AN: Sorry for not updating sooner but my niece was born last week. She's absolutely gorgeous (I might be a little bias). Anyway I should be updating more as long as I don't get writer's block again. I will be starting another Harmony story soon so If you like that pairing and/or long stories be prepared because it should be up in the near future. Ron POV

Harry and I were sitting in the entryway to the tent talking quietly trying not to wake Hermione. I had to tell him something and I was not looking forward to it.

"How do you think Hermione's doing?" Harry asked staring down at the Marauders map. His finger kept tracing a dot with a little smile on his face. It was Ginny's. How I could have possibly thought either of them would ever cheat was beyond me. The bloody horcrux had messed up everything.

"I think she's doing better." I muttered rubbing at my eyes. "But I know she misses Sirius."

"Of course she does." Harry said as if I had said something stupid.

"Harry..." I blew out a heavy breath. This was going to be bad. I had to tell him.

"Yeah?" He said turning to me.

"I need to tell you something." I said swallowing thickly.

"Okay?" He said turning to me

"I..." I sighed. "I lost the basilisk fang."

Harry's eyes widened in shock and he paled drastically. "What? How?!"

"I don't know it just kind of happened." I muttered dropping my head.

"Merlin. Please tell me your joking?"

"I'm not." I whispered swallowing thickly. "I lost the basilisk fang."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST THE BASILISK FANG?!" Hermione shrieked from behind me. Bloody hell this would be bad.

Severus POV

Curses and hexes were flying every which way. Sirius was dueling Rodolphus and Hermione was running as fast as she could trying to get to him. Theodore Nott suddenly cursed her and she fell to the ground with a sickening crack. It took everything in me to ignore them. I ran up the steps to the Astronomy tower and slipped through easily.

"Draco, do it, or stand aside so one of us —" Alecto started then stopped when she saw me.

"We've got a problem, Snape," Amycus said his eyes fixated on Albus who could barely stand "the boy doesn't seem able —"

"Severus..." I couldn't do it. I couldn't kill him. Lily hated you. I froze in shock. He was projecting his thoughts to me. She would never forgive you for all you've done. My lips curled in hatred and disgust. Lily could have never loved you! I was shaking with rage and hatred. He knew how much I loved her. And then it clicked. He was making sure I would kill him. I whipped out my wand and growled two words with all the hatred I could muster.

"Avada Kedavra!" I'm sor- His thought was cut off mid sentence. I killed him before he could full apologize for the things he had said.

I woke with a gasp and gripped my wand tightly in my hand. A dream. It had just been a dream. I wiped my eyes and carefully slipped out of bed. My black silk boxers were pale against my skin but I didn't care. No one was there to see me.

I walked into the Headmaster's office and poured myself a large glass of Firewhiskey. It was hard to sleep without it. I threw my head back and downed the shot.

"You really shouldn't drink so much Severus." Albus' portrait said from behind me. My head snapped around and I glared at his portrait.

"Its your fault I can't sleep!" I snapped pouring myself another drink.

"You can hardly blame me Severus -"

"Yes I can." I muttered cutting him off. The shot went down as easy as the first burning as it went.

"If you say so Severus. Just remember... for the greater good."

"I HATE THAT PHRASE!"

Sirius POV

"I'm bored." Emily said with a sigh. Her blonde hair wasn't in her usual pigtails but hung loose and straight as silk. She was sitting on the couch, a dark look on her face. Ever since Tonks had had Teddy three weeks before Emily had been getting bored more than usual.

"Well what would you like to do?" I asked kneeling in front of her. Emily bit her lip her eyebrows drawn together in thought.

"Would you tell me about Hermione?" She asked, her voice soft. I blinked in surprise and took a deep breath. Herman and Jean looked up from the books they had been reading and exchanged a look.

"What exactly do you want to know?" I asked thickly. Just hearing her name made me want to rip my hair out. I missed my wife so much it hurt.

"What kind of music does she like?" Emily asked after a moment. A small laugh escaped before I could stop it.

"She listened to some older music. Motown is one of her favorites and the other is Sixties music." I said with a little smile.

"Like what?" Emily asked her eyes wide.

"Well," Jean said with a smile. "One group are the Supremes."

"Another is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons." Herman said putting down his back.

"In fact our song is by the Four Seasons." I said with a little laugh.

"What song is that?" Emily asked with a smile.

"Its called Can't Take My Eyes Off You." I said with a smile.

"How does it go?" She asked.

"I'll play it for you." Jean said with a smile. She walked over to the piano and started to play the song. Herman bobbed his head back and forth in time with the music while Emily danced around in front of me a smile on her face. I laughed and joined her after a moment. Emile squealed as I pulled her into my arms. She wrapped her legs around my waist and giggled as I quietly sang with the music.

"Oh Grandma play another." Emily said with a laugh. Herman and I exchanged a surprised look before Jean started into another song.

"I didn't know this was by the Four Seasons," I said as I spun Emily around.

"Yeah this is one of their older ones." Herman said tapping his foot a smile on his face.

I sung along with the song quietly. "Who love's you pretty baby? Whose going to help you through the night? Who loves you pretty mama? Whose always there to make it right?"

Emily hummed along quietly a happy smile on her face. I looked down at her and smiled softly. If this was what fatherhood was like I would happily do it a hundred times over with Hermione. But first I had to kill Nott.
