AN: Trying to update as much as possible. If there are any permanent injuries you want someone to have send me a review or tell me in a PM. I try to take your ideas and put them into the story and if you do I will give you the credit. Once again anything you recognize is JK Rowling's anything you don't is mine.
Sirius POV
Hermione was in and out of consciousness the next few days. Whatever Fleur had given her had knocked her out so her body could heal. Each time I came in to check in Hermione, which if I was being honest was every fifteen minutes, she looked better. Her figure filled out more and more. Her skin wasn't as pale as it had been and she was regaining some color to her face. Her hair wasn't as lank and dull as it had been when I had last seen her a week ago.
I had contacted everyone at Grimmauld Place and explained what had happened. Herman and Jean had wanted to come immediately but I couldn't let them come. I needed someone to take care of Emily and keep her safe. They had agreed but they hadn't been pleased about it. I told them I would send them a patronus when Hermione was doing better so they would know to come.
Harry, Ron and I were planning our break in to Gringotts with Griphook, the goblin. He was sneaky and conniving. It had taken him three days to agree to working with us on one condition: that we gave him the sword of Gryffindor.
Harry, Ron and I moved into the hall to talk about it.
"You can't give him the sword!" Ron whisper yelled his eyes wide.
"It might be the only way for him to help us." I muttered looking between Harry and Ron.
"What if we gave him a fake?" Ron asked looking hopeful.
"Ron, he would know the difference. The sword was made by goblins. He's not stupid." Ron slumped his shoulders and fell against the wall.
"What if I said yes but don't say when I will give it to him." Harry said a dark gleam coming to his eye.
"Harry –"
"It could work." Ron said with a thoughtful look. No it wouldn't!
"Give him the sword Harry." I said looking at him.
"Sirius we can't you know we can't –"
"Yes we can! All we need to do is go to Hogwarts." I said watching their reactions. Harry looked confused and horrified while Ron was looking at me like I was crazy.
"Are you mental?" Ron asked his voice hushed.
"It can't be too hard. All we have to do is sneak into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." Harry and Ron were both staring at me like I had lost my mind.
"That wouldn't be possible." Harry said slowly.
"You might be surprised." I muttered running a hand through my hair.
"What do you –" Ron started but was cut off by a scream. I stiffened my heart stuttered in my chest.
"Nooooo! Sword – Sirius – STOP!" The last word was a shriek. I ran into Hermione's room where she was thrashing around on the bed tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Hermione!" Ron and Harry yelled running after me.
"Baby its just a dream." I yelled sitting down next to her. Hermione screamed again the moment I touched her. I tried to wake her up but she seemed to be stuck in the dream.
"Hermione I'm here and your safe." I said pulling her close to me. She threw her head back and started sobbing.
"PLEASE!" Hermione shrieked pushing at me.
"ITS A DREAM!" I yelled as Fleur pushed her way into the room. She shoved a vile into my hand and I quickly unstoppered it. Hermione threw her head back in a silent scream and I poured the potion into her mouth. The potion worked immediately. Hermione woke with a gasp and almost butted heads with me.
"S-S-Sirius?" Hermione gasped out her chest rising and falling with each breath.
"I'm here, Sweetheart." I said wrapping my arms around her.
"We'll give you a moment." Fleur said throatily before pulling Harry and Ron out into the hallway.
Hermione sobbed and dropped her head against my chest. The night shirt she had been wearing for the past four days pulled away from her shoulder to reveal a myriad of bruises covering her neck and collarbone. I had left them so I could heal them once Hermione woke up.
"Your safe." I whispered tucking Hermione closer to my body. She stiffened and pulled away from me.
"No..." She shook her head and pushed at my chest.
"Baby whats wrong?" I asked pushing her hair behind her ear.
"Don't touch ME!" She screamed her eyes wide.
"Hermione?" What was going on with her?! "Baby? Talk to me!"
She stiffened when I yelled. The look in her eyes could only be described as fear. Was she scared of me?
"I need a bath." She whispered her face pale. What the –? All this was over her wanting a bath?
"Okay," I said slowly. "I'll help you."
She paled drastically and dropped her head against her knees. "Please don't."
I closed my eyes and breathed out carefully trying to control my anger. What was she keeping from me? Because she was keeping something big from me.
"Sweetheart, please talk to me." There must have been something in my voice that made her look up. The pain and fear that was flowing through the bond was horrible.
"It was Theodore." I froze and braced myself. "He t-touched me."
I clenched my hands and took a deep breath. Control yourself, control yourself, control yourself. My body was shaking with the pent up anger and rage. Hermione whimpered and pulled away from me.
"Baby –" I reached for her but she drew away her body shaking with fear. "I won't hurt you. I love you and want to help you."
"P-P-Promise you won't get mad?" She stuttered tears gathering in the corner of her eyes.
"I promise Baby." I whispered. She looked up at me fearfully then started to undo the buttons of the shirt. I wasn't prepared for what I saw. Deep nail scratches ran down the front of her, dark bruises surrounded her breasts and hips. Theodore had groped Hermione ruffly enough to leave bruises.
"Do you want me to get rid of them?" I asked slowly pulling out my wand so as not to scare her.
"Would you?" Hermione asked looking up at me her eyes wide and hopeful.
"Lay back." I whispered hovering over her. She nodded and laid back against the bed resting her head on the pillow. I trailed my wand from her neck down her torso healing the bruises. Hermione turned her away to the wall and shut her eyes. I continued to heal the bruises from my wife's body as she covered her face and started to cry heartbroken sobs into her hands.
