Chapter 7
The next day the remaining genin were in front of a three story house "WELCOME" the genin looked up to see their proctor standing on the roof of the house their proctor then leaped off the roof headfirst flipping onto her feet at the first story landing on her feet
"To the second part of the Chunin exams here's how this will work you will enter the house behind me to receive one of ten keys on the third floor you have to take a key and go to the location of the third exam"
"what if all the keys are taken by the time we get there" an Iwa ninja asked "then try and take one from someone with a key and get there before they do"
"Now there are rules rule number 1 all of your teammates must be present and able to move at the point of the third exam rule number 2 each of you were given a map by your sensei it has three routes your allowed to take all participants must follow these routes leaving them is grounds for immediate failure" Aka said flaring her killing intent to emphasize her point
"rule number three to acquire a key killing is permitted these are A rank conditions in the field your enemy won't show you mercy so don't show them any now then the test starts in ten minutes prepare for anything" Aka said before disappearing in a cloud of smoke
Naruto took out his battery "the power of the crimson red can lead your soul away from dread and heal the deepest wounds of hate let no one else decide your fate" Narutos ring glowed bright red as he put away his battery Akemi drew her Katana and Gao leapt onto Gins shoulder
"You guys ready" Gin asked getting a nod from his teammates "then let's show them what team 1 can do"
"Right"
A little bit away from team 1 another team was getting ready "we should be able to avoid any combat if we use the rooftops on the left route"
One said a boy about fifteen with dark skin and shaved white hair wearing an armored orange shirt skintight black pants and barefoot on his back was a strange backpack
"No problem Unagi" said his teammate a boy about thirteen with short black hair and dark blue eyes wearing a black wind breaker over a blue shirt black pants and sandals
"you aren't the one I'm worried about" Unagi said looking to their last teammate a fifteen year old with spiky red hair wearing a yellow shirt with red lightning bolts on the sleeves black pants sandals and red goggles around his neck
"Aw come on Unagi lighten up after all we're the best team in Benisu Island" the red head said
"True Ikuzo you Tori and I are the best team but that doesn't mean there aren't others stronger than us"
At that point Aka appeared again "alright everyone the test begins now" at her words the assembled genin scattered in all directions
"So how are we getting in" asked Akemi "the front door is not a good idea"
"I got an idea" Naruto said making a hand sign "SHADOW CLONE JUTSU" half a dozen naruto's appeared "alright got get us a key"
"Right boss" they chorused before leaping off "that's actually not a bad idea" said Akemi
"Yeah while the clones do the work we'll be rested up for the run to the finish" said Gin
Inside the house the six Narutos were running through the hallway when they reached a fork "which way do we go left or right"
"How the heck should I know"
"I got it we're clones so three of us go left and three of us go right"
"Are you sure that's a good idea"
"We're shadow clones dying is a guarantee now then let's get that key for the boss"
"FOR THE BOSS" the shadow clones chorused before running splitting up
The original Naruto grabbed his head "ow five of my clones died at once"
"How did that happen" "traps lots and lots of traps"
The last shadow clone kicked in the door and ran into the room on a wall were nine keys "hey so someone got here before we left you owe me twenty ryo Ikuzo"
The shadow clone looked to see another team "there are multiple keys Konoha nin fighting at this point would serve no point" the dark skinned guy on their team said "Tori Ikuzo lets go"
"right" they said before vanishing while the shadow clone just stood there confused "ok that was a little weird but I gotta get this key to the boss" the shadow clone ran over to the wall and grabbed a key the shadow clone then ran towards the window and jumped out of it "BANZAI" he shouted
Back on the ground team 1 saw the Naruto clone kamikaze himself in the spot where he had sort of landed was a key "don't even think of doing that"
"Come on Akemi I'm not stupid"
"let's go"
Team 1 leapt off "so which way are we going" asked Naruto "we'll double time it on the right route and try to avoid the other teams if we can"
"EARTH STYLE EARTH DRAGON JUTSU" a voice yelled flying towards team 1 was a dragon made enterly of earth Naruto unleashed a blast of red energy that destroyed the dragon
With the dragon gone three Iwa nins appeared around them all shirtless wearing miners helmets and black pants "I don't know how you did that but we're gonna crush you and take your key"
"Yeah Ki sama you were right waiting on one of the routes instead of going into that death house"
"GRR sounds more like you were being chicken to me let's go Akemi Naruto FOUR LEGS JUTSU"
Gin's body changed so he was on all fours like a quadruped "Inuzuka style jutsu man beast clone" Gao turned into a copy of Gin both snarling Akemi drew her Katana and Naruto made some shadow clones
"heh let's end these Konoha weaklings" the leader shouted before making hand signs "earth style mud bomb jutsu" launching from his mouth a giant mud ball
"fire style dragon flame bomb" the other two shouted setting it on fire sending a burning ball of mud at team 1 who leaped in different directions heading for one of the Iwa nins
Akemi charged forward with her sword next to her hip "take this hidden technique" Akemi said slashing at the Iwa nin
"hah what was that supposed to be" suddenly the Iwa ninjas chest was covered in slashes "hurricane" Akemi said sheathing her katana her opponent falling over
Gin and Gao easily dodged a fire ball from another of the Iwa ninja "stay still so I can hit you damn it"
"why the heck would we do that" Gin asked before throwing a smoke bomb at the ninja "let's finish him Gao fang over fang" Gin and Gao turned into tornadoes that went through the smoke when it cleared Gao was sitting on Gins shoulder with the Iwa nin at their feet
Naruto protected himself in a dome of red energy from one of the leaders earth jutsu "you may have taken out my teammates but I'm twice the ninja they are earth style rock fist jutsu"
With a rock coated upper cut Naruto was sent flying only to be replaced by a wooden beam "substitution jutsu where the heck are you"
Chains made of red energy flew out of the ground ensnaring the Iwa ninja with Naruto standing in front of him "go on finish me"
"Not my style" Naruto said "lets go we have a test to finish"
"This isn't over red boy I'll end you you hear me ILL END YOU"
"Go ahead and try" Naruto said without even looking back before leaping off
On the middle route three genin were leaping across the rooftops the lead was a boy with short black hair and pupil less black eyes wearing a dark green shirt black pants sandals and the Kusa head band around his left arm
"how much longer to the finish Haku" asked a girl to his left with blonde hair with black highlights wearing a wine red colored dress with black shorts under it "Haku I asked you a question"
"Be patient Ayaka" their team mate said a boy with spiky black hair wearing a red shirt under a green vest black pants and the Kusa headband as a belt "honestly your mom should teach you manners"
"And yours should teach you when to cork it Keiji"
"Quiet both of you" Haku told them without looking back "I smell blood"
"This is the exams of course there's blood" Ayaka said "not this much we're investigating" Haku said moving faster
"Wait for us" Ayaka said Keiji said nothing and just followed his two teammates up ahead on the road they saw what could only be considered a massacre "oh Kami"
"so many bodies" what they saw was a large amount of dead genin all with slash marks like claws like an angry animal had been unleashed "whose possible of this much carnage"
"I don't know but I'll beat him if I see him" Haku said "let's go Ayaka Keiji" his two teammates nodded before leaping off
By noon the second exam was done standing before the commander the proctors and the jonin sensei's from the various villages were seven teams
"Twenty one genin well done Aka" Seina commented "thank you commander alright to all of you congratulations now the commander has a few words to say to you all"
Seina stepped forward "alright here's where I tell you the purpose of the exams these exams are a substitute for war"
"What do you mean war" an Iwa kunoichi said
"You see each village held their own exams this practice was discontinued after the third great ninja war to promote friendship and peace among allies"
"So then why we're we allowed to kill in this exam and why was the first exam a test of assassination skills" asked Unagi
"That's what friendship is in this world that we live in to die for the sake of another is the ultimate form of friendship now then we have to do preliminaries"
"Preliminaries" asked Akemi
"Hai we've got too many competitors and since the third exam is viewed by royalty and various businessmen we have to keep things short Rin will explain the rest Rin"
"Hai commander" a dark haired man stepped forward wearing a suit with a sword in a blue scabbard on his back "Alright listen up my name is Rin Okumara anyone who feels the need to drop out now say so"
"Yeah we'll drop out we're in no condition to fight" said Kabuto and his teammates
"Alright Kabuto Yakushi Yoroi Akado Misumi Tsurugi better luck next time" Rin said and they left the arena "the rest of you when your name is called you'll fight until I say so anyone who doesn't comply will fail is that clear"

After two hours boring hours Naruto thought the preliminaries were over and nine genin were left himself of course along with his teammates a boy named Shin who Akemi and Gin didn't seem to like
From Benisu island the two older guys on that team Ikuzo and Unagi
From Ame a boy wearing his headband like a bandana with black slit eyes wearing a mesh shirt blue pants and sandals named Kumako
And from Kusa someone named Haku and Keiji
"Alright congratulations on winning in the preliminaries the third exam will begin in a months' time"
"Huh why a month" Naruto yelled out "because shrimp we have to invite everyone including your hokage to this event"
"Alright" Naruto said
"Alright like with the preliminaries the roster for the tournament will be random" Rin said before he began pulling names from a box
"the first match Haku Yamada vs. Gin Inuzuka" Haku nodded while Gin grinned feral
"the second match will be Unagi vs. Akemi Chang" Unagi crossed his arms while Akemi smiled
"the third match will be Keiji Yamada vs. Kumako" Keiji nodded while Kumako cracked his knuckles and smiled a killers grin
"Naruto Uzumaki will fight Izuzo Soru in round four"
"heh me against the half pint no problem" "who are you calling half pint at least my name doesn't mean let's go shave"
at this a lot of people had to hold back laughter "better that then fish cake"

"enough" Rin yelled blue fire appeared at their feet "great a descendent of a two tails jinchuriki just great" Naruto's ring grumbled
"anyway shin Nara is the odd man out so he'll fight the winner of round four"
"wait nara"asked Naruto "yeah what about it" asked Shin a boy about twelve with hair as black as shadows wearing a dark grey zipped up jacket with the nara clan symbol black pants and brown sandals
"nothing you just remind me of my friend shikamaru"
"please like I would want to be related to that lazy bum"
