"You're not really going to do this, are you?" Charlie asked in disbelief.

Dani swallowed hard trying to swallow the permanent lump that had been lodged in her throat all night.

Chuck twirled his drumsticks "She already told her she would."

"Yeah but she totally can't expect you to do this. It's wrong. It's inhumane." Gilda agreed.

"Since when have we agreed that Meg was human?" Chuck asked seriously tapping his drums.

"Seriously, Dani, don't give her the satisfaction of helping her and Cas get together," Gilda added.

Dani had felt tears that were threatening to fall but she managed to suppress them. "It's not a big deal. She wants to be with him, for all I know, he wants to be with her. If he wanted to be with me, I imagine he would have told me by now. I just want him to be happy."

"Dani..seriously, a pre-approved list of love songs. What are we? The Backstreet Boys?"

"Charlie." Dani said firmly "Let's just do the one I've been working on, that way we can run through it. Let's just get this over with. Ok?"

She looked at her band mate's faces, silently pleading for them to just help her out.

"Ok, Dan," Chuck replied.

"If this is what you want, Dani," Gilda added sadly.

Charlie folded her arms in front of her chest.

"Charlie?" Dani asked.

"I just want to present my strenuous objections here."

Dani smiled a bit "Noted."

Charlie broke and smiled sympathetically "Ok then lets rock this."

As the band was introduced and rocked through the first songs of their set, Dani's heart felt heavy. She could barely believe that she was going to help Meg do this.

But it was the right thing..if she really loved Castiel, she'd want him to be happy …right?

In the middle of the evening, she saw them stroll in, Meg's arm linked through his. The sight of it caused her heart to beat faster. She was sure that anyone close could hear her.

As she stood on stage, singing Gilda's backup vocals mechanically, she waited for Meg's signal. Every so often, she'd catch Cas looking at her, his head tilted in that familiar gesture, the one where he didn't quite understand what was going on but he was curious. She tried to smile at him to reassure him but he still didn't seem convinced.

As the song wrapped up, she saw Meg nod in her direction. This was it.

She turned to take off her electric but figured it would serve as good protection. Gilda took that as her queue and grabbed her acoustic before announcing.

"Ladies and Gentleman, we have a new one we've been working on by request from Miss Megara Masters. She's sending this one out to that special someone out there. Sadly I can't do this one the justice it deserves so I'm going to turn this over to Dani."

Dani strummed a bit before looking out to the crowd where a few whistles and claps were heard. Making eye contact again with a very confused Castiel, she took a deep breath. Meg touched his face softly as she smiled and said something to him. Dani could only watch as Gilda began to play the opening chords.

Her voice wavered during the first verse as she watched Meg lead Castiel to the dance floor.

Her voice gained strength on the chorus as she joined her electric with Gilda's acoustic.

Chuck picked up with the drums.

She continued as she watched Meg lay her head on Castiel's chest and close her eyes. Cas looked up, his blue eyes full of something Dani couldn't define.

Dani looked over at Charlie who was nodding at her encouragingly as tears began to stream down Dani's face.
