I do not own Bleach.
Sakura smiled as she breathed in the fresh morning air. This was her first time in the Rukongai, and it was amazing. Her father wasn't happy she wanted to go, but she had insisted. Aizen hadn't shown his face, or even any of his Espada, but he was still a threat. But Sakura wasn't going to let him have control of her life.
She looked over at the small blond beside her. "So Kiyone-chan, where is the best place to get tea around here?"
Kiyone had come along with the girl at the request of the Soutaichou and her own Taichou. You could never be too careful, even in the 1st District. "I'm not really sure. We usually just order it." She noticed a disappointed look on Sakura's face. "But I'm sure if we ask around we can find one!"
Sakura jumped a bit at the girl's enthusiasm. She still hadn't gotten used to Kiyone's mood changes. Although her partner in crime was a little more extreme. But she would never say that out loud, that would just start a shouting competition.
"Then let's start looking." Sakura looked around to try and find someone that looked friendly, but it almost seemed as if they were being ignored. "Who should we ask?"
"Sakura-chan!" Sakura and Kiyone looked around to see who was shouting. "Oh beautiful lovely daughter of mine!" Sakure for a moment wondered what her father was doing away from his office. Her parents had piles of paperwork they had to do. "Lovely flower!"
Sakura spotted the figure that was running towards them and waving madly. Her eyes widened as he got closer. "Oto-chan?" She almost didn't believe it. There running towards her was Suzumi Kirito.
"My wonderful, beautiful, lovely, perfect daughter!" Kirito shouted as he pulled his daughter into a hug. "Look how beautiful you have become!" Kirito spun her around and as held her at arms length.
Sakura struggled to keep her feet on the ground. Flowers had erupted around her father, he was in daddy mode. "Oto-chan...please stop..." Sakure could feel her head spinning more than herself.
Kirito stopped and smiled happily at his daughter. "Sorry Sakura-chan. I'm just so happy to see you. But what are you doing here?" Kirito let his eyes grow large and tears form in them. "Why is my beautiful daughter in the land of the dead?"
Sakura sighed at her father's dramatic actions. "Oto-chan, please don't cry."
"Um...Sakura-san." Sakura and Kirito looked over at the petite blond shinigami. Kiyone looked between her new friend and this strange soul that was acting an awful lot like Kyoraku-Taichou. "What is going on? Who is this soul?"
Kirito looked at the shinigami with a curious face. He had seen a few shinigami around, but they didn't have much to do with the souls around here. They just looked around before moving on. "Sakura-chan, is shinigami-chan a friend of yours?"
Sakura smiled at Kiyone and her father. "Yes, this is Kiyone-chan." She hugged her dad's arm like she used to as a child. "We have a lot to catch up on, Oto-chan."
"Why don't we discuss it at my health clinic?" Kirito pulled his daughter along as she clomped onto his arm. Despite how much older she now looked, she was still is little angel.
Sakura easily kept pace with her father's happy skip. "So you went off and followed your dream?"
"Of course." Kirito lead them to a shop on the other side of the road. he opened the door and let the two women inside. "I love helping people. And acupuncture is an art form that must not be lost." Kirito informed the two ladies proudly.
Sakura giggled at her father's usual drama. She nearly doubled over when she saw Kiyone's confused and shocked face. Kiyone pointed to the man that seemed to know Sakura an awful lot. She turned her face to Sakura. "He acts like Kyoraku-Taichou."
Kirito tilted his head curiously. "Who is Kyoraku-Taichou? Is he a shiniagmi?"
"Yeah. And...he's my father." Sakura watched as Kirito realized what she had said.
"Your...father..." Kirito could feel happiness and sadness grip him. "So you found your birth parents after all."
Sakura nodded in response, a large smile growing on her face. "Yeah I did." She jumped a bit as an idea popped into her head. "You have to meet them."
"I'm not sure about that little flower." Kirito scratched the back of his head. He never thought they would actually find his little girl's birth parents. That adoption agency had them listed as deceased.
"Oto-chan." Skaura placed her hands on her hips and made a scolding face like she used to when putting an end to her father's antics. "I want you to meet them. And I know they will want to meet you."
Kirito gave a sigh in surrender, he could never say no to Sakura. "Alright sweetie. Bring them by the shop tomorrow afternoon. I should be free around then."
Sakura perked up and hugged her father excitedly. "Thanks Oto-chan." She smiled happily as her father returned her hug.
I'm back! It feels so good to be back.
