A thief can be distinguished in two kinds of ways: thieves that involve themselves in poor surroundings such as warzones or slums some consider to be an actual neighborhood and the other being wealthy locations such as mansions or banks. None of those two types mattered to Officer Bauza as long as the war was told to the thief and he agreed a side could be chosen.

When a being who could make lightning zap the sea or in Bauza's case a little boy who can shatter glass like a cartoon tuning fork news was told—lied about by people trying to make sense of it—but still news others with Mamodo of their own such as Officer Bauza and his fiery red haired Mamodo Aogan could read as a location for their partners.

Being in this town reminded Bauza of his poor great uncle who died in a prison camp and was buried with other dead people. It was a tale teaching Bauza the importance of being alive and helped his resolve at being a busy officer on a mission to warn Mamodo King contestants of an upcoming war.

"Are you going to buy me a souvenir for this trip?" Aogan asked him.

"Of course," Bauza replied. " On the condition its made of plastic and you look at the person selling it to you in the eyes. I'll give you the money but I cannot alert people I am close by."

Bauza gave his Mamdo the countries equivalence of twenty dollars. His Mamodo walked away with it and walked into a toy store.

He looked at everything made of plastic until he noticed a plastic eel on the shelf. He wanted to strike it, but a trick to buying toys was pay for them then show the toy affection to see if a button falls off or cotton fluffs out of it.

When he was about to walk to the counter he saw the cashier arguing with a teenage boy holding a green book identical to the one human companions use to help their Mamodos. If he was her son someone would have to show the Mamodo a picture of the father because the son was Indian. It wasn't his appearance that mattered; Mamodo's like Aogan cared more about attitude over what some human looks like.

If there was something the Mamodo cared about it was finding the Mamodo probably hiding in the shop or where the human lives.

One thing Van wanted to keep in mind on his very special night of stealing was using a tool of small vibrations. The robbery was underway and the first step was using a twin bladed fence cutting device to break in through the back.

In just three minutes a hole in the shape of a door was sliced open thanks to Van's machine. That was the easy part of the bank robbery.

Bauza was tailing the thief. He knew a place he wanted to introduce himself and it wasn't in a bank. They would meet in a jail. He talked to the police two minutes ago, detailing them about the robbery Van was trying to go through with. Before his call, he let the police of this country know why he was here and when he would be on his way back.

Van couldn't get in the door because lines of lasers were in the door and there was no way in because of that.

"Expected of a bank carrying lots of money. It is too bad a special friend of mine has a spell for this."

Van knew Shizi wouldn't be able to get inside the bank with him but a great coincidence was her spells had teleportation in them. As Shizi stood in front of Van he yelled the name of her spell in excitement.

" RIMPLAGA!"

Three rings of sound unseen by normal people and enemy alike made Van disappear. He popped up again where he was behind the door. He triggered no alarm because he just came inside out of thin air. His thanks and farewell to Shizi was blowing her a kiss.

She was unresponsive to his move.

It would take three things inside Van's bag to bring the steel door down. One was phosphorus shredded off a rare granite rock. The second was a blowtorch he had on him. And the third was the spell book of Van. Even without her presence the moment his energy from within was in synch with the energy she needed he would vacuum out of the room.

In the room of the banks door he would set of an explosion making people think he's failed robbing the bank. It was such a dumb idea and yet so ingenious people will remember it.

"Not another move or we will blow your finger right off!"

Van knew that was a cop's voice who was yelling at him and the same police officer he was able to avoid so many times the police chief who was blind. The chief was joined by five other officers. The plan of blowing up the bank room seemed like a homicidal action now, but leaving the room through a Mamodo book wasn't."

" RIMPLAGA!"

" Dammit thief! Stop shouting gibberish and fall on the fuc—"

Van was already gone from the room thanks to his Mamodo using the spell. The police were in his opinion now gabbing like a nest of chickens uncertain about where the thief went.

" Good work Shizi, you beautiful Mamodo sorceress. Now follow me to where my finger is pointing so we can get in through that ceiling."

The Mamodo looked rattled about the police. What circumstances brought them here? Wasn't her partner being discrete? She knew he seemed cocky, overzealous about stealing, and wise only in that fractured part of his body that produces methane gas. However, he was also the one who shared his tutelage about how to blind into an environment and how to escape.

" Look at me and put that book of yours down." A voice said in a demanding tone.

Van felt a cold shiver down his spine especially in the middle part of it. He couldn't use a spell to escape because there was nothing he could escape into. No door made of glad and no ceiling, but he could walk somewhere on the roof and command Shizi to use her spell on that part of the roof.

" I didn't come here to hurt you. I don't care about your background or this Mamodo battle; I foresee a terrible future in it only avoidable if people create a unity to fight against it. Ergo, we must mingle in my town and train before the battle."

Even Bauza's Mamodo partner found it laughable what he would ask a thief to do. He didn't say "yes" or "no"—he impersonated a seal clapping his hands together for the officer.

" That does sound like an interesting adventure I could partake in to help the world. I will only say yes if you can find a solution to my proposal." With one hand Van readied his book for the attack he would use. " Engarde. Seiru!"
