29 seconds.

Sakura scooted around a corner and danced around the darkened spots on the floor, squeaky spots.

28 seconds.

Her foot snagged on something on the floor, she fell.

27 seconds.

Sakura placed her hands down as quietly as she could and rolled forward.

26 seconds.

She looked back to see what had caught her foot and stopped. It was the old cook that always made her cake for breakfast on her birthday.

25 seconds. 24 seconds.

Sakura shook her head as she bit her lip and continued on, tears threatening to spill down her cheeks.

23 seconds.

Sakura was stopped again when she got close to the halfway point on the back wall of the main room. Blood covered almost every surface. Bodies scattered everywhere. It looked like one of those bad horror movies that always had too much gore. Sakura thought she might vomit.

22 seconds. 21 seconds. 20 seconds.

'GET YOURSELF TOGETHER. THIS WONT BE THE WORSE WE SEE.' Sakura knew Tsubaki was right. there wasn't time to freeze up now. Her dad was counting on her.

19 seconds. 18 seconds.

Sakura moved past the bloody mess and continued on.

17 seconds.

'Tsubaki, I'm going to need your eye.' Sakura blinked, allowing Tsubaki to switch out her blind, blue eye for her working, red eye.

16 seconds.

"Don't be shy, Shinigami-san." Sakura froze at the sound of the voice. It sounded like it was near her.

15 seconds. 14 seconds.

The sound of wood sliding against wood was heard. Her father had entered the main room.

13 seconds.

Shunsui calmly stepped into the large main room. It had to be at least as large as the one at his parent's estate.

The first thing he caught sight of was the Espada, red hair and a mask that looked like a bird. He held a human woman in his grasp with his sword pressed against her throat.

"What business does an espada have with a human household?" Shunsui asked calmly. He still needed to buy his daughter time. For whatever she was planning.

12 seconds. 11 seconds. 10 seconds. 9 seconds. 8 seconds.

Shunsui did not like the calm smile the Espada gave him. "It's nothing personal. Just following orders." The Espada licked his lips.

7 seconds. 6 seconds.

"What business does Aizen have with these humans?" Shunsui examined the woman the Espada held. Her dark hair was knotted, but he guessed she was very beautiful.

5 seconds. 4 seconds.

"I don't care. I'm just glad I got to do the deed." Shunsui glared at the Espada. "Especially since this deals with that damn little bitch that got away."

3 seconds. 2 seconds. 1 second.

"You mean me?" Shunsui smirked as the Espada spun around trying to find the voice. "Up here." The Espada looked up and Sakura's foot landed on his face. He fell back and released the human. Shunsui quickly moved in and pulled the woman out of harms way, her chain of fate jingling as thy moved.

Sakura jumped back and away from the Espada. She knew that wouldn't do much damage. But her surprise attack had done it's, her mother was out of harms way.

"You will pay for what you have done." Sakura could see more bodies scattered around the room. Even her grandmother off to her right. "No one touches my family and gets away with it."

Sakura kept her blade pointed at the Espada as he grinned at her. "I told you I would if you ran. You brought this upon them." He began to laugh as he looked around the room. "They were a pretty pathetic meal. I guess you could consider them lucky. They got to die together."

"Bastard." Sakura growled as she held her zanpakutou in front of her. "Open the sky up and start a fire, Muso-ku." Sakura leaned forward and laid the sword on the ground as she rolled over it. Standing back up with her scythe in hand and spinning for an attack.

The Espada caught her attack with his sword as he laughed. "What a fitting weapon for a shinigami." Sakura slid back as he pushed against her zanpakutou. "Let's see you stop this, shinigami." Sakura looked up as the Espada began charging a cero.

Sakura smirked as a shadow came up behind the Espada.

The Espada smirked as well as he turned and fired the cero off at the shinigami coming up behind him. He laughed out loud as he heard him crash through the wall. He turned and fired another cero at Aizen's little pet.

Sakura spun her scythe and blocked the cero with the dream catcher at the other end of her zanpakutou. It vanished into the dream catcher, a bead lit up.

"Now that's not fair." The Espada spoke looking at the weapon in the girl's hand.

Sakura chuckled as she gripped her zanapkutou for another attack. "Can't afford to be fair. Not against you."

The Espada looked at the woman in front of him as he heard the man behind him walk back through the broken wall. He sighed as he held his hand up to the air and opened a Garganta. "It seems I have worn out my welcome. Fair well, Woman."

Sakura tried to catch him, but the Garganta closed as she reached out to it. Her father huffed beside her, also having tried to catch the Espada and failing.

Both turned when they heard the sound of giggling. The woman they had saved from the Espada was smiling and laughing. At what they did not know. She stopped and looked at the two shinigami. "You both look and act so alike. I can see where Sakura got some of her little quirks."

The side door slid open again and Nanao peaked into the room. "I just called Seireitei. A senkaimon will be opening soon."

"Thank you my lovely Nanao-chan." Shunsui smiled happily at his wife.

"Sakura?" All eyes were drawn to the other soul in the main room. "Who are these people?"

Sakura smiled happily as she walked over to her mother and helped her up. "Oka-chan, this is Kyoraku Shunsui and Nanao, my birth parents. Mom, dad, this is Suzumi Naomi. My human mother."

Naomi looked over at the two people dressed in black kimonos. She couldn't help but draw parallels between the two and her and Kirito. She smiled happily as she walked over to them. She gave Nanao a hug. "Thank you."

Nanao hugged the woman back with a small frown. "What for?"

Naomi released Nanao and smiled. "For giving Kirito and I the chance to raise Sakura." Naomi looked over at Shunsui. "It must not have been easy for you two to give up your daughter, but Kirito and I did our best." Naomi looked over at her adopted daughter. She walked over and held her face in her hands. "You've grown so much. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you, Oka-chan." Sakura gave her a hug.

Naomi let out a breath, she was surprised she hadn't started crying. "So, I'm dead now?"

Sakura pulled out of the hug and looked at her mother with sad eyes. "Yeah, you died. I'm sorry."

"Oh don't worry dear. I don't think Ive actually been living since your father passed on." Naomi tucked a stray hair out of her daughter's face. It was surprisingly tame. "So what happens now?"

"Now we take you to Soul Society." Shunsui gave the woman a gentle smile. "It's what you would consider Heaven."

"But in a more basic sort of way." Sakura added in. Her mother had crazy ideas when it came to religion and their beliefs.

"Oh." Naomi said in response. "So how do we get there?"

The sound of a jingling bell rang through the air. A small black butterfly flew towards them as the sound died out. "That would be our path." Nanao reached out her hand and let the black butterfly land on it.

Kirito waved good by to his last appointment of the day. "Please come back soon." He happily turned back into his little shop. He didn't get much business, but enough to pay rent.

*jingle jingle*

Kirito perked up as the bell to his door went off. "Welcome." He greeted as he turned around. "How can I...help...you?" His sentence slowed as he caught sight of who was in his shop. He saw his daughter smiling happily, a shinigami with a straw hat and pink kimono on, another shinigami that looked to be very pregnant, and a dark haired woman that looked very much like his Naomi.

"Oto-chan!" Sakura ran over to her dad and gave him a hug. She giggled a bit when he continued to stare over her shoulder. "Oto-chan, I want you to meet some people." Sakura dragged her father over to the group she walked in with. She noticed her mother was laughing softly as well. "Oto-chan, these are my birth parents."

Shunsui tipped his hat to the man. "It's good to finally meet you, Suzumi-san."

Kirito slowly nodded his head at the shinigami. "Nice to meet you as well." Kirito looked back over at the woman that he could swear was his wife.

Naomi giggled as her husband continued to look shell shocked. "Kirito-kun, you'll catch flies if you keep staring like that."

Sakura rolled her eyes as she pushed her dad forward. He stumbled, but caught himself and ran over to his wife. "Naomi!" Kirito picked her up and spun her around. "My beautiful, lovely, perfect Naomi."

Naomi giggled as Kirito spun her around, he certainly hadn't lost any of his charm. Her smile only grew as their lips pressed together.

"Really?" Sakura asked as her parents kissed. She looked over and saw Shunsui doing the same. "Now I just feel like a fifth wheel." Sakura crossed her arms as she waited on the couples. But it was taking a while. "Are you really going to be doing that in front of your daughter? Get a room!"

Kirito chuckled as his daughter spoke up. "Sorry Sakura-chan. But you know I can't resist your mother." He wrapped an arm around Naomi's waist as he turned to look at the two shinigami. "Thank you for letting us raise Sakura-chan."

Shunsui smiled. "Thank you for raising our little angel."

"She's more of a little fire spirit honestly." Kirito chuckled.

Sakura rolled her eyes as her parents talked about her. "Why can't I be a fire angel?"

She tried hard not to roll her eyes when both Shunsui and Kirito gave her a pouty face. "Angels shouldn't play with fire." Shunsui spoke as Kirito nodded in agreement.

"Oh my." Naomi spoke while concealing giggles.

Nanao was in the same predicament as Naomi. "Our husbands seem to be very similar. I've never found someone that acts so much like Shunsui before."

"Same." Naomi pressed herself more into Kirito's side, she had missed this.

Sakura sighed as her dads turned their attentions back to their wives. "Oh how I wish I had a father that wasn't more dramatic than a teenage girl."

"That's cruel!" Shunsui and Kirito whined in unison. The room erupted into laughter.

Sakura just shook her head. Despite how much her fathers annoyed her, she wouldn't trade them for the world.

Yay! Another chapter!

And I know some of you are going to ask what happened to Seia-chan. Nanao performed konso on her while Shunsui and Sakura were fighting the Espada. So she is off in Soul Society somewhere. Not sure if we will ever see her again.

So three new chapters up. More to come. I'm back!

Let me know what you think of this chapter.
