Let Music Flow
Malcolm's POV
I happened to be in the magical library when Annabella appeared with a smile on her face.
"Malcolm, my dearest love. Have you heard from Isabella as of late?" she asked.
"No," I replied, setting down the journal I was reading. Annabella didn't appear often in my presence, it was mainly Maribella who did.
"She must visit soon. The prophecy is speaking once again. Much is about to be revealed."
"What has happened, Annabella?" I asked, scrubbing my face with my hands. She had always been cryptic. Why had I thought she would be any different in spirit form?
"That is for Isabella to tell you. Oh the joyousness that is to come." She disappeared once again, leaving me to wonder on her meaning.
A noise from other side of the door had me turning my head.
BELLA'S POV
I walked into the magical library to find my grandfather sitting at one of the tables. He turned and looked at me.
"Isabella, what a pleasant surprise," he said.
I thought about walking out, afraid I what Grandfather would say when he found out I was engaged.
"Grandfather," I said, slipping my hands in my pockets.
"What brings you here on this cold and gloomy night?" he asked.
"I wanted to check the prophecy," I asked.
He motioned to the altar in the middle of the room, and said, "Don't let me stop you."
I walked slowly over to the book. I was shaking.
What if my decision to marry Edward would be the clan's downfall?
No. Stop thinking like that, Isabella. You have made the right decision.
My eyes fell to the prophecy, and I began reading from the top. The beginning had changed which didn't surprise me.
Isabella Marie Swan was born of Renee McCullough and Charlie Swanon the September 13, 2214. Isabella is a very unique little girl and will be the key to bringing together three worlds. Those worlds will appear in this prophecy as Isabella grows and learns. As her grandmother, I can only hope that she will be receiving of all the gifts that are rightfully hers…
I skipped the part about my powers and the mention of the sisters and wizards visit.
Isabella, you may find this surprising, but I find congratulations are in order. I hope you will be happy with Edward. The prophecy can now reveal whom you are to marry. You are to marry a man by the name of Edward Anthony Masen Cullen. He was born on June 20, 1901 to Elizabeth Marie and Edward Anthony Masen, Sr. By now you know that he is a vampire who died in 1918 at the age of became Carlisle Cullen's companion shortly after his change.
Bella, Edward is your soul mate. You met him long ago and, thanks to Maribella, you don't remember that meeting as it was not your time. Don't be mad. Destiny has a way of getting us where we need to be when we need to be there.
Sure this prophecy with your protectors. You've told them some of it, but it is time for them to know everything. You must learn from each group, especially from Edward and his family. The Cullens are a very important part of your life and this prophecy. They will help you to understand what you do not and help you with one particular gift I cannot disclose to you in fear that the mages will interfere. Again, the Cullens have much experience and when the time comes you will need their experiences and those of both magical worlds to do what you must.
The prophecy and I can now reveal to you that your mother always loved your father and that is why she gave you his last name and made him your godfather. Charlie was meant to survive and to help you through this time. He and your mother knew this and that is the reason Charlie left to go into space. Renee loved Phil in her own way, but never as much as she loved Charlie. And Phil loved her and thus you. He raised you as his own and would have stepped aside for Charlie, but that is not what destiny had in mind.
Isabella, I added this personal message to this prophecy to let you know that what happened to your mother and Phil was a senseless act of violence. There was no way for anyone to know this would happen. The same is true about you guardians, Danielle and Matthew Graham. They were in no way a part of this prophecy and not taken into account. I and your grandfather kept close watch on you, and I can say that we are both proud of you and what you learned by living with Danielle and Matthew. They did know of this prophecy and what you are and what your mission is. The time has not yet come for you to know of your mission, but the time for you to know is drawing nearer.
I couldn't catch my breath and the room was spinning.
There was so much information in what I read. The most shocking was how could anyone know before I met Edward that I was to marry him? But that was the very least of my questions.
How was it that Charlie knew he had to leave my mother so he could survive?
Why did tragedy strike me over and over again?
I couldn't answer those questions.
Mom, Phil, Danielle, Matthew, and Grandmother.
Who would die next in an effort to protect me?
"Isabella, sit down"—someone was guiding me over to a cot. "Sit, please, Isabella."
I needed to talk to someone about all these questions. "Mom," I called out, "I need you."
My world went black.
"Mom, where are you?" I questioned.
Someone brushed my hair away from my face. "I'm here, Bella, just open your eyes."
Mom was looking down at me.
"Why did you have to die?" I asked.
"I don't know, baby girl. Maybe it was so you could find your own way in the world. So you could find truth. So you could find love without interference from the clan, even though I didn't believe. But most importantly, so you could survive," she replied with a sad smile.
"I'm scared."
"You are strong and can survive whatever is thrown your way. You have friends who make you stronger. They will catch you if you fall. They will love and care for you no matter if you succeed or fail," Mom said. "And not matter what happens, Edward loves you unconditionally. Tell him your fears. Let him help you."
"How?" I questioned.
"Stop listening to the voice in your head that tells you you'll never succeed."
"But Grandmother said I would never regret letting anyone into my life. How do you explain Jacob? He is hurting me and wants what he can't have," I said.
"Your cousin never listened, even as a toddler," she remarked.
I nodded. Jacob was six years older than me, so Mom would know how he was as a youngster.
"How do I protect those I love and hold dear?" I asked.
Mom stood, her gaze moving the bookcase.
"Blood, life, and magic are the key. Now, you must wake up and speak the truth for those who cannot. Tell your grandfather, Charlie, and the rest of your protectors. They will support and lift you up."
Mom looked back at me.
"You now must wake up. Nearly four days have passed since you fainted, and Edward is beside himself with worry as are the rest. There is much planning to be done if you are to be married here at the castle. Awake and share."
EDWARD'S POV
When Malcolm called me three hours after Bella left, I didn't know what to think. She had fainted and nothing he had tried could wake her. I raced to the Star Command base and demanded Charlie take me to Scotland immediately.
"Calm down, Edward. I'm sure, Isabella, is just fine. You're over reacting," Carlisle said once we were all in Scotland. "And Charlie said the library is barred from the inside. Malcolm is with her."
"But she told us that any of us could enter," I shouted.
"Magic is strange, Edward," Nickodemus said.
I picked out a crystal goblet and threw it.
"Throwing things will solved nothing," Maisie said as she summoned the goblet to her before it smashed against the wall. "There has to a reason magic is keeping us all out of the room."
I said nothing as I left the great hall.

Peering down at my phone, I saw it had been three days, twenty-three hours and counting. Bella was in danger, and I couldn't get to her.
"Malcolm said he would call if there were any changes, didn't he?" Jasper asked, still sending calm waves around the great hall.
"Yes, but he hasn't. Alice, have you seen anything?" I looked over at my adopted sister for the hundredth time since I had found out.
"Edward, I wish I could tell you something…" she stopped, speaking and got a faraway look in her eyes.
I tried to tap into her mind, but something was blocking me. All eyes were shifting between Alice and me.
"What do you see, Alice?" Rosalie and Emmett asked.
Esme was sitting next to Alice and drew her into the safety of her arms.
I felt a tugged at my hand and looked over my shoulder. Carlisle was standing next to me with a worried look on his face but was standing still. Charlie was behind me but hadn't moved an inch either. Another tugged at my hand.
Alice looked at me eyes refocusing. "Edward, you and Charlie have to go and now."
I stood and everyone vanished. Turning, I saw Bella lying on a cot Malcolm at her side. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Charlie stood behind me, and said, "Go to her, Edward, she needs you."
BELLA'S POV
"Blood, life, and magic are the key. What does that mean?" I asked.
"Isabella, it's time to wake you. Share what you learned," Mom said again.
"What if they don't believe me?" I said with fear in my voice.
"There is nothing to be afraid of. It's time for you to learn the truth. Call out for your father and Edward," she instructed.
My mind went blank. "Edward, Charlie."
"Now open your eyes, baby girl."
Coldness swept across my forehead as I opened my eyes. Edward was gazing down at me, concern written across his face.
"How long have I been out?" I asked.
"Four days," Grandfather replied.
Speaking to Edward, I said, "It's time for the truth."
"What do you mean?" Malcolm and Charlie asked at the same time.
"Not here," Edward answered.
I nodded, knowing he want everyone to hear at once.
"The road is cursed by a broken dream," I whispered for only Edward to hear.
