A Few Weeks Later
Beverly Hills was always beautiful decorated for the holidays. From the storefronts of Barney's and Neiman-Marcus glamorous holiday wear to the numerous designer boutique shops, Christmas lights twinkled about, casting a luminous glow and setting the mood for a festive holiday spirit.
Kevin casually looked around, before knocking on door 3118 at the Pink Palace Hotel at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to meet her here; he didn't want any strange rumors to start floating around the media. No matter how much turmoil and drama that existed between him and his wife, he didn't want the media to add to anything. Kevin was a private person, and he especially wanted to keep his marriage problems as such. He took one more cursory glance, and didn't see any "Peeping Toms" anywhere… in his sight at least. Finally, he knocked on the door.
"How are you? I'm glad you could make it." She stood in a robe and pumps, something that threw Kevin off for a second. She stepped aside to allow him to come inside of the hotel room. "Hey." Was all Kevin could say. "So how's it going?" she asked as soon as the door closed. Kevin sat in a single chair, purposefully, before answering. "It's been better." He told her. She shook her head. "I'm sorry to hear that. Especially with everything that you've found out in the past few weeks." She tried to pour on the sympathy, even though she didn't care one bit. She held up some Cristal. "Care for some champagne?" she asked. Kevin looked and saw that it Whitney's favorite. He had turned her on to the drink when they initially dated. He immediately shook his head. "No thanks." He told her.
"Well how about something else? I can order something to be brought up." She told him. She wanted him as relaxed as possible. That way, she could influence him in the easiest way. Kevin thought for a second, not sure what to say. "How about we get you a few beers? You look like a Shiner Bock kinda guy." She guessed. "Shiner's pretty good." Kevin said slowly. Before he could say another word, she hopped on the phone and ordered this to be brought up. While they waited, she came over and tugged at his jacket. "Here." "Why don't you get out of that jacket?" Kevin put a stop to that immediately. "That's okay. I'll just set it next to me." Kevin wasn't sure where she was going with things. She had phoned him earlier asking him to come and talk. For privacy, she suggested that he meet her at the hotel. Now, he wasn't sure if that was such a good idea. She simply smiled just as the door knocked for the drinks. Once she obtained the beers, she gave one to Kevin and sat across him. Purposefully, she crossed her legs, hoping that he caught a peek of her satin nightie underneath. Now that she had his full attention, she wanted to sabotage Whitney in the worst way…..
"So, what's up. What did you wanna talk about?" Kevin said, cutting straight to the chase. He had to cut his eyes the other way. The lady was attractive, although she was not his type of woman. He saw some of the red satin and realized that this was not the direction he wanted to go in. She sighed. He's playing hard to get she thought to herself. "Well, what are your thoughts about your wife being a full-blown drug user?" she asked him. Kevin gave her an exasperated look. "I don't know….I'm not even sure if she is, what you call, a full-blown drug user. I still don't know what to think. I just hate more than anything that I had to find this entirely out from you, although I appreciate someone telling me the truth."
"I mean, no offense, but she should have been the one to tell me if she was battling a drug issue. I shouldn't have had to hear it from her ex sister-in-law." She leaned forward, purposefully opening up her legs for a further peak. She was determined to turn him on. "I completely agree. I mean what kind a woman would keep all of this away from the one person who she has made a commitment too? She deceived you in every way possible. How can you even forgive her for all of this? I sure as hell couldn't!" Kevin wasn't sure what to think about all of this. The one person that he thought gave her everything and all to him, dug herself a huge hole for herself. Yet at the same time, he believed that she had to have a good reason to keep all of this away from him. Through her guarded and tough exterior, he knew that his wife could be a people -pleaser and did whatever she could to be liked by everyone. Even if it meant hiding her addiction away from her own husband. Maybe she was afraid of what he may have thought if she told him. Maybe Whitney didn't want him to think that she didn't have flaws.
He finally spoke up. "I don't know Leolah. I just have to think that she has to have a reason as to why it was all kept from me." Leolah shook her head in disbelief. I can't believe that he is still trying to find some good in this heifa! "She lied to you! How can you forgive that?" she told him. Kevin looked at her, getting annoyed and a bit uneasy about being this close to his wife's ex-in law. Leolah immediately got the hint and tried to bait him her way before she completely lost him. "You know what? Let's not talk about her anymore." She stood up and took off her robe, exposing her partially nude body. "Let me take everything off of your mind." Kevin glanced over her before setting down his beer. "Leolah, I think you've gotten the wrong idea. I didn't come here to do…this. If this was all this was gonna be about, then I wouldn't have come" He stood up and gently pushed her aside and walked towards the door. "I'm sorry if I gave any indication otherwise, but I'm gonna head on home." She began to get angry. "Home? To that bitch? "You mean my wife?" He asked her. No matter how tipsy or angry he was at Whitney, he still loved her and wanted to protect her. Leolah cackled at him. "Your wife? Seriously? After she lied to you?"
Kevin grabbed his keys without saying another word. Leolah ran towards the door, blocking it. "No!" she screamed. "You can't go. I won't let you go." It was then that Kevin truly realized that he could never interact with her again. No woman was worth cheating with in his book. "I have to go home to my family Leolah, and that's all there is to it." "What? Are you gonna go home and fuck her, since you didn't fuck me?!" she angrily snapped, upset that her whole plan failed. Kevin gave her a disturbed look. I have to get away from this crazy woman before I end up doing something I may regret to her he thought to himself. "You're nuts." He simply said walking out the door. At that moment, he regretted coming and wanted to be at home with his family more than anything. "Go on then, you dumb idiot. You're a sorry motherfucker for letting that bitch deceive you like that!" Kevin told her a choice word before clearing himself from the room. After Leolah slammed the door and crossed her arms, she spotted his phone on the floor. Immediately, a big smile entered her face. "I'll bet the wife would like that know where he's been" she said to herself. She opened up the phone, found the number and dialed it. No one picked up the first two calls.
"Answer the phone, bitch!" she dialed it again, and this time it was answered.
"Hi bae." Whitney sounded like she had probably been asleep. "Why are you calling me on my cell phone?" "It was accidently left here with me." Leolah casually said. "Who is this?!" Whitney demanded. "Your husband just left. I just fucked his brains out, so I sent him home to you." "Again, I ask, who the hell IS this?" Whitney asked obviously irritated. Whitney felt like she had heard the voice before, but couldn't exactly pinpoint who it was. "Look, just tell him that if he wants his phone, he can get it at the hotel where he saw me. I'll leave it at the concierge desk." With that, Leolah disconnected the call and simply laughed to herself.
She was satisfied that she got to somehow pull Whitney's strings after all.
