, they felt the need to keep tabs of the next huge baby news. Whenever Whitney went out, she had to take even more protective measures due to the paparazzi taking even more pictures of her now that the whole world was on the baby bump watch. Kevin and Whitney were selective in who they spoke to publicly about everything, giving interviews to the few and trusted.

As far as the Cinderella movie, fortunately the production had taken place well before Whitney was starting to show. Plus to compensate any visibility, she wore a plusher, lavish gown as the Fairy Godmother. The TV movie turned out to be a record breaking huge success and a fan favorite. Fans got their chance to take a glimpse of Whitney at the movie's premiere, in which she wore a beautiful Badgley Misdka gown that hugged her curves and protruding belly well. When asked about expecting a couple of babies soon, Whitney and Kevin could not hold back their excitement and expressed how happy they were meet them.

As far as the children, they too were very excited to meet their little brother and sister. Krissy (who was four now) constantly tried to "play doctor" to make sure mommy was properly getting token care of on the days when Whitney wasn't feeling well. Plus Annie, Joe and Lily assisted with the nursery decorating and helping Whitney and Kevin paint pictures for the rooms.

The months went by quickly, and the distractions were helpful for Whitney, who at times, had to deal with the rather pesky pregnancy symptoms. The doctor had warned them that because it was a multiple birth gestation, Whitney would have to take it very easy, especially due to her history of miscarrying. It was discovered that she had a weak cervix, so during the last trimester, she was put on a light bed rest. It was slightly strange to have so much more time on her hands, but Whitney enjoyed actually spending time at home relaxing and not thinking so much about her career. In addition, Kevin took some down time from his and they just spent a lot of it watching television and ordering takeout. It didn't matter what they did so long as they were together. Whitney became inspired with everything that was happening so much, that she started to keep a journal to write her thoughts in. Being the musical artist that she was, she turned the journal entries into lyrics for possible songs for her next album. She knew that she had the ability to be a songwriter and felt that it was time to implement that into her art. She would find time to sit outside and stare at the sky until the right words about love, dignity, confidence, God, and identity would fill her notebook into songs.

Around her later months, Whitney really started to truly show, as the weight on her slender frame went all to her belly. Some days, she enjoyed her pregnant shape. Others she worried that she would be as fortunate to snap back down to her normal size as she had done with Krissy.

"Do you still love me baby, even though I look like Free Willy now?" she asked Kevin as he held her while they looked at HBO."

"No". He answered. Whitney halfway sat up and looked back at him. "Kevin! Boy."

Kevin laughed. "Ask a silly question, get a silly answer." Whitney couldn't help but smile. "I'm serious though. What if I don't snap back after carrying two babies. Would you leave me?" Kevin gave her a crazed look. Women and their pregnancy hormones, he reminded himself. "Whit, that's like me asking you if you would leave me if I got a beer belly. I know you wouldn't because you would love me anyway. At least… I hope that you would" They both shared a laugh before Kevin went on. "You still are the same beautiful women that I met over 10 years ago and the fact that you are carrying my seed makes you that much more sexy." He kissed her tenderly and proceeded to give her a gentle body massage; and Whitney didn't have to question his attraction to her pregnant self again.

CeCe got together with Robyn (with Cissy's consulting) to plan Whitney the ultimate baby shower. They held it at CeCe's new house at in L.A. and invited a slew a close friends (both in the industry and not) and family, including Dionne and Chaka Khan showed up to celebrate the bundles of joy. The event was an all ladies event, and Whitney was so excited to spend time with her friends and family. Everyone was to donate their registry to Whitney's charity under her company, Nippy, Inc. She glowed in a black Calvin Klein strap dress along with a white bow that cleverly wrapped around her stomach as if she was carrying around a gift; it was exactly how she felt. Her hair was styled sleek with choppy bangs. Soon the shower started and the ladies played baby shower games. Whitney almost doubled over in laughter when getting measured by everyone to guess how big her belly was; Dionne proudly won that feat. When it became time to cut the cake and eat refreshments, Whitney had fun posing for pictures with everyone. She also took out her camera and snapped pictures of all of the guests. I feel so blessed to have so many people care and be happy for us, she thought.

Everyone went around to say something about Whitney's pregnancy and even marriage . Everyone gave her well wishes, blessings and motherly advice. As Whitney started to laugh, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her back. Ouch! She winced to herself. She hoped that it wasn't contractions she was starting to feel. She had felt the pain earlier but disregarded it as bad gas or normal pregnancy feelings since her womb had to stretch out for two babies. She didn't want to crank up her anxiety for no reason. During her last doctor's visit, all had seemed well. Her OBGYN let her and Kevin know that the babies were growing healthy, due to Whitney resting and taking care of herself. Although she was barely at 8 months , she knew her babies needed as much time as possible to be nurtured. Whitney ignored the pain. However as the shower went on the pains became unbearable. In addition, she began to feel nauseous and hot. She could not hide it any longer and pulled her mother, CeCe and Dionne aside to let them know how she felt. "Call the doctor" Cissy flat out said. "I don't want to ruin the shower." Whitney stated. "What if it's just a false alarm?" Dionne shook her head, beating Cissy to say something. "Nippy, do you hear yourself? You may be in labor. We've got to get you to the hospital to get checked out." "Exactly!" Cissy co-signed. CeCe nodded. "Girl, everyone will understand. We gotta make sure that you and these babies are okay."

CeCe made an announcement that the party was over due to Whitney feeling possible labor symptoms. The invitees became both excited and concerned; however, they wished Whitney well before leaving.

The pain was getting more and more intense. Whitney was sure that she more than likely would be going in Labor soon. CeCe got her to lay down in the guest room, while Whitney called Kevin on her cell. "Baby, I don't feel well." She told him as soon as he picked up the phone. As soon as she explained how she was feeling, Kevin stated he would be on his way to take her to the hospital. "I don't like the sound of this babe. I'm on my way. Sit tight."

About thirty minutes later, Kevin arrived, where Cissy took him to where Whitney was resting. Kevin kneeled down next to her. "Hey babe, how ya feeling?" Whitney took quick breaths and put her hands on her stomach as the pain had intensified. "Not good Kev." She admitted. Kevin put on his brave face, stood up and assisted Whitney up as well. "Everything's gonna be okay baby. But our babies may be coming a little earlier than expected. Let's get you to the hospital."

As Whitney got whisked away by her husband and her family following close behind she tried not to fear for the worst. Please God. This time, just let everything be okay with my babies. I can't take another heartbreak. She prayed
