Summary
When Rachel walked into Callbacks one night, she meets a girl who takes her breath away and they begin to talk then they become friends that move in together at some point. What if Rachel soon realizes that she might having feelings for her after they move into the loft in Bushwick together.
Will they be just friends or will it grow into a romantic relationship. Rachel can be with a girl or guy in this story. She's not putting a label on it.
How will Kurt and Santana react to Rachel being with a girl? How will Finn be when he shows up months later?
Kurt will be in the Second chapter and in the story from now on. Santana will move in a little later into the story.
Rachel and OC romantic story with friendships on the side. I hope you all like this new story. Rated T in the beginning but it will change Rated M later into the story.
There is some Rachel and Meena moments in the next few chapters that will push Simone into asking Rachel to be her girlfriend. You'll just have to keep reading to see when that happens.

In Rachel's POV.
School was okay but I'm still dealing with Miss July being on my case. My sort of relationship with Simone is going really well. I feel like I've been missing something this whole time. Don't me wrong, what I had with Finn was very special and rare but we're not in the right place to be together anymore. Maybe in the future we'll find our way back to each other but we're two different people now.
I'm focusing on NYADA, hopefully starring on Broadway, spending time with my best friend Kurt. He's been opening up me about his breakup with Blaine and I know it still breaks his heart but maybe it's time for both of us to really focus outside of high school. Blaine will always be the love of his live just like Finn will always be mine.
Meena has been on my mind lately. Not in a way that I want to be with her romantically. More like wanting to see what she's been up to and become friends sort of way.
I see her at school and we do look at each other in the corridors at NYADA but we've never really spoke. I have to say that she looks really good from the last time I saw her.
Nobody had a clue that I was dating her outside of McKinley Halls or that I was seeing anybody after my break up with Finn Junior year. She was a Senior at Carmel High but she was not part of Vocal Adrenaline.
We just hit it off right away as friends and then it turned into something more to the point where we were offically dating. I had no problem being with a girl since I really don't put a label on my sexuality and she was clearly into girls.
I'm the type of person that talks about my life all the time but at that time in my life, I didn't want people knowing about what I had with Meena. It was between myself and her and we were perfectly fine keeping it that way until it just to got to point where she noticed that I was spending less time with her, She was pissed when I did that stake out with Finn. I knew it was wrong to be close to him again but I couldn't help it. I was in love with him and it hurt to see him with Quinn.
She called our short lived relationship off after that and I really didn't blame her. My head and heart wasn't in it.
"Rachel are you even listening to me?" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Simone. She was getting ready to hang out with Marlena and Esmee tonight. I'm still surprised that she was friends with her former roommate. She kept talking about how annoying Esmee was. Now they were friends.
"Huh? what did you say Simone?" She stared at me surprised and walked over to me, sitting down on her bed. I just stared at her.
"Do you not want me to go babe?" Of course I want her to have fun with her friends. I'm just going be hanging out here.
"Simone you should go. I'm keeping away from your friends anyways. Go have fun."
She smiles then pecks my lips a few times. I liked kissing her. She was a very good kissing. I could get lost a few times.
"Come back to earth Rach." I opened my eyes seeing her smiling at me.
"Sorry I just love your lips against mine. Go have fun with your friends." She goes back to getting herself ready.
"Um how would you feel if I contacted Meena Carter?" She slowly turned her head, glancing at me.
"I don't have the right to tell you what to do babe. If you want to speak to her then do that. It's not like we're offically dating, you could see anybody you want."
"I know Simone but I kind of don't want to see anybody but you." She smiles after I said that.
"Good because I'm up for only seeing you too even if we aren't offically together." She finished her hair.
"Simone how would you feel honestly about me talking to Meena?" She sighs but doesn't look at me.
"Like I said Rach. You can do whatever you want. I just want you to be happy and if you want to reconnect with an old friend like Meena Carter then do it. I'm not standing in your way. She could even keep you company while I'm gone. Kurt told me he was working late anyways and was going to be eating dinner with his boss."
Great so I really am going to be alone. Maybe I'll give Meena a call.
Simone's phone buzzes.
"That would be Marlena wondering where I am. I'll text you a few times to check on you." She walks over to me once again, pecking my lips.
"Are you sure you don't want to go with me and the girls?" I nodded saying I'm sure. Since I've been seeing Simone, we go out every night. I need to catch up on sleep or school work.
"Alright I'm leaving. I promise not to be home late." She waved goodbye and left me alone for the night.
I left her side of the room and went to my side picking up the car that's been on my dresser for awhile now. I put the number in my phone, saving it. I looked at it then sent her a text as I sat on my bed.
Hi Meena it's Rachel Berry* Rachel B
I felt it buzzing and looked at the text reading it.
Wow, Hi Rachel. I'm surprised your texting me. What are you doing? Meena.
I text her back.
Nothing, just sitting on my bed bored. My roommates are out.* Rachel B
She doesn't get back to me right away. I take my phone with me leaving my side of my room and find something to make myself for dinner. My phone buzzes.
You up for going to club with me? Meena.
Hmm was I really up for seeing her after all these years?
Just the two of us?* Rachel B
I had no clue why I asked her that. I shouldn't be wanting it to be the two of us when I'm seeing Simone.
Yeah just the two of us. You up for it? Meena
I glanced around my apartment wondering if I just stay home or just see where the night takes me.
My phone buzzes again.
Or I could come over and watch movies with you? Does that sound better? Meena
I text her back telling her that I'm up for going out tonight then She texts me back telling me what place she wanted to eat at.
I get ready after reading the text.
At Club Illusion.
When Rachel and Meena got out of the cab that parked in front of Club Illusion, she couldn't believe how long the line was. She looked hot in her gray and black lace strapless mini dress and black heels. Her hair was down in wavy curls. She smiled to herself. She had no idea what club Simone was going to tonight.
"It seems like it's going to take forever to get in here Meena." She stared at her and laughed.
They had fun at dinner.
"Rachel don't worry about it." She just nodded.
She grabs ahold of Rachel's hand, grinning back at her and they walk in front of the line.
"She's with me Ty." Meena tells the bouncer, still holding onto Rachel's hand. The guy just nods and both girls walked into the crowded club that had music blasting.
"He a friend of yours?" She nods.
"A friend of my uncle's. He owns this club and let's me get in for free." They go to the VIP booth and sit down. Rachel takes off her coat and Meena checks her out.
"Damn Rachel you've changed since I've last seen you. This change looks good on you." She whispers in her ear. Rachel just smiled at her.
"Yeah well I'm no longer in high school anymore. I still can't believe we go to same college." Meena just smiles at her and pulled her close as they made their way through the crowd.
"I'm glad you finally decided to contact me after our break up." Rachel sighs.
"I would have liked it we stayed friends after I broke things off. I just cared about seeing you happy and I knew Finn wasn't making you happy, hello he was dating somebody while you were seeing me. He hurt you and yet you wanted him back so I let you go." Rachel cleared her throat.
"Meena I would have liked for us to stay friends too and It could have worked out between us but I just couldn't lose hope that Finn and I could work it out and we did work it out. I did text and call you a few times but you never replied to me. I just figured you weren't up for speaking to me so I just stopped." She sighs moving closer to her.
"I needed time to get over you even if it was hard. It's not easy getting over a girl like you Rach." Meena tells her and keeps talking.
"When I met you I felt something strong and it hurt me to see you still stuck on a guy that doesn't seem like he didn't care anymore about you. I know I had no right to say anything about what you two had. I just wanted to take you away from the heartbreak but I guess I couldn't." Rachel frowns.
"I'm really sorry Meena for hurting you. But I'm here in New York no longer in high school and no longer seeing Finn." She gives her a hopeful look.
"So you and Finn are really done?" Rachel says yes.
"Does that mean I might have a chance now?" She says in a joking matter.
She stared at her old girlfriend surprised.
"I'm seeing somebody, no we aren't couple yet but I don't want see anybody but her, Her name is Simone Edwards." She frowns.
"Your seeing Ella's friend?" Rachel nods.
"Well does she mind if we become friends again? Do you even want us to be friends again?" She shook her head no.
"I would like that Meena. I make my own choices. Simone knows that I was going to contact you so it's good."
"Do you still have the same cell phone number that I never deleted from my phone?" Was she serious? She kept it this whole time? Rachel thought.
"Yeah I do. I still can't believe you kept my number this whole time." She smiles brightly.
"Well I just kept hoping we would run into each other. Who knew it would be at college?" Yeah who knew.
"Meena why don't you come over for movie night tomorrow, it would be nice if we hung out more." She grins.
"I would love that. You still into Funny Girl?" Rachel giggles nodded.
On The Other Side of The Club.
Marlena and Esmee wanted to go to a different club other then Starlight so they dragged Simone to Club Illusion. It was hot club and they wanted to fun. They were dancing at the moment.
Simone was dancing while sipping her drink, when she heared Marlena say Rachel's name. Simone just looked at her best friend.
"What about Rachel? I was going to text her in a few minutes." Marlena points towards the upstairs Bar where most VIP hang out.
Simone looked up seeing Rachel laughing with some girl. Rachel looked hot tonight.
"Did you know she was going to be here?" Simone shook her head no. She had no idea. The girl she was with looks out to the crowd smiling then looked back at Rachel who whispered in her ear.
That girl was Meena Carter, Rachel's old girlfriend.
Simone wanted to step in on their conversation but she remebers telling Rachel that should contact Meena tonight while she was out with her friends.
She wasn't going to be this jealous person that doesn't allow Rachel to hang out with other people. She shouldn't be getting this way because Rachel's her own person and they weren't even offically together.
"Are you going over there Simone and say hi to your girl?" Esmee asked her as she danced to the beat.
"No because I don't want her to know that I'm here. I had no clue she was even going to be here but I'm glad she's having fun and She's not my girl since we aren't offically dating." Marlena stared at her and gasped.
"You two still aren't offically together yet? what's the hold up on making her your girlfriend?" She sighs just looking up at Rachel who was dancing a little to the music.
"I don't want to pressure her into getting into a relationship with me." Esmee and Marlena scuff.
"Girl you neet to stop making excuses. It's getting annoying. You scared to be in a relationship or something?" She shook her head no.
"No I just want this relationship to actually last longer then my other ones. Rachel is different in a good way and I just want us to be in a good place."
"Simone I'm pretty sure Rachel wants to be your girlfriend. I see the way she stares at you. You lighten up her day." Simone glanced again at Rachel who was coming down the stairs with Meena and other people.
"Come on let's go to the other side of the club. I don't want her to see us." They just listened and moved far away from them.
Rachel danced with Meena and her friends for a couple of hours before calling it a night. It was 3:30 when she walked into her apartment and quietly took off her shoes, not wanting to wake up Kurt or Simone.
She had plans with Meena tomorrow for lunch then she was coming over for movie night.
It was so nice hanging out with Meena but now she just needed sleep and it's a good thing she had no classes. She picked up her shoes and quietly walked to her side of the apartment, not noticing Simone laying in her bed, half asleep.
"Did you have fun tonight?" She nearly screamed hearing Simone's voice. She turned on her light and holds onto her chest.
"Oh my god Simone don't scare me like that. Have you been on my bed this whole time?" Simone shook her head no.
"Only an hour. I wanted to be awake when you got home. I guess you went out somewhere?" She says glancing at Rachel's outfit, still half asleep.
"Yeah I went to a club." Simone knew all about her club hopping.
"Alone Rae?" She shook her head no.
"I met up with Meena for dinner then we went to the club together, I had fun." Simone just stared at her yawning.
"That sounds nice. Well good night babe, we'll talk more in the morning." She blows Rachel a kiss before getting comfortable in Rachel's bed and falls asleep.
Rachel smiles watching Simone sleep in her bed. She liked sharing a bed with her whenever they felt like sharing. She takes off her dress and puts on her her night clothes before going into that bathroom, taking off her makeup and washes her face. When she was done, she goes back to her side of the loft and gets into her bed, turning her light off then snuggles up to Simone, falling asleep.
The next morning Simone woke up before Rachel and smiled seeing how cute she looked just sleeping. She was half asleep when Rachel got home.
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes then was about to cuddle into her more when Rachel's phone starts buzzing a few times.
"Rae your phone is buzzing."She groans sitting up, getting out of bed and goes over to her phone and reads the texts.
I had fun last night Rach, you had some dance moves on you. lol. Meena
I'll bring the movies because we aren't watching Funny Girl all night. Meena
Are we still up for lunch today? Meena
Rachel texts her back with a smile on her face.
Simone stared at Rachel as she types on her phone, she figured it was Meena. Those two really hit it off last night. She thought.
"Hey babe you want to do something today before our movie night?"
Rachel looked up at Simone frowning.
"I have plans with Meena again, she's joining our movie night. Is that okay with you?
Simone just gave her a fake smile.
"Great, you two have fun today and that's fine." She says before leaving Rachel's side to go back to her own.
She needed to talk to Ella about her friendship with Meena before she shows up tonight.
Nobody was going to steal Rachel from her.
