Nunya Bizniz

Chapter Twenty-one: Another Delay

The following morning, the crew of both ships were on the Sunny. When the crew from Nunya crossed over Zoro had immediately given Rachel a greeting kiss. Sanji, seeing it, ran back to the kitchen in tears. The rest of breakfast went without too much trouble. This is the Straw Hat crew though, trouble is bound to happen no matter what. It just so happened that it was Luffy, Usopp and Chopper making jokes to Zoro. Brook kept asking Zoro if he had seen Rachel's panties yet. Missy was making small talk with Robin and Nami. "So we'll be able to set sail today," she was saying. "I finished eating, so I'll go and lower the solar panels. Rachel can join me as soon as she tears herself away from Zoro." Missy started heading towards the door.

"Should someone go and help her?" Nami asked.

"She'll be fine," Rachel dismissed. "She's pretty strong on her own."

"I'm worried that she will get hurt doing that by herself," Sanji pointed out.

"Like I said, she'll be fine. Missy's a certified engineer," Rachel explained. "If that wasn't enough to make her tough her two younger brothers finished the job as they grew up."

"Her younger brothers?" Robin asked. "Wouldn't that make them your brothers as well?"

"Oh hell no," Rachel snapped. "I'm not claiming those two butt hea..." Rachel stopped in mid-sentence, finally realizing what she was saying. Rachel leapt up from her place at the table and bolted for the door. "Gotta go!"

Unfortunately for her Zoro was faster. Halfway to the door his arms trapped her around the waist. Zoro lifted Rachel and brought her back to the table. Knowing that she would try to escape again, Zoro sat her in his lap. Now everyone was staring at her intently, waiting for an explanation.

Rachel let out a sigh. "Okay, truth is, Missy and I aren't really sisters."

"But you look so much alike," Chopper pointed out.

"He's correct," Law added. "I can see familiar traits in you both."

"I didn't say we weren't related," Rachel rolled her eyes.

"So you're closely related then," Zoro mused. Rachel peaked up into his good eye. "Then you two are cousins?"

"Got it in one," Rachel nodded. "Missy is one of my older cousins. My mom is one of her dad's older sisters."

"If your mom is older than her dad shouldn't that make you the older cousin?" Bortolomeo asked.

"I didn't say if I had siblings or not," Rachel pointed out. "Missy is the oldest of her siblings, three years older than myself. However, my oldest sibling is six years older than me. I also have an older sister two years older than me. Out of all the cousins and siblings I happen to be the youngest, by twelve days. That would actually be Missy's youngest brother who is older than me by just a few days."

"Anything else you aren't telling us?" Sabo asked.

The sound of a fist slamming on the table drew everyones attention. Ace was sending Sabo a heated glare. "You might be my brother," he started. "But don't you dare take that tone with either of our sisters. What ever else their life story is you have no right to interrogate them and pull it out of them against their will." Most everyone in the room looked like they had just eaten sour grapes. "If they want to tell you they will. It isn't right to try and force it out of them."

Rachel took a hold of Zoro's hand. She squeezed it to gain his attention. When she had his attention she motioned with her head for the two of them to leave. Zoro let Rachel get up and then followed her out of the room. The two went to the back of the ship. Rachel turned and leaned against the rail, facing Zoro. "Sabo is right though," she said. "There's a lot more to mine and Missy's story than what we've been telling everyone. We've been telling the truth the whole time, we've just omitted certain details." Rachel looked towards the Nunya at this point. "We don't share this because it's not entirely believable. It's true, but not within the normal realm of expectations. I want to tell you, we're in a relationship now." Rachel glanced at Zoro, making sure she had his full attention. Zoro stood facing her, a nuetral expression on his face. Taking a deep breath, Rachel continued her story. "Missy and I aren't from this world." She then went into this long explanation of what her world was like. Governments, the people, cities, the ships that sail the sea and airplanes. "Luckily for this world Missy and I have no concept of aero dynamics," Rachel smiled. "We'd be flying from place to place in no time." Rachel then told Zoro the story of their arrival through a storm. "If I hadn't insisted on going on that cruise and then renting BB and LB we wouldn't be here right now. I'm sure Missy would be happy doing whatever it is she did in her spare time and I would be back running my gun shop. Incidentally, when I bumped into you the first time was when we had arrived."

A sad look crossed Rachel's face. She didn't notice when Zoro got closer to her. She suddenly found herself trapped between the rail and the wall Zoro claimed as a torso. His hands were covering both of hers. Zoro leaned in so his face was mere inches from her own. "You think that I wouldn't believe you?" Rachel didn't respond, her eyes just shifted restlessly. Zoro took the moment to kiss her yet again. "I've seen the life jackets," he pointed out. "The fact that neither of you knew how they work was enough to make anyone, except Luffy, give it some extra thought about where they came from. I take it, from his reaction earlier, that Ace also knows this about you two?"

Rachel nodded her head in agreement. "He had a right to know," she said. "He'd been living with us for almost two years. I'm sure he was more than curious with some of the things we said or did, but he trusted us. He let us tell him in our own time. I'm not even sure what took us so long to tell him in the first place."

"Was it Missy that kept saying not to tell him?" Zoro asked. Rachel blinked as she thought back over the past years. Now that he brought it up, Rachel realized that was exactly what had been happening. "It sounds like Missy has more distrust in people than you do. Did you ask her if you could tell me this secret?"

"It's not her business if I tell you or not," Rachel snapped. "I'm in a relationship with you and you in one with me. I told you because I'm a believer in there being no secrets between a man and a woman in a relationship."

Zoro smirked and put his forehead to Rachel's. "Will she be mad at you for telling me?" he asked.

Rachel let out a little laugh. "Oh yeah," Rachel said through her giggles. "It's not like she'll do anything to me though. I know how to handle her."

"Does she get mad at you often?"

Rachel shrugged one of her shoulders. "If she does, she doesn't show it. I know she did back when we were younger, especially the times when I told her she was insane for going out with a creepy dude. She got over it once she found out I was right. Her moments of being angry at me now are less anger and more annoyed tolerance."

"I can see that," Zoro chuckled. He drew Rachel into his arms and sat on the floor, back against the rail. Rachel was snuggled up against his chest.

"We have to get ready to set sail," Rachel reminded.

"They can wait for a few minutes."

"What I wouldn't give for a camera snail right about now," a voice called.

Rachel let out a groan as she hid her face against Zoro. "Not now," she whined. Rachel peaked over Zoro's shoulder and looked at the man that spoke. Shanks was there, grinning at them. "You have a nasty habit of sneaking up on people in the morning."

"What can I say?" Shanks let out a shrug. "I could smell breakfast so I had to come."

"Oh I'm so sure." Rachel made to get up, but Zoro held her tight. She looked him right in the eye then. "You have a bad habit too. You don't let me go when the moment has passed."

"Well you're right about one thing," Zoro said. "I won't be letting you go. As for the moment passing, I don't think it ever will." Rachel's cheeks felt like they were on fire.

"Now that was unexpected," Shanks said. "Hey Rayleigh, did you hear that?"

"RAYLEIGH!?" Rachel doubled her efforts to get out of Zoro's grip. This time he let her with a disappointed sigh. "Why on Earth is Rayleigh here?"

Just as Shanks had said, Rayleigh had come up to stand next to him. "Neither of you girls have called Shakky to let her know how things are going," he said. "I'm here to check on you myself, under her orders of course." Both of the older men jumped over to the Sunny. Shanks started to walk off with a wave. He was on a mission to meet up with an old friend.

"So why are you really here?" Rachel asked. She was facing Rayleigh as Zoro stood up to stand next to her. He placed an arm around her shoulder.

"It's like I said," Rayleigh shrugged. "Shakky was worried about you. You two told us what would happen in Dressrosa. We knew that the time had to be getting close, so she was expecting a call on the snail from you two. When neither of you called, she started to get worried. She sent me over here to make sure you two were fine. It's a good thing we forced you to make those vivre cards."

"So that's how Shanks found us so quickly," Rachel mused. "How did you manage to catch a ride with Shanks?" She held up a hand when Rayleigh raised an eyebrow. "Never mind, it was a stupid question. I suppose you called in a favor. Considering that he used to sail under you and Rodger I would imagine that there's still loyalty between you two."

"Exactly so," Rayleigh looked at the two. "Shakky will be pleased to hear about this. It's too bad I don't have a camera snail to take your picture to show her proof. Is Missy in a relationship too?"

"She has the hots for a doctor that lives on a submarine," Rachel informed.

"Ouch."

"Precisely."

"Now I have to call Shakky," Rayleigh let out a sigh. "She'll be so thrilled to be able to get out of the bar for awhile."

"Come again?" Rachel was now starting to panic.

"Well, she was very peculiar in her instructions," Rayleigh said. "I had to call her if certain circumstances apply. You don't need to worry since you obviously accepted how you feel for someone else. Missy, she's the one that should worry, if we tell her."

"You want me to lie to her about Shakky coming?" Rachel asked.

"Not lie about it," Rayleigh corrected. "Just don't mention it. We all know that between you 'sisters' you're the one that can't lie."

"First off, they know we're not sisters. Secondly, I don't need to lie. I'm a master at half truths and misdirecting information. I don't need to lie if people believe what they want and not what they hear."

"Either way, we'll have to wait for Shakky to get here."

"What are you talking about?" Rachel asked. "We need to get to Zou."

"You tell that to Shakky."

"I'm sure an extra day or two will be alright," Rachel caved. The way she relented so easily caused Zoro to let out a low chuckle.

"So Missy has a crush on Law," Rayleigh confirmed. He pulled out a baby snail and started to make his call. "Does anyone else on the ship know?"

"Everyone else except the two in question," Rachel admitted. "The two of them are as thick as the Hoover Dam."

"I'll take your word for it."
