Heyyy everyone! Hope you guy's are well! Kendall got some crazy news and I think it's time he share it with Jo!
Kendall's Pov. (continued)
After about 20 minutes I walked back inside. Jo was sitting on the couch looking at her phone.
"Hey is everything ok?" she asked shifting so she was facing me.
"Yeah." I said smiling.
"Who was on the phone?" she asked.
"Oh it was nothing, just my commander." I said thinking of an excuse to go home so I could talk to my mom.
"Well that's nothing, what's going on?" she said getting upset.
"Nothing, he just wanted to talk. I'll tell you later, but I just got a text from my mom and she needs my help with something." I say slipping on my shoes.
"Okay, but you will tell me later?" she said coming over to me.
"Yeah." I said unsure of it.
That didn't make her happy she gave me a mad look and turned around to walk upstairs.
"Hey!" I followed her and came up behind her then grabbed her arms and pulled her back into me,
"I promise." I said then kissed her on the cheek and walked out the door.
I went home to talk with my mom about the phone call.
"Hey mom, can I talk to you?" I said when i saw her.
"Yeah sure, What's up?" she said back and patted the seat next to her.
"Um... I just got a call from my Commander and I'm being evaluated for going back to active duty." I said and immediately tears started to well up in her eyes.
"What, Why so soon?" You can't just go back?" my mom said starting to panic.
"Mom I've been home for almost three months." I said.
"No Kendall. Because you left it's been three weeks. You can't go back yet. I can't loose you again, your just starting to get back to you." she yelled at me and stood up.
"Mom what evaluated means is that they will look at my profile, I will talk to them a bout the last three months, then there's a physical test to see where I am at. It does not mean I am going back. There is a chance but that's how it is, no ones gonna control that but me." I said trying to calm her down.
"Kendall, I can't do this again." And with that she walked away from me.
"What was that about?" Katie said just having walked down stairs.
"Katie, i'm being evaluated to go back to duty." I said calmly so she wouldn't freak out.
"Wait, what does this mean, are you leaving again?" she said starting to panic,.
"It's a possibility. But I have no idea where I stand at this point on going back. " I said and thought of a mission makes me sick.
"But there's a possibility?" she said.
"Yes, Katie please don't freak I need someone to not be upset or mad at me." She nodded and walked over to hug me.
"Have you told Jo?" she said looking at me suspiciously.
"No and I'm dreading it." I said.
"Well you should tell her soon, especially if it means you might LEAVE." she yelled and let a tear slip out.
"Okay, how should I do it?" I asked hugging and rocking her.
It's gotta be romantic. Umm... oh okay, set up a beach dinner, like with a blanket and candles. You guy's can relax and talk." Katie said grinning.
"You're the smartest." I said laughing.
" I know, I'm amazing." Katie said walking to the bathroom.
I took Katie's advice and decided that I would make our date for tomorrow night.
It shouldn't be a big deal, I told her that this was part of our relationship and she accepted that. I'm not saying she won't be upset, but I have to tell her in the right way!
Since my evaluation is next Thursday, I found it was a good idea telling Jo right away so we have time before I leave.
Katie wanted to help with setting up the dinner, so I got everything, then she went to the beach early and got it done.
Jo's Pov.
Kendall said he wanted to go on a little date tonight so I agreed because my photo shoot had been pushed back.
These two weeks have been the best of my life. I finally have Kendall all to myself. He can hold me and kiss me, and we can show our true feeling s and affection for each other.
He's amazing, he's so different from high school. The new things I'm learning about him are interesting and a little scary. He's also hard to get, he's stuborn but willing to put others first.
He knows when it's a good time to be funny and serious. He doesn't smile enough but he's getting there. He's to serious and often times i'll catch him staring off into space.
But he's try's extra hard to be happy when i'm around.
I decided to wear a cute summer dress tonight, so he will want to hold me and star. Ahhhhhhh.
He said he was coming at seven and of course he was right on time and thankfully I was ready.
"Hey, you look amazing!" he said when he walked in.
"Not bad yourself." I said. He was wearing tan cargo shorts and a black V-neck and of course all his muscle shows. I swear he does it to me on purpose but never take off his shirt.
I walked over to him and put my hands on his chest leaning up to kiss him. He smiled and put a hand on my back and kissed me.
"You ready?" he said when we parted.
"Yup, where we going?" I said smiling.
"The beach." he said taking my hand and bringing me with him out the back door and right on the beach.
We starting talking as we walked.
"How was your day?" he said in this hot manly voice that makes me shiver.
"Good, I worked with my agent trying to find some rolls and my photo shoot was pushed back. I'm really liking doing a little bit of modeling and it's helping me get into acting." I said slipping my hand to right around his forearm.
"Good, I'm proud of you. You're gonna we amazing." he said smiling, so I leaned up and kissed his cheek.
"How about you?" I said smiling up at him.
"Good, but of course this is the best part." he said then pointed forward. I looked and saw a blanket with candles lite around it, it was very romantic.
"Ken your amazing!" I said walking over to it.
There was a little basket and around the candles gave light.
"Shall we." Kendall said sitting down, I tried to be classy so I sat on my legs.
Kendall started to pull out a tray of my favorite sushi and a bottle of wine.
We ate and talked for awhile, and of course I stole a few kisses. I really couldn't be happier.
