Just some random drabbling between brothers before the wedding.

Who Says You Can't Go Home- Jon Bon Jovi/Jennifer Nettles

Who says you can't go home
There's only one place they call me one of their own
Just a hometown boy, born a Rolling Stone
Who says you can't go home
Who says you can't go back, been all around the world and as a matter of fact
There's only one place left I want to go
Who says you can't go home

Castiel opened his eyes and had a bit of trouble remembering where he was. He expected to wake up on his apartment but remembered, he'd made the trek to Fairfield the night before to stay in his childhood bedroom for Michael's pre-wedding family brunch.

He sat up to find himself still dressed in the clothes from the previous evening. Even his Doc Martens were still laced up. He swung his feet off of his twin bed and stood up.

His head was pounding because he was working off of only a few hours of rest but he know that if he didn't head down, Gabriel would have his brothers come looking for him.

Climbing down the back staircase, he tried to sneak to the kitchen for a glass of water and some Tylenol.

"Cassie!" Balthazar's cheerful British accent cried from behind the newspaper at the kitchen table.

Castiel turned to find his oldest cousin nursing a cup of coffee. "Balthazar, I didn't realize you'd made it in to town already."

"Well Cassie, if you'd call home every now and then , you'd find out more about my comings and goings," Balthazar threw at him.

"Can you stop calling me Cassie?" Castiel asked as he filled his glass with water.

"I could," Balthazar grinned.

"Well, well, well look what the cat dragged in?" Raphael offered as he entered the kitchen.

"Bout damn time, Cassie, that you woke up," Gabriel laughed "Mom was ready to call the coroner in to pick up your body."

"No she actually thought he was having some sort of seizure with all the snoring he was doing," Raphael added as he opened the refrigerator.

"Ha. Ha. So funny,"Castiel replied opening the Tylenol bottle.

"Don't pick on Castiel," Michael replied as he walked in, hair wet from his recent shower.

"Oh big brother, you know we are just having fun," Raphael replied as he poured himself a glass of orange juice.

Michael patted Cas on the back as he walked toward the table. "Rough night?"

"What's the matter, Cassie, did Dean get crazy with you last night?" Raphael joked as he took a seat.

"Are we still perpetuating the rumours about Cassie and Deana?" Balthazar asked "I thought we'd outgrown that with puberty."

"Or at least when Cas picked up Meg," Raphael replied as he chewed his toast good naturedly.

"And Meg is back in the picture," Gabriel explained to his brothers

Michael looked at Cas "Is she the reason you look like shit this morning?"

"Seriously, Castiel," Balthazar asked in a serious tone, all teasing out of his expression "Haven't we all been through this before about Meg. She's toxic."

"I agree, Cassie," Raphael looked his little brother concerned "Every time she comes into your life, it's a mess. It's not like you can't find other suitable girls to date."

Castiel ran his fingers through his messy hair "I'm not dating Meg. She's just.."

"Sleeping in your bed every night," Gabriel laughed "While you leave someone as fine looking as Dani hanging."

"Who is Danny?" Balthazar asked confused "Please don't tell me you've traded Dean in for another guy. I mean I always thought we were joking about your homosexual relationship."

Castiel's blue eyes looked at his cousin with a mixture of frustration and humour "I'm not gay. Dani is short for Danielle."

"Then why not use her proper name?" Balthazar asked "I've never understand the need for American women to masculinize their names."

"Masculinize?" Michael asked "Is that a real word?"

"Why don't you ever make a move on Joanna?" Raphael interjected curiously "You live with her now. I've always found her to be…delectable."

"Don't let her hear you call her," Gabriel smiled "she'll kick your ass."

"Maybe you should say it," Balthazar said "Then finally something interesting would be happening here in the States."

Raphael rolled his eyes at the thought of the small blonde assaulting him.

"Besides everyone knows Jo is off limits. Has been for years. Dean has dibs, But if he didn't…," Gabriel waggled his eyebrow as Castiel looked at him with a look of annoyance.

"As if you'd have a chance with Joanna," Castiel mumbled in Gabriel's direction.

"You can't have dibs on a person," Michael added shaking his head

"Not quite true," Balthazar replied haughtily.

Raphael nodded in agreement "Allisa McQueen," he blurted and all the brothers, even Cas, laughed and harassed their older brother.

"C'mon Raph, we were in 8th grade," Michael reasoned.

"And she was interested, but you called dibs and I backed off, Mike," Raph emphasized.

"What is the point of bringing this up?" Michael laughed "What was the original subject here?

"I thought we were talking about Jo," Raphael said confused.

"This conversation has been all over the place," Castiel chimed in, his blue eyes widening.

"We were talking about Castiel and his rough night," Balthazar reminded them.

"Couldn't possibly be as rough as marrying Bela Talbot," Gabriel joked changing the subject taking a spoonful of cereal.

"Like Naomi is any easier," Michael countered.

"I'm not dating Naomi anymore," Gabriel announced proudly.

"That didn't last long," Castiel frowned.

"I came, I saw, I conquered. I moved on,"

"With who?" Michael asked shaking his head. "You know Bela is going to kill you if you bring a non-preapproved date to the wedding."

"Oh Michael, you are so out of the loop. Marriage does that to people. Kali is coming with me," Gabriel announced.

It was Raphael's turn to shake his head "You have atrocious taste in women. Seriously, you and Castiel both."

Gabriel opened his mouth to defend his current date's honour but began to laugh when he couldn't think of anything nice to say about her personality. "She's great in bed."

Balthazar shook his head "Now you're starting to sound like a Winchester..and not the one that has manners."

All the brothers took the opportunity to laugh at Balthazar's statement.

"You nervous, Mikey?" Raphael asked out of the blue after the laughter settled down.

Michael looked at them and a wide smile spread across his face. "Not at all."
