I do not own Bleach.

Jushiro was worried as he was dragged around by his best friend. Said best friend hadn't said a word to him yet, worrisome. Shunsui had addressed him by his family name, even more worrisome. And his reiatsu was also muted, most worrisome. So, he wasn't completely shocked when his best friend slammed him into a cement wall.

Jushiro brought his hands up to try and plead with the man in front of him. "Shunsui...what are you doing?" He gave his friend an innocent smile, but he was met with a sober faced Shunsui. 'I'm dead. I am so dead.'

"I'm just doing what any father does when their daughter is approached by a male. Now, what were you doing, Jushiro?" Shunsui clenched his hands by his side. Every instinct told him that the man in front of him was a threat, but his mind was flashing through all of their years together as friends. To say he was conflicted would have been an understatement.

Jushiro would have backed away from Shunsui, but his back was against a wall. "Shunsui, I swear I didn't know Sakura was your daughter. And you didn't either!" He locked eyes with his friend and held his gaze. Shunsui looked away first while letting out a breath of air. Jushiro notice Shunsui release the fist his hands had balked into as the rest of his body also relaxed.

"Sorry about that Juu-chan. I just can't accept any man that wants to be wth my precious daughter." Shunsui gave his friend a smile as he tucked his hands into his sleeves.

"Shunsui, why do you not accept my relationship with your daughter?" Jushiro crossed his arms while he waited for his friend's reply.

Shunsui's smile lessened before he answered. "You are old enough to be her father. I can't let my daughter date someone my age."

"May I remind you that you are old enough to be Nanao's father. Heck probably even her grandfather!" Jushiro knew he was hurting his case as well as helping it. But he was dealing with a very stubborn person.

"But it's different with me and my Nanao-chan." Shunsui whined.

Jushiro sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Shunsui you're being difficult."

"No, I'm being protective." Shunsui chirped as he smiled proudly.

"Overprotective. And you were also all for helping us get together. Less than an hour ago even." Jushiro wondered how his friend could change so much in such a short amount of time. 'Must be a parental thing.'

Shunsui pulled his hat down. He was regretting offering his help. He liked the idea of his friend being with someone, just as long as that someone wasn't his little angel. "That was before I knew you were talking about my daughter."

"Stupid pink man has a kid?" Both shinigami turned and saw two figures in white walk towards them. "Who would ever have a kid with someone like you?" Shunsui looked down at the little green haired Espada that was talking to him.

Starrk frowned as he punched Lilynette's head. "Don't insult your host. It's rude."

"Hello again Lilynette-chan. How are you doing Starrk? Settling in okay?" Shunsui greeted the two Espada with a smile. All of the Espada seemed to be doing well. No incidents on day one so far.

"We're fine. Oi! Shiroji! Why didn't I get locked up with the zanpakutou? You both know what I really am." Lilynette was a bit unsettled about the matter. What could the shinigami be planning?

"Whatever could you mean?" Shunsui gave the girl a wink once she looked at him. "Why would we lock up an Arrancar with a bunch of zanpakutou? And an Espada even? That would be a terrible mistake."

Starrk couldn't help the bark of laughter that escaped his lips. "Are there any rules you don't break, Kyoraku-san?"

Shunsui gave the man an amused smile. "A few, and only every now and then."

"FOUND YOU LILY!" The group looked over as a small pink haired child ran up to their group while shouting. "I've been looking everywhere! You're really good at hiding!" Yachiru smiled as she hugged the green haired Espada that was taller than her.

"I wasn't hiding Yachiru." Lilynette sighed as she tried to dislodge the child from her torso. Which only succeeded in moving the girl to her arm instead.

Yachiru began pulling Lilynette along with her. "Come on Lily, let's go play more!"

Lilynette rolled her eyes. "Looks like my babysitters miss me. Bye-" Lilynette's farewells were cut short as Yachiru dragged her away with a step of shunpo.

Starrk sighed as Lilynette vanished from his side. He was less worried about her getting hurt, but he still wanted to make sure she was safe. He looked over at the two men beside him as he felt tension beginning to form again. "When did you get a kid?" He noticed the white haired man sigh as the tension was released again.

Shunsui gave the Espada a small smile. "I only recently learned that she did not die at birth as I was told. She has just been in hiding to keep her safe."

"Sakura." Starrk could see gratitude in the shinigami's eyes as he met his gaze. "I can see that." A comfortable silence fell over the group. "Aizen saw it too." Starrk didn't like bringing the man up, but he was a problem to all of them.

Shunsui nodded with a grim face. "What was he planning to use her for anyway?" Shunsui guessed that Aizen was going to try and use Sakura as a weapon, but he wasn't sure what he was going to use her against. Or who.

"Don't know. He never explained his plan that far." Starrk really didn't like being left in the dark. Not after what he and Lilynette went through the last time. "What are we going to do about him?"

"That's not the problem." Jushiro spoke with an almost irritated voice. "The problem is getting Central 46 to let us do anything."

"Ma, those days when you wish politics stayed out of shinigami affairs and war." Shunsui commented mostly to himself. "Well, nothing is going to change on its own." Shunsui tipped his hat up to the two me before he began walking away. He had work to do.
